I went in on a Sunday at 12:30 and they were busy but able to get a spot at the bar fairly quickly. I was greeted by the bartender right away and she had my water and order taken within the first few minutes of me sitting down. I liked that they had options to order half and half for under $13. I got the Louisiana gumbo and crab Benedict. The presentation wasn't top notch as the gumbo spilled out on the plate, however, it tasted great and the garlic bread that came with it soaked up the base perfectly. At 10:45 am on a tax free weekend there was about a 10 minute wait. As we waited for our food I noticed the line grew longer and even had folks waiting outside (in the summertime Texas heat). They use text to notify you when your table is ready with a " return to the host stand" text when they're prepping your table and another one to confirm the table is ready. We sat at the bar because of the shortage of tables. I really wanted to try one of the biscuit beignets, but it comes in an order of 4 which is too much for us. I had read another reviewer say they got a free order because it was their first time but no such luck with us, even when we just tried substituting a single beignet for our entree sides. Oh well. Rules is rules I guess. We got the seasonal soft shell crab scrambler with potatoes side and a hash brown Benedict with city grits which is an upgrade option for a few bucks more over their regular grits (comes with bacon, green onions and tomatoes). Their menu actually has a number of interesting off takes on the classic eggs Benedict. And while the variation we chose was good I'd probably stick with the classic next time. I had read some reviewers complain about the egg Benedict being overcooked but definitely not ours. The soft shell crab was also pretty good. And the omelet underneath has sausage bits which was nice. Jam selection is at the table and they have blackberry, strawberry and grape. We did like the decor there. The yellow just gave it a slight Mediterranean vibe. As we left tons of folks coming in. Good to see businesses thriving. Meal came out to just under $50, and that was without any drinks for either of us. As I've stated before, inflation these days is really putting a strain on the pocket book. Stopped by Another Broken Egg for a solo brunch date and honestly... this place understood the assignment. From the jump, the vibe was relaxed but polished--perfect for eating alone without feeling awkward or rushed. The space was bright, clean, and had that easy brunch energy that makes you want to linger just a little longer. The food? Solid. I went the savory route and everything came out hot, well-seasoned, and clearly made with intention. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, soft on the inside (as they should be), and the eggs were fluffy and flavorful without being drowned in nonsense. You can tell this is a kitchen that knows breakfast and doesn't need to show off about it. I also treated myself to a cocktail because... brunch. It was light, refreshing, and balanced--nothing too sweet, nothing too heavy. Basically the kind of drink that makes you sit back and say, "Yeah, I made the right choice today." I've been to Another Broken Egg Cafe a bunch of times primarily in Austin and The Colony. This was my first time at this location. This time I wasn't impressed food-wise. I ordered the Floridan Omelette which is a cream cheese-filled omelette topped with garlic butter sautéed crab meat, Jack cheese and green onions. The crab meat was bland, I was expecting more flavor. The omelette was also just okay. The flavor was just bland overall. The hash browns wasn't salted which isn't a big deal to me, but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The English muffin was good.The presentation was good however. I also had the lemon berry mimosa. This is my go to drink here and this was very good as usual. I definitely recommend this mimosa. The service was average I don't recall my server ever checking in to see how my food was. She did check in to ensure if my muffin was toasted the way I requested it. I think after this visit I'm done with Another Broken Egg. There's too many really good brunch spots for me to have to settle with mediocrity in food and service. read more

Our first time in and on the weekends like any breakfast place it was crowded. We actually first went to First Watch to have brunch but the power was out! Welcome to Texas. So we drove down the highway and decided to try out this place since we were going to the golf shop a few doors down. Our wait was about 20 minutes and we had a friendly welcome and a super sweet waitress. But the service initially was slow but they were apologetic. We were offered some complimentary beignet donuts which were devoured since we had not eaten all morning. Our omelets were delicious but the goat cheese was really lacking so ask for extra goat cheese if you order the veggie omelet. I asked for avocado to top it off. Our food did take a little while to come out but going anywhere for breakfast on a Saturday morning we expected it. I ordered thw Floridian Omelet and while the crab sauce was pretty good there was little to no cream cheese in the omelet which would have helped to cut the richness of the sauce. Place was full on Saturday around 1:00 PM. We waited 15-20 minutes for a table for two. Pumpkin Spiced Pancakes ($14.99) The three pancakes, albeit not looking anything like the menu photo, were delicious. They were warm and lots of flavor. Wasn't huge on the fried sage but it was still a nice touch and could be easily picked off if they aren't your thing. The side sausages were warm and tasty, however, the side eggs came cold. Crab Cake Benedict ($16.49) Crab cake was not evenly salted and the hollandaise sauce was more a gravy in both texture and flavor. No lemon or sour/tang flavor. The poached eggs were also overcooked and I didn't get a yolk pop. These came with a side of potatoes which were good in flavor, but cold. Foodwise, it was a 3*. Pumpkin spiced pancakes and the sausage were good but the crab cake benedict was poorly done. Also, the eggs and potatoes coming to the table cold was not received well. -1 star for service. The server came to our table about 8-9 times to keep checking up on us. She also left the bill right after the food came, and even picked up the tipped bill right after I signed it, even before the food was done being eaten. There's a lot to choose from at Another Broken Egg. I had the Smoked Salmon Benedict with a Spiked Irish Coffee, and I enjoyed both of these dishes. Pairing Irish whiskey with coffee helps to mask the harsh whiskey aftertaste (what I imagine a sharpie marker tastes like) and create a satisfying alcoholic beverage. What holds this establishment back are the lackluster sides paired with the main dishes. I had the country potatoes and some grits, and both were unseasoned. Of course, they do have salt/pepper/hot sauce on all the tables so you can use them to drown out the unseasoned starchiness in these side dishes. But I'd rather just have them taste good to begin with. read more

This is hard to not give a higher rating but I have to base my reviews off my experience as a whole. I want to start off with our service from Jade, which was great. My hot chocolate was good, tasted like some boxed Swiss miss but I liked it. I loved they decorated so well for Christmas. My dad ordered biscuits and gravy and I ordered a "traditional day starter" scrambled eggs, ham, biscuit and potatoes. My potatoes were the best thing on the plate, and they were very plain but crispy and I really did like them. My scrambled eggs were very runny. I couldn't finish them. If I wanted runny I would have ordered over easy. Or soft scrambled, which should be advised of if that's how they're cooked. The ham was okay. The biscuit was fine but I don't know what's up with "biscuits" around here when they are more like bread. I want a real biscuit, closest I've found was at the toasted yolk. What's really the strangest part is my dads biscuits came out, one had Gravy... one had.... GRITS. It was so weird, how did that even happen?!? I'm guessing Jade didn't notice since sausage Patties were placed on top but she immediately brought him another biscuit with just gravy lol. Her and another lady, I didn't get her name, really were great to chat with after our meal. I don't live here and this was a nice large country bumpkin breakfast restaurant but not sure I would return, still looking for a blow you away breakfast joint around the Woodlands. Another Broken Egg is a real A++ diner! This was my first dining experience here and everything was perfect! Everything from the food, the service and the decor of the diner were great! Really a nice escape and enjoyable experience! From the outside, this diner seems very unassuming and not what it is on the inside. Walking in, I realized that it is much larger and goes further back than I had expected. The decor is a really great comfortable Texas style diner that is modern yet classic farmhouse style. Although it seemed quite busy inside we were still seated rather quickly. We were very also quickly greeted by our server who had a wonderful attitude! One of my top great impressions was that from time of ordering food to bring it out to your table was really quick! Nice! We ordered two breakfasts: the Day Starter which came with eggs, a choice of breakfast meat, potatoes and a bread. I opted for the scrambled eggs (no cheese), bacon, diced potatoes and a biscuit. Our other meal was the buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, scrambled eggs and bacon. Served with that was coffee. To start off, the coffee is really excellent here! Not too bitter or too watery. Scrambled eggs came out perfect and really a nice bright yellow letting you know it's fresh eggs. The bacon was really good quality and cooked just right and the potatoes were great without being greasy. The biscuit was a really good consistency with a nice flaky buttery taste to it. Overall you could tell that all of the foods were cooked with fresh butter and not just grease which makes a big difference. The buttermilk pancakes were just the right texture and fluff and the blueberries in it were fresh and plump and not dried out like some other diners. The pancakes are up here was also serve warm which makes a big difference when you're eating pancakes. The staff here was super friendly and very attentive which made a great that you never had to ask for refills/they were just automatically provided. Really good sense of attention and also great attitudes with a great smile. The amount of room inside can serve a lot of people and the tables were kept very nice and clean and well stocked on condiments. The back dining area was actually a really great experience because there's a lot of big windows and plenty of elbow room. The final average cost was about $20 per person. I give Another Broken Egg two very BIG thumbs up for being a great diner! Everything that you would want forrom a diner is brought to fruition here. Came here for a last minute brunch with a visiting friend and did not want to travel to the city. Upon entering, it looked like a generic diner so my expectations were low. I decided to order the Shrimp and grits city style that came with garlic bread. Woah. I did not see that coming. I was clearly too quick to judge. The flavor was so good! The grits were creamy. As many times as I have been here I haven't given them a review which is surprising to me. This is my go to brunch spot when I'm in the area. There is usually a wait so I call ahead. I love the food here. Each time I try something new and I've never disliked anything I've had. The staff are courteous and attentive as busy as it is there. This last visit I had the salmon eggs Benedict, my son had the Mardi Gras omelette, and my daughter had their signature egg biscuit. I don't love the potatoes but they are good, the grits are better. I forgot to mention the mimosas are good and kind of strong. I usually have one of the bloody Mary's which are amazing. If you are in the Shenandoah/The Woodlands area and have never been to Another Broken Egg, give them a try and let me know what you think. read more

Dakota was the sweetest most personable waitress you could ask for. She was right there when we needed her. My husband never had to ask to have his coffee filled up. She was the best. The food is always great. When we moved to Conroe this is the first place we ate at and have always had great service. We are moving and this is the place we picked for our breakfast to be our last to eat at in Conroe. We use to eat here like every week. It's so delicious. I was actually here this past Friday. We waited about 30 mins before we were seated because of the long line which is usually a good sign. The waitress/bartender named Sarah (I believe that's how you say her name at least that's what all the staff at the front told us her name was, idk if that's her name, she was a short lady with glasses and wrist bands on her arm) was very inpatient as evidenced by her body language, tone of voice and facial expressions. My wife has dietary restrictions and we weren't given a vegetarian menu when we were seated... we had to ask for it.. because we weren't asked at all. ( I don't know if it's apart of their policy to naturally give out their menus with dietary restrictions, but I think they should OR the server needs to ask the customer if they have any dietary restrictions prior taking an order... which did not happen here) We were trying to find out what to order and know what the best options were, so occasionally we like to ask whoever our server is for any recommendations. She made it seem like some of the food was nasty by saying one comment about the grits, saying they were "plain" with a negative look on her face. ( Just say what you suggest instead of the grits.) When my wife asked for a recommendation she just pointed (did not say a word) to the menu items that were highlighted in Bold. At this point we take our own time to go over the menu because we wanted to have modifications to our order, but Sarah was very impatient. Sarah then storms off and I politely call Sarah back but she ignores me and continues to another table immediately. At this point we waited a good long while and she did not return. We decided that we would not spend our money at this establishment. As I sit and type this review I just remembered... their beverages! Before coming to this establishment I checked the menu on their website which said "%100 pure fresh squeezed orange juice" and "%100 pure fresh pressed apple juice". When we were told by Sarah that "we don't have fresh squeezed anything, just "Simply's" brand of apple juice and orange juice. I was completely heartbroken not going to lie, but then I saw on their physical menu which confirmed what she said. In my opinion the website needs to reflect what the physical menu says because Shakespeare once said.. " Expectation is the root of all heartache"... but then again I could have looked at the beverage physical menu first before having confidence and excitement into ordering what I thought I knew based off the online menu but I digress... I try to give people the benefit of the doubt.. we all have bad days, but it's on you as an adult how you control your emotions or maybe you shouldn't be in customer service, I don't know that's not my job to figure out all I know is that customer service is the first line of defense in any establishment to set the tone of the customers experience. Sadly, Another Broken Egg dropped an important egg today and we won't be back. First impressions mean a lot. read more

We ordered pickup, total miss! The worst breakfast I have had presentation was not pleasing as well too salty. The waffle was spongy (even placed in toaster never crispy,doughy) lacking proper ingredients. The "steak omelet" was a scrambled mess, never appeared to be an omelet. I was in the area for work and looked this place up the night before. I was sold on the lemon blueberry goat cheese pancakes the night before when I checked out their menu! Service was excellent. The waitress was super kind, and even made me a to-go coffee. The side eggs lacked seasoning, but the salty bacon made up for it. The pancakes were more incredible than I thought they'd be! Two waitresses (not mine) were busy chit chatting while one was wiping down chairs. They didn't give two effs they were blocking the way to the restroom, because the other path was where people were bringing out the food. Overall, the restaurant manages the crowd and is extremely friendly & enthusiastic. The menu is heavily influenced by tastes of the south, highlighting creole flavor. There's some sweet, some savory, and even a bit for the healthy-conscious. You can also order a boozy coffee or brunch cocktail, if you fancy. Some of my personal favorites from the classic items are the shrimp with "city style" grits or the lobster & brie omelette, and I always make a point to check what seasonal dishes are offered on the menu.
