First time visit. I had High expectations but it's not for me.. service is spot on and the menu is great but the flavors are for others. The Huevos Rancheros were over tortilla chips and had chopped onions mixed in.. was filling but not very tasty nor Mexican.. The sage sausage was very heavy in sage . Reminded me of Thanksgiving. The locals love it here so they must be doing something right... As for me, I might not be coming back .. just my opinion. read more

A gem in the woodlands area. The restaurant is super cute and the service was tremendous. From the time we were greeted upon arrival until the time we left I felt like we were taken very good care of. The omelet and breakfast sandwich that my wife and I order were both delicious. We also split some beignets and they were also good. Hopefully you don't come here when you're on a diet! read more

While I don't enjoy being denied of the table I chose, I understand they have their arrangements with their space. I think if the customer comes requesting a specific table, the appreciation would have been shown. Regardless, I ordered chilaquiles and liked them, the sauce was good and tasty. Our waitress was very attentive and friendly. The chilaquiles were no longer on the menu, but she said she could put in the request, glad she did. I enjoyed my meal, it wasn't crowded, food was tasty, and I was never with an empty cup. I will definitely come back! read more

Very nice atmosphere. There was a bit of a wait but not too bad. We are picky on our breastfast/brunch places and had a toddler with us so we were pleasantly surprised. The waitress brought our little girl a strawberry yogurt and she loved it! All our food came out nicely presented and was very delicious! The Mimosas were also great and tasty! FYI. This place gets BUSY. Highly recommended reserving a table or calling ahead on weekends. Although they are extremely busy, do not make the mistake of assuming bad/slow service. Both my meal and drinks arrived very quickly. Everything I had, was enjoyable and tasty. Loved the rimmed flavors on my cocktails. The spiked Carmel cold brew is one of the best spiked coffees I ever encountered. The food was equally delicious. If you like a Cajun twist - this is the perfect breakfast spot for you Although - the atmosphere is pretty average and lacking - nothing memorable, especially with the crowd. read more

My husband and I have come here on the weekends. Usually pretty crowded. 30-40 minute waits. Experience has always been ok-good. but today.. we came here today (Friday at about 11:00), were sat immediately and I got the brunch jambalaya bowl and the bourbon street pancakes. My husband got the biscuits and gravy. The jambalaya bowl was so freaking good. I was blown away. I wish I had two stomachs for it. It comes with shrimp, crawfish, andouille sausage and eggs in the jambalaya rice. The portions of the meat were so generous. Whole pieces of shrimp and crawfish. Not just tiny pieces chopped up and sprinkled across the top. There was some if all of it in every bite. I got so full I was upset that I could not finish it. Yet I did start on the pancakes afterwards. They were ALSO amazing. My husband said his biscuits and gravy were on point. Kelsey our server was very sweet, too. I don't know who the cook was today but daaang.. I'll make sure to come during Friday brunch hour more often. read more

Stopped in here for breakfast while in town visiting a buddy for his birthday. We had a few mimosas and got something to eat. I personally got a chicken and egg biscuit sandwich and it was really tasty. Good flavor and tender chicken. The mimosas were solid. The service was top notch. All in all was a good experience and very tasty. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe in near the Woodlands severes up great breakfast and brunch fare with a hint of Cajun influence. I really enjoyed the bourbon pancake and baked thick cut bacon. Eh... it's OK, not 4 stars... 3.5 would be my take... Came here for the reviews but, I'm starting to think that the majority have never left Shenandoah. For a Monday morning, it was empty.. and the food is more a country vibe breakfast with seafood plates.. whatever happened to simple breakfast? I was going to get Eggs Benedict, but it's all about the hollandaise sauce, and hers.. it's terrible.. it's literally 3 ingredients... so I got a sunrise scrambler instead... also tried carrot cake pancakes and a "mocha" hot coffee- that tasted like hot chocolate.... The menu is all over the place and being from California.. the California Benedict.. I would never put anything on them as described especially the hollandaise sauce.. must be a small city in California, because it's all about veggies, avocado and Canadian bacon( lobster would be a Sunday brunch item) Pros Wide open Some good breakfast options The App- join waiting list The omelette was fluffy and full of items Our server was polite and prompt Cons A wide variety of breakfast options The classic eggs Benedict, isn't classic- Texas puts a twist on the word classic Shrimp Benedict?? What the...? California Benedict?? Another WTF... not even close to it The hot mocha is a powder, not a syrup.. tasted like coffee with hot chocolate.. the cheap way of maki g a mocha The carrot cake pancakes- I wasn't a diabetic going in, but coming out- I may just be now.. too strong of sugar, no pancake taste.. it was like cake batter made into a pancake.. Thai place always seems to have a huge line and wait but after getting to eat there, it makes sense! The servers are all very nice, the coffee is amazing, and the food hits all the right spots. It definitely feels like a diner in all the good ways and it's kid friendly. I haven't had anything I didn't like. Highly recommend the beignets (interesting rendition made with biscuits), and the grits. I never had grits until I moved to Texas but I'm loving them now! Need a good breakfast spot, this is it. read more

The ambience and our server (Katie) was extremely friendly. She seemed to know around the menu and was chatty to us (which we liked!). The food was...not as satisfying as it was during our prior experiences here. We got the peach cobbler pancakes; and, the "house made pancakes" did not taste homemade. And the peaches tasted and looked as if they were canned, with gooey residue. The granola was good though! And our server gave us an extra serving of granola to take to-go. The seasonal egg Benedict with Turkey and cranberries on a bed of stuffing was quite... overwhelming. The stuffing certainly did not look like stuffing! Their seasonal coffee brew was OUTSTANDING though. I could definitely taste the note flavors of caramel and citrus. read more

This place I would recommend over and over. First time there the server asked? Yes. Then I will bring you out beignets for free. We never saw them! But I had your typical breakfast ( see pic) and it was good. Hubby had the lobster Brie omelette and said it was the most delicious food. He talked about it for days. Food good, service good. First time going out to eat breakfast since March and I really enjoyed it. You can't go wrong with the pancakes. My husband and I shared the peach cobbler pancakes and there were delicious. The pancakes were mix with nuts and raisins topped with whipped cream and peaches. I ordered "Huevos Rancheros" but they were not that great. To me the dish tasted bland and the chips were too toasted (crispy). I wouldn't recommend the "Huevos Rancheros" but you must try the pancakes they are my favorite. To drink we had black coffee (I love their mugs) and orange juice. The staff was really nice and helpful! read more

We've attempted to come here a few times in the past but have always come after 9 on a weekend when there is usually a long wait. This past weekend we somehow woke up super early and decided to try again. We got there at 8am when there was no wait. Was very happy we did. Had an excellent breakfast with the family here. The cocktails, food and service were all great. We started off with blueberry margaritas which were super tasty. As an app we got the biscuit beignets, which were a little weird at first but grew on me. I think it's just because I'm so used to beignets being light and airy, these however are biscuits flavored like beignets. For entrees i got the Hash Brown Benedict with pancakes and my gf got the lobster and Brie omelette. We both thoroughly enjoyed our food. If we're ever up before 9am we will definitely be back! read more

I don't usually rate 5 stars, but when I do it is an absolutely amazing experience. First time ever coming here, it is packed and we have to wait, surprisingly they say even though the restaurant is packed, that we only have to wait 10 minutes. "Okay, no problem". ... 5 Minutes into waiting, they tell us our table is ready. "Okay, wow that's nice" Immediately we get to our seat and are immediately taken care of. The drinks came out exceptionally fast, the food came out shortly after, and the waitress always came to check on us when she had the chance with the best attitude. Usually I am pretty skeptical about brunch places, but let me tell you that the food almost knocked me off my seat by how good it was. My date and I could not put our forks down and left with an empty plate for both of us, which is a rare occurrence. The drink that I ordered, the strawberry st. germain* mimosa was surprisingly strong, insanely tasteful, and low in price! I am typically not one to rave about places, but this was a very pleasant and happy experience. Everything was absolutely amazing, except the scrambled eggs, I mean they're scrambled eggs. This is definitely one of our new favorite spots and we will be coming back for more! read more

This is the place to go for a good breakfast. They have several locations in Houston. This is my first time at this location. This was the closest location to the airport and I had an early flight on this particular morning. The location is in a strip mall and it was tough finding it. I drove around the area for about 4 minutes and had to ask locals, but once I found it all was well in the world. I always order the City grits they are amazing. They make the best. I just change the clothes protein based on the specials. Sometimes I get shrimp and sometimes lobster. I didn't see lobster this time, but I understood due to shortages. I thought about the crab cake. But I just went with what I knew was great. I live in maryland so you don't play when it comes to crab cakes. The shrimp was excellent. The coffee was strong and the only problem was the portion. I get this a few times a year as I travel to Houston every other month and the portion seemed smaller. It's cool! It won't stop me from returning next month when I am in Houston. read more

Easy parking, great service, especially at the bar. Great coffee. First time here, so they comped us a half order of biscuit beignets. So that was cool. Not bad, though I think I prefer the classic style more. You would like these if you prefer cake doughnuts over the traditional doughnut because it's got a similar density. Ordered the southwestern scramble and the strawberry waffle. It was good but not a wow good. More like satisfying and good bit not the tell all your friends about good. The service and coffee won is over though so we'd probably be back. read more

Fun spot for breakfast. Surprisingly no wait, interesting menu items. Definitely worth a calorie splurge for on e in a while. The fig pancakes were...too much. I loved the creativity though! Everything we had was excellent, even the coffee. Rare for breakfast spots like this I've found. I thought it a touch pricey though, and overall pretty unhealthy. read more

The food was great! I loved that it did not take long to get considering they were packed. The waitress was very attentive. She kept checking up on us throughout and after we paid. We stayed for about 30 mins after we paid and we're not kicked out. That was amazing! I've been to places where they request the table shortly after we paid since they are full. That was not the case here and I truly appreciate it! We were having brunch for my husbands bday today and it was no kids today so it was nice to catch up without being rushed. We even decided to order another pitcher of mimosas when the waitress checked in on us again. It was nice and will definitely be coming back! The environment was very relaxed and a little loud but that's because people were mingling! The restroom was clean and that was great. read more

The food here is great, as is the service. Francesca is just the greatest. We used to go to Toasted Yolk, but got tired of freezing to death every time we'd go, plus TY's portions are just way too huge. Broken Egg is great! You don't freeze to death, you don't feel like you have to run 12 miles after breakfast. The portions are just right, and you still can take leftovers. Benedict's are PERFECT! And real. No silly mold. We love it. read more

This place is absolutely incredible!!!! Every time I come, I ask to sit in the bar with hopes that Katy is working!!! She is such an asset to this establishment!! She is personable, remembers her regulars, asks about their life and children. She just blows my mind every time! Everything I order here is hot, fresh, and delicious!!! I love the eggs Benedict, fried green tomatoes, and the shrimp and city grits! You have to say CITY GRITS! They are so creamy and delicious!! Oh my goodness!! I also have to give props to the manager that is always here when I come! He is so tedious and always checking on the customers! I met a friend as we have several times. This time the waitress was just bothersome. When I arrived, my friend was already seated, so I made my way to the table. The waitress came over, interrupted our conversation to ask what I wanted to drink. After an astonished look I ordered coffee, which she brought right away. Then she interrupted me again to ask if we wanted to chat a while or order breakfast. Again, I tried to be polite & explained that we needed some time. SEVEN minutes later she returned & AGAIN ignored the fact that we were engaged in conversation, began speaking over me to ask if we were ready to order yet. My friend was embarrassed & quickly ordered her usual. I declined & the waitress frowned, but told me to let her know when I was ready to order. Another waitress brought my friends food w/o interrupting us, but timed it so that she could ask if it looks right & if we needed anything else. I wish she was our waitress. I wanted to order but was told that our waitress would return to take my order. When she returned I ordered a Belgian waffle. After 30 minutes, It was delivered to my table so cold it wouldn't melt butter. Our waitress explained that the butter was refrigerated so it wasn't supposed to melt on the waffle. I just stared at her. My friend literally laughed outloud at the ridiculousness of her explanation. Another waffle came 10 minutes later. Again cold, but melted butter was brought in a bowl too hot to touch so I made it work. But I can make cold waffles at home. I have never had bad service or cold food from this place. I really hope today was just a comedy of errors. But, the manager never checked in w/ our table & the waitress brought the check as soon as she delivered my 2nd waffle. Once we paid, I couldn't get coffee refills or anything. It was my worst experience there. We usually go every other week or so, but the last few times we've just had little random things not be right, waitstaff seem to not care & bring the check w/ the food delivery, & no manager checks in anymore. Not the experience I have come to expect. I won't suggest this place in the future. read more

They play light Latin music in the background. They don't really advertise their syrups if you come in for an iced latte like me, but basically any of their artisanal coffees can be made iced or cold and you can choose from any of those ingredients/syrups in those choices to flavor your own custom latte. I also added a slice of banana bread from the pastry case adjacent to the register. The alchemist - a pretty light tasting latte with obvious notes of cinnamon. I liked it. Banana bread - more like a triple slice of bread. Its gluten free and very dense. A little on the dry side, obviously. Overall, I can see why they're highly rated. A must visit if you want to try some of the best coffee woodlands has to offer.

I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Blue is a strong color they have used effectively, there is a large dinging room for a big group just off the main dining room and a bar at the far west end. We ordered some appetizers and they came out quickly, We had a small order (4 pieces) of the Fried Hallumi Cheese and also Kebbeh. Both came with a small sampling of cucumber, tomato and red onion which paired well. The Kebbeh had the most fragrant seasoning, I believe a mix of cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and clove. The serving sizes were ample and after trying some we both agreed to save room for the entrees we ordered, my wife had the Gyro Sandwich and I had the Chicken Shawerma, both were wrapped in a super fresh pita that had to be house made. My wife had the regular fries and I had sweet potato which were cooked perfectly, so light and crisp. We couldn't resist ordering some baklava to go, my wife thought walnut sounded good but our server said he felt the cashew was the best so we ordered that. When he brought it out, he said that there were 2 pieces of the cashew but he also added one of walnut at no charge, what a treat. We will be coming back here, the restaurant overall was super fresh and clean, service was great and the food was fantastic.

The rice here is enjoyable but I feel like is playing it a little safe. They could step up the Latin flavor in the rice. Great side plantains tho. The carne flameada was also very enjoyable and not too spicy so I wouldn't be too worried about it if spicy is not really your thing. Good drinks.

In summary, I was not really impressed with my meal, but this is a super casual place and the prices are right. I started off with their house small frozen margarita. If you just need a basic one, this will do. It's nothing fancy. For comparison, their fresh margaritas start at $12 currently. Their salsa is served at room temp and you receive both a green and a red one. The red one was my fav. It was also the spicier of the two. I ordered their beef fajitas for one which is only $20. Let's see how it compared to my favorite in town which is much more expensive. Beef fajitas- these are your basic beef fajitas with store-bought tortillas. The sizzling skillet comes with 2 types of grilled onions, tomato, and grilled bell pepper slices. The beef is tender, I'll give them that, but the quality is low. You receive a lot of Pico de Gallo, not much guacamole, and an avg amount of rice and beans. The grilled onions were not grilled very long at all. I noticed a couple of the slices of beef were not cut against the grain, so they were a bit more chewy. Overall, service was average. They never asked me if I wanted a 2nd margarita until after I sat around for 10 mins and then even asked for the check. By then, its way too late to ask a customer if they want a 2nd drink, I guess that's how low key they are. At the end of the meal my glass of water was nearly empty too, but no server was to be found at the bar. In fact, they didn't really even man the bar most of the time with the 4 customers sitting there, including me.

Excited to explore their menu, I opted for the Pecan cold brew, which was delightfully delicious. However, my experience took a disappointing turn when I ordered the Chicken and Waffles. Despite its simplicity, the dish fell short of expectations. The chicken was disappointingly bland, and even the honey sauce couldn't salvage it. It felt like they merely slapped chicken strips onto the waffle, lacking the flavorful touch I had hoped for. I'm accustomed to enjoying seasoned chicken atop fluffy waffles, but sadly, this rendition missed the mark entirely. While my initial experience left much to be desired, I'm willing to give this place another chance in hopes of redemption. I had a wonderful experience at Another Broken Egg in The Woodlands! My cousin and I arrived around 1:00 PM and were seated immediately--seems we beat the rush. Our server, Abby, was fantastic. She was so friendly and witty, really making our visit special with her great service and positive attitude. As for the food, the beignets were amazing--perfectly sweet and easily my favorite. The Mardi Gras omelette was also great, with the andouille sausage adding a nice kick. The only downside was the potatoes, which were a bit dry, but it might've just been an older batch. My cousin loved the Cabaret French 75, and the mocktail menu had plenty of tasty options for non-drinkers like me. The atmosphere was cozy and family-friendly, making it a perfect spot to relax. My family and I went here on a Saturday morning to get a nice breakfast. This place exceeded expectations! We were quickly seated to a nice table and the waitress was quick to come take our drink orders. The restaurant is massive with many smaller rooms and a very nice patio for those few nice days we have in Houston. Everyone's food was warm and delicious! We didn't have to wait long for our food and the waitress made sure we had everything we needed before leaving the table. The portions are quite large and reasonably priced. Our first time here. We arrived at 11:30 and was seated right away. The staff was very friendly and paid special attention to ensuring my children were enjoying themselves. The potatoes and waffles here are amazing! Our family did have the beignets, they were ok, but only because I've had high expectations of beignets since visiting cafe du monde in New Orleans. We stopped for breakfast on a Sunday after church and it was a very busy time. But the service was exceptional. I think our waitress was Michelle and she did a great job. We love the food; the atmosphere, and the coffee cups. My one disappointment in the past is that many times the patio is closed. Good news was our welcoming waitress named Candyce who was very friendly, answered questions and made suggestions. Mr. Picky has a sweet tooth and wanted to order just pancakes, but I bullied him into ordering one of their FIT omelettes (shrimp and avocado) and then they very kindly substituted two pancakes for the side of fruit. I was eyeballing the Reuben on the menu and when I asked the waitress to name her favorites, that was one of them and so I went ahead and ordered it with fried zucchini and onion rings. The latter two fried things we both liked, the Reuben was just average, but the omelette was loaded with mushrooms and onions which helped make it taste good (the kitchen did a good job on that omelette to put lots of stuff on it and send it to the table looking substantial and tasty). As they close at 3 PM, they don't have desserts at this particular location, and so we shared the Strawberry cheesecake pancakes to finish the meal. Overall, this is not a "4.7" level restaurant but that was on only 12 reviews. I might stop in again if I was running down Kuykendahl and needed a quick bite, but the good news was the price. We got all that food for $39.20 plus tip, a really great deal, and our waitress was great!
