I have returned to Eggs Up Grill at 3 times since my initial visit back in November. When I went back a few months ago, they had a $9.99 lunch special that included a double meat cheeseburger with fries. The burger was out of this world! It was perfect. Sorry I forget to take it's picture. Next trip, it was not available at that price :( so I ordered 1/2 sandwich and 1/2 salad from the lunch menu. Probably a healthier choice. Both items were good and the veggies were all fresh. Server was OK, not as good as others. I guess his shift ended because we didn't see him again and another server took over. When I returned a few days ago for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla. It was really good. I could only eat 1/2 of it. It took up the entire plate. My friend ordered eggs with toast, grits and bacon. She said her meal was very good. Our server on my most recent trip was excellent. I think she might have been the manager. I can't wait to go back. Even it the burger is not on the lunch menu, I will probably splurge and get it again. read more

I hate to have to write a bad review, but if I can save someone the $50 we just wasted then it's what I have to do. We drove by this restaurant last weekend and thought it looked good to come back and try later. It is so cutie inside! I love their merch stand and the way the place is decorated. Wyatt, the host, was so friendly. Honestly, everyone working there is great. They're all friendly. That's why it's deserving of 2 stars instead of 1. There's nothing at all that I would change about the experience provided by the Eggs Up Grill staff. I'm so disappointed to say that the food is just not good. First, my husband and I both ordered iced vanilla lattes. They tasted like sweet water. There wasn't the slightest hint of a coffee taste to them. Then, my husband ordered the steak and eggs. It was on a really great special that we noticed advertised by the door when we walked in, so we were very excited to try it. When we sat down, I noticed the customer next to us had half of their steak left and was telling their dining partner that it was so tough they couldn't eat it. That probably should have been a sign not to order it, but we risked it anyway. My husband fully agreed with the other diners' experience. He ordered his steak medium but when he received it, it appeared to be extremely close to well done. His was also so tough that he couldn't finish it. I ordered the chimichurri steak and eggs off the summer menu special. While I do think mine was better than his, I was still disappointed in it overall. It was pretty bland, and the chimichurri was surprisingly spicy. I thought the potatoes it came with a side were very mushy and way over seasoned. (The seasoning was good, just needed a lot less of it.) We ordered the griddled blueberry muffin to share and that was good, just a little too doughy for my personal liking. I can't count that against them though because some people like their muffins that way. We ended up leaving half of our meals on our plate and I can honestly say that's something that's never happened to us with breakfast before. I've seen other people say they love the food so I'm willing to accept that we maybe just ordered the wrong thing. However, I'm not willing to try again knowing our experience and the similar one from the table next to us. The menu was amazing! I wanted one of everything. Ordered the classic Benny and it was spot on. The eggs were poached to perfection and the Hollandaise was rich and creamy. Saw an ad for Eggs Up Grill and gave them a try. Eggs Up Grill was a new, nice little restaurant here in Conroe. Hannah was our server and was extremely friendly and helpful. We ordered some coffee with Kahula and checked out the menu. My wife wanted the Texas Farmhouse Omlett and I went with the Founders Hash and eggs. Both meals were delicious and well worth having again. Eggs Up Grill was a bright, upbeat style restaurant that also looks like a majority of the employees are also female as I don't recall seeing any men working there. This experience was extremely disappointing and felt racially motivated we only got our food once everyone else had theirs and there was no one else to serve even though we got there before 5 other groups of people. First time visit, I went with the Three Little Deuces (Two buttermilk pancakes topped with powdered sugar and served with two eggs and bacon or sausage) because I HAD to try the pancakes. I was not disappointed - they were fluffy and delicious. As were the perfectly scrambled eggs. Bacon was flavorful and delish, crispy just as I like it. Everyone with me enjoyed their food. Several items stood out, but the Brunch Burger (double steak burger with American cheese, caramelized diced onions, crispy bacon, and egg) was a smash hit. Everything looked so good, I will be returning very soon to try some of the other unique dishes; such as, the Carb-Ocado Scrambler, Greek Scrambler, Waffle sandwich, or maybe that Brunch Burger. The place is bright and upbeat. Everyone was friendly, service was great. Recommend to anyone in the area, and for those of you that aren't, it's worth the drive. TIP: I highly suggest starting your meal with one of the "Sweet Treats", either the Croissant-Style Donuts or Griddled Blueberry Muffins (a large muffin filled with blueberries, sliced in half and grilled to a golden-brown perfection). Mini fridge door under espresso machine is filthy. Syrup storage next to it not much better. Dust under coffee brewer. Shocked to see juicer being cleaned above clean serving glasses during open hours. Bucket of cleaning solution should be elsewhere than under serving dishes. Coffee mug holding trays splattered with coffee. One of the heat lamp bulbs is out. Never saw anyone wash their hands while I was here. We visited this location on Sunday morning. My husband ordered coffee, shrimp and grits with a side of hash, while I ordered the crème brûlée French toast with a side of grits. Unfortunately, I had to lower my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars because customer service and order accuracy are everything to me. Our waitress mistakenly brought me cinnamon swirl French toast instead of the crème brûlée I ordered. When I asked about it, she laughed and admitted she had mixed them up, then returned with a small container of caramel and two small containers of vanilla crème--both cold, just like the French toast. Because the toppings wouldn't spread properly, the french toast wasn't enjoyable, so I can't give a fair review of the crème brûlée French toast. On a positive note, my grits were seasoned, creamy, and delicious, and my husband's shrimp and grits were also excellent. First time visiting Eggs Up Grill and everyone was warm & welcoming as soon as we (my toddler) walked through the door. We usually frequent First Watch but wanted to give Eggs Up a shot! I ordered my kid hot chocolate and coffee for myself (dark roast). The hot chocolate was okay and the coffee wasn't very strong, in my opinion. The food was GREAT except the French toast I initially ordered. It wasn't very fluffy but more on the hard side so I asked if I could replace it with a pancake which came out soft, hot and fluffy. Now on to that Crabocado! Definitely will order again and also bring my mom to try! The crab cake was meaty and the eggs were fluffy. I'm not sure about the hollandaise though. We've been coming here since opening. The food Is hit and miss sometimes. However on Sunday the food was spot on! But I'd also like to send a big kudos to Kim at the front. We were eating and I noticed an elderly couple parked in the handicap spot. The gentleman was struggling to get his wife's walker to lock so she could use it. Kim also noticed and ran outside to help. She got the walker set up for the wife so they could make their way in. In the meantime, she came back to the restaurant and directed staff to prepare a table close to the door so the elderly couple would not have to walk so far. I ordered the sides of biscuit and gravy and cheddar bacon grits. The B&G was lukewarm, it wasn't horrible but didn't have a lot of flavor. The grits were ok. I thought they would have the flavor of cheddar bacon as opposed to cheddar cheese and bacon sprinkled on top. Not a big deal. My husband had the pancakes, eggs, and bacon and enjoyed them. My favorite egg dish is eggs Benedict. I ordered the Big Tex Benny. It was just okay. The hollandaise sauce was lumpy and broken. The chicken fried steak looked and tasted like it was a pre breaded frozen cutlet. One of the eggs was cooked properly but the other one was over done. I also had grits which tasted okay but were lumpy and cold. My spouse had the brunch burger. They said it was like a fast food burger with an egg on top for double the price. I hate to write a negative review but I was disappointed with the food. I ordered an omelette where I was able to choose the fixings. First the eggs were served as thin as a crepe with the mushrooms, feta cheese and sausage rolled inside. This was just not what I was expecting to receive as an omelette. I'm used to the ingredients cooked into the eggs. If you like crepes you might enjoy the omelette at this restaurant. The people are always friendly and helpful and the service has been great, so we've eaten here numerous times. The food is always delicious and cooked perfectly (over easy eggs). The last time we were there, my food was cold to slightly warm. It was our server's 2nd day and was rushing around waiting on customers, so being new, we let the temp of our food slide. Today my husband and I visited again. We arrived at 11:47AM and there were about 4 tables with customers. We had our drinks soon after we sat down, then the server took our orders. We waited...the 3 people seated behind us whose orders were taken just before ours, received their food. We waited....a lady seated next to our table who arrived 15 minutes after us received her food. We were in the booth closest to the kitchen pass-through window, so I could see the prepared plates sitting on the shelf. There were plates placed on the shelf that looked like what we had ordered. We waited. Now it was 12:17PM. More plates were put on the shelf and carried to other tables. Ours sat there. We couldn't get our server's attention, but finally another server brought us the 2 plates that I assumed were ours. When she sat them in front of us, I touched the egg on my plate and it was cold. I explained how I had been watching those plates sitting on the shelf for over 15 minutes and asked her to take them back. She returned shortly after to tell us the manager was cooking fresh food for us and would come talk to us. She never talked to us, but the next food that was brought to us was the previous food warmed up. My beautiful over easy eggs were over cooked hard yolks. The rest of the food looked horrible as if it was scraped off and just tossed back on the plate. Also, we had been there 45 minutes and NEVER got a refill on my coffee until it was time to bring the check. They 'honored' us with a 10% discount! If we hadn't waited so long and weren't so hungry, we should have left the slop on the plates uneaten, left cash for our drinks, and left. Yes, this was one bad time out of approximately 10 visits, but treating a customer like this is bad advertisement. BTW, the 'manager' was working in the kitchen this whole time.....she put OUR plates on the shelf and saw our food still sitting there every time she placed other plates beside it. read more

Our first visit was good the servers are nice. The good though. Not good. Last week a cook with long dreadlocks was working with his hair swing around like a yo yo. Ever heard of a hair net? We had never been to Conroe & people that we spoke to said there was nothing there but we enjoyed it and found plenty. Our air bnb was very nice. ( made it sound like a 1 light town ) We were in town for our granddaughters softball tournament & we always try and eat at a place we don't have back home. The menue has so many options. I had waffles and my husband had pancakes. Nothing special but we knew we ordered basic things. We had a long drive and didn't want anything to heavy. Everything looked good and nobody was leaving anything on their plates. Very family oriented but the staff was AWESOME from the host to the waitress. Very busy but our waitress was very attentive to not just us but to all her tables and she had a couple of large parties. The food was very fresh and it has the farm to table feel. They did run out of bananas because my husband ordered on top of pancakes. We were not upset because that tells me everything is fresh! So the staff and atmosphere did it for me. So next time we are there we will try our first day do we can eat whatever we want! We loved this town and didn't help that our granddaughter's team came in 1st! read more

Some of the staff was disrespectful. Started sweeping and banging chairs around as I was eating. I asked if she could please wait until we are done eating before sweeping around be. The employee disregarded me and continued to sweep all around me. I had to call the manager who was nice but too late. This was my second bad experience with the service. Last time never had a follow up for a coffee refill and I had to ask the manager for my bill. I don't understand how you burn and over cook pancakes and " home fries " but undercook my turkey bacon that were so flabby they could fly. Disgusting. Home fries were stale , hard to chew , cold and bland. Now the Pancakes.... i had to ask for syrup and butter instead of it coming with it because that's kinda common sense you would think.. unless people just like a dry, flavorful-less , stale pancake that falls apart when you put a fork in it . First time here. Open floor concept is nice and bright, staff pretty friendly, store is very clean. Food tasted great (I ordered the southern staples - eggs, sausage patty and biscuit and sausage gravy). I would say this particular dish is over-priced but I did forego the grits or hashbrown that came with it (watching carbs). The biscuit was a disappointment bc when I see buttermilk biscuit on the menu I think of a tall 11/2-2" buttermilk biscuit. I was told that they cut their biscuits in half and grill them, which explains the thin English muffin look to the biscuit, which needs a bit more sausage gravy. I will come here again, just to explore the menu bc it reminds me of a great place my sister took me last time I visited her up north. read more
