This is an 'ole faithful' eatery. We've been here multiple times and tried different items in the menu. So far, we don't have any complaints. Walking in the front doors, you're greeted by a large fish tank and the hostess podium. The ambiance is nice with soft modern music, a full bar to the left side of the restaurant Carter was our waiter and brought us The buttery croissants to start the adventure. We ordered the ribs and chicken tenders and the shrimp platter. The side salad was large enough for 2 and was fresh. The shrimp were hot and crispy. The ribs were smothered in a light BBQ sauce. We ordered the chocolate cake sundae and it was large and delicious. We had to take it home with us since we could not finish it all. The only negative (kinda hard to say it out loud) was the AC was working over time and the ceiling fans made it a little cold for us. It wasn't enough to keep us from coming back. We will be back!!!!

First time to a Cheddars. Casual dining similar to many other chains. As soon as we sat down a waiter brought menus and two warm croissants drizzled with honey butter. I was only planning on a taste but devoured it instead. It was particularly good with their better than average coffee. I ordered the beer battered shrimp which came with two sides. The side salad was meh but the red beans and rice were really good with chunks of ham and sausage obviously house made, the shrimp entree was a generous portion of crispy lightly battered fried shrimp that was cooked perfectly. My companion had chicken tenders which were again crispy and perfectly cooked. The French fries on the side were cold and dry but she enjoyed her coleslaw. Service was good.

Cheddar's Tasty Cake! We visited here for Sunday lunch recently at around 11:20 am. The restaurant was very busy, but we were still seated immediately. Our server was very friendly, prompt, and attentive. As usual, the honey-butter croissants were fantastics. We split the lemon pepper chicken entree. And, we finished off the meal with a shared dessert - the chocolate fudge cake with ice cream. It was delicious!

Honey butter croissants welcome were WHOA. Fantastic surprise. Warm, delicious. Caesar salads were brought promptly. All these were eaten so fast after a day of driving, so no photos (sorry). Entrees: Texas Roadhouse level ribs, falling off the bone, but for a fraction of the price (plus a huge baked potato and delicious breaded, juicy chicken tenders). New Orleans pasta was surprisingly flavorful, just a smidge spicy, but enough to still enjoy. Dessert: warm cookie with ice cream. Simple but nice end to the night. Service was great. Friendly and attentive, but not overpowering. Food came out at lighting speed, and hot. Great experience!

First time at Cheddars in probably 20 years. Very friendly and clean restaurant. Andrew, our server was great! The honey croissants were AMAZING! Wow!! I had the veggie plate, and the red beans and rice were very good!! Hubs had the chicken fried chicken also very good. We I'll be back!!

I had the chicken pot pie, AWFUL, so salty, I could not eat it. On a good note, I love the croissants.

Whew, what a wonderful lunch I had here. On my continues search of good eats near my home, I came…read moreacross this place on Yelp and was met with delight when we walked in. I had never been to the previous address, but the interior design was so lovely we chose to sit at the new bar. Kady, the bartender (forgive me if I spelled it wrong) was such a doll the whole time waiting us. She kept the chips (touch of louisiana we enjoyed) next to her for refills and made the most twisted hurricane I've had. Definitely walked out clinging to my man lol. We tried the crawfish dip which came with two types of bread, though both went amazing with it. I ordered the lobster ravioli with a side of hush puppies and my old guy ordered the lamb chops, well done, with gumbo (we don't eat pork) and stuffed shrimp. Everything was so damn great tasting. I mean, damned good tasting. My only flaw was the roux could've been a little thinner, but that is absolutely it. Fabulous timeeee and I'm so recommending.

So they've moved. From Market Street to the space Next to one of my favorite cafes (PB)…read more Parking lot not full on an Easter Weekend. Despite a pretty empty restaurant we were told that only the bar and outside were available. And unlike many other places, they said this bar only allows 21 and older to dine in the bar area, which means only the outside for us. This being a cold (because of the wind) and cloudy morning. Sigh. Asked for a kids menu and was told it's only for 12 and under. Got the evil eye from the hostess when I said my kid qualifies. Then I offered to show them her ID and they backed off with smiles even. The complementary potato chips kind of tasted like Chips Oman. At least they weren't stale and it's a nice addition while you wait. The kiddo got the kids catfish which was just a pretty small piece of fish. Fries were good. Side fruit consisted of strawberries pineapple and red grapes. No drink included. Had to chase down the staff to get some tartar sauce. I wanted a Po Boy but was told they don't offer it on the weekends. Asked about beignets and was told it's only for dessert. Sigh. Decided to get the pork ribeye fricassee. The flavor was good but boy was it salty. Almost like they dropped a whole shaker of salt on it. Good thing there was some rice to counter the effect. Otherwise it would be inedible. So after our meal we had access to the desert menu and got a half order of beignets (4 pieces). They were ok. The dough on these is pretty thick though. Not sure if that's standard but I'd prefer light and fluffy. Soft opening was just the day before. So I think they're trying to find their stride. Water girl was on it though so kudos to her. Waiter was meh. Had to go in and fetch him a few times as they don't come outside much, especially when you're the only one out there. The bar area is small but the bartenders are nice. They have a sectioned off room in the back which might be good for a larger group. Place is kinda small overall though.

The $20 ribeye special (12 oz with a side) is a standout deal that's honestly hard to beat. We sat inside near the bar, and the atmosphere struck a great balance--casual, a little lively, but still comfortable enough to enjoy a conversation without feeling crowded or rushed. I order my steak well done, which can be tricky, but they handled it the right way. The first one came out slightly under, and our server Madi addressed it immediately with no hesitation. What really stood out was her approach--professional, attentive, and genuinely thoughtful. She even brought out a fresh serving of cilantro rice while I waited, which made a big difference. The second steak came out exactly right--flame-grilled, tender, and flavorful. The cilantro rice was fresh and well-seasoned, the fries were crispy, and the drinks were well balanced. We ended up staying after our meal just to relax, which says a lot about the overall experience. Great service, great value, and a place we'll definitely return to. Ask for Madi if you go--she made the experience seamless.

Our server was so nice, told us all about the building and some events they had coming up to check out. I had the chicken caeser salad but as a wrap, by far the best one Ive ever had. My husband had the steak salad; he also loved it. The homemade dressings were so good! Will for sure be back!

I won a raffle at my kid's school for a gift card to this place. We went late Sunday morning right…read morewhen they opened. Inside was pretty full already. Weather was good so opted to eat on their empty patio. I was told that the Carolina shrimp and grits were out of this world. So i got that. Saw their chicken fried steak was American wagyu and won some award. So my kid got that. For the 2 Sides that come with the steak my kid chose mashed potatoes and gravy and regular mac and cheese. Yawn. Sooo Boring. They actually have a bacon and jalepeno version of the Mac and cheese that sounded pretty tasty but my kid just can't handle spice sadly. Reminds me of those peeps ordering vanilla ice cream at Baskin Robbin's 31 flavors when I worked there. I mean, 31 flavors. Ya can't even do French vanilla? Sheesh. The batter on the steak separated from the meat quite easily which made it a bit difficult to eat. But who cares when it tastes that good. Size was impressive - like the size of my face. Loved the white gravy that comes with it. And I gotta admit the ordinary Mac and Cheese was pretty darn cheesy. Now the raffle winner announcer had mentioned this place has awesome shrimp and grits. I had read mixed reviews about the shrimp and grits. And on top of that I'm not much of a grits guy. But I had to try it, just for ya'll, cuz that's what us AllStars do. I gotta agree with many of the online reviewers that the taste of the grits in of themselves is kinda bland as has been my experience with every grits dish I've ever had. Which is why I don't like grits in the first place. And ya know what, there's a whole lot of grits on this plate. Like a big ol' mound of it. Like the Close Encounters mashed potatoes scene. So big in fact that they don't even bother giving you any sides with this and only this particular entree. Texture kinda reminded me of my kid's mashed potatoes. But I did like the other parts of the dish like the shrimp and sausage and even the sauce. So you just really gotta plan each spoonful of this dish, to make sure you get at least some of the topping or sauce with each and every bite of grits. Otherwise the blandness of the grits can overwhelm. For desert we got the banana pudding. My kid is in this banana phase right now. It's like bringing a Minion around with me wherever I eat. Like grits, I've never been a huge banana fan. But I gotta say, this dessert was pretty tasty. And it came in a small tub which impressed. Staff and ambience were wonderful. And they're selling gift cards right now like most restaurants. Would definitely come back someday even without a gift card.

We were told by the friendly hostess that the wait for a table would be about 30-40 minutes. So I sat and waited for the rest of my party to arrive. The wait only ended up being 15 minutes (good thing I didn't leave) My table was close to the front entrance and a huge party (that should have just reserved a private room if you ask me) I felt like I was a wedding crasher. The waiters were busy trying to accommodate everyone by moving tables around and I had strangers standing all around me waiting for their table to be set. So that wasn't enjoyable for me. I ordered an appetizer some wine and our entrees all came out delicious and our waiter was sweet but I won't be rushing back on a busy Saturday night!
