The atmosphere to this place is very cool but as far as service outside , as in waiters ,waitresses and bartenders, they really need to improve. The food was decent, but trying to get a server and keep one was very challenging. At one point, we seen all the waitresses walking around the cement walkway together far away from customers.... Just hanging out. Not only were we irritated, but I could see that others were as well. My husband had to go to the bar and get a beer since we couldn't find our waitress. The bartender ignored him and continued her story to another employee while my husband stood there. She finished her story and then took his order. This was on a Sunday around 2 PM so it wasn't extremely busy. The service was very disappointing and we won't be back. The two star rating is because the food was decent. read more

This place is huge and it has lots of space inside and outside, entertainment and big screens outside, but they literally take forever service wise and they kick you and the kiddos out super early. We came here to watch a game that of course, no else cared about inside so we opted to sit outside because we were also with my kids. Took them forever to put it on and hook up the sound. After awhile more people started joining in and watching with us but it's hot in TX and there's no fans out there, plus the food comes out and the flies just swarm you. It took a guy to come help us out on a makeshift fly repellant to make our experience a little better. Server was not attentive at all and was worried about other things I guess. This place is extremely unique with a very large open bar area and a HUGE patio/backyard area with umbrella's, TV, and tons of seating an absolutely great place to go watch games. Kick back with friends, bring your dogs and have a few brews. The service was pretty average, nothing bad enough to complain about and all of us rated our food about a 2.5-3 stars. We visited the The Icehouse several times over the last month with the same group of people and the experience did not vary too much. First off, the atmosphere starts out as really nice. Tables inside and out, trees and greenery, big screen tv's to watch the game on, cornhole boards and dart machines to play on. Then the Icehouse tends to turn up the music to extremely loud levels, which I don't mind if I am at a concert but this makes it very difficult to communicate with the servers and with the others in your party. The service is very, very spotty. More often than not, it is pretty poor at best. They forget drink orders, forget peoples meals, get orders wrong but will be happy to charge you and extra 20% for groups of six or more people. One bright spot is a server named Hannah who definitely knows what she is doing. Their drink options are ok. No craft beer which is something our group really likes, the mixed drinks are a bit week and over priced as compared to other places. But some of their food was indeed really, really good. The burgers for example were delicious, but the sliders were very bland and tasteless and the Philly Wrap was some of the best I have had. During the day, Conroe Icehouse is pretty tame as well as the weekday evening but come weekend nights it does become even louder and the people who visit are not always the ones you may be wanting to hang out with making the whole atmosphere very questionable. read more

We were in town for our granddaughter's softball tournament & we wanted a place where the whole team and our families could be accommodated. Also we could order on our own as well as take the mascot dog! 1st we loved this town, we had never been & people made it sound like it was a one-light town but far from it. The restaurant is very big outside and shaded very well. Lots of picnic tables out there. There were a lot of people but did not feel crowded at all. The girls had a blast. You sit inside or out. Large screens and an area for music. Staff said they have music in the evenings. The menu is large and has something for everyone. I had a pizza, my husband had wings, and my daughter's family had the crawfish and shrimp boil. One of the parents had the steak and they let me try it. It was amazing. Everything was fantastic and everyone loved their food ( not one complaint) We had 12 girls and each of their families. So a lot of people. Service was great, waitresses for very efficient & nice as well as bus service. I was VERY impressed with the speed of the food. The only downfall was they did not give refills on tea or sodas. Also they did double and triple charge many of the families. ( but it was corrected quickly ) It was a little pricey & it's the alcohol. For my husband and I, our bill was $75 (personal pizza, wings, a ranchwater, beer& 1 tea.) So all in all we enjoyed it very much & it will be our go-to spot when we play out this way. Date night flop due to the service. Asked about the happy hour and none of the bar staff had a clue. One said 1.50 off another said 1.75 and another shrugged her shoulders ‍ The food was okay. The garlic mashed potatoes were very strange. When we asked for our check, we were given just the total receipt. When i asked for the itemized receipt the bartender got annoyed, rolled her eyes and would not make face contact with us. The bar wasn't busy and we won't be back. I went by the Icehouse a couple of weeks ago and the business has potential. There was three of us and the food was good. There wasn't a lot of people inside but service was slow because they were understaffed. We also stopped by the Farmers Market they were having to stop by County Line Coffee trailer and really enjoyed the coffee and service. I hope the farmers market picks up more vendors. read more

Came out for bike night and had a great time! The location has plenty of space and things to offer. The biggest letdown is how expensive this place is. It was pricey enough that we didn't order anything other than fries. My brother in law ordered the Texas Sized mozzarella sticks, which came 4 to an order for $12. There is nothing texas sized but the price here. They are the same size as what you get from Sonic, to be honest. I was really let down. My significant other got a bucket of beers, nothing fancy. I believe they were Miller's and it $30. I would come back for another bike night but I don't see myself just coming to visit for anything else just due to the prices. read more

The crawfish is awesome here! They spice it up and while not being overly spiced. We've been at least 3-4 times this season for them and the crawfish has been consistent in flavor, amount of meat and size, bonus for the mushrooms too! Started at the back bar with a very unwelcoming female bartender. Couldn't care less about the fact that we said it was our first time here . Told us she was working a double with a bit of a snarl. We moved inside . No tables available. Sat at bar . We ordered food . Robb the Bartender was very engaging/ personable. Over qualified. The food was overpriced and disappointing! Food was okay. It took 5 minutes for anyone to even recognize we were seated. No less than 15 minutes to get our waters and asked 2x for some lemons. Our appetizer arrived after our meals. The food was pretty decent. It was rather slow the Sunday evening we went and wanted to enjoy dinner outside on the patio over the lake. Which was nice other than children running around the patio and crying. I was here two months ago. The food is very mid. Only good thing here is the BBQ and crawfish. It's all way too expensive for the quality. Also they need better servers. Most the girls in here have a bad attitude. This could be a great place but management is not doing well enough training their servers. I waited forever for my drink when there were only 4 tables in the whole place. I asked for a water with my drink and the waitress did not bring it and rarely came over, when she finally came back, I asked for the water that she forgot (we were only a 2 top) and she took over 15 minutes to get it... I also asked for ranch with my meal and that never came. Servers should be writing that in the ticket with my meal (I work with toast at a restaurant very similar to this place). The girls look miserable. Management, do better please. This place has potential but y'all are ruining it. read more

Been here before when it was the Shout House, the 7 acre property is very nice as it was before and feel the interior is an over all improvement. The food, was typical bar food. I had the burger which I thought was good. Though I do wish they had a more comprehensive beer selection as it was pretty sparse leaving out major local brews. Despite that one of the cocktails I tried, whiskey, lemonade one, Was good. The service was nice, however it was apparent that there were some growing pains in their systems due to recent launch. This isn't California, and it's certainly not some fancy 5-star steakhouse where valet might make sense. Forcing customers to pay for valet at an establishment like this is absurd. And their excuse? "We're creating jobs." That's a weak justification for tacking on unnecessary fees. There's nothing special here to warrant such a service, and it feels like a money grab.
