Had a great time at the Angry Elephant, went there on a recommendation from my daughter to watch College Football, and we weren't disappointed. They had a few beers on tap, not as many as some other places but routine beers, Michelob Ultra, Blue Moon, Dogfish head, etc... we started with Chips and Queso, plus Chicken Fried Steak Bites, which were both very tasty. My wife and daughter had the Populist Philly Cheesesteak sandwich, which they split and was very good. I had the Hong Kong Phooey Hot Dog, which, I was not sure how I felt about peanut butter on my Hot Dog, but it blew my taste buds! Very Good! The only issue was there was only 1sever while we were there and made it slow to get refills on drinks and order our main dishes. She was very nice but I felt she could have had some help. The bar itself had a good feel and I would recommend to others. We will most likely be back. Next time I hope I can give it a Five Rating!

20% is quite a good veteran discount!

20 percent off for veterans and first responders! This place is a lot of fun! The menu is quite bipartisan, really wild, and a bit rude... there is a cocktail called "the governor" because "it will really get you rolling" (Texas Governor Abbott is in a wheelchair). We went with the Reagan burger (their favorite) which is a random combo of blackened shrimp, avacado and jalapeno on 1/2 pound of angus beef. Service was excellent drinks were excellent-- 6 dollar house wine-- shout out to " yellow rose" brewery local to this bar. Seating is a little weird--very high throne-like benches across from 6 inch lower chairs. Could get super noisy if busy. Worth a visit!

Saw this place and thought it looked really good, said they opened at 11. Went to walk in at 11:07 doors locked. I decided to call because maybe they were busy doing their opening shift duties. No response, went ahead and called 4 times total. Music is on and TVs going. Still no response. Very unfortunate was looking forward to trying this place. Probably won't ever try because they might forget to unlock the doors for the day I am finishing this review at 11:20 and still no response. Yikes. So customer service is in the toilet for being punctual

As always, the food & drinks are really good. I didn't love the Manhattan, but it's just a preference of ingredients. I recommend my favorite vermouth (Cocchi) to the bartender. I also tried their Old Fashioned. I liked that one better! Not criticizing the bartenders, I just have a preference for certain ingredients in my cocktails. Their tequila drinks are great! I recommend the Border Crossing or their Margaritas with Tajín & jalapeños. My wife likes The Angry Ass Margarita

Food was delicious! Atmosphere was nice... my sister and I went for lunch to try it out and were impressed with service... however we were outnumbered by men for sure! With all the mess going on in the world its nice to find a Republican place to feel you are with your type People

bbq shrimp

0/5 The place its self is cool in theory, the food, not so much. We got bbq shrimp, which was drenched in ketchupy bbq sauce which made the breading soggy/falling off. The whole plate was an unpleasant smell. I got the Beto hot dog, not much flavor at all, even eating it with pico and jalapeños gave no flavor. Don't think we will be back.

Veterans & 1st responders get a discount

This place has a chill vibe. It's fairly new. Plenty of seating and a nice covered patio area. It was our 1st time visiting so we opted to sit at the bar... the service was good. Very friendly & professional. The menu speaks for itself with all the presidential and political names for items. We ordered chips with queso & guac for a starter. The couple next to use recommended the shrimp cocktail and wings. Amaretto sour and a sweet tea vodka mixed drink were our drinks... The bartender will gladly make anything you like if you don't see your preferred drink on the menu! Drinks were good and bartenders are very knowledgeable and experienced. On to the food! We ordered the Trump burger and the Antifa dog. My bf received the chicken burger instead if the Trump. Bartender offered to correct the order but my bf opted to keep it because it looked so good! My Antifa dog was delicious! Dogs are all beef and come in 2 sizes. I opted for the smaller and still couldn't eat it all! My bf chicken burger was moist and full of flavor. The fries were awesome! Sooo good! Veterans and 1st responders get a discount!! Everything was delicious and the service was great. We plan on returning during baseball season to catch a game. Large TVs hang over the bar. There is a 2nd bar and a pool table. There is a sign in the front door so, 21 AND OVER IN THE AFTERNOONS UNTIL CLOSING!! Stop by, give then a try! Support business that support veterans and 1st responders! Anyway

Love the vibe here. Funny political quotes, pictures, and menu item names. Great atmosphere. I only had drinks but will have to come back and try the food. Service was on point so we will be back and so far, highly recommend!

I was going to a Dave Matthews show at the Pavillon and wanted to grab dinner beforehand, so I thought this would be a perfect opportunity. I got to Market Street about an hour and a half before the concert started, and quickly became really nervous when I discovered the Market Street was apparently now Grand Central Station in New York City. Every human being on Earth was also here and the area was buzzing. After hunting forever, I finally got a parking spot and hustled down to the restaurant, only to be told it would be a 30 minute wait. Not good! However, just in the time it took me to sit down and scan through my phone for a last minute pivot to a new restaurant, my name was called. My 30 minute wait turned into a 5 minute wait and it could not have been more clutch. But because I was still in a bit of a hurry, I was ready and ordered the Trophy Burger as soon as my server came to greet me. And as was the theme of the night so far, said trophy burger was at my table within a few minutes. And because this was a solo mission for me, said trophy burger was in my belly in only about the time it took for them to cook it. My thoughts on the burger is that it was perfectly 4-stars. In between average and amazing. One thing that really stands out is that it was a messy undertaking. Don't eat this on a date before you're comfortable with the other person seeing you with sauce constantly all over your face and spilling onto your plate. Everything was all happening at such hyper speed that I even had time to order the dessert. I love Reeces, so when I saw a Peanut Butter & Chocolate Cup on the menu, I couldn't resist. You'll never believe it, but it was on my table within 2 minutes. My rating for this ranges from bite to bite. Some bites were amazing and others were just okay, depending on which ingredients were within that spoonful. Overall, I wouldn't need to order it again, but no regrets on trying it out. This is a nice addition to Market Street, and the back-of-house deserves a healthy share of the tips with how on top of it they were during a night with a packed house!

First, the positives because there were quite a few. Our waitress was excellent -- friendly, fast, attentive, and efficient without hovering. The atmosphere was interesting and honestly pretty fun. The place feels like a blend of Irish pub, sports bar, and live music venue. There were signs for trivia nights, karaoke, and live bands, so I can absolutely see this being a fun local hangout spot in the evenings. The food itself also tasted good across the board. My friend enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, another had avocado toast with crispy potatoes, and both were happy with their meals. Unfortunately, my crab Benedict was where things went sideways. Flavor-wise, it was actually delicious, which somehow made the disappointment worse. For $20, I expected actual crab cakes. Instead, the "crab cakes" were extremely tiny, thin little patties that looked more like miniature pancakes with crab mixed in. The English muffin was overcooked and completely overpowered the crab flavor to the point that I had to take everything apart just to taste the seafood. For perspective, I had bariatric surgery years ago and usually cannot finish a full restaurant meal unless I specifically order from the kids menu. I finished this entire plate easily and was hungry again shortly afterward. The portion size simply did not match the price. I didn't complain because the waitress truly did nothing wrong and the kitchen execution itself tasted good -- it just felt wildly overpriced for what was served. I would absolutely come back to try other menu items or visit during one of their entertainment nights, but I would never order the crab Benedict again unless the portion and presentation changed significantly. Overall: great service, fun atmosphere, tasty food, but the crab Benedict was one of the most underwhelming $20 brunch plates I've seen in a long time.

Fish Fry is our go-to on Friday's during Lent and the Fish-N-Chips pub entree is delicious…read more Thankfully they have it on the menu year round. You get your choice of sides and tater tots are a yummy option. The coleslaw is crunchy and creamy and the fish is to die for, you get three big giant battered white fish filets and it's plenty for two or three depending on your appetite. The shrimp cocktail sauce reminds me of my all time favorite Pete's Fish-n-Chips sauce back home (an institution in Phoenix) now I wish Woodson's had some fried shrimp too. We will be back again next week if we don't make it to our church fish fry!

I initially thought it was related to the Fielding's restaurants in the Woodlands area but it has no relation. It's basically a sports bar with a kitchen, but apparently a big kitchen because they have a good size menu of burgers, sandwiches, comfort food, seafood, Italian food, salads, apps, pricy desserts, egg rolls, mac and cheeses, wings, and a healthy list of draft beers. I came in for the burger since I had read it was formerly a tri-blend of my 3 fav combinations of beef on a burger: chuck, brisket and short rib. I'm not sure if they're still doing the blended beef because the patty didn't taste like any previously blended burgers I've had before. When I ordered the burger it came out to my table about 4 minutes later. Not sure how they can pull this off for a patty that's 1/2 lb. At home it takes me at least 8 minutes. I went with the Texan specialty burger. This burger wasn't that good and was one that tasted best upon first bite, then progressively got worse as you eat more of it. I didn't finish it and eventually peeled off a lot of ingredients and bun by the end. They have a nice atmosphere, but I would try another menu item next time. I will likely visit the location closer to my house in Spring next time.
