Our server was pleasant and attentive. The food was not so great, was not the best and not the worst. They had carpeted floor that was grimy and old. It also added a weird smell. We were here 1 month ago and the draft beer was warm and the bottle beer was no better! Came back to try again and the draft beer was warm still and tasted stale! Would not recommend this Apple Bees to anyone. read more

I have never been to an Applebee before but my wife says that they had pretty good food and are worth the try. This past Friday evening we took our 15 year old granddaughter there so I can see for myself. I was craving a really good hamburger and tried the Classic Bacon Cheeseburger with fries and I was really impressed. The burger had lots of flavor, was big and not too greasy. The fries were also hot and crispy and provided me with the really good meal. My wife and daughter both went with the 6 oz Top Sirloin with broccoli and mashed potatoes. Both of them said that steak was just average but their meals were good. A nice selection of craft beer topped off our meals and made for a nice simple evening. Our server was friendly, personable and constantly checked on our needs or questions. I was really impressed with the food and service at Applebee's and the next time I am looking for a good burger and beer, I will definitely be heading to Applebee's for a very reasonably priced meal. read more

So tonight was one of the first nights I have been to Applebee's in 20 years. Nobody in there was welcoming and very unfriendly. I felt like everyone there was a regular and if you wasn't you was unimportant. We had a platter with cheese sticks, boneless wings quesadillas, and spinach artichoke dip. The cheese sticks were very hard. The ranch on the boneless wings was water and the spinach artichoke dip was flavorless. I amat servers/bartender for the last 25 years and I don't think I would ever come to establishments-again. At the very end of the night, the bartender that was serving us started to be a more attentive because she seen. We was mad about the food but it was a little too late. Went to Applebees for dinner, a few things to note from the start, the restaurant is clean and organized but some of the booths are very worn and torn, so they require some TLC, but the tables were kept clean and they quickly bus their tables so they are ready for more customers. We were seated quickly, and the waiters was very attentive which is very good. The two appetizers we ordered were their boneless chicken wings with bbq and the loaded fries, both items are appropriately portioned for their price, the wings had plenty of sauce, the fries had plenty of cheese sauce and they were not over cooked. As far as the meal, we had ordered the fiesta lime chicken and rice, which came out just fine and made correctly, however, the second entre we ordered was the bourbon street chicken and shrimp, they forgot my meal entirely, so the waiters went back to the kitchen to have them make it, by the time they brought mine, they also brought the same meal to a neighboring booth, mine was missing the onions on top and it was missing the garlic butter on top plus it was burnt, they both next to me, his was loaded with onions, shrimp and garlic butter sauce, plus his was not burnt to a crisp, mind you we both had the exact same meal, mine was rushed and not edible, his looked delicious. I wish I could give a better opinion of my dish, but at it was delivered inedible, i just boxed it up to take home, hopefully to use in a stew or something else later. We didn't end up ordering dessert but they do have some real good desserts on their menu. Overall I give them a 3* only because of the issues with the food, we tipped the waiters well, on a $42 ticket we gave her $15 for tip, always take good care of your waiter or waitress, they can't control the kitchens ability to cook the food. read more

I had just gotten a massage across the road and was starving! Decided to give this place a shot! I walked in and waited to be seated for a while. I almost walked out but luckily the hostess came around. After checking the online menu, the tex mex shrimp bowl sounded delicious! I mean, they had me at chimichurri!! My waitress walks out with this steaming hot bowl of fabulousness!!! Tons of shrimp piled on top of cilantro rice with guacamole and a fresh corn salsa! Delicious is an understatement! This is Applebee's. A chain... cranking out food like this!!! It definitely blew my mind!! And it was only $11.99! For the amount of food and flavor, that's a steal!!! Soooo bad.... Restaurant was barely full, it was filthy, almost every table was dirty with dishes and food not cleared. We waited around 30 minutes for anyone to even come to the table at all. The table close to us finally got their food after 2 hours and nothing was correct. Our food came out wrong as well, many missing items that we had to ask several times for. Food quality was pretty bad so after waiting all that time it was just so not worth the time or the money. I made an order thru the DoorDash app. I had ordered the whiskey burger and onion rings. French fries come with the order on the app but I elected to have onion rings instead. Well I was sent French fries and no onion rings. I had also ordered neighborhood nachos. I looked on the app to see if I could designate what I wanted on them, but I couldn't find a way to change what came on them, ended up with guacamole... I know its APPLEBEES! I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. Started out decent. Got seated immediately. Our server was prompt in getting our drink and appetizer order. Then the wheels came off. 20 minutes later, no drinks or appetizer. Not even a glass of water. Manager eventually brings our appetizer and fails to notice we don't have any drinks or silverware. 10 minutes later our server comes to take our order. We ask for silverware and water. Another 10 minutes we receive water and silverware and our entree order is taken. We are then ignored for almost thirty minutes. I order a beer. Still no food. Almost 45 minutes after ordering our entrees the manager brings them to our table still oblivious to how long we've been waiting and offers zero explanation or apologies. Again, and I stress, the whole restraint, including the bar, are maybe a third full. Shortly after receiving our food our server ask if we need anything. A side of ranch is requested and does not arrive until all of our food has been eaten. BUT when asked for the check he was very quick (less than 5 minutes) to bring it. I have been going to Conroe Applebee's for several years now and have found the restaurant to be fairly priced and good service. Over the last few months the service has greatly improved and Brooke and Angela are two of the best and friendly waitresses I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. The food seems to be a little better and quicker to the table since Mike has taken management of the kitchen. Holding onto the server is not allowed...and I was informed that I would be removed from the premises if I did it again. Did I say I? I meant someone in my party was told that. This deal is available until 3pm, and has 7 options to choose from. You can also add brownie bites with ice cream for $1 more. I ordered the fiesta lime chicken (grilled chicken done Fiesta Style with zesty lime sauce, mexi-ranch and Jack cheddar. Served with tortilla strips, seasoned rice and freshly made pico de gallo.) & three-cheese chicken cavatappi ( an Italian Trio with cheeses - mozzarella, provolone and Parmesan - top a rich mix of cavatappi pasta, grilled chicken, bruschetta, fresh basil and alfredo sauce.) Of the 2 dishes, the Fiesta lime chicken was the standout. The way the lime blended and complimented the sauce put on the chicken made the trip worth it. They offered to replace it (which is why they are getting 3 stars) but overall I was appalled they called what I got a ribeye.
