Awful experience. Walked up a placed an order on their touchscreen menu, that part was actually quite easy. However, despite all their signage being on and taking orders, the truck was apparently not able to cook anything. So after I spent ten plus minutes figuring out that they weren't going to cook and had no timeline to start again, no one there could refund my order. Had no idea how to even do it in the system. This place is clean and the staff are very friendly. The Double BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger is really good and seasoned well. The Smoked Bacon Brisket kinda fell apart before we could even pick it up. It was good, but the brisket could use more sauce. It was a little bland. The Brussels Sprouts were tasty and a great alternative to fries, which are your standard skinny shoe string with skins on. UPDATE: Smashburger had been local "go-to" burger joint for awhile now. The last couple times I've been, sadness on the Smashburger home front. Burgers have been dry and less toppings on the ones I have ordered. And on a personnel note, i was also addicted to their veggie frites, but the last time i went in, I was informed they don't sell them anymore. Placed my order via the Yelp app which was easy to use. Smash burgers are very flavorful, fresh and made to order. I prefer eating a Smash burger over a Whataburger. Ordered onion rings and fries as well, onion rings a little greasy but good! Love the fries with the rosemary seasoning! The strawberry lemonade was a nice change to always drinking tea. I love the burgers here and their chicken club sandwich. It's so fresh and juicy and seasoned well. Also their sweet potato fries are delicious, sweet and crisp. Ever since I tried this place for the first time, I was so impressed by how good the food was and since than, I've been coming back. I would give this place a 5 star but the service at this location is not so great. The employees taking your order have no personality and don't seem happy to be there. Interesting name, good radio commercials, bad experience. As previously stated, SmashBurger has a good marketing campaign with their name and radio commercials, which successfully struck my interest. However, I did not enjoy my experience. For some reason my both my burger and fries were extremely salty. I'm very happy that they decided to put a Smashburger up at the front of Kingwood. The Northpark exit really has some nice places to eat now and Smashburger classed up the burger joints already there. I recently had the spinach and feta salad with grilled chicken added. Not a bargain lunch at over $10 with a soda but, it was enough for 2 meals making it a deal IF you can manage to bring the other half home. I ate it all so $10 lunch for me. I've had burgers and chicken sandwhiches at Smashburger before and all are excellent. In fact, I had their hot dog once and I have never been disappointed. I asked would you eat this? ....A lady I wasn't even speaking to yelled from behind the register, "our burgers are medium rare". Rare and medium rare or two different things. This is my favorite burger place to eat, not only for the burgers, but the chicken sandwiches are to die for. I always like to load mine up with double grilled chicken patties because they're so juicy! The staff is very kind if you're patient with them. They walk you through the whole ordering process and make it easy on you and will make sure you get every discount that is available. The "Smash fries" are absolutely delicious! Bring your friends and family because this is a great experience at this location.
