Our second time recently to eat here and we were seated in the same left 2nd booth as last time, our waitress has always been great and food just perfect! We used to come as a family back in the day but our kids are now teen to adulting so just been me and my husband which we both typically go for the lunch menu at a 9-10am timeframe... 2 weeks ago we got the pot roast and turkey sourdough with the onion rings and seasoned fries-yum! This morning I went for the omelette because I saw one last time another guest got that made my mouth water! And it didn't disappoint! I got the veggie omelette with bacon and man you can't tell me anyone can get one so loaded and flavorful than the Dennys one I got (pic attached) for like $14.50 anywhere else! Hubby had the turkey Cali sandwich and loved it and took half home because it's so filling (as I did as well; just so much of a portion). We used our Dennys rewards of 20% off so perfect as it paid the tip for our waitress and we walked out with awesome meals with left overs! I just want to give a big thanks to Catherine, me, and two of my friends came in and sat down, ready to eat because we were hungry - and Catherine served us. Despite the late hour she served us with a smile on her face, you can tell that this girl is working super hard. Catherine not only seemed to be serving alone but she did not let that affect her work ethic. When you serve despite difficult times in your life with a smile on your face, it will not only make people around you feel happy, but it will also will show your character, and Catherine showed great character. That being said, I highly recommend asking for Catherine. She should definitely receive a raise/promotion more than anything and she definitely deserves it!!!! read more

I had an amazing experience at Denny's thanks to Nestor. From the moment we were seated, he was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely friendly. He made sure our drinks were refilled quickly and checked in at just the right times without ever making us feel rushed. Nestor knew the menu well and gave great recommendations. When we had questions about substitutions and specials, he answered confidently and made sure everything was exactly how we wanted it. Our food came out hot and correct, and he followed up to make sure we were satisfied. What really stood out was his positive attitude. Even though the restaurant was busy, he stayed calm, professional, and upbeat with every table. You can tell he takes pride in his work and cares about giving customers a good experience. We have enjoyed going to this Denny's on fm 1488 for most of the 15 years we have lived in the area. We've had a number of regular servers over the years, but KIM is one of the most sincere and attentive I have seen at any restaurant. We ask for her as many others she serves do. She knows many of her customers by name and does not shy away from giving top quality service to new ones. She is truly an "ambassador" for the restaurant. She makes sure the food coming from the kitchen is cooked correctly and never let's our coffee or water run low. It is clear she is a leader among the staff. Others are seen coming to her for leadership and advice when the manager (...and many have come and gone) is unavailable. ...BTW, We rarely see a manager come around the serving area to check on customer's meals. Everyone knows Denny's. The food is pretty standard across the locations. You know what you're gonna get when you order. That's not the reason for this review. Mrs. Kim is our favorite! She makes you feel like you're having breakfast at your grandma's house. She's always in a good mood with a smile on her face! She brought some fruit out for our 3 year old to eat while we waited for our meals because they were backed up, without us even asking. Made it across the 7 lanes of busy traffic for a survivor's breakfast: Hot coffee and The Chicken Biscuit Bowl! Excellent service kept coffee coming during a very short wait for fluffy biscuits, crunchy chicken nuggets, covered with hot, creamy gravy, and two perfectly cooked eggs over easy! Only glitch was TV remote wasn't immediately available to turn it on, and empty restaurant was like a tomb: however, staff searched high-and-low, finally finding the gadget. The service has gone down hill here. They took FOREVER to take our order! Waited for 20 minutes for our drinks, to only bring wrong ones. Waited another 30-35 min for our food for it not to be brought out all together. My son bit into his burger and had a huge piece of plastic in it. We had not visited this Dennys in a while. Our server was Aaron and he was such a sweet person. He informed us of some items that were out of stock before we ordered. He was so pleasant the entire time he waited on us. This guy goes above and beyond with his customer service. He pretty much had a smile on his face the whole time. I can tell he takes pride in what he does. Thanks to Aaron, I thoroughly enjoyed my dinner. You don't find many servers that treats customers like Aaron treated us. Keep up the excellent job Aaron. The problem is that the phone is not being answered after a dozen tries. Apparently, they are not wanting customers? My husband and I went to this location last Friday, I am disabled and my husband dropped me off at the door. My husband received a call from one of his employees and so I stood at the hostess stand for over 5 minutes. I could hear the employees in the back laughing and talking about personal things. So I moved over to the check out counter hoping after standing there waiting to be seated for almost 10 minutes, someone finally came out of the back. I had asked the employee why I had to stand there for so long, especially since there was only a few customers in the restaurant. I had told the employee that I was standing there for almost 10 minutes and they preceded to get an attitude and argue that I wasn't standing there that long. When she seated me she threw the menus on the table. I asked for the manager and she said she was the manager and said her name was Kayla. If this the kind of manager that Denny's has in their restaurant than they need to rethink that. read more

I can't say anything about the food since after waiting half an hour our food never arrived, so we left. There were two of us and we ordered breakfast at 10:15 am. on a Monday. I saw what looked like six waiters and our waiter took our order without writing it down and he came back twice to confirm the order, since he had forgotten parts of it. We never saw him again until 10:40. I got his attention and asked about the order. His reply was they are backed-up. I looked around and there weren't many other customers. We left at 10:45 without having breakfast. Service has been poor in the past, but this was too much. We will never eat at this Dennys again. read more

The good news about Denny's is you can pretty much expect the food to be consistent from one location to another so this review is not about the food but the service. Went for lunch yesterday and when we were greeted by the very rude hostess we finally settled on a booth by the window. My potato soup was tasty but just lukewarm. Coffee tasted like mud, however after complaining about it I was given a freshly brewed cup. The service was very slow, waited 45 minutes for food. When we went to pay the bill, there were nine people waiting to do the same with no cashier in sight. Everyone was getting upset about the wait. I've never given 5 stars to a Denny's but after so many Woodland breakfast misses Denny's in Magnolia is a winner. What what a concept, you go out for breakfast and someone else pours coffee refills for you? I'm not rustling around a restaurant getting my own food or coffee, I can sit back relax and have a wonderful cheap breakfast with super duper friendly service. Betty was our waitress and she was very attentive and our food was wonderful. The veggie omelet was delicious and my kids loved their pancakes. I will never step foot in this location again. After my trip there the other day, I stood at the front counter for 15 minutes while I watched an employee sit at a booth and stare at me while she smoked a cigarette. There was no one else there except for a guy sitting in the same booth, could have been an employee or someone in relations with the employee. If you're serviNg people food and have long hair, pull it back. Secondly she seemed very uninterested in serving us, it took her almost 15 min to take out order, I would except this if we weren't the only ones in the restaurant, but there was only 1 other table she was waiting on. Our food came out 30 min later, which by the way was wrong. Our over medium eggs were fried hard, no yolk, we didnt order toast, but it came out burnt and so did our pancakes. Ordered eggs benedict, came with fried eggs not poached. Also came with lumpy cheese sauce not holandase sauce. When I complained I was belittled by the waitress. She claimed it said right in the menu it said medium fried eggs. She also claimed lots of people make that mistake. I looked at the menu, and yes it did say medium eggs. However not fried eggs. As well the picture showed poached eggs. She refused to acknowledge the cheese sauce. Poor service and even the manager did not want to come make it right. read more

Ordered two beyond burgers with onion rings, a sampler, a diet coke, two pieces of apple crisp with ice cream and caramel. The burgers came without any lettuce, tomato,onions and barely any condiments. We ordered extra things on the burgers like carmelized onion and avacado. None were on the burgers. Three onion rings in the sampler and four in the box with the burgers, they were small and some were burnt. Two chicken tenders cut in half with hot sauce. I guess technically you could consider that hot wings? A handful of fries. No condiments that were ordered. Then there was a note that said sorry we are out of apple crisp so they gave me two small pieces of bland cheesecake. Which, if I didn't check the bag would not have noticed as they didn't even try to tell me or call me when I was going to leave. Lastly the waitress said I didn't order a diet coke as I showed her on the receipt I did. Good thing I stopped myself to check. Go to Burger King for the impossible whopper as you shouldn't have to dismantle a burger to check it.
