We have been wanting to try Eden Table and finally did. We visited on a Friday night about 6:30 PM. We were greeted with smiles and sat promptly. The restaurant offers a comfortable yet semi elegant environment and feel. No need to dress up, but I wouldn't wear your worst. The menu offers kids meals but this is a date night place. Alma was our waitress and provided excellent service! We started with an old school gin martini. Gin, splash of vermouth, an olive and a twist of lemon. The first one was terrible. The bartender added lemon juice to it when we wanted lemon twist. That said, they made it right and it turned out delicious! We ordered the calamari to go along with our drink, but got the calamari early, so we had to eat it while it was hot. Needless to say, it took a while for our drink to come out and then be remade. The calamari was good. I ordered the chicken fried steak and my other half ordered the petit filet. Presentation on the plate was great! The chicken fried steak was good, but very thin. The mashed potatoes and green beans were great. The wedge salad my other half got with his steak was wonderful. The blue cheese was very mild and excellent (and I'm not a blue cheese fan)! The petit filet was cooked perfectly but the risotto was clumpy and mushy. I hate to say this, but the steak was good, but not $50 good. My other half said it was kind of bland. Overall, this is a good little place. We do plan to go back and try other menu items like the seafood tacos or the almond crusted red snapper. Wonderful family owned restaurant that has expanded due to popularity. They even have a private room for those who need meeting space. Plenty of booths and tables, but due to popularity, you may have to wait especially on the weekends. They have an extensive breakfast menu served from 8 to 3. Lots of amazing appetizers and salads. The favorite is the Laura salad which is spinach tossed with strawberries, mandarins, caramelized, walnuts, and Gorgonzola cheese and a Housemade vinaigrette. Daily lunch specials but there's so many things to order off the menu included sandwiches, burgers, pastas, seafood, and numerous specialties like the Cuban Ropa Vieja, which is shredded beef cooked in tomato, red wine sauce with garlic, bell peppers, and onions. WOW WOW WOW! What an absolute gem Eden Table was the perfect pick for a birthday dinner with my awesome friend. From the moment we walked in, the vibe was on point: beautiful space, great energy, and an incredibly accommodating team. While I was quietly trying to figure out how to surprise my friend with a little birthday dessert, I caught the eye of the bartender who immediately jumped in and helped pull it all together. Meanwhile, the amazing service team showed up with exactly what I was hoping for and then some! And then, WHAAAATTT?! Meal was nice and warm on arrival. Portions were generous, only able to eat 1 1/2 of my tacos. Salsa for tacos was not overpowering and complimented the meal perfectly. The service here is warm & friendly, the venue has old fashioned charm, and the food is superb. We dined here for the first time last weekend, and we were all very impressed. The venue has plenty of seating, decorated in a farmhouse theme, and the scripture on the walls were an inviting touch. We had a large group, so they offered us a comfy long table in the private dining room. We were seated immediately and greeted by our sweet server, "Alma." She did a stellar job attending to our party of 8 on a very busy Friday night, was enthusiastic & knowledgable with the menu, and highlighted the drink specials and seasonal items. I'll be honest, we were skeptical. The former Eden's Cafe was a locally hyped up restaurant, and with the re-branding to Eden Table we were worried things would be lost in translation. And, at first glance the dinner menu seemed pretty basic... The pictures didn't do much justice of visually enticing me, and many options were too similar to food offered at other restaurants. However, this was a good lesson to not judge a book by its cover!!! The food was soooo good!!! Fresh, high quality ingredients, and ridiculously tasty! I think everyone practically licked their plates clean. Our family has some picky eaters, but there wasn't a single complaint about the appetizers, entrees, or desserts we devoured. ***My husband said their off-the-menu Almond Crusted Redfish with Crab Topping was some of the best fish he's ever had. My Shrimp & Grits plate was rich & decadent, and the side of Brussels Sprouts with Bacon was on par with top tier steakhouses. Great place! The restaurant is nice inside and everyone is friendly. The food is great and my wife and I loved coming here and we will be coming back. Breakfast is until 3pm which is great! All the food honestly looks amazing and I can't wait to try more items on the menu. My avocado toast was almost perfect but it wasn't toasted at all. It was just a plain white piece of bread so that was a bummer but the overall taste was great. The service at the end was a bit slow, the waitress left our check and never came back so we had to get up to pay the bill. Other than that, it was pretty great! read more

This was our first time at Eden Table ( won't be our last for sure) our greeter got us to a table of five immediately, nice smile. Bella was already at our table to take our drink order, which by the way was 1/2 priced Margarita night. I ordered the frozen strawberry margarita and my wife ordered the frozen Mango margarita both had Tahini on the rim ($7.50 per) they were excellent. We ordered the appetizer sampler of Calamari/Mozzarella Sticks/Brussel Sprouts for a starters of 5 people it was perfect. The service here was amazing, they do tag-team service Luke brought our appetizers and salads, our Grandson wanted an Italian salad and Luke made it happen immediately. As we are setting there a guitar player was playing in the background, perfect sound, not to loud but yet very light, loved it! Our appetizer came quickly and we were not disappointed. We ordered our dinner, my wife and I split the chicken fried steak with Garlic Mashed Potatoes with cream gravy, and country cooked green beans. When they brought it out they already split our dinner, that was amazing. The food was not disappointing! Eric the manager stopped by to check on us and we were happy to say great food, great service. 9/18/25-I loved the pianist. Your staff is great. But, you have to step it up with the food. I would recommend that you go to Republic Grill, and taste their cream gravy. You can taste the butter and the cream. I think they had a little chicken bouillon as well. Very rich and decadent. There is no comparison. The mashed potatoes needed butter and cream and salt. The chicken fried steak was very under seasoned. Please take this as a constructive criticism. I noticed that a lot of people complained about the chicken fried steak. It's Texas! Our third time to enjoy the fine cuisine of Eden Table and we were not disappointed! The food was delicious, and the service was on point! We ordered big with the intention of having leftovers for lunch the next day and, honestly, had a hard time choosing what to eat more of and what to save! The spaghetti and Meatballs were phenomenal with homemade meatballs AND house made marinara sauce! Rich and tomato-ey like nothing out of a jar! The Chicken Marsala was rich and creamy. the flavors were a beautiful blend of mushroom and port wine sauce. It will likely be my "go-to" for future visits. Have eaten here for years. Before Covid, during Covid (thank goodness for them) and have continued now even though we've moved a half hour away. Just recently did their catering to go for a family celebration (a first) and the chicken pesto didn't disappoint. With toddlers you never know what they will or won't eat and everyone was very happy. The owners are also wonderful and very involved in Ministry work, film making ect. My Dad is handicapped and Alma was really amazing helping him with his dish and engaging in conversation with him. Our food: The lasagna was listed as a favorite and it did not disappoint. My father had the ropa vieja. It was tender and flavorful. The beans and rice reminded me of the famous Cuban restaurants in Miami, complete with delicious plantains. My sister had the Laura's salad it had fresh spinach ripe strawberries and walnuts in a light vinaigrette. It was delightful. This is a hidden gem in Magnolia. We are here for the first time since the name change. I always loved the food when it was Eden cafe. I ordered the Brussel sprouts to start off with and then ordered an omelette with rosemary potatoes. The Brussel sprouts were far too sweet and sitting in syrup. Then a few bites in there was a HAIR!! As everyone would agree, that's disgusting and ruins your appetite. But I went ahead with my omelette. It tasted like something was burned in it. It was not good at all. How do you mess up an omelette?!!!! The potatoes were mushed up and had a strange taste. So I asked for salsa! All I can say is don't do it!!!!! How do you make salsa taste gross? My recommendation is just don't eat there. It's obviously under new management and new chefs!!! read more

I am wondering if Eden's is under new ownership and I just didn't get the memo. I used to love this place but was underwhelmed tonight. First thing that was off is husband ordered a mixed drink in a TALL GLASS with lime , it came out after a LONG wait in a short glass with no lime. I ordered lasagna and they FINALLY brought me some garlic bread AFTER I was finished with my food . I had dinner tonight with my son and daughter-in-law. It was my birthday and they asked me to pick a place. I chose Edens table because it is close to their home in Woodforest. It's been years since I've been there and neither of them have tried it. I loved it, they loved it and Luke our waiter was great! It had been a couple of years since my last experience and I thought I would try it again since I was in the area and wanted a mostly healthy meal. The last time I was there, the eggs were served mostly raw. This time was just as bad. I had just come home from a road trip from Omaha; the waitress, who had never heard of it welcomed me to Texas. The garlic bread was bread slices slathered in oil. The meatloaf was mostly vegetables and tasted nothing like meatloaf. The mashed potatoes were unremarkable. And the Caesar salad was wilted. Because it's nice to know I have a Cuban sandwich go-to nearby. --- --- --- After living for nearly the last 15 years in Tampa, I knew my move back to the Houston area would result in some serious Cuban food FOMO. As soon as I heard that Eden Cafe had a Cuban sandwich on the menu, I immediately moved up high on my to-try list. The result? I thought it was enjoyable, but still a notch below what I was used to in Florida. The bread was high-quality, but it wasn't really pressed like a Cuban should be. In Tampa, I'd probably give a 3-star rating, but it was still something I'd order again. My wife's country fried steak was great. I only had one bite, but I was eyeing it the whole time she was eating it. I have a feeling she will be suggesting a return to Eden many times and she'll probably never order anything other than that. I ordered their special of the day, which was the almond crusted grouper with your choice of two sides. I chose the Cajun Mac and cheese and the creamy jalapeño corn. Alright... if you can handle a little heat, try the corn! I was raving about the corn to the whole table! The fish was also delicious and the portions are very generous. The bread pudding was soft, moist, and topped with vanilla ice cream. The beignets were crisp on the outside and soft inside like a nice pillow. It's dusted with powdered sugar And accompanied with your choose of sauce on the side (chocolate, strawberry, or caramel). The Cuban coffee is also a sweet treat to go along with dessert. Thumbs up for all the dishes that came out of their kitchen! SERVICE & AMBIANCE Eden Cafe does take reservations! Our server was attentive, quick, and very friendly! Drinks were refilled, dishes were taken when done, and she always had a smile! The food came out the kitchen at a very timely manner as well! The manager comes to greet and check with us if everything was to our expectations. The inside is a bit dark, but with good lighting at your tables. It's good for date night, reunions with family or friends, or just for a quick bite to eat. They have a full parking lot, so no need to struggle with street parking. Gotta support local businesses! Kind of a bizarre, eclectic Kaleidoscope experience. I came here based on the recommendations but the ambiance of this restaurant was really conflicting. However I will say the food and service are fantastic! I was looking forward to trying this restaurant out. When we walked in, the main dining area gives a sense of a local diner... We were then seated in the back area, which appears to have the decor of an Italian wine tasting room. But the confusing part was that there was mariachi music blaring throughout the restaurant?... So to sum it up: (1) walking in, I initially wanted diner food but then being seated in the back (2) I want Italian food but then with the blaring mariachi music (3) I wanted tortilla chips and Mexican food. It was quite a strange array of conflicting enticements! Unfortunately we had just missed the breakfast menu so we opted for the grilled ham and cheese sandwich which was actually very good! It came with caramelized onions and tomatoes as well which were very delicious. I opted for the side of the sweet potato casserole. Everything was very delicious and enjoyable. The staff service was very friendly and courteous. He was also very attentive to make sure we had the fresh coffee and drinks. The restaurant appeared very cleaned and well maintained.
