It took a waiter noticing us that finally asked the hostesses if we were waiting on a table for them to get us seated. Our waiter was incredible. He did take great care of us and didn't mind when we had two more people join us unplanned. We did sit inside because it was a colder night. The inside of the restaurant is just not set up well in my opinion. When you're waiting at the front, you're basically on top of a table of diners. The tables are all very close to each other and it feels like it's a very tight space. I do believe that the patio is a better vibe for seating, but we didn't really get to check it out. The food was just okay. It wasn't bad but I also wasn't very impressed. We shared the mediterranean sampler. I ordered the chicken piccata while my husband had the sausage bianco pizza. It was just kind of average. It is always busy when we drive by, so it does seem to be a place that people love. It just wasn't for us and we likely won't be back, especially given how pricy it was for how average it is.

As far as drinks, they have the $5, $6, and $8 basic drinks, and then the higher priced specialty cocktails (5 of them) for $11 each. I tried the toasted ravioli and mussels. For drinks, I tried the margarita and an old fashioned. Toasted ravioli - I have to admit....Houston is probably never going to beat any of the restaurants serving toasted ravioli in St. Louis. Here, they're more rubbery and you can barely taste any beef. Mussels - a big disappointment, they are steamed in garlic herbs and white wine, but on my visit they tasted sour and putrid. Margarita - a very smooth drink made with triple sec. I liked it, but it was a little pricy for happy hour considering I had just had a great $7 margarita down the road just yesterday. Old fashioned - this was a good cocktail with simple ingredients but it was made well. It took another 10 minutes before they returned to actually open. We placed our food order and then... nothing. Absolutely nothing. No food. No updates. No check-ins. We sat at the table for an hour and fifteen minutes after ordering without a single dish arriving. At that point, we had no choice but to leave, still hungry and completely frustrated. The only reason this review isn't even worse is because the manager at least had the decency to comp our bottle of wine, which was appreciated--but it doesn't come close to making up for the ruined evening. The staff appeared, overwhelmed, as if Valentine's Day snuck up on them. Valentine's Day is supposed to be special. Instead, this restaurant delivered disorganization, neglect, and a total lack of basic service. If you're looking for a place to waste your time, patience, and appetite, this is it.
