A low light chill vibe with fresh hot food flowing around. We started strong with a table favorite: the Wild West Shrimp and bread. The shrimp were delicious as usual, and those jalapeños add just enough heat to keep you reaching back into the plate for another one. For my main, I kept it classic with a New York Strip cooked medium, mashed potatoes, and a Caesar salad. Boom. Everything came out within a good amount of time, at the right temperature, and tasted exactly how I expected it to. Our waiter was attentive without hovering and made himself available throughout the meal, which I always appreciate. We did have a short wait before being seated, but considering this was a late Saturday night, it really wasn't bad at all. Overall, LongHorn continues to be one of those dependable spots for me. We love the food here but the service is always so horrible. The greeter seemed annoyed tonight and she even got the manager when we asked to be seated. It took 1.5 hours to get our food tonight. They need to change the management or risk losing their customers. The service here is always a hit or miss, you never know. We went for a late lunch to this location after 2pm. Not busy. Served quickly. We each had a different type of steak. Rib eye and filet. The filet was perfectly cooked to a medium temperature. I added a Caesar salad that was excellent and a nice portion. The ribeye was fattier than our liking. The steamed broccoli was perfectly cooked and baked potato was as expected. Meh lol....My first visit to LongHorn was last month in Maryland, and it was everything and more!!!... So I was really hoping to have a similar experience at this location. Upon entering, we were told there was a 15 minute wait. We opted to sit in the bar area in hopes of faster service. They appeared to be short staffed, so I quickly understood why there was a wait despite having several available tables. Food: I ordered the exact meal that I had in Maryland. Parmesan crusted chicken, corn on the cob and Cesar salad. Well, the chicken wasn't cooked thoroughly so I sent it back. They did recook it which was much better! Came in for lunch on a Thursday. There wasn't a large crowd, but each server had a good amount of customers. The staff was friendly and my server made sure I had everything I needed and checked on me as I ate. I ordered the chicken fried chicken with mashed potatoes and okra. The food was served quickly and hot. I liked that the chicken wasn't overbreaded. And the okra wasn't fried too hard. The cream gravy had a good thickness and wasn't too watery. It pissed me off so bad - I said to him "Dude, your Bar looks like S..t"! We can't even sit there. Went here for lunch on 1-15-2026 . Sat at the bar because nobody came to seat us . At the bar while eating the appetizer a roach ran straight at my best friend's plate . She jumped up at first but it came back at her. She killed it with her napkin . She kept the sounder wraps because she didn't want the other guest to hear it . The bartender was very nonchalant about it . She told the manager that she didn't look in the napkin to see if it was a roach in it . Which to me implies that she discredited what we said . I recorded it and told her I had a video. Nobody asked to see it . I had chicken Parmesan and it wasn't hot . I ended up bagging it because the whole roach experience ruined my appetite . The ambiance was more than inviting. The mood was spot on. Longhorn Spring/Woodlands/Conroe, simply amazing. I listed those areas as this location is smack in the middle of them all. Our server did not miss a beat on service. Tess was very knowledgeable about the entire menu. There was no question I asked, and believe me, I ask a lot of questions, she knew EVERY answer. The food: HOT, FRESH, AND SCRUMPTIOUS!!! We had of course the complimentary bread and butter. This restaurant is always very cold. This time it was like a meat locker. When I asked that the temperature be raised, the hostess said they are always getting complaints that it is too cold. Our server, Jairo, came immediately to our table and asked our drink orders. He brought out our drinks, and then I asked for our appetizers and he asked if we were ready to order. We asked for some more time as we were not ready. He brought out our Wild West Shrimp first and it was so amazing and flavorful. Everyone at the table devoured the shrimp even though it was steaming hot and fresh. Jairo took our orders and then checked on our Parmesan crusted wings and brought those out. The wings were so hot you could still see the steam when biting into them. I loved the wings and would definitely order them again. I come here often, but have been feeling disappointed. I order a house salad with no cucumber, and EVERY TIME they put cucumber. This time they still put the cucumber, but there were no tomatoes. It's frustrating because they are cut up very small, and it can be hard to pick all of them out. Their steaks are pretty inconsistent. Sometimes they are good, but more often than not they are extremely salty. I'm a fan of salty food, but the amount of salt they put on their steaks is outrageous. The service is normally pretty good, but our waiter this time was not very attentive. He accidentally gave someone I was with sweet instead of unsweetened, and we had to call him over again after already asking for a new drink. If they gave out the same quality of food at a lower price point, this would be a 5 star experience all the way. The service is always at least above par on a bad day! The foods are consistently well made and the seasoning utilized always hits the tongue just right. The portion sizes seems to hit on the heftier side, so I'm definitely a fan of that! I think the Wild West Shrimp is an appetizer worth the money. If you look at my salad that came with my Longhorn steak, you'll see that the portion is beyond that of a normal side dish amount. Today, we visited Longhorn Steakhouse in The Woodlands Texas. We visit at least once a month. It's our favorite place. It's my nieces 8th birthday. So, we brought the whole family. Not anymore. We were sat quickly. Then waited 45 minutes just for drinks. The drink order came back wrong for everyone. Then the food came out. The wrong meat cut was provided to my mother in law and both of our steaks were cooked to the wrong temperature. We had to send them back. I order the Flo's fillet every time I come. So, O know what the meat should look like. When they brought them back out, her Flo's Fillet was perfect. Mine was the wrong cut of meat. Less than an inch thick. The manager, Jen, said she picked it herself. I kindly informed her that it's incorrect and said to please just remove it. I decided to just not eat. Everyone else was already done eating at this point. She said she would make it right by us. Then, we were ignored for another 45 minutes. As we listened to the staff come together and sing happy birthday to a nearby group who was there after us. They forgot my nieces birthday and never came. I asked if she could have her dessert. We paid for it. And after 20 minutes, we got it. Then no one brought our ticket so we could pay. My husband stayed behind to handle it. I was so distraught. What a massive let down. We were excited to bring my niece and mother in law for the first time ever and bragged about how great they were. It turned out so terrible. And the manager did not make it right nor did she even apologize. She argued with my husband. He's a chef. He knows his cuts of steak. And you can't tell me that the order I get every single time is a thin slice of meat. I know my order. Absolute shock and disappointment all the way around. We have come here for over 2 years. My, my, my. I haven't been to this place in years. Since my kids were little. We recently went for my uncle's birthday and I'm telling you it didn't disappoint. We pass it up everyday and see the parking lot is always full but for us it was just memories from when the kids were little. This food was so good we went back the following weekend. It's been a minute since I've been to a restaurant were the food had flavor. I didn't have to add any salt to anything. We spend time searching for places to try and this is right under our nose. The food was so good I wanted to meet the cook. I'm a true cook at heart and I'm a real hard critique therefore if longhorn received 5 stats from me, it has to be delicious. The portions are mad crazy. You really get what you pay for; which is very hard to find these days. The prices are so cheap we were in disbelief. They do not sacrifice the quality of the food. I had a tenderloin that was cooked to perfection (medium cook). 9oz tenderloin in disbelief again over the price. It's was perfect! I didn't have to pay 80.00 for it. Lawd, the brussel sprouts was finger licking good. The second visit I had the chicken fried chicken, again cooked to perfection. Even the white gravy and potatoes were full of flavor. We tried the onion petals, fried okra, and fried shrimp appetizer. All delicious! Did I mention the portions. Sheesh. It is enough for a second serving at home. I scrambled eggs to go with my leftovers and had a full brunch plate. The service is excellent and the restaurant itself is casual.
