It's been a while since I had been here but came for the rolls and cinnamon butter. The only picture I failed to take because we gobbled them up. I like they changed, since covid, the distribution of peanuts. I still enjoy them. We had the ribs, legit fell off the bone and very flavorful too. Loved the mashed potatoes and white gravy and mac and cheese. I did get the 20oz prim rib and was a little disappointed. It was cooked correctly but it legit tasked like grilled turkey. I have my hubby taste it and said the same thing. Steak should not taste like turkey. So that was a waste. Restaurant was packed for Wednesday but clean! Our waitress was new but she was very good and on top of it. Ariel was super sweet and attentive. She will be a great there. Now the best thing about the entire restaurant was the service by the server. I usually don't mention names but our server was Patricia and she was the best. I recommend just taking the one serving for a small group because they are addictive and you'll be full before main course. We were offered a second round when we sat because we were waiting to get our appetizers. (Bad idea lol we were full) Dinner service was good our server took great care of us and even took back one of our steak to get it a little more done because it was more rear than I'd like it medium well. Good for game night or just to have a weekend dinner, there were numerous bday celebrations throughout the night also. So great for that too. Drinks were ok. Haven't had a chance to stop by to sit down and eat, but anytime I order take out it's awesome! My order is always correct, the food is always delicious, and the staff is always super nice! Weekends are hectic but as long as you order ahead of time there isn't much of a wait. During the week I tend to get my food super quick if I do my Togo. They have a display of the different types of steaks and their thickness they offer if your not sure which one to choose , they provide you with peanuts at the table, they cook your steak to your likeness and the rolls omgeee are nice and hot. Im personally not a fan of the sweet butter but they will give you the regular one upon request. Be mindful of the fully loaded potato upcharge. Have tried two different steaks above the lowest price one. Purchased them "to-go". Last was the bone-in ribeye which had a good review online. Both were really tuff and very difficult to cut with the plastic knife provided. I will never try one of their hand cut steaks again, period. read more

This was my third visit to Texas Roadhouse, and unfortunately, it was the most disappointing one so far. Although I came in with patience--understanding that the restaurant was busy--the service and food quality were frustrating this time around. We waited quite a while for our meals, and when they finally arrived, several items were missing. My daughter ordered broccoli with her chicken bites, and it never came. I ordered a steak with a shrimp side, loaded mashed potatoes, two garlic butters, and a Caesar salad. While the appetizer (loaded fries) came out quickly and was a generous portion for the table, the rest of the experience went downhill. The Caesar salad arrived after the appetizer, and then all of our main dishes came out at once. That's when I noticed my shrimp and garlic butter were missing. Worse, my steak--ordered medium--was completely pink throughout. At the time, I didn't eat the steak because I was already full from the sides and appetizer. However, I ate it later at home, and I deeply regret it. The steak was clearly undercooked--borderline raw--and now the following day, I'm dealing with an upset stomach and food poisoning symptoms. I honestly feel like I have "diarrhea in the lungs"--that's how bad it is. To top things off, my alcoholic drink (The Legend) took nearly 40 minutes to arrive. I've been to Texas Roadhouse about four times total, but it's always this specific location (1960 & I-45) that seems to get the order wrong or cook the steak improperly. For a steakhouse, this is especially disappointing. Cooking steak to temperature should be second nature. I'm writing this review in hopes that management takes the feedback seriously. I was enjoying a delicious meal, the grilled chicken salad, and noticed that the manager was going around and thanking the veterans for their service. I asked the manager what his name is and learned it is "RAY". It was Veteran's Day and I thought that was very appropriate and deserving for Ray to do what he was doing, considering how busy he was. Since this location increased their TO-GO area the service has gotten horrible. Orders are always late by at least 15mins, if you try to call in an order you're put on hold for 10mins, and typically there's something wrong with the food. It's ridiculous! At first I blamed the pandemic but for the past 6 visits it's been the same horrible service. I get this isn't the most important job out there but at least do the minimum. Maybe this location needs to start paying its staff more. On a Monday night, it shouldn't take an order of three sirloins 50mins to make and if it does, learn how to quote order times correctly!
