For appetizers, we started with the fried calamari perfectly crispy, not greasy at all, and super flavorful. Two of us also had the Caesar salad and whew ‍ so fresh and delicious. The lettuce was crisp, the dressing was on point, everything tasted high quality. Now let's talk entrées because BABY We ordered: * Lobster ravioli * Baked lasagna * Spaghetti "The Works" * Wings * Penne alla vodka And when I tell you EVERYTHING was amazing every single plate came out hot, fresh, and full of flavor. No misses at all. The lobster ravioli was rich and creamy, the lasagna was comforting and hearty, the penne alla vodka was perfectly balanced, and even the wings were seasoned and cooked just right. And the spaghetti "The Works"?? FULLY loaded and packed with flavor loaded with toppings and sauce in every bite. Not dry, not bland, just straight delicious. On top of the food, the atmosphere was warm and inviting, the pricing was very reasonable for the quality, and the service was excellent very attentive without being overbearing. I've never dined in but I have had several occasions to have the food here by now via rep-sponsored lunches or personal takeout, and each time the food has been fantastic. The bread is to die for and their menu variety is excellent. Whenever I'm craving some comfort food, their tortellini alla panna in particular always hits the spot for its simplicity and richness. They do have sandwiches too, but they've been a bit dry in my experience. I dine frequently at the OG location of Adriatic located in Jersey Village. This restaurant is larger and nicer instead with plenty of parking spaces and located right next to Hwy 249. Adriatic's best deal is for lunch with their special lunch menu that offers many dinner entrees at reduced prices. I ordered the chicken cacciatore entree for the lunch price of $11. First to arrive is a basket of fresh warm bread rolls and then a complimentary salad only free at lunch. The big bowl of chicken cacciatore arrived a little later. This was a very good tasting and filling meal. You don't leave Adriatic Cafe hungry. The food tasted the same here as the Jersey Village location which is a compliment. If this place weren't so close I might not be as fond, but it is. The food is basic and delicious. Also, huge portions, even on the lunch menu. Huge garlic rolls with every meal. We always get calamari or mozzarella sticks to start. Both are tasty. I always get the eggplant parmigiana and my husband has been favoring the works. We're both always happy with the food. It's in a strip center, and they've done their best to make it atmospheric, and they've done an alright job. It's cute. The service lately has really missed the mark. We're pretty patient customers, but the staff are teenagers that will finish gossiping before bringing you your lukewarm food. They also try to clear plates before you're done. This place came highly recommended so we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival I was immediately seated, waiter came about 5 mins later. We settled on the mozzarella sticks, fried zucchini, and bruschetta cheese bread for appetizers. The bruschetta bread was very good, the mozzarella sticks average and the zucchini was okay batter was falling off so you basically were eating the batter and then the zucchini which was a little mushy..We then ordered the beef lasagna(really good) and the everything spaghetti which was amazing minus the meatballs they were ground just a little too much and lacked seasoning but the meat sauce was really good. She was kind, sweet and a hell of a server. She anticipated our needs and was just the best! They need many more of her! The food was great! It was Ok I guess. Just not what I expected from an "Italian" restaurant. The food wasn't seasoned properly, the bread was not Italian, the salads certainly weren't Italian either. Pretty much everything was bland and just didn't do anything for me. To be honest, I live in an area with genuine family owned Italian restaurants, so maybe I was just expecting too much. Do NOT spend your money here. These people are incredibly unprofessional. They will take your money, mess up your order, and then gaslight you and act like you're the problem. This is the second time I've had issues with this restaurant. Yesterday, my order had chicken added to it--something I never requested. I called the restaurant, and they blamed DoorDash. DoorDash told me it was a glitch. Fine, I let it go and moved on. Today, it got worse. I called to place another order and had to speak with the same manager who was extremely rude, nasty, and difficult to communicate with. (Not trying to be rude--just being honest.) She wasn't understanding anything I was asking, and instead of helping me, she kept trying to argue. I asked to speak to someone else, and eventually she transferred me to a male employee. I explained to him that I never got my refund from yesterday and that I just wanted to make sure everything was correct this time. I told him--not DoorDash--that I've had tons of issues with my orders over the past few months, ordering 2-3 times a day while I prepare for a move. I'm not the issue--the lack of quality and consistency is. The male employee apologized and promised to include a free drink with my order to make up for the inconvenience. Well, that never happened either. I was charged for the drink, and when my Dasher arrived, they flat out refused to give them my lobster pasta and my drink. So now, I've paid for items I never received. I called again to speak with the manager. She first offered me a gift card (that I'd have to pick up), then put me on hold for nearly 30 minutes--only to take the offer back. Meanwhile, I could hear staff in the background talking trash about me, calling me a liar, and claiming that I "always complain to get free food." That is a flat-out lie, and worse, it was the same person who told me earlier that my drink would be free and that my order would be correct. DoorDash never told them anything--I'm the one who explained the situation to him. Now he's twisting my words and talking about me behind my back? Unacceptable. This restaurant is spiteful, unprofessional, and dishonest. They stole my money, refused to give my Dasher the full order, and then gossiped about me while I was still on the phone. DoorDash won't refund me either, so I had to go through my bank. If you choose to eat here, pray your order is right, because if it's not--they won't fix it, they won't take accountability, and they'll talk about you behind your back. Do not eat here. Came for lunch with my sister and had a good experience! The restaurant is nice, with outdoor seating and the interior is a bit dim. Service was great and prompt, our food came out quickly. The garlic bread was fresh, hot, and delicious. For our entrees my sister ordered the chicken alfredo and I had the lasagna. Both dishes were good, the only thing is I tasted a bit too much of wine in my lasagna sauce. My sister loved the garlic in her alfredo and the richness of the sauce. There's a happy hour every week day from 3-6p with $4 glass of wine to take advantage of (I did happily) Service was adequate, not very chatty, but present to get refills and take orders. The decor is a little dated, but it's a family feel Italian that they're going for. The menu isn't gonna scream authentic Italian cuisine, but this American food truly. The food is mostly pasta based options. Menu is different styles of protein and sauce preparations in different combinations. Salads and pizzas are available too. Fresh garlic knots are provided to the table as well. Overall I think the price point is what I liked most here, the value for quality and portions is good, especially in a post BidInflation economy. Unfortunately the reality of the actual served food did not live up to the anticipation. I was so excited to try this place but be honest it was very mediocre and underwhelming. I see the potential of this restaurant but it's just not there and had a decent experience but not the best or the worst. This is a newer restaurant in The Woodlands area and I was quite excited to try it and I even saw the 4.1 star rating and thought it's probably going to be somewhere in the realm of an Olive Garden. Unfortunately it didn't connect with me and I was a little disappointed. This is a new location and looks quite pleasant on the outside and walking inside we were immediately greeted and brought to a table. I have been in construction and recognized the smell of fresh drywall which I could still vaguely smell in the dining area, as this is a very new construction. Everything was clean and as we sat in the booth we were then greeted by our server who was pleasant but also a little bit disconnected. We start off by ordering our drinks and an appetizer of the fried zucchini. There are also garlic bread rolls which took a while to come out and we're just very buttery almost croissant like bread rolls. The zucchini appetizers were good but it was a very small portion for what you pay for. It was about ten very small deep fried zucchini sticks, almost the size of mozzarella cheese fried sticks. They were good and fresh but it was the portion size was small. Next came our dinners that we ordered. We had ordered the fettuccine tortellini and also the sampler platter, as I wanted to get an idea of all their foods. The fettuccine tortellini was actually good, served in a nice fettuccine/garlicky sauce. The sampler platter was a different story, where it was three different types of Italian foods but just served in a gravy boat style dish all drowned in spaghetti sauce with cheese on top. I literally could not distinctively tell one type of Italian food from the other in it it ended up just being a giant soup bowl of glop. I was hoping they would be served on a plate in separate portions but that is not how they do it here. I was not keen on that and really disappointed to just eat a gravy bowl of slop. The service was good and the staff was very pleasant. The table tops were kept very clean and nice presentation. The overall atmosphere and Clinics of the restaurant was still in a very new stage and maintained well. Overall, I can only give the Adriatic Grill one thumbs up because although it was good service and nice ambience, the food presentation, portion sizes and quality was subpar. I probably won't be coming back here again and I cannot recommend this restaurant for an Italian dinner. The presentation and the quality just doesn't match the pricing. I was told it would be 15 to 20 minutes, but it ended up being almost 30 minutes. If there is a next time, then I may use the online ordering, so it won't take almost an hour to get our dinner. They brought our salads about 2 minutes before the entree, and quite a while after we've given our orders. We had pastas and pizzas, and definitely the pizzas were the winners. The pasta dishes came with a good portion of meat but the pasta tasted like the store bought type that you boil at home, and the dish could be served hotter. Very dark place especially if you're here for lunch. We've been to other locations and this one fell behind the others. The water tasted like bad tap water. Our waiter was pleasant but did not execute our order timely. Then, when we're just finishing up our meals, the busser started clearing the table, like she was in a hurry. After waiting half hour just to get our salads, it's unseemly of her to try to rush us off. In my opinion, this is a pizza joint at best, not an Italian restaurant. read more

I love the Adriatic Café!! I've been going there for years. The original one is in Jersey Village off of 290 and Jones Road. They've since expanded to Tomball, Spring, Katy and they are going to put a new one in the Woodlands. The garlic knots are probably some of the best I've had. Warm, soft and scrumptious. You can't put enough butter on these babies. They have a great selection of pasta, including protein options of chicken, seafood, meatballs, Bolognese and Italian sausage. The portions here are large and it's hard to eat the whole portion. The lasagna is definitely one to try. The calzones are very tasty as well. I personally like their pizza a lot and that's usually what I get, and the wife gets a the pasta. They have a nice variety of standard pizza toppings along with specialty pizzas on the menu. The crust is a hand tossed type pizza not too thick not too thin with a great marinara sauce, and always cooked perfectly. They put plenty of toppings, and of course plenty of cheese, which is a necessity. There's always enough pizza left over ( I order a large) to take the rest home to enjoy later. I'll eat it for breakfast, lunch or dinner; I don't care. When the Adriatic Café opens in the Woodlands, you can bet that I will be there regularly! read more
