Let me preface this review and say Tony's is my favorite restaurant in Houston. When I saw my options in terminal D I was excited to see "Tony's" on the list! What an extreme disappointment...I can't even understand how Tony could put his name on the restaurant, may god rest his soul. McDonald's is better than this place, I only have them 1 star because the bar service was pretty good. The food was atrocious!! Only two actual Italian items on the menu, so I ordered the wings first, they came out cold and I could tell they were microwaved . Next I ordered the sliders..again . Do yourself a favor and eat before you travel if you are leaving from terminal D. I will be emailing Tony's to let them know they should be ashamed of themselves. read more

It was surprising that Terminal D of Houston Intercontinental airport only has 2 restaurants to serve all the international departing clients. CONS: the $20 Kobe sliders were so sad looking & taste so bland! I had to try to improve it by adding some ketchup & lettuce leaves from my husband's dish. Bread needed to be improved as well as the taste & presentation. Tony, I hope this gets your attention! read more

Like most airport bars, overpriced, but you get served very small drinks in a plastic cup. Does not matter if it's a mixed drink or wine, plastic cup is all you get. You get a beer in a bigger plastic cup. I was expecting more from a "Wine cellar and Bar". Find another place before you get to your gate!!! read more

I just wanted to drink with my friend Jack Daniels, before the whiskey cokes on the plane. I am not one to run late, and I don't run early usually, but I'm the timely kind-of gal. It was 45 min to boarding and I like being the last one to board no matter what section I am in. I thought that's plenty of time for a "FEW" drinks. I sat down and waited. And waited. And waited. Then I waited some more. I kept looking at my phone for the time as it started to hit 30 min till boarding, 20 min till boarding, 15 minutes till... Finally I order my drink and ask for my tab at the same time. I slurp that drink down standing up and signing my receipt. In all it worked out I got to the boarding line just outside, everyone was gone. As I approached "Ms. Chavez am I correct?" Let my vacation begin! Ignore that I just overpaid, and tipped for terrible service and a coke!! (where was the alcohol?) On the bright side looking forward to my whiskey and coke on the long plane ride! read more

So I'm going to buck the trend here and say that for, airport restaurants, this place wasn't bad. A few caveats... I did not order alcohol so can't comment on that, and it was not very full when I went. I sat at the bar and ordered a cobb salad. The price was the most reasonable I had seen in the airport... we were delayed and I had already eaten at another restaurant, and paid $35 for less food than I got here for $17. The chicken was right off the grill, it had two eggs, generous portions of bacon, ham and cheese. I was actually impressed with the salad, and decided to give a review before I left. They took my order within one minute of sitting and my salad was out in about 5 minutes from when I ordered it. The girls working that day seemed a bit frazzled and scattered, so I could see how if this place got hopping if it were just them they might struggle, but they were pleasant and at 50% of capacity they were able to keep up. I actually did watch them prepare a few drinks. The pours seemed appropriate and they knew how to make the basics. My biggest complaint was that the counter and tables did not seem to be getting cleaned as much as needed. If not for that, I would have given 4 stars. One of my better airport food experiences, but my typical is not much to speak of. read more

Drinks only at 8. They offered a sample wine before buying. Comfy seating, and some outlets are available. TV is by the bar. Plenty of space for sitting with your electronic gadgets or visiting with family and friends. Salt and pepper made me hungry. They look like eggs. You can hear your flight getting called without leaving your seat. They do not have sweet wine. Sparkling Italian preseco is semi dry. Do not get confused with lighter version. Also offer some mix drinks which are not listed on menu. They will bring you your bill and you slide your card to approve. It was a smooth process. Two drinks right under $25. Hopefully next time there is food. read more

I was there around 4 on a Saturday afternoon. The place was empty except for two women sharing a table. After standing around for some time, feeling like an idiot, one of the women got up from the table and came over to assist a couple that was also standing there. She seated them, took their order, and returned to the table she was sitting at before. I decided to help myself to a table. The same woman eventually came back for my order. I ordered the ultimate salad. It was awful. The dressing looked and tasted like it had all been dumped in one place on the salad. Most of the lettuce was wilted and,looked like it had been sitting in dressing from the night before. There really isn't anything nice I can say about Tony's. Arrived sat around 3pm where the restaurant was at about half capacity. The restaurant is a nice setting despite being in the d terminal of iah. The decor is modern and comfortable and the tvs are well situated for most seats. The liqueur and wine selection is good especially for an airport restaurant. The service however was slow even though the restaurant wasn't full. Took about 10 mins for the waitress to recognize me and 5 more for her to take my order. The food took about another 15 mins to come out which was ok but not great if you need a quick bite. I had the club sandwich which was good. Good quality bread, cheese and bacon for the price range less than 20 dollars. Pros: Atmosphere is nice for a relaxing meal if you have the time Good liquor and wine selection Food variety is fine with many basic choices such as salads and sandwiches Food was on par with ambience and cost Cons: Service is too slow especially for being in the airport read more

I sent corporate the following email. Never heard from them. No wonder why the staff is rude and unprofessional. This morning I wanted to have breakfast at the airport location. The time was approximately 8:15 am. There were two women running the front of the house. I approached the counter to order breakfast.  After placing my order, I handed a $100.00 dollar bill and your manager ( I assume she was) just stared at me and in a very condensing way told she had no change. I insisted and she refused. I rolled my eyes and  I was going to pay with my credit card and she REFUSED to give me any further service. She was annoyed and she screamed in the middle of everyone. She said was not going to serve anyone with an attitude and refused service. Are you kidding me??? Who is she? A school teacher? A principal? Are you kidding me? My 6 year old was waiting to have breakfast and your manager refused to provide any service. The restaurant was packed. The tables were filthy. I saw a lot of people sitting in the bar who have been waiting for ever place their order. Employees like her with poor judgment, with no sense of customer service make you lose business.  She was disrespectful and on a power trip. She is running your location without any sense of management or customer service. read more

If you're at GBI Internatl and you want food, RUN from Tony's. This was unquestionably the worst service I have had anywhere. The server, Carol, was abysmal--messed up orders, blamed the kitchen, blamed the customers, blamed the computer, blamed the weather. In spite of "forgetting" the orders of everyone around me, she was rude and told people they had not ordered what I heard them ordered. I would pay to give Tony's negative star. read more

Completely unacceptable. Rude staff. Over the top rude bartender who claims to be the manager. Watched her tell person after person "your going to have to wait". I'll get to you in a minute. Asked how long for a club sandwich, literally said How would I know. I asked why was she so rude and she responded with "You have not seen rude yet". I asked for a manage and she said "I am the manager. You can leave". Worst place in the airport. Wouldn't eat there if the food was free. read more
