Here at the Breakfast Klub, we came around 2PM on a Tuesday and there was only one server and one bartender. Although the team was short the service wasn't bad. We ordered their seasonal monster mash but it wasn't at all strong, cute simple drink to say the least. Then we ordered their famous chicken wings and waffles and French toast. The waffles and French toast came with butter and syrup and was nice, fluffy, hot and soft! Sooo delicious. Their wings wasn't too seasoned, didn't taste the gunk most chicken have and it tastes freshly fried.. the wait time was about 15min or so. The drinks are a bit pricey but it's the airport and I don't expect anything less. Music was nice and not too loud overlooking the Delta and Alaska planes. We were also near a jazz band for added music! There are booths, bar tables, bar seats and tables available for your comfort. read more

Server very attentive, nice seating area where you could see the planes landing and taking off. Take a seat and order by QR code. They had trouble getting my cocktail to me. Three tries to get the $26 cocktail that was missing a few things. Food was just ok. Eggs were very overcooked to the point it had an off-putting taste. read more

i feel like airport diners get to over charge and underperform. because i've visited the breakfast klub in the city, of course i want to stop by the airport extension. the service was fast and friendly, the food was just underwhelming. i always like to have a glass of wine before getting on the plane, and i love watching the planes.. so the ambiance was nice. maybe it was an off day, but hopefully if you visit everything is to your liking safe travels read more

Whenever you are venturing into eating at the airport, it's an adventure all of its own. I had exactly an hour until it was time to board my flight. I stopped here because breakfast wins anytime of day. I wanted the catfish and grits however they were cleaning the oil so it would take more time than I had. I ended up eating food I had no business eating lol. It was good though. The mimosa was good too. It was like a diner feel inside of an airport. The server was polite and apologetic for not being able to serve the catfish. I would go again. read more

Once you've been to one Breakfast Klub, you've pretty much experienced them all--but this airport location (somewhere in Bush Intercontinental Airport, terminal slipping my mind) still delivered exactly what I needed before a flight. I ordered the pineapple-mint mimosa and the waffle plate with eggs and bacon. The flavors were familiar in the best way: classic, comforting, and consistently good. Like most airport spots, prices run a bit higher than the downtown Houston location, but the quality holds up. The service was surprisingly attentive for an airport restaurant. My server understood the rush of travelers trying to make flights and made sure everything came out quickly and smoothly. Overall, it was a solid, satisfying stop while I waited to board--good food, good vibes, and a reliable choice before heading to your next destination. read more

The best part is the number of vegan options they carry and will accommodate if you need anything more- if feasible of course. its great for groups, slightly in the upscale side, prices is comparable and service is quick. They even have vegan bacon and vegan scrambled eggs, I stuck to my avocado toast though. It was good and filling read more

Love the great flavor and fast service. A Houston staple without the Houston traffic. Stopped in for breakfast before my trip. I ordered the chicken and waffles to go. Took roughly 11-15 min. Waffle was fluffy and sweet chicken fried and seasoned well. read more

Caught a craving during my layover at IAH and decided to try The Breakfast Klub--yes, the same one Houstonians rave about, now conveniently inside the airport. I had high hopes... and a flight to catch. I ordered the famous Katfish & grits combo. The Katfish came out hot and crisp, just how I like it. While the texture was on point, I do wish it had a bit more seasoning--it leaned more on the mild side. The grits, though? Buttery, smooth, and comforting--exactly what I needed at 9AM in Terminal A. The breakfast potatoes were also a win--crispy edges, soft centers, and seasoned just right. Now let's talk drinks--I treated myself to a glass of Prosecco, which came out to $20. A little steep for airport bubbles, but hey, sometimes layovers call for champagne decisions. Service was quick, and staff were friendly despite the morning rush. But like most airport dining, everything came with that travel-day price tag--so just know you're paying for convenience and calories. read more

The Breakfast Klub - Katfish and grits - Southern Near Me - Houston, Texas

This restaurant is located in Terminal A in IAH airport and is very much on par with the original location in Houston. The restaurant is open with plenty of seating with colorful decor, and you just walk in and find your own seat. You order by scanning a QR code. I was slightly disappointed because there was no fruit or sourdough available, so I decided to order the toast. The waitress was super friendly and she promptly bought us water. The katfish was seasoned well and expertly fried. The grits were buttery and delicious. The potatoes were a little mushy and greasy. The waitress forgot my toast, but the portions were so big that I didn't ask. The chicken and waffles were exactly like the original location. The wings are ginormous and perfectly seasoned and crispy. The waffle was flavorful with a great texture. I wish that the butter was either room temp or whipped because it was very difficult to spread. My diagnosis: this is a must try chicken and waffles spot if you are flying out of Terminal A in IAH read more

Flying out of Terminal A at IAH airport in Houston, TX? There are a few local food options popular among Houstonians, and The Breakfast Klub is one of them. To be honest, I was a bit surprised by the low ratings on Yelp for this location, but decided to give it a try since it was 7:30 am (9 am Alaska Airlines flight) and I felt like Jack In the Box tacos would probably mess me up. I gotta say, the food was excellent and just as good as the OG downtown location. The chicken wings were piping hot, crispy, and decently seasoned (I actually think they could use a little more flavor, so I add hot sauce). The waffles were excellent and go well with the chicken. I'm not a huge fan of the butter which is served cold and hard to spread without tearing up the waffles. The platter is way too much food for one person (that's a good thing) but it's also very expensive to make up for it. I think my breakfast was over $30 after tax and tip. Maybe not the best value, but if you haven't tried this place, you really should. There is ample seating and it's kept generally clean. We were seated immediately and it wasn't full on a Wednesday morning at the start of summer vacations. Service was good. Staff are nice and food came out after 20 minutes of ordering. If you're in a super rush trying to catch a flight, you may want to think twice before placing an order here. Enjoy! read more

4.3. Black-owned. If you're looking for a breakfast spot that truly lives up to the hype, The Breakfast Klub delivers--and then some. Their chicken and waffles are, without question, among the best I've ever had. The waffle is golden and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside, with just the right touch of sweetness. But the star is the chicken: perfectly seasoned, fried to a crispy finish, and so juicy it practically melts in your mouth. The staff are friendly and service is made to order so be prepared for a 20 minute or more wait when busy. Even better, the portion sizes are generous and satisfying without being overwhelming. With The B.K. being a Houston staple, glad they landed at the airport. So excited for their growth and expansion. Take home message: if you have time to spare, at least 45 minutes, a stop at The Breakfast Klub is a must-visit for any chicken and waffle lover. read more

recently had a layover at the Houston airport (IAH/HOU) and was so happy to find The Breakfast Klub! This place is a gem, even in the sometimes-chaotic airport environment. It was exactly what I needed to start my travel day off right. I ordered the pancakes and bacon with a side of their famous "Wings & Waffles" French toast (a little twist on their signature item) and everything was absolutely delicious. The pancakes were light, fluffy, and perfectly cooked, and the bacon was crisp and flavorful. But the French toast... wow! It was rich and had that wonderful savory-sweet balance. Seriously some of the best airport food I've ever had. The service was also quick and super friendly, which is essential when you're trying to catch a flight. It's great to see a local favorite like this representing Houston in the airport. If you're flying through and looking for an amazing, filling, and soul-satisfying breakfast, do yourself a favor and stop at The Breakfast Klub! You won't regret it. Five stars! read more

There's a harmful stereotype in the service industry that Black Americans don't tip. Unfortunately, that bias was on full display during my visit. My server was inattentive, my food arrived much later than others who were seated after me, and simple requests like a coffee refill were treated as afterthoughts, especially in contrast to how other guests were served. I experienced the very bias they assumed and sadly, I responded in kind, leaving no tip. read more

Airport food so didn't have much expectations but service was fast and the food was decent. Got the veggie omelet with a biscuit and potatoes. There was a long flight so we loaded up and headed to the bK for a bite to eat, it was a large group so it took a while for the food to come. The restaurant was packed but there was plenty of room for 20 of us. We ate fish/grits, wings/waffles, breakfast Klub sandwiches, pancakes and eggs just to name a few. When it came out they understood the assignment and we ate well needless to say. They were well prepared for a crowd and we put them to the challenge. Service with a smile. They have the QR code system to order. Service 10/10 read more

Amazing place for an airport.. also amazing for anywhere. Maybe the best chicken and waffles I've had. I can only think of one other place that was as good. I ordered the chicken and grits and a side of "homemade pan sausage" .. Chicken was cool. Eggs were dry and had a layer of shredded cheddar cheese that I did not enjoy at all. Sausage was a basic patty that McDonald's serves, not homemade at all. Grits were not good. Service was decent but I would not return. read more

Didn't have time to stop at the actual location so had to settle for the airport location! Service was good, I sat at the bar so you can either scan the QR code or order with the waitress. Food didn't take long to come out maybe 15mins. Nice view of a he tarmac. Breakfast was good! Omelette was delicious and filling. Breakfast was moist and buttery without the addition of butter. I've definitely had better grits though, but they weren't horrible. read more

We came to eat here as a group of 6 since it was recommend by some Airport employees as a good breakfast spot.one of the dish that was order contain scramble eggs and to a surprise it was a long black hair cook with it, the dish was taken to the manager which she look like it didn't matter to her and a waitress standing next to her was laughing about. Manager came later to "apologize" and said " the chef is African American and has no hair and the person that tap him out for his break is also African American and not hair either" WTF serisouly why does that even matter. I would like to give an abundance of appreciation to the excellent service of Rekeria B on 03/24/26. The food was very good. The ambiance was peaceful. I must say when we arrived the server had an attitude and so did the bartender and his drinks were horrible but when Rekeria B, Eduardo, and Devyn (new bartender) came onto their shift it was a change in the atmosphere, everything got better!! I would come back just for them...the "A" team. When you've had a day (morning/afternoon) from hell in the airport the last thing you want to deal with is an attitude. read more

The Breakfast Klub at the airport was absolutely disgusting today. The food took over 40 minutes to come out, and when it finally arrived, it was cold. The bacon was burnt, the grits were cold, the potatoes were old and dried up, and the biscuit was hard. I sent my plate back and waited another 10 minutes, only to be given more cold, mediocre food. There were only about six tables occupied, yet no one had their food and everyone seemed to be waiting 20 minutes or more. To make matters worse, there were flies around the dining area. For a breakfast that cost over $25, this experience was completely unacceptable. Thankfully, I had extra time before my flight, but I definitely will not be returning. read more

I am sitting with my breakfast now . Cold eggs may have been made yesterday, biscuit was flat & cold, bacon - just OK. Cheese grits is a side of cheese, not melted into the grits. There is no waitress, order and pay by phone, tip is auto charged. Since there is no waitress, who gets that tip? No hostess any more. Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice- shame on me. Though I have eaten here before scores of times. This is my last time here. Place has gone down with prices going up. With the auto-added tip for the non existent server I was charged almost $60 for perhaps the worst meal ever. read more

Food was great. Service was terrible. I waited 20 minutes for a shot of vodka... had to go to the bar myself to ask for them to make it. Made me move from my seat at the bar so they could clean early. Waitress was very nice. Bartender was very passive aggressive and rude. His name is Johnny and he never even came to my side of the bar. When I got his attention I nicely asked for my drink to which he said we're closed. I pointed to the ticket machine where my ticket had been sitting for 20 minutes. He rolled his eyes and made the drink and then asked me to move so he could clean. Will not be sitting here next time I come to fly. Especially if he is behind the bar. read more

Terrible. I had a narrow window between connecting flights. Arrived and sat at the bar. Used the "QR Code system"'to order a Bloody Mary for $22.50. The waitress never acknowledged me, started serving people who arrived after me directly from the bar and my drink never arrived and I ran out of time and had to leave. Omg. How did I NOT know Breakfast Klub was at IAH airport. Clearly I never fly out of terminal A. As soon as I made it through security check, I looked up & bam there it was. I had to look at the menu to make sure this restaurant was truly the same well known Houston Breakfast Klub in Midtown that always has a line out the door. The katfish & grits and wings & waffles confirmed it. I absolutely wasn't hungry because I had a small breakfast at home but it's Breakfast Klub so how could I pass it. I ordered a side of French toast & side of grits. I had to order from the togo menu to get those to show on the menu. The QR code menu at the table did not display those as an ala cart option. I paid as much as a ordering a menu platter but I got exactly what I wanted. Can I say my taste buds were doing the happy dance!! That French toast had me doing my "yum yum" hum (only happens when the food is oh so right!). It was buttery & I didn't add any extra butter & just the right consistency not too hard, not too soft, not to thick, not too eggy. Omg. It was just darn good!! I wasn't going to eat it all since I had already eaten but you cant save French toast so I killed it all! Grits were good also but the French toast was just perfect for my liking. I haven't been to the original Breakfast Klub location in so long. It's nice to know the food is still on point & I can get it at the airport. My experience was a togo order. It came out quickly in a nice sturdy box. The box stayed in tact even with syrup in it. This location has a decent size sit down eating area, self serve ordering from a QR code (but a server delivers food to table), and a full bar. If you find yourself in terminal A (on the lower number A gates side) & have the time, pop in & treat yourself. read more

Have you ever had food poisoning in an airport? I have! I think it was the eggs. My girlfriend and I both ate the eggs. Like I had to throw away my shirt and pillow because they were so gross. Then, I proceeded to throw up IN THE PLANE. ALL OVER THE BATHROOM. This was not normal throw up, mind you. This was projectile. Like easily could go 3+ feet. What did it look like, you may ask? Eggs. So. Much. Egg. I will die before going into this place again read more

3.2* It was totally unexpected to see a location in the airport. But it was decent for airport choices. Flavorful for sure, but the waffle could have been alil softer & the chicken could have been a lil on the lighter side (golden brown preferred).. Staff was just getting started for the morning shift. Everyone stayed in the back, but someone came out to take my order promptly. Food came out fairly quickly. I am not, but if u are in favor of scanning a QR code, that's also an option. I have never in my life used an ordering system that was more infuriating. The website doesn't load, freezes at random times, and makes it overall incredibly challenging to order. They are in desperate need of a different online ordering system, this one is awful. The music was really loud when we were there as well, which was frustrating for me. I had my noise cancelling headphones on and could still hear the music in detail. The plus is that it does look out over the tarmac, and I love watching the planes land and take off. Service wasn't great, everything felt like an afterthought. And the portions (especially for the price) were pretty disappointing, and the food was overall bland.
