A decent meal for an airport restaurant. They have a long bar you can sit at and relax for a bit. They have a several outlets all along the bar to charge your electronics while you eat. There is an extensive bar list. You can order via the website or through the staff. I ordered the buttermilk fried chicken sandwich. It was a large sandwich and had a lot of flavor. Very filling. I also got a side of fries (doesn't come with the sandwiches). They were really tasty. Took my Wife on a Get-Away-Cruise from Miami and on our return we flew into George Bush Intercontinental Airport and connected on our flight in Concourse 'C'. We had two hours before the next flight. After walking for 200 miles (it seemed) in the Airport Mall (it seemed like one and it's big), we found our gate. We were also a little hungry and saw a Burger Bar place right across from our gate. It's called "H Burger Bar" (concourse 'C', near gate 35) and they do have Hamburgers and it is a Bar with Beer & Liquor - and that's just what we want. It's also a Very Looooooooong Bar and we took a seat (actually two seats). Guy named Ronald (great name) came over, introduced himself (that's how I found out his name) and we ordered some Beers - Miller Lite for my Wife and a Blue Moon Draft for me. We chatted for a while because there were not a lot of people presently at the Bar. One of the Chefs (Davis) also came over and explained some of the Menu to us and a lot about H Burger Bar. While we were trying to decide what to order we enjoyed those Cold Beers - Anyway, after some time we decided to split one of their Burgers. Chose the 'Mushroom Swiss' Burger and it's gonna be a Double. They are Half Pound Patties and we have Two of them - with Mushrooms & Swiss Cheese and lots of other good stuff - one of my Favorites. Chef Davis made it to Perfection and it was a Beautiful Presentation of a Really Large Burger - and he sliced it into for us to enjoy. We both LOVED this Burger. Don't know what they do to their Patties but it was Very Flavorful and Juicy. (note: pictures came out actually redder than it was - but it was grilled Med-Rare Perfectly for us). My Wife and I cannot get over how Flavorful this Mushroom Swiss Burger and it melted in your mouth-liciously - very tasty Mushrooms. They also provided us with forks & spoons to eat this thing with - it's kind of messy in a Very Good Way. This is actually one of the Best Burgers you will ever have - unfortunately it's in the Houston area and we live in San Angelo. If you are ever in Concourse 'C' at George Bush Intercontinental Airport, ya gotta stop in - have a Beer and a Burger - they go hand in hand - one in each hand. But I remind you, this Burger is Really Big. My Wife and I LOVE BURGERS and We Love 'H Burger Bar'. When we finished enjoying this Monster Delicious Burger, we chatted some more with Ronald (great name) and Chef Davis. This place is open several hours a day, every day, so they might not be here when you are - but ya gotta go and give them a try - when your in George Bush Intercontinental Airport, Concourse 'C' that is - They both, Ronald (great name) and Chef Davis both earned the "Dollar-Bow-Tie" Award. They both are really great guys - glad we stopped in. My Wife and I made our flight and arrived early in San Antonio. Picked up our 'Ranger' right where I left it - and drove home. Food was pretty good! I had a burger and fries. Nothing super crazy, but good nonetheless. Service was also pretty good for how busy it was! Poor bartender was by herself but held it down really well. I ordered a mimosa and it came in a huge glass filled to the brim! I got my own mega pint! I loved it considering the price was around $18 for one. I decided to order another one as I was celebrating an achievement, and was super bummed when a normal sized one came out. I'm a stickler for customer service. Normally, and I'm in terminal C every week, at any given time, one can sit at the stool at 5am and drink a quiet cup of coffee, with out needing any help. So when the waitress approached me and asked if I needed anything (help with ordering) and I said no thank you; I was asked to leave and sit at my gate. After perusing Yelp for the least-bad airport food near my terminal at the airport, I decided to go for H-Burger right across from my gate! Although they serve food and drinks, it is strictly a bar-top with no real tables, right across from gate 41 in terminal C. Like most of the bars and restaurants at the Houston airport, you ordered with an iPad for your order. Even though you use the iPad, the servers were more than happy to help and explain how it works to everyone. Most of the burgers come with two patties which I thought seemed a bit unecessary, but I totally went for it and ended up ordering their burger of the day, which had two patties, cheddar cheese, pulled pork, bacon, and a fried egg! It was large and I only could eat about half. It tasted good for an airport burger, though the burger was a bit overcooked and the pork was pretty salty. Still, I enjoyed it for what it was. I also ordered a side of tots and let me tell you, they are definitely enough to share! They were yummy and crispy, just a very large portion. More bang for your buck! I enjoyed eating here and the food was mediocre. That being said, it was pretty good for an airport restaurant - you can't expect 5-start here! It is airport food so expectations are already low. The food was fine, but the service was lacking. One waitress was quite rude and could care less about the people. Older dude with salt and pepper hair and beard is extremely and not attentive. First I try order 2 shots and ginger ale from the female bartender and the other male bartender stops her and tell her to stop and finish making her other drinks, then continues to scold the woman in front of the entire bar for like 2 minutes. Extremely awkward, this male bartender with a beard and salt&pepper hair take my order. I order 2 shots of jack and ginger ale (I could've said double whiskey ginger but this time I didn't) he asked if I want them together or on the side. I replied together, he then stops and tells me "buddy u need to learn how to order a drink" lmao I say nothing but ok in response ignoring his out of pocket comment. He then goes to make the drink and pours Jameson....dude is rude and doesn't pay attention to his work. He denied pouring the Jameson even tho he made the drink literally 5 feet away from me which I literally watched. My flight was just about to board so I didn't have time for this dude to make a new drink plus if he can't make such a simple cocktail right the first time I doubt he will the 2nd time. Stopped by this bar for drinks and was disappointing. It's a well known fact airport food and drinks are a little pricier but if I'm paying for it I expect it to be right. The consumer service wasn't the best I ordered a strawberry mojito (up charge for strawberry) to be told there wasn't any mint for a mojito so he'd make me a strawberry margarita instead. He comes back after I've paid for the drink with a basic margarita saying we don't have strawberry after recommending strawberry to me. He then says he can get me an orange flavor so I agree since I'd rather not have a regular margarita. He comes back with the plain margarita and a cup of syrup and tries to hand it to me. I guess my face looked confused so he asked if he wanted me to mix it which I said yes because obviously the cup was too small for me to do it myself..... the drink ended up being so underwhelming I could barely taste the tequila wish we would of went elsewhere. read more

The order process was just AWFUL!!! Took way too much time, especially for an airport. Waitress had to reach WAY across to try and hand food. Sitting at a counter for 40 minutes didn't see once where the counter had been wiped. I had to clean the area where I sat, if used cup and utensil. My companions chicken arrived cold and she still has not received a refund although told she could have one although manager had to approve one. No manager has shown up. H-Burger in IAH Terminal C had one of the better burgers I've had in a long time. It's also one of the most unique dining experiences in a cool, futuristic way. It was as if Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg teamed up and opened a restaurant! Ordering is done by the tablet located at your seat, complete with charging outlets and a credit card swiper. You can also elect to pay with United miles! After ordering your food, you can use the tablet to surf various websites or play games. That's anti-social and bad for real human connection, so I was glad to chat with my work buddy instead! The Kimchee burger (medium) was outstanding - half pound juicy patty that held its shape with a warm buttery bun and a thick layer of kimchi. The pickled, spicy nature of Kimchi really helps cut the richness of the burger and melted white cheddar. They also have a decent-sized bar and beer selections. The Karbach Weekend Warrior Draft was a whopping 24-oz of caramel-citrus goodness. Great way to wash down that burger! I fly a lot and I love when I get to C gates, that way I can enjoy a good breakfast. The staff is always welcoming and remembers you. I really enjoyed my meal and the service. I had the Houston burger and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned and came out at the right temperature. They make a great iced tea and I even got some in a to go cup for my plane ride home. My food came out fast. The ordering process on tablets is a little clunky as the pages are so busy and it's hard to know how if you added soemthing to you order by mistake when trying to find out the details of the menu item. I also had the fries and my wife said they was very good. My wife had the chicken Cesar salad the portion was large enough and she enjoyed the cool crispy salad. This is probably one of the worst restaurant concept, where you lose the contact with the waitress and people working there. I won't judge the food, which for me was so so. I have a too salty burger (the H), with a lake of colors or healthy looking foods. I ordered the chips with it. Thinking it was a fancy name for french fries. No they serve you a real chips bag. That i finally didn't want. And here start the problem. You can't bring it back throught the app, sme as asking mayonnaise. You can't ask a focking machine to do so! Was very uncertain about where to get some food on my layover in Houston. I saw this place across from my gate and thought why not. Waited for a seat to open up and the area to get cleaned. Almost immediately I was greeted by a friendly smile, Gabriela. While reviewing the menu and the prices which seemed a bit steep. I actually almost went somewhere else. Gabriela looked at me and asked if I was ok and needed something?? Without even hesitating she said you should enjoy our BBQ Fries. You get a big portion and it's super good. The most bang for your buck. It didn't take much time for the food to come out. And she was right. It was a good size portion and very flavorful. Gabriela and the rest of her coworkers were very enthusiastic and provided a warm and happy atmosphere. Although the prices seemed a bit on the high side. But for a fast paced surrounding, it was an engaging spot with good conversations with the staff as well as the other fellow patrons looking for a quick bite and/or a great margarita. read more

I stopped here between flights ordered a coffee and a lemonade. The server, Gabriella, told me she just threw out the coffee. I asked her to make a fresh pot and she said "What? You want me to make a pot of coffee for only one cup?" I asked to see a manager who arrived and was as equally condescending and unconcerned. The coffee I eventually received was stale and certainly not a fresh pot. Shame on the food service vendor for the lack of customer service they expect and train.
