I am a bookworm and have been wanting to try out this spot for a while. Loved the decor and the vibe. Staff was very friendly and gave us good recommendations. We tried a couple of flatbreads with our wine and they were delicious. I look forward to coming back.

I've wanted to visit The Library since I heard about it and finally I had the chance. This place is so cute. As a librarian I was confused by the books at first but then my friend and I understood which made it even more fascinating. The staff was nice and helpful. I do wish they had a Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand, but outside of that we had a great time as we only came for one drink and then left. I can't wait to go back and try some of their light bites and other wine.

Such a fun place to meet up with friends. We had a charcuterie board, flatbreads, and dessert. Everything was so good!

the service was very attentive and helpful.the wine was nice and flavorful. what really makes this location is the ambiance. the library set up and dedication to it is really special. getting the receipt in the old style of checking out books is a nice touch as well. it's a fun place to drink and chit chat with friends.

I really enjoyed my first visit here! From the moment I walked in, I instantly fell in love with the aesthetics of the place!! It's such a cozy and inviting spot to sip wine, read a book, or even chat with friends. My friend and I were lucky enough to grab the only two available booths, which made me so happy. Once we sat down, the staff promptly brought us menus, giving us plenty of time to look over everything. I loved that we were able to create our own boards and choose our own meats and cheeses. Their selection was both unique and delicious, especially the fennel salami, which was definitely a fav! We also ordered the sardines, and they ended up being my absolute favorite dish of the night. I haven't stopped thinking about it!! To pair with our food, I had a sparkling rosé, which I highly recommend for anyone who enjoys bubbles!! It was crisp, refreshing, and complemented everything so perfectly. For dessert, we went with a simple Neapolitan gelato (you can also choose the flavors separately). It was decent, though nothing extraordinary... I'll probably try a different dessert next time. Overall, I definitely recommend visiting this spot! The servers were incredibly friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations, especially for those who are new to wine. I can't wait to come back again soon!

What a beautiful gem tucked away in the Spring Branch neighborhood! It takes the corner spot and shares the plaza with a claw machine place and a few other places! Pros: love the ambience, the vibes, the wall of wine selections and the cozy rounded booths and an upscale "Central Perk" coffee shop feel! Absolutely loved the comfy lounge seating and extensive menu! Service was good, not great. Cons: food menu! I feel like it could use a few more appetizers...IMO...also, we ordered the bar nuts and the fig flatbread with basil pesto...I could def use more pesto! It was a bit on the drier side for me and I wish it had more depth and crispiness to it!!! Parking can be tight, I think...but overall, I had a great experience!

Came here on 2 occasions - once for wine and once to also try their food. The service here is very friendly - staff will go out of their way to make your visit comfortable and pleasant. The wines here are fantastic, and I enjoyed their burrata dish as well as their cheese and charcuterie board. We did the "pick 6" option, and there's an array of cheeses and meats to select from. I thought the portion was a bit on the small side for the cheeses and meats, but they were tasty. The vibe is unique and chic. There are couches with low tables, standard tables, and booths. There is plenty of parking in the lot to the left of the bar.

Very cute place!! Stopped by during Valentine's Day and it was very cozy and intimate inside. I have seen this place on tiktok so I couldn't wait to try this place out. I ordered the margherita flatbread and added prosciutto to it and omg.. it was SO good!! Very flavorful, crispy, and the prosciutto elevated the whole thing so much. I literally ate almost the whole thing by myself lol. As for drinks, I got the Oka "Sansho Yuzu" Japanese Bermutto. My mistake seeing "yuzu" thinking it was going to taste like citrus but all I could taste was the vermouth. It wasn't my favorite type of drink but I am glad that I tried it. My friend got the Lillet Rose Spritz and this was really good! Not too sweet, not too strong, very cute drink. I don't remember our server's name but she was very nice and attentive. She would check in on us to make sure we needed water and if the drinks/food was to our liking. I can definitely see myself coming back as this was a very cute spot to bring some friends or even go on a date!

I regret not coming to The Library sooner. I've been eyeing it for a while, but was hesitant go by myself. Well, a friend of mine came to visit me and we decided to stop by. So glad we did! I absolutely love the old book shop feel. It's a small, cozy bar located in the Spring Branch community. Very chill vibe for a small group, date, or solo. They have an entire book of wine choices. They also have light bites that include flatbreads, salads, and charcuterie boards. Our server was nice and knowledgeable of the various wines. I told him I wanted a red wine and he asked me key questions to help me figure out just what I wanted. His recommendation was good! Just do not remember the name. We decided to order flatbreads, the smoked salmon was really good! There's a small outside patio with additional seating. I definitely return.

We joined some friends for a pre-dinner glass of wine. This is a lovely spot with charming ambience & books stacked around the booths on the back wall. We jetted off to dinner while our friends stayed to enjoy flatbread pizza - they said it was great. Very close to Tatemo, Well Done Cooking & Barney's and a few more spots.

Great new wine spot in East Spring Branch
    Mark G.

I'm so happy to have this local, East Spring Branch wine bar in the neighborhood. There is literally a book of bottle options and a deep by the glass list accompanied by a Sommelier's by the glass list. The service is friendly, approachable and knowledgeable. You can't go wrong with one of their recommendations. There are a small number of food options and everything I've tried has been good. Give this group a try for after work, date night or an evening with friends.

Such a quaint and fun place! The staff is very knowledgeable and the food is delicious. Im still amazed by the selection of wines this place has considering its size but man the pack them in! I look forward to more trips to the library!

Amazed by the wine selection. Vernon picked a great red for us in our price range. He and other staff were engaging and knowledgeable. Other guests were friendly without being all in you business.

The grilled summer squash was cooked well, and I could tell based on texture and crunch. The mojo verde sauce vizcaina had some smokiness to it, but it was sweet. Favorite thing about this dish was the flavorful crust of the fish that shined through. The presentation was good with the microgreens, coriander, and onions adding color. Overall, thought this dish was good, but it didn't wow me. Dessert was AMAZING!! The dessert was a chocolate entremet (flourless biscuit, raspberry, guayaquil mousse). The guayaquil mousse uses Cacao Barry Extra-Bitter Guayaquil 64% couvetere dark chocolate. The raspberry sorbet had a tartness to it and the presentation was enhanced by the crushed up chocolate under it. It was balanced with the mousse that was sweet but not overly sweet because of the cacao. The flourless biscuit was moist, reminding of a delicious chocolate cake. Two coffee molds were placed delicately leaning on the side and on top of the dessert. There were dried raspberry pieces on the dessert as well, adding hints of tartness if you taste it by itself but subtly hidden if you taste the dessert together. Excellent dessert, my regards to the pastry chef Daniela. Best part of the menu and this is what carried the 5-star review. Parking: Complimentary Valet

Eat, Drink, HTX…read more Made a reservation for a Sunday night dinner for three. The restaurant is so cute and cozy with tables and booths. Lots of TVs to watch the Olympic Games while you wait for dinner. I liked watching the open pizza oven. They make a lot of pizzas here. The Eat, Drink, HTX menus are a great way to try new restaurants while giving back to the Houston Food Bank. A starter, an entree and a dessert. $25 for dinner. So many choices on this menu. A great deal while helping out those in need. "Started" with the Turkey Samosas. Four crispy pastries that are filled with seasoned ground turkey, potatoes and parsley served with cucumber yogurt. Delicious! The Ember & Greens Soup that my family had was hot, hot, hot and so tasty. The fresh soup was filled with a blend of spinach, parsley, and cilantro with chickpeas, caramelized onions, pinto beans and quinoa. My FIL polished off his bowl! For dinner, we all had the Blackened Salmon. The salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa served on roasted carrots, broccoli and potatoes and a bed of quinoa. It was a full plate, which we all took home for dinner the next day. Note: it is quite buttery. My FIL had his butter and avocado salsa on the side which worked for him. I loved mine as is. Even though we were pretty full, we still enjoyed dessert. The tiramisu was so indulgent. Loved the layered mascarpone custard, whipped cream, coffee liqueur and coffee-soaked ladyfingers. My FLI had the Chia Seed Pudding with fresh berries. What a great meal. We had a slight hiccup where the appetizers came slightly after the main meal was served, but they were so honest about what happened that I still have to give them five stars for their food and their service. Would try them again for their generous, delicious meals. Lots of parking. Water glasses were frequently filled both with and without meals. It was a beautiful day, so it would have been the perfect day to eat outside if you like that. I'm an eat indoors kind of person, but if you like to eat outside, they do have a few tables for that. I was meeting a friend for lunch and she suggested Ember & Green. We really couldn't decide what to order, so we decided to order a few things and share them. We started off with the Persian Cucumber Sald. It had Persian cucumbers, heirloom cherry tomatoes, red onions, and Kalamata olives with oil and lemon dressing and topped with parsley and feta cheese. Let me tell you, thats lemon dressing was delicious! It went so well with the cucumbers. Next we ordered Blackened salmon with lemon butter and avocado salsa, served with charred broccolini, roasted carrots and potatoes on a bed of cilantro green pea quinoa. I'm really not a huge fan of salmon, but I'm trying to like it more by trying it different ways. The spices that they put on the salmon were really good, not too spicy, but also, not bland. It was also cooked perfectly. Oh, and that lemon butter... that lemon butter made the meal if you ask me. It was so good. So good in fact, I had to try and make salmon with lemon butter at him the very next week. Mine didn't come out as good as Ember & Greens, but it was decent. That just means that I need to leave the cooking to the professional. For dessert we decided to share the Skillet Cookie. Its a house made chocolate chip cookie baked in a cast iron skillet and topped with Amy's Mexican Vanilla Ice Cream and chocolate sauce. This was the only thing that we ordered that was a nope. I dont know what happened, but it didn't seem like it was cooked at all in the middle. We took a few bites, that was all we could eat of it. All and all, it was a good experience and I will go back. I'll just skip dessert next time.
