Murray's Pizza & Wine was absolutely delicious--easily a 10/10 experience! I'm so happy we finally tried it, and I already can't wait to go back. The pizza reminded me so much of Italy. Their dough is made in-house, and it tasted incredibly fresh and light. I'm usually worried about feeling bloated after pizza, but my stomach felt completely fine afterward, which meant we still had room for dessert! I ordered the Margherita pizza, and my husband got the pepperoni. Both were full of flavor, especially after our server, Dan, brought us some delicious hot honey to drizzle over them. Such a perfect touch! I also had the Murray's Spritz, while my husband ordered the Mai Tai, and we loved both drinks. Then came the horchata tiramisu... OMGGGG. So good! It was the perfect ending to an already amazing meal. A special shoutout to Dan for being so sweet, attentive, and helpful throughout our visit. Great food and genuinely wonderful service can feel so rare these days, but Murray's delivered on both. We'll definitely be visiting often! PS. Also make sure to try their Cesar salad! It'll be the best one you'll ever have!!!!

Went to Murray's Pizza & Wine on a Saturday to celebrate with a HH lunch. This places has lots of free parking available as there is a garage attached to the building. They have inside and outside sitting. You can also sit at the bar if you want. Husband and I chose a booth to dine at. This place has a nice HH menu. We chose a salad, pizza and I had a glass of wine while husband had a martini. The service is amazing while the food is great. They time the food with the salad coming first with lots of time to eat, enjoy and talk followed by the pizza. I highly recommend you go and try Murray's Pizza & Wine.

Sat at the bar and had a great experience! Von was our bartender/server, he was so attentive and friendly! The food was amazing! My husband and I each ordered from their restaurant week menu! We had the meatballs, the crudo, the burrata pizza, & the not so Hawaiian pizza! We will def be back and will be bringing our friends! Ambiance was a 10/10.

It was ok. Slow service and pricey. The pizza was disappointing for the price. Was at best just ok. The taste was flat and wondered why this was rated high at is.

Good food, service, and atmosphere... at a pizza place? Yes! Murray's does not disappoint. We were pleasantly surprised with our first visit. The vibe is relaxed with an eclectic music playlist yo set the mood. The garage parking made it simple for us to park nearby. Murray's has an interesting menu, especially the happy hour menu. On a Saturday! We opted for the Roman Feast which included a large Caesar salad, a choice of a margherita or cheese pizza, and two glasses of rosé wine or freezer martinis. But we got a second pizza too. The caesar salad is an interesting and delicious interpretation beyond romaine lettuce, parm cheese, and croutons. Murray's caesar is a spring mix of lettuce with tomatoes, capers, and olives folded into a mild caesar dressing (not overboard on the garlic), sprinkled with toasted bread crumbs. Delish. The salad was large enough for two and more. We ordered the margherita pizza which had a wonderful thin crust - not too crunchy but wonderfully airy and chewy, topped with mildly sweet pizza sauce topped with fresh mozzarella, topped with fresh basil after the cook . Perfect pairing with the glass of rosé and a vodka freezer martini we ordered. Our son ordered the sausage ala vodka pizza. It looked amazing. Vodka sauce, Italian sausage, whipped ricotta, fennel, basil, house pickled fresno peppers. He destroyed that pizza in one sitting. The waitstaff was very attentive and even recognized our birthday celebration by offering us a complimentary gelato which we shared amongst the three of us. Stracciatella gelato (chocolate chip) - get it, you'll love it. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our meal here. We kept it simple and just had a refreshing mocktail and the sausage alla vodka pizza. The Rosemarino mocktail was a pink peppercorn lemony shrub--it was so crisp and I really liked the way the peppercorn went with the lemon. The generous sprig of rosemary was a nice touch--very perfume-y every time you take a sip. The pizza was great! Nice chewy crust, and it was good to have a sauce base that wasn't your typical red or white pizza. It was a filling meal for two without leaving us overly stuffed. Service was a little slower than I might've expected but nothing outrageous for a Friday night. It's a welcome addition to the neighborhood!

If you live in the area (Memorial, Hedwig Village) and you want to stroll into a quaint, warm, inviting neighborhood spot, Murray's offers the coziness of a corner neighborhood spot without all the hustle and bustle feeling of being in thr city. Tucked away on Gaylord Drive, next to Tree Beards and Tiny's Milk and Cookies. It oozes classy yet subtle vibes, but I wouldn't say it's quite kid-friendly. A wonderful week-night date night or great for groups to get together. I read some of the other reviews. And I'd have to agree that while service was friendly, trying to flag someone to get things for our table was a challenge while the restaurant was not fully occupied. It was a bit inconvenient to have to constantly wait to see someone walk by, or wait longer than usual just to see if our server was around. I saw two MOD's or higher ups work on their laptops front of house, when they could have been more attentive to the tables. We ordered the sausage allá vodka and the prosciutto and burratta pizza and between the two, I surprisingly liked the prosciutto one better! Def recommend adding red pepper flakes to both. My personal opinion, I thought the sausage allá vodka could've used more sausage as it's in the name. It fell a bit short for me. The crust is pretty good... I wanted to order a Riesling by the glass (BTG) but I was told that since they didn't already have one opened, I would need to purchase an entire bottle. So I politely declined, but for those dining here in the future, that's def a PSA. We also asked if the ceasar salad could be a half size but apparently that option is only available during their lunch hours. All in all, tidbits here and there made for a slightly turbulent dining experience, but overall it was okay for a weeknight impromptu date night.

I think this place is perfect for the surrounding areas plenty of green space for the kids to play, leaf and grain is right next door, patio seating and shade for the outside seating too. I have been here 3x now and have sat outside 2x of the 3! great lunch time deal a salad and pizza for $20, I think its quite a steal. the pizza is really good, crispy, thin , and the dough is good too. if you leave it too long, of course it'll get softer, but I definitely enjoy the pizza at this place so much! service is great, I haven't had one bad experience. when you walk in, you'll see the bar area on the left, they have plenty of drinks to order from. oops did I mention there's a drink that comes with the $20 lunch special!!! yall gotta try it! also pepperoni, marg, and cheese comes with the $20 lunch special, and if you want other pizzas, it s a $5 uncharge. plenty of parking, come thru!

We frequent Leaf & Grain at least once a week and are obsessed with it so we have been meaning to try Murray's since they opened. We went on a Saturday night with some friends and let me just say that the patio over there was POPPING. We made a reservation for inside and were seated upon arriving. For dinner we ordered a bunch of stuff to share - Crudo, Meatballs, Roasted Carrots, Not Hawaiian Pizza and the Wild Mushroom Pizza. Everything was great but we really loved the crudo and both pizzas. Our only service hiccup of the evening was when our pizzas came out before our meatballs and carrots. Before we could even say anything our waiter, Juan Sebastian, was on top of it. He noticed immediately, came to the table and said that he was going to send them back and have them re-made to arrive after we finished our appetizers which we really appreciated. Really great casual neighborhood pizza spot with nice upscale small plates and a great outdoor patio.

Prosciutto and arugula pizza with burrata Mushroom pizza

Cozy and clean pizza joint with a great patio environment for the families. The promise of high quality ingredients and a mature menu worth sitting for is appetizing and got me in the door. After being influenced by the slick lighting and camera work of some instagram foodie, I made sure to get Murray's on my list of local places in my neighborhood to try. The menu is straightforward and seems to stick the the hits of Italian American dining, with the focus on pizza. We got some familiar appetizers that we usually have luck with when dining out, burrata, meatball, and Caesar salad. Of the 3 the things I liked their focaccia bread that came with it the best. The cheese was served simply and tasted great on that bread. The Caesar really struggled to impress me, needed to replace more of the arugula with romaine, and just needed a better crunch ingredient, and the dressing just lacked some punch. The meatball tasted like we wanted, but man it was bordering on too moist and loose, not enough holding it together to get a bite at most points. The pizzas continued the mixed results thing. Pepperoni, just felt plain, left me wanting more of the toppings. Sausage all vodka probably was the best top to bottom, good mix of spicy and meaty. Mushroom pizza had practically zero mushroom flavor, worked as a vehicle for the garlic sauce and the salsa verde mostly, which were good. It was begging for some of the earthy flavor that mushrooms provide. Prosciutto and arugula was prosciutto and arugula, no comments there. I did like the dough/crust here, great Neapolitan style with crispy bottom and chewy edge. I liked the Murray Spritz drink that I ordered, but as has been the trend at a couple restaurants, the wait staff is just so busy not being available that I wasn't given the opportunity to order another. Service wasn't bad by any means, just wasn't nearly present enough to add value to the experience. I'm leaning towards giving them another try, but I'm not running back when there's a local favorite like TaleSpin doing things im much more interested in.

I really love the atmosphere of this place, it was laid-back and casual. The service was really great as well. I do love the fact there is an outdoor seating area and a big parking garage nearby. The spritz was delicious and I loved the presentation! That pizza was also really good, but personally there are some other pizza places in Houston that I like even more. I felt like there could've been some more cheese on the pizza, but the combination of the honey was really delicious! The Shishido peppers were also really flavorful and a unique choice for an appetizer. Overall, I would definitely come back here again and try other pizzas.

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.

It was balanced with the mousse that was sweet but not overly sweet because of the cacao. The flourless biscuit was moist, reminding of a delicious chocolate cake. Two coffee molds were placed delicately leaning on the side and on top of the dessert. There were dried raspberry pieces on the dessert as well, adding hints of tartness if you taste it by itself but subtly hidden if you taste the dessert together. Excellent dessert, my regards to the pastry chef Daniela. Best part of the menu and this is what carried the 5-star review. Parking: Complimentary Valet
