I came across a neighborhood bar that offers a large selection of draft beers and has easy parking. Phenomenal beer/mead selection. Service is attentive and responsive. Bartender is incredibly knowledgeable on all his products. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance is laid back yet has an amazing decor.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Definitely will come back.

Cobble & Spoke is a bar hidden on a strip center that I would consider the epitome of "a hidden gem." While they may be small this place packs a lot of personality. I have had this gem saved on my list of places to visit but never had the chance to go. I luckily got the opportunity to go after having some fun at indigo moon. What a great way to end the day. This bar not only has beer, but they also serve mead! Great IPAs and ciders too... you can't go wrong. A great cozy place to come after work for a few with coworkers if you work nearby. Please note that they do not serve food and only serve small snacks. Kind of a let down but still had a great time. They have some fun games too and a little back outdoor sitting area. Definitely will be back soon!

Great bar, the beers are always rotating, but I had the unfortunate luck of entering this venue when Kyle was working. Horrible attitude, threw the remote for the TV at us, insulted me, and was simply a jerk. Nothing will change, but Kyle is acting like a POS. Kyle claimed to have seen me 5 times, and I *may* have seen him here once last year, and forgot his name so I asked again. Sorry for forgetting your name since last year - you didn't remember mine either. Kyle is just playing garbage music and FaceTiming somebody. He asked "what f@@@@ng sport is that?" when we asked if the channel could be turned. I will only come back here if Zach is working. I wish I owned this place so I could fire this joker named Kyle. Also noticed Kyle's short temper with other patrons. I come to a bar to feel welcomed and to have a friendly atmosphere. I feel like an intruder in this place. It's too bad. Houston has plenty of other places just as good as C&S. Just a horrendous experience.

Excellent beer bar. The selection of Texas beers is incomparable. The variety is unparraled. Just a cool spot to sit and chill, maybe enjoy the back porch on a cool night like this. An added bonus is the immaculate bathroom for a pub. Clean and pleasant smelling, you don't regret breaking the seal. I love this venue

Comfy location that was new to us. Great selection of craft beer and mead. Reminiscent of Austin in vibe.

I came here on a lazy Sunday afternoon and it was kinda of slow when I got there. I wasn't expecting a big scene, so I was fine with that. The location almost seems in no-man's land, or maybe its just more my novice Houston geography at work. At any rate it place has some nice chill charm and anyone would be super-impressed by the beer selection. You will find dozens of beers from near and far. They do sell some packaged snacks but I'm sure they have food trucks on some days. I will come back one evening and check it out again.

I had such a great afternoon on the patio at Cobble & Spoke. The weather was gorgeous and perfect for sitting outside. Kyle was really helpful with recommending beers he thought I would enjoy. The place was clean and inviting. If I lived in town I would undoubtedly be a regular.

Getting great beer recommendations from the bartender for a party I was hosting.

Ask the Community - Cobble & Spoke

Are there any food options available or can you have food delivered?

No food options themselves but I have seen food delivered here before. A few times they had a food truck serving food but it was always early, like before dark early and it was a 3rd party. I think they still allow food delivered but I haven't seen…

    Can you bring kids?

    Kids are welcome until 9pm.

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.

My friend's band, Zenjii, had a live performance there. A power outage befell the establishment (thanks for nothing, Centerpoint!) so the show was switched from inside to the patio. I'll say that the patio is a bit on the gritty side but has a really cool, summertime-in-the-backyard kind of vibe. I was drawn to the numerous street signs and license plates that were strewn throughout. Thankfully, the weather was cooperative enough. I did have a chance to check the interior. While virtually pitch black, I was able to see some pinball machines and a pool table. On a normal day, the place is likely buzzing. If the patio presented itself as a place for tailgates and barbecues then the inside was a badass combination of dive bar, honky tonk, and punk rock club. And because I don't drink alcohol, I settled on a Mexican Coke, which was a decent $3.25. When I took my first sip, I was taken back to the summers of my youth when I went home to the Philippines after the school year. The opening of the bottle left a bit of a weird taste in my mouth so I decided to pour the rest in a complimentary plastic cup. And Coke - no matter what flavor it is - tastes better in a plastic cup, but that's a different story for another day. As for the staff, everyone from Becca to Jeremy is pretty cool. Even those who served me the Coke were down-to-Earth. They didn't ask me for ID. *Laughs* But seriously, Eighteen Ten Ojeman is a great place to pull up to in Spring Branch after you have some legit Korean BBQ, which the area is known for.

We really wanted the baked oysters, but only got to get the fried. The fried oysters were not my favorite. They were more batter than anything. Favorite thing about this dish was the flavorful crust of the fish that shined through. The presentation was good with the microgreens, coriander, and onions adding color. Overall, thought this dish was good, but it didn't wow me. Dessert was AMAZING!! The dessert was a chocolate entremet (flourless biscuit, raspberry, guayaquil mousse). The guayaquil mousse uses Cacao Barry Extra-Bitter Guayaquil 64% couvetere dark chocolate. The raspberry sorbet had a tartness to it and the presentation was enhanced by the crushed up chocolate under it. It was balanced with the mousse that was sweet but not overly sweet because of the cacao. The flourless biscuit was moist, reminding of a delicious chocolate cake. Two coffee molds were placed delicately leaning on the side and on top of the dessert. There were dried raspberry pieces on the dessert as well, adding hints of tartness if you taste it by itself but subtly hidden if you taste the dessert together. Excellent dessert, my regards to the pastry chef Daniela. Best part of the menu and this is what carried the 5-star review. Parking: Complimentary Valet
