We pass this place all the time and have been wanting to try it out. Last night we decided to go here for date night. It's a cute spot, perfect for a first date, meet up with friends or a quick dinner with a nice glass during the week. A versatile spot. We had a really nice bottle of red from the Russian River Valley (Sonoma, CA). We were allowed to sample and they also do flights. We also sampled several food items. They were all delicious, satisfying and paired greatly. There is also a private space for events. This place is definitely worth a visit.

We found this place on a whim and decided to try it out. I love the that they offer a wine flight so you can taste a bunch of different wines. The fried goat cheese balls were also delicious. We will definitely be back. They have some high in wines and they are super smooth. I highly recommend this place if you know a lot about wines and want to try something different.

Great bottle of champagne... read label... sitting at the bar

The ambiance here is very casual and comfortable. Separate room with sofas for leisure chatting and wine tasting... bar to sit at so you can chat with Aaron or Riccardo about wine selections... tables to sit at for family pizza!! We had an amazing bottle of champagne and got assistance in selecting wine pairings for a veal dinner. Service was right on it...

Pizza, lady one on the list. Had cheeses and porcini and red sauce.

Ricardo took great care of us this evening. Had a flight of reds since that's what we love. One from each of Italy, Spain and France. We liked them all accompanying the grand charcuterie board. Then we had the pizza! Loved it too.

Excited to finally be back here. Sat at the bar and was helped by Ricardo. We got the opportunity to try sparkling and white wine flights. All were amazing! The cheese board was great too! They gave us a great variety of cheeses from different countries. All that cheeses paired perfectly with the wines we tried. We always have a great time when we visit Vin Santo. Can't wait to come back again soon!

We ordered a few items to share and enjoyed a few glasses of wine while catching up. Our waiter recommended the Albert Bicho Pinot Noir and it was really good. We shared the signature board, crispy calamari, and crab cake. We weren't a fan of the green olives but loved everything else. The calamari was a bit over fried but we loved the remoulade sauce it was served with. I enjoyed the crab cake there was plenty of crab meat. As the night went on the place began to fill and the ladies who came in for the live performance liven up the warm space and really set the vibes as did a version of Sade. This is a cute spot for date night or just catching up in the Memorial City center area.

There are books abound, along the walls, in the bathroom, everywhere. I had a glass of Experience, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a good pour, not too little or too much and the taste was deep, well balanced and smooth. Since the event took place around dinner time I also had a Fig and Speck flatbread. The fig, prosciutto and other toppings complimented each other well. The flatbread dough itself was ok but could've benefited from a little more flavor such as some garlic, butter and herbs. I also would've liked it a bit thinner so I could taste less of the bread and more of those delicious toppings. Don't get me wrong it was good and I ate all of it but these are small suggestions I'd recommend to bring it to perfection. I could see parking and seating being tricky. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot on the side of the building near the auto place and once inside I found a seat at a table with a lovely couple, another couple joined us soon after. Many of the guests who arrived later stood at first and then halfway through the event, made their way to the floor where they sat cross legged. All in all, The Library was a nice establishment and although a little out of my way, I'd return for another event or if I were in the area again.

The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.
