Perfect little coffee place! It's tucked away in the Rowan on the Trails apartment complex so it's a great place to just chill and enjoy some good coffee. The barista was super friendly and I enjoyed the chatting! The coffee is so good. Will definitely be back to try their gluten free flatbread!

The new location is spot on. Quieter than the others, but the food and coffee is still quite good and tasty.

The food is always great so no complaints there but my brave review is definitely the service. There were laughs, and background information on the restaurant, some of the chefs, and servers and it was also very interesting. We tried so many menu items. We had like three or four boards and several brunch items. Of course, I got the cucumber honey lemonade and I made my friend try it too. Lol. Delicious as always. 10 out of 10. However, I will say that the new battle of the board is not Great like I remember. They had super basic flavors and the ones they did experiment with different combinations were actually pretty disgusting. So, after two boards of those, we got our true blue staple favorites on the original menu. That did the trick! I think I've been to this location once or twice but I absolutely will be coming again!

We ordered a few items to share and enjoyed a few glasses of wine while catching up. Our waiter recommended the Albert Bicho Pinot Noir and it was really good. We shared the signature board, crispy calamari, and crab cake. We weren't a fan of the green olives but loved everything else. The calamari was a bit over fried but we loved the remoulade sauce it was served with. I enjoyed the crab cake there was plenty of crab meat. As the night went on the place began to fill and the ladies who came in for the live performance liven up the warm space and really set the vibes as did a version of Sade. This is a cute spot for date night or just catching up in the Memorial City center area.

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.

They managed to keep the same relaxed neighborhood vibe people love while giving it a much more modern, polished, and upscale feel. The updated design, lighting, TVs and overall atmosphere look incredible and make the space feel fresh without losing its personality. They still have the spinning drink wheel! The outdoor seating especially feels elevated now and makes for the perfect Houston brunch spot or night out. One of the best parts about NextDoor is that it's connected to Hungry's, which means you get full access to their menu while enjoying the lounge atmosphere. Being able to order everything from cocktails and appetizers to full meals while at a bar is a game changer. The food is consistently good, the drinks are strong (especially the frozen options) well-made, and everything comes out quickly. What keeps me coming back year after year is the consistency. The staff has always been welcoming and attentive, the crowd is chill, and it never feels overly pretentious or chaotic. It's one of those rare spots that works for everything, whether it's happy hour after work, date night, catching up with friends over drinks on the patio or a solo adventure. Love seeing a longtime Houston favorite continue to evolve while still delivering the same great experience that's kept me coming back for years. Definitely one of my go-to spots on Memorial Drive. My only suggestion is to tell the younger staff members to be conscious of their conversations while guest are dining nearby. I love people watching but I heard a lot of things. It appears Hungry's uses the bar area like a break/training room or to do other tasks like rolling utensils in napkins.

The package included a wine tasting and food pairing for up to 16 guests, and I paid more than $1,000 for the experience. When I contacted the winery to schedule our tasting, the ladies who assisted me were pleasant and helpful. I followed every requirement, submitted my guests' names in advance, and even visited the winery beforehand to tour the property. Although we were celebrating my birthday, I respected the restrictions and did not bring a cake, balloons, decorations, or anything else that was prohibited. The winery itself is absolutely beautiful, and the wine and food pairings were enjoyable. Unfortunately, the service during our tasting felt unnecessarily rigid and prevented the experience from being as welcoming and memorable as it could have been. Our tasting host seemed focused on keeping to a strict schedule and moving through the presentation. When members of our group raised their hands to ask questions, we often felt as though our participation was an inconvenience. During the vineyard tour, it was extremely hot because our event took place in July, so we hoped to move through that portion a little more quickly. Our host also appeared bothered by our desire to take pictures, even though we were simply enjoying the beautiful property and celebrating the occasion. Before the event, I requested traditional-height tables and chairs because several older ladies were attending and the low couches would be more difficult for them. I was told this could not be accommodated because Saturdays were busy and other parties would be using the room. However, our group was the only party in that room for the entire time we were there. While the room was gorgeous, the lack of flexibility was disappointing. Another issue that made me uncomfortable was the repeated reference to our experience as a "donated tasting." While the winery donated the package to the fundraiser, it was not donated to me. I purchased it at auction for more than $1,000. Continuously describing it that way felt dismissive and made us feel as though our experience was somehow less valuable than that of a regular paying customer. Ironically, other guests at the winery were warmer and more accommodating than some of the staff. They graciously offered to take pictures for us and complimented our group on how lovely we looked. We also purchased several bottles of wine at the end of the tasting. Overall, the winery is beautiful, the wine is good, and I am still interested in joining the wine club and returning. However, I hope the owners will provide additional customer-service training and encourage the staff to show greater warmth and reasonable flexibility. A wine experience should be about more than moving through a presentation and checking boxes. Guests should feel welcomed, appreciated, and excited to return--especially when the ultimate goal is to introduce new customers to the winery and build lasting relationships. This review definitely would have been four or possibly five stars if the service would have matched the beauty of the property.
