It's an ice house / dive bar which means you have to purchase a set up which is pretty cheap considering going to other bars that sell liquor.

They have plenty of indoor seating between booths, bar stools, and high tables. If the weather isn't too oppressively hot, they have a great outdoor area as well with covered picnic tables, and even a play space for kids. There's beer on tap ranging from the standard to the craft, and they offer a full bar if you're looking for something stronger. I haven't ordered food yet but everyone I know who's eaten here has said that it's above and beyond their expectations. If you're looking for a place in Spring Branch to enjoy a beer and have a casual chat with friends, Lazy Oaks will be right on target.

We were all expecting bar food quality but everything was really good especially the chicken tacos and fruit salad. Major, major props on them for killing the hosting of our event. The bar is decently sized especially when you factor the inside portion and outside portion. However the bathrooms are tiny with only 1 urinal and 1 stall. There was constantly a line when we visited even on a Thursday night. Parking is also very limited. The lot is very small and does not fit many cars. If you're looking for a chill place to hang and grab a beer or two with some friends and watch sports either inside or outside, this will definitely be your kind of place.

The counter service keeps things moving while the food speaks for itself. The brisket was exactly what you'd hope for: a pronounced bark, a rendered fat cap, and slices that held together until they were pulled apart. The surprise for me was the brisket taco. Instead of feeling like a gimmick, it showcased the meat in a different way, balancing smoke, richness, and fresh toppings without masking the brisket. Good barbecue restaurants know their sides matter just as much as the meat. The mac and cheese was creamy, the sausage had a satisfying snap, and the house barbecue sauce complemented rather than covered the smoke. If you're visiting Houston, this is the kind of place that reminds you why Texas barbecue has earned its reputation. Efficient counter service, excellent brisket, and enough menu variety to keep you coming back.

Also ordered turkey sandwich and 2 tacos , one beef and one pulled pork. My favorite thing was the fixings bar. I seriously felt fomo when I saw the food being made. The portions seem small to me. We enjoyed the food though. I did not like the pulled pork taco, maybe because it got soggy. I would like to try some other items and also their dessert.

The day before the game we hit up twin peaks after we arrived and checked into our hotel. Although it was cool there, we were looking for more football fans with vibes so we decided to check out Kirby Ice House and was so happy we did! The following day after we left our World Cup game, we went back to twin peaks to grab wings to go and headed back to Kirby's for the next 5 hours for the remaining games! It's a HUGE sports bar with LOTS of TVs and seating areas/options. If you don't mind the heat, they have a huge outdoor patio with plenty of TVs. Me?? We avoided that until the sun went down lol. Inside they still have a lot of tables and TVs or you can opt for the bar and there's plenty of TVs there as well. I love that the vibe in here is super chill! Everyone was very nice. Kim the bartender was the best! They don't serve food but they have different food trucks each day (they have a schedule on their website) and they also allow you to bring outside food just not alcohol. Their cocktails are pretty good and they have a big variety of beers and specials.

The indoor bar area is massive, and the patio is just as big, making it great for large groups or events. It definitely has that laid-back, social vibe, and it's also dog-friendly, which is a nice touch. Customer service was good, and the drink prices were reasonable, especially for a place of this size and popularity. It did get pretty crowded, which adds to the energy if you're going for that kind of atmosphere. There isn't a full kitchen, but there was a food truck on-site (I believe it was Hearsay). It was okay--not bad, but nothing standout. You can also bring in outside food or order from nearby spots, which is convenient. Nothing super fancy or over-the-top, but if you're looking for a casual place to hang out, watch a game, and enjoy drinks with a group, this gets the job done.

Came for karaoke and food. Not the best experience for either…read more Karaoke room table layout makes it hard for people in the middle to get up and sing. Unable to control the karaoke and mic volume settings unless you ask a worker. With variability in audio this got annoying. Also, limited selection of songs. Most people are told to just stream off YouTube on their phones, but then you run into adds burning up time. I wouldn't go back for the food either. The Kimchi fried rice was a miss for several people. When we ordered the chicken wings we were expecting crispy Korean fried chicken wings, nothing crispy about these. Our party ordered enough food for the karaoke room discount, but this wasn't automatically honored either unless we prompted.

At that point, we hadn't even touched the karaoke machine - just a quick explanation from the host. What we weren't told was that the time started while we were decorating. Had we known that, I definitely would've waited... because who uses paid time to decorate on purpose? Communication there was a big miss. The rooms are on the smaller side. Ours had a booth that says it fits 12. We had 7 and that felt perfect. I could see 9-10 working, but 12 would be very tight. Now the positives - the vibes and decor are fun and upbeat, and the staff is very attentive with food and drinks. There's a button you press if you need anything, and everything came out quickly. Most of the food was flavorful and spicy - the honey popcorn chicken was a crowd favorite. Drinks were unique, and I appreciated that they brought water carafes right away. The karaoke setup runs through YouTube, which means a lot of commercials you have to manually skip - kind of kills the vibe. Then at 9:30 we were suddenly told our time was up. No warning, no "do you want to extend?" - just a blunt time's up. We explained the decorating situation and that our reservation was technically until 10. After going back and forth, they extended us to 9:55, which we appreciated. Checkout was chaotic. Lots of staff going in and out, confusion around pricing, and overall just disorganized energy at the end. Honestly, it was almost a great experience. Good food, fun concept, nice atmosphere - but the lack of clear communication and the rushed ending really took away from it. With better organization and clearer policies, this place could easily be a win.
