Perfect kind of dive bar. Laid-back, a little rough around the edges, and full of character. The pirate theme was a fun touch, the popcorn machine popping added to the vibe, and the drink names were playful and creative. Service was excellent, friendly, and quick.

A friend recommended this spot, and I have to say I've never been to a bar this clean, if you can believe it! The real wood tables and chairs give it such a warm vibe, the drinks are great, and the prices are super reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back 1000%!

Brought to you by the team behind Lei Low, Loose Cannon is a fun, divey local lounge with a nautical, pirate vibe. They have a great bourbon selection and a rum focused list of specialty drinks. There are some table games- Uno anyone? And free popcorn. Let's keep it local and support this establishment.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon before a Yelp event. Place was pretty empty which was expected for the time and day we went in. The bartender was friendly and was happy to answer questions about their drink specials and even gave recommendations. The Devore gives a beach bar vibe. Music isn't too loud and is played by a jukebox. This can be good or bad depending on who's feeding it. I wouldn't mind coming back in the vending hours to see what the crow/vibe is like.

This was the pregame to a Yelp event, and it is clean, quiet and has a pretty bang and happy hour. The bartender was friendly and cool, and my rice draft was a delicious $6 dollars with happy hour discount. I will return and bring money for more yacht rock radio.

Loose Cannon is a cozy dive that has a little something for everyone. This is one of those spots where you can walk through the door knowing that whether you're alone or with company you're going to have a nice time. I've been to Loose Cannon with friends and/or family several times. Parking is never an issue with additional spots to the left of the building and each time I go I have the same experience: the bartenders and patrons here are super welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is extremely cozy, and the drinks are comparatively cheap but extremely delicious. They also host occasional events such as steak and comedy nights that I have yet to try, but my family has told me they enjoy. If you're looking for a no-nonsense come-as-you-are-good time, I couldn't recommend Loose Cannon more.

Cute little spot in spring breach. Such a hidden gem. The drinks are a twist of classic cocktails and they have a huge selection of beers

Fun dive bar, drinks are tasty and affordable, vibes are great, and the bartenders always take care of us.

I love the vibe of this bar. I lived in the Caribbean and so to find a lovely hidden paradise like this is absolute heaven. Will be coming back multiple times. Bartenders are amazing too

First time coming by this place last week on the night before Thanksgiving and I really liked it. The place itself is pretty small, but still lots of space to sit. A few tables, plus the bar seating area. Bartenders were great, friendly, and fast. We were trying their fancier menu, so I got a painkiller, my friend got a Paloma. Both were great, very strong. The atmosphere was chill, they had cute xmas decor up. Overall nice place to go and have a drink . Support spring branch local bars !

DJ Min who also doubles as the owner kept the mix high energy and it did not miss a beat all night. The bartender Axle was a terrific host taking care of patrons as quickly as they were hitting the bar. Drinks were excellently made and With Soju shots currently at $2 and specialty shots at $3 they can be relatively inexpensive. Just make sure to ask the bartender which shots fall under the special. However be ready for well liquor if you are ordering a mixed drink. James the HookahMan takes care of hookah patrons rather quickly and is very passionate about his flavors and setups making for a very pleasant experience as he takes care of you all night. The only things that need work is the lack of a physical menu for drinks causing you to try and pick something out from 3 screens flashing the menu and specials seemingly at random (I ended up sitting there with my phone taking a picture of each screen before making my order). On a personal preference the murals are beautiful but I feel the private rooms might have served better as private sections not closed off from the DJ music and the rest of the lounge. Makes the place feel a bit tight. I enjoyed my time here and I look forward to frequenting this spot on Saturdays!

Me and a friend split the Kebab Land mix that was recommended for 1 person, but it was the perfect amount of food for two people. The shish kebab skewer was super tender and had good flavor and the beef skewer was also tasty, but just a bit tough in my opinion. The chicken was moist and had a good charred flavor. The rice and grilled tomatoes were standard though the homemade bread was a bit thin and bland. Considering the bold flavors from the other elements of the food, the bread did complement it well. (6.5/10) Overall, the food is very comparable to other restaurants that serve this kind of cuisine. I think this place is definitely filling in a gap as there are not many other places in this area that serve this kind of food. If I were craving some kebabs and didn't want to drive too far I would definitely come back here. The owner was also super kind And the service was quick. Something else to note is that they only have bottled water that they charge for but the hot tea is free. The ambiance is super casual and parking is super easy because there are a ton of spots around as it is apart of a huge plaza.

My friend's band, Zenjii, had a live performance there. A power outage befell the establishment (thanks for nothing, Centerpoint!) so the show was switched from inside to the patio. I'll say that the patio is a bit on the gritty side but has a really cool, summertime-in-the-backyard kind of vibe. I was drawn to the numerous street signs and license plates that were strewn throughout. Thankfully, the weather was cooperative enough. I did have a chance to check the interior. While virtually pitch black, I was able to see some pinball machines and a pool table. On a normal day, the place is likely buzzing. If the patio presented itself as a place for tailgates and barbecues then the inside was a badass combination of dive bar, honky tonk, and punk rock club. And because I don't drink alcohol, I settled on a Mexican Coke, which was a decent $3.25. When I took my first sip, I was taken back to the summers of my youth when I went home to the Philippines after the school year. The opening of the bottle left a bit of a weird taste in my mouth so I decided to pour the rest in a complimentary plastic cup. And Coke - no matter what flavor it is - tastes better in a plastic cup, but that's a different story for another day. As for the staff, everyone from Becca to Jeremy is pretty cool. Even those who served me the Coke were down-to-Earth. They didn't ask me for ID. *Laughs* But seriously, Eighteen Ten Ojeman is a great place to pull up to in Spring Branch after you have some legit Korean BBQ, which the area is known for.

They have plenty of tables inside and seating at the bar. The patio area has a nice covered area with some TVs, typically with a local sports game on. Typically at least a couple of families are around, either playing a game or just enjoying the patio with a cold pint. Food & Drink - 4.75* Great local craft beer selection! Definitely give the wall a close look as there's probably something you haven't tried unless you frequent the place already. For food, they have plenty to choose from. Starter and shareables such as chips & queso, pretzels, flautas, or spinach & artichoke dip. For mains you can grab a salad or a guilty pleasure like burgers, wings, and chicken sandwiches. I've had plenty of the items and have never been disappointed. I definitely recommend the onion rings if you go with a sandwich meal. That's not to say the tots or fries are bad, it's just their onion rings are really on point. On Thursday they do ribeye night, so give it a go if you're looking for something a bit more substantial. Service - 4* I've found generally speaking the service is pretty good when ordering at the bar. They can get a little busy at times and slow, but never egregious. Everyone is quite friendly when you ask questions and looking for some recommendations. Cost - 4.25* Always subjective, for me, I find their pricing pretty good for an above average pint and burger. If I were to knock it a little, I think some of the larger brewers "easy drinking" lighter beers could carry a slightly less cost, or maybe run more "specials" to sell at volume with thinner margin. Just a suggestion. Overall, I've never been turned off by any of the pricing. It's definitely refreshing to support local brewers and a local bar more than going to some of the more corporate establishments that sit nearby. Overall - 4.5* Whether you live nearby or need a good meetup location for family and friends around the city, this is a spot I'd recommend to anyone seeking a laid back family atmosphere.

The décor, wine list, menu, comfortable seating, and cozy atmosphere make it such a special spot. They offer wines for every taste and budget, and the staff is knowledgeable when asked for recommendations. That's why this is difficult for me to write. Despite visiting frequently, I've consistently found the customer service to be unwelcoming. The service has a strange tone, and it isn't limited to one employee they all seem to share the same indifferent, slightly annoyed demeanor. The experience feels less like genuine hospitality and more like, "You're here what can I get you?" On my most recent visit, others in my group noticed and commented on the same thing without any prompting from me. Since they had never been before, it confirmed that it wasn't just my perception. One small interaction captured the overall tone. We asked whether they happened to have a birthday candle, and an employee responded in an annoyed tone by pointing to the candle on our table which, realistically, no one would put on a birthday dessert. We completely understood that they might not have one; it wasn't an unreasonable expectation or request. A simple, friendly response like, "Unfortunately, we don't, but we do have some delicious desserts," would have been perfectly fine. It wasn't the answer that bothered us. it was the way we were made to feel for asking. It may seem like a small interaction, but great hospitality is built on small moments. The atmosphere is warm, cozy, and inviting, but unfortunately, the service doesn't reflect that same feeling. People return to places where they feel welcomed and appreciated, especially in a city like Houston with so many wonderful food and wine options. I genuinely want The Library to thrive because it has everything else it needs to remain a true neighborhood favorite.

Most of the crowd there tho, like myself, weren't actually Dutch, but everyone was just there for the vibes. That said, we ended up standing outside because it was probably over capacity. Took me a good 30 minutes just to order a bucket of Heinekens. From what I can tell, this place's giving more of a neighborhood dive bar. It was hot and crowded as one can get (probably over capacity if you ask me.. the parking was hard to find in the neighborhoods nearby and we had to walk a good 5-10min), and $35 for a bucket of 6 small Heinekens isn't really the best deal.. but can't blame them. Our large party had a buffet of food - all of it was basic but tasty - panko-breaded chicken tenders, chips and queso, and quesadillas. Service was actually stellar throughout our time here. Bartenders and servers came around to our group frequently to ask if they could get us anything. I did not expect that from a divey bar like this.
