Perfect kind of dive bar. Laid-back, a little rough around the edges, and full of character. The pirate theme was a fun touch, the popcorn machine popping added to the vibe, and the drink names were playful and creative. Service was excellent, friendly, and quick.

A friend recommended this spot, and I have to say I've never been to a bar this clean, if you can believe it! The real wood tables and chairs give it such a warm vibe, the drinks are great, and the prices are super reasonable. I'll definitely be coming back 1000%!

Brought to you by the team behind Lei Low, Loose Cannon is a fun, divey local lounge with a nautical, pirate vibe. They have a great bourbon selection and a rum focused list of specialty drinks. There are some table games- Uno anyone? And free popcorn. Let's keep it local and support this establishment.

Came here on a Tuesday afternoon before a Yelp event. Place was pretty empty which was expected for the time and day we went in. The bartender was friendly and was happy to answer questions about their drink specials and even gave recommendations. The Devore gives a beach bar vibe. Music isn't too loud and is played by a jukebox. This can be good or bad depending on who's feeding it. I wouldn't mind coming back in the vending hours to see what the crow/vibe is like.

This was the pregame to a Yelp event, and it is clean, quiet and has a pretty bang and happy hour. The bartender was friendly and cool, and my rice draft was a delicious $6 dollars with happy hour discount. I will return and bring money for more yacht rock radio.

Loose Cannon is a cozy dive that has a little something for everyone. This is one of those spots where you can walk through the door knowing that whether you're alone or with company you're going to have a nice time. I've been to Loose Cannon with friends and/or family several times. Parking is never an issue with additional spots to the left of the building and each time I go I have the same experience: the bartenders and patrons here are super welcoming and friendly, the atmosphere is extremely cozy, and the drinks are comparatively cheap but extremely delicious. They also host occasional events such as steak and comedy nights that I have yet to try, but my family has told me they enjoy. If you're looking for a no-nonsense come-as-you-are-good time, I couldn't recommend Loose Cannon more.

Cute little spot in spring breach. Such a hidden gem. The drinks are a twist of classic cocktails and they have a huge selection of beers

I love the vibe of this bar. I lived in the Caribbean and so to find a lovely hidden paradise like this is absolute heaven. Will be coming back multiple times. Bartenders are amazing too

First time coming by this place last week on the night before Thanksgiving and I really liked it. The place itself is pretty small, but still lots of space to sit. A few tables, plus the bar seating area. Bartenders were great, friendly, and fast. We were trying their fancier menu, so I got a painkiller, my friend got a Paloma. Both were great, very strong. The atmosphere was chill, they had cute xmas decor up. Overall nice place to go and have a drink . Support spring branch local bars !

Surprising dive bar! Excellent martini atmosphere laid back. Hidden gem! The old school juxe box was a bonus! Don't change a thing!

I'm a Tiki Geek so any chance I have to hit a new (for me) tiki bar and down a delicious tropical cocktail, I jump on it. The bar is located in a very unassuming location within a tiny little strip of businesses in the suburbs of northern Houston. Signage outside isn't obvious but once you step inside, you're transported to a little slice of paradise. Service was fantastic...the bartender (Jonathan) was very helpful guiding me towards what to try and gave me some Lei Low swag, too. The fellow seated at the bar next to me turned out to be the owner, Russell Thoede, who was very nice and we engaged in a nice chat about California tiki bars many of which he has visited. The drinks I had were fantastic; Donn's Original Zombie ($18) and Ground Control ($17) and stack right up there with the best we have here in California. Love the different tiki mugs for the different drinks. Thank you, Russell and Jonathan, for such a great experience! HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

They had a lot of drinks that seems to be best if you shared a fish bowl style. They did look very exciting but we wanted to try more individual drinks. There is a QR code on the table and you go to the counter to order them. Sadly, the drinks were 50/50 on our table. The Spaceship Lullaby and Prickly Pear were misses. The Saturn and Portlight were great. This bar is def. good for a group hang out but it is a little loud. Parking is free but limited out front. If it looks like a small shop, you're at the right place.

We went here for a friend's birthday on a Thursday. We had reservations for a large group but I don't think it's necessary if you are going solo or as a couple. The staff is really nice and the decor is extravagantly kitschy reminding me of the waiting room in the Beetlejuice movie. Which makes sense given the headshrinker in that movie. Being a tiki bar, there's a vast selection of drinks ranging from $18-42 depending on the size. They gave us a complimentary entry drink and I think there was a two drink minimum. I had a Bay Breeze and a Bitter Bird. Tasted the Silver Surfer. All were okay, but I haven't been impressed by too many sweet cocktails.

The team behind the popular restaurant Nobie's opened up this tiki inspired restaurant. Tiki bars happen to be one of my favorite varieties of bars so I was more than excited to finally check it off my list. I had recently seen them on the Food Network as well. They share a lot with another popular dining spot so parking can be a little difficult in their lot. You can find street parking or park across the street in an overflow lot. Customer service was great from start to finish. We had just ate next door and our intentions were to come in here just for cocktails, but I couldn't leave without trying some of the popular items. I wanted the most tropical drink I could find on the menu so I started off with the Blue Hawaiian. I saw fire on the description so my extra self needed to have it. I'm a big rum guy so this drink was right up my alley and very boozy with two types of rum. It was very coconut forward with pineapple being the secondary flavor. One was enough for me to feel just right. Since we had just ate, we decided to share the World Famous Cheeseburger. This was a great burger. I don't know if they were going for the smash effect, but it had smash burger characteristics. It had all my favorite things that are musts on a burger like American cheese and red onions. It also had a very nice chili aioli that added great flavor to the burger. I came on another stop for a drink visit shortly after and tried the pork dumplings and popcorn chicken. These were also very good. If I lived in the area, this place would easily be a place I would frequent often. I will most definitely be back!

They have an outdoor eating area, a bar area, and seating in the very back. It's very spacious, comfortable, and intimate. The theme of the restaurant is seen all over from the moment you enter, to the music, the menu and the restroom. They paid close attention to detail with decorating. We had an amazing server, delicious drinks (a must try), and ok food. We ordered four drinks the painkilla, vamos à la playa, captains grog, and the Hemingway daiquiri. All were great drinks and we loved how they give you flavor characteristics of the drinks on the menu. The appetizers that we ordered were the sweet and sour cauliflower and the pork dumplings, which is why I gave this place four stars. The presentation of both appetizers were excellent. However, the pork dumplings were disappointing. They came with only six dumplings for $17, were served cold, and are very bland. In my opinion, they weren't worth the price. On the other hand, the sweet and sour cauliflower was our favorite and is definitely a must-try.

I guess you can classify the area as EaDo. I don't remember a dedicated parking lot, but there is alot of street parking in the area. Looks can be deceiving. It has a divey look on the outside, with a little patio and picnic tables. Walking in, it was the complete opposite. I'm not saying it's upscale inside, but it's clean, has dim lighting with string lights, quirky decorations, random seating throughout, a couple of pool tables, a jukebox, etc. The NOLA vibes were there with all the frozen drink machines lined up behind the bar. We came pretty early in the night and the place was busy. We got lucky and was able to take up some space at the bar. Customer service was great. I knew coming in I was going to go for a frozen drink of some sort, but they got it all. It's almost like they had an identity crisis and just decided to put all the drink varieties on the menu. They have tiki bar type drinks that are rum forward. They have the tequila category with margaritas, palomas, etc. They have all kinds of draft and bottled beer. Then of course all the frozen concoctions. You can get them as is with one flavor, or get one of their mixes with extra shots of flavored liquor or tooters as they like to call it. I tried the Sexxx Waxxx. The name alone seemed intriguing. It was a mix of one of their mango drinks along with strawberry mixes. Delicious and it packed a punch as well. I took it easy and stopped after one. They also have food on deck. They got Po'Boys, chicken strips and other bar foods. My friends swore by the tator tots. I got a large order to share and even though they looked like regular tots, they seasoned and cooked them to perfection and they were addicting. I need to come back and try their other stuff as well.
