AyeCandy is so cute. I love the speakeasy theme of it looking like a candy shop from the outside but it actually being a cocktail bar. Most of the drinks I've had there have been delicious and the staff are super sweet too. I love that I can go there alone with a book and enjoy myself or bring friends. I believe they also bring in a live band some days of the week, which is cool too.

Houston weekend. One extra night to burn. I went hunting for a slick little cocktail spot and BAM...I stumble into Aye Candy. First off... the concept is brilliant. The front looks like a nostalgic candy shop; so good I actually walked right past it the first time. Then that Christmas-kissed entrance opens up and you hit a hidden door. It's playful. It's exclusive. And yes, valet is only $10, so just do it. Inside? Modern-chic seduction. Velvet green barstools, moody lighting, the kind of space that pulls you in and keeps you close. Bring a date, bring your inner VIP, this is where you go to impress without even trying. Reservations recommended, but you might score walk-in magic like I did on a Saturday. Music? A smooth throwdown of EDM + Studio 54 vibes; you'll know exactly what I mean when you hear it. One of the owners welcomed me the second I walked in...set the tone right. I went straight for my signature: The Blackie (Black Manhattan). Pablo, the bartender, didn't miss a beat. Confident. Cool. You can just feel when someone knows their craft. Angel's Envy whiskey, flawless build, proper presentation this is how a night begins. Round two? The bold move: Tequila Martinez with El Tesoro Reposado. Pablo's eyes lit up...a twist on the OG classic and he was fully on board. Drinks? On point. Hospitality? World-class. Even the water refills were smooth. Tequila lineup is strong too...Ocho, El Tesoro, Don Fulano, Fortaleza; all the right hitters. And if you haven't tried a Tequila Martinez yet, lock that in for your next lounge run. This was just a nightcap... but trust me...Houston hasn't seen the last of me at Aye Candy. See you again soon!

Yes, yes! Aye Candy = a "hidden" gem. Came for a girls night one evening and it was a great experience! When you're driving up, be sure to be on the lookout; if you blink, you might miss it. There is a small parking lot in front of the speakeasy. My friend and I made reservations ahead of time, and once we walked in, we gave our name and were escorted to the speakeasy. I got curious and asked - was it real candy in the front of Aye Candy? Yes, yes it is :). When entering the speakeasy, it truly feels like you're walking into a new place; dimmed lighting, upscale attire, music, floral decor, etc. It's truly a vibe and I'm here for it. Staff was incredible friendly and helpful. We asked for their specialties and recommendations for drinks and were happy with our choices. Drinks are not weak, so savor them and enjoy them. Aye Candy is not where you go to through back drinks, it's where you go to savor them over a delicious board of goodies. Highly recommend for girls night, date night, or even a private event (I haven't hosted or been to a private event here, but I can tell it would be awesome).

This is a lovely speakeasy that is disguised as a candy shop from the outside. In terms of parking, valet is the only option unless you park in the residential area across the street. Don't park in the stores next to Aye Candy because you will get towed. Valet is $10 from Friday-Sunday but free during the weekday. The iside is dimly lit and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are also a vibe! My friend and I ordered the following: Royale This was actually recommended by the bartender when I asked him which drink is the sweetest. Royale was a solid choice and I wish I tried the flower because it's edible- next time :)! Aye Candy Gin & Tonic My friend ordered this and it was such a gorgeous drink! I loved how I was able to taste the rosemary and all the other elements that were incorporated. This was probably my favorite drink of the night. Espresso Flor Martini The Hello Kitty decoration hello?! So adorable!! And tasted lovely Cocosol The presentation with the hibiscus salt rim and flower was beautiful. We couldn't quite taste the lavender syrup since the tequila flavor was quite strong but still a good drink! Although the drinks were expensive, they are beautifully crafted and you can taste the quality. Not to mention, the servers here are very attentive and keen to detail. This is a good place to take/impress someone after you state "I know a place"

Aye Candy was a very unexpected speakeasy in the Spring Branch area. Tucked away behind this white exterior candy shop, Aye Candy is sure to please! Service wise, we made a reservation for 2 on a Thurs night 745pm. There was no problems getting checked in, they open the door and you're instantly transported to a hidden bar/lounge. We decided to sit at the bar so we could see all the action of them making the drinks. We tried their aye candy gin and tonic, a classic margarita, moradita shots, and their signature espresso flor martini. All of the drinks were craftfully made and presented beautifully. The ambiance here was perfect for an intimate date night. The only downside to coming here is that they don't really have any food options available. They offer a medium or large charcuterie board or candy as an option, but we didn't think it was worth ordering for the price. Overall, I'll definitely come back for a future date night. The speakeasy vibes are immaculate. Cheers!

A date night hot spot! My husband brought me here on a date and I loved it! It was easy to find and had a very fun entrance. The waitress was fun and energetic. We ordered the candy board, an old fashioned and the margarita flight. The drinks were all very delicious and well crafted. The candy board was nice because we had dinner prior to our date here and having dessert with drinks was so nice. It's a gorgeous bar, I will definitely return in the future.

Cute place! Intimate, cozy, chic with a unique vibe for spring branch/spring valley. The cocktails are quality which is the key to it all!I love their seasonality, keeping the drinks vibe fresh and fun. I will say, I DONT love that it's valet only. But otherthan that it was enjoyable and I would like to go back to experience it again.

I was really surprised by this place. The attention to service and detail was superb. The lighting and vibe is perfect for an intimate date night. The drinks are well balanced with the right amount of sweetness and alcohol. Easy to go down which can also lead to not realizing how tipsy you're getting. Looking for a good date night spot, give this place a try.

Aye Candy is a fun speakeasy with a fun theme (as mentioned in the name). When you walk in, you're in a little candy shop where you can feel free to eat whatever is on the wall - be careful though, most of the bagged candy has expired, hence why they tell you to take from the jars! When you enter the bar, it has a lounge feel to it. Some nice comfy sofas, a bar set up, and then a few intimate tables. The drinks were solid. They had a fun assortment and they found unique ways to implement candy into them as well!

$18 drink and after tax and tip it was about $25 it was delicious.

Cute spot to get drinks. It's a speakeasy but not really in the sense that the host walks you right in. The space is great. It's intimate and classy and clean. The drinks on the menu are well thought out. Landre who was bartending that night is amazing. If he isn't too busy, he'll spend time chatting it up if you'd like. I read a review that someone didn't get in due to ripped jeans. I had jeans on but one small tear below the knees. I wore a blouse and dress shoes and I was let in easy. It was also a Thursday night and I was on my own. I'm sure if you didn't have reservations and it was busier, they would be more selective on who they let in as first come first serve. They do take reservations if you want to secure a seat.

Loved this speakeasy! Great ambiance and vibe. It can be easily overlooked when looking for the lot. When we arrived using the GPS it took us to the lot next door. They offer free valet parking which was great because the lot next door was definitely sketchy. We were able to book a reservation the same day. We went it and was seated at the bar until out table was ready. Service was great. I was waiting to get my order taken and the manager saw me and served us. We were seated shortly after and got our first round of drinks. Presentation was great. All the drinks looked beautiful. My favorite was definitely the gin and tonic and the lychee shots! Our group of 4 was able to catch up although music got loud from time to time. I can't say how impressed I was with the service. They were so attentive and condtantly checked in on you. Definitely recommend and would be back.

We came here for a light Saturday dinner. We had a great experience. The decor is cozy, drinks were delish. Th only food they served is the charcuterie. This is more like a bar drinking experience. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We would love to come back here again.

AyeCandy is a cute and quaint cocktail bar located in the Spring Branch area of Houston. Because I decided to visit on a weeknight, parking was plentiful, but I would imagine on a weekend this being a potential issue. When I made it into the Speakeasy itself, I was struck by how beautiful it was inside. The music was not too loud, the focal point in the space (the bar) was well lit and designed and I loved the overall ambiance. Bartenders made the drinks really well and I was able to try a few drinks including: The Gold Escalade- While Mezcal does not work well in most drinks, pairing it with the pineapple and egg white balanced out that strong smoky flavor. The presentation was beautiful and I'd definitely get this again. Cocosol- The hibiscus salt rim gives this drink a really interesting look. I am a sucker for anything coconut flavored and this drink did not disappoint. Aesthetically beautiful, especially with the flower garnish. A touch on the sweeter side, but overall another solid creation. Overall I had a great experience and would absolutely visit again.

Medium Charcuterie board, Wonka-tini, and another old fashioned :)

Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Cool view out of the single window to the city below. Let's get to the drinks and service. Apparently, it was a newer menu and many of the drinks we were told about were no longer listed. The server was very strange and off-putting. She didn't do the best job describing the drinks at all and kept calling us "my babies". Four full grown adults being referred to as "babies" by a woman our age or younger was just weird and she did it a lot too. No one liked it. The drink I got was extremely overpriced and came in a tea cup- not my cup of tea. My friend asked for something creative using tequila and pineapple- she said "sure, we can make that. Do you prefer 1942 or clase azul?" I stepped in. I know you have more tequilas than your two most expensive options. Of course they did and she gave him more realistic options to mix with. Had I not stepped in, she would have taken advantage of him. None of us were impressed by the drinks, the prices or the service. None of the fun and fancy drinks were shown to us nor seen throughout the bar or other tables. No smoke, no big bubbles being popped, no treasure chest with a drink in lol This was an expensive let down. We do a ton of high end and expensive dinners and bars. This did not live up to the hype or price point. Extremely overrated and the strange service left a bad impression on all of us.

The store front is very tiny, it could fit maybe 6 people fairly comfortably. They do have a speak easy space for their tastings, which is an interesting concept, which I'll touch on later. Effectively, they have different unique shapes of chocolate that are liquid filled with alcoholic and non-alcoholic liqueurs. Think licor 43, gin, bourbon, whiskey, tequila, etc. The chocolates themselves are good, there wasn't any that I disliked and I'd say the carajillo was one of my favorites. All that said, I think this can be hit or miss with some folks. I like them, whereas I can see how it has a bit of a flash in the pan type taste. It hits fast and then, that's it.Personally, I can get past that probably and could easily eat 10 in rapid fashion. Where this place loses my attention and where I struggle is the pricing. Value is always subjective and I'm sure some will find these to be well worth their price. For reference, I think it's 4 for $22, 8 for $34, when I recently visited. I just didn't find them to be worth that pricing model, particularly when there are other brands that you can get at a lower price and similar fillings. At the end of the day, I think this is worth it for an experience or date, particularly if you're going to go in for the tasting. Think, wine and cheese, in this case, cocktails and chocolates. It's $65 a person for the experience. Overall, I'm glad to see a boutique shop like this that's locally owned by a young, ambitious entrepreneur. My two cents, price lower and there is likely a higher amount of return customers for the chocolates, but I'll save you, the reader, the take on an entire business model diatribe here.

As for drinks, they are pricy due to the atmosphere/setting but they are quite tasty. Bartenders put a lot of love and detail into concocting them and it shows. Once you pick up your drink, you can either sit at the bar or one of the tables and lounge around; or (if you're adventurous) come up to the front and get your dance on. One thing I enjoyed about this spot was how my girlfriend and I could have a conversation with one another and not have to shout due to the volume. They serve food here too if you're hungry but I'm mainly here for the adult beverages, music, and vibes!

We went to the upstairs area which was dimly lit and played 80s/90s hip hop. We tried few drinks. Lion's mane tail, brown butter washed whisky, mushroom (which I found so unique). It was quite strong and was nice to switch up from the usual old fashions we try. Second drink was sharp turn. It was super fresh and crisp. Clear as water but I definitely felt it. Service was really good here too. I like that the bartenders all create their signature seasonal drinks so they genuinely are so well versed when describing the drink menu.

I thought that the catch 22 ( mocktail) would be too sweet or vinegar forward but it was tangy and light. My husband actually said he liked my mocktail more than he liked his cocktail which was good but a bit sweeter than he likes. The second mocktail I ordered was off the menu. I asked for something tropical and not too sweet. It was pretty good but not as complex as the catch 22. My husband liked the jaded merchant better than the dew drop. He also was sipping far too much of my mocktail which speaks volumes about how good it was. Love the moody vibes, drinks, and service. I've only visited three times but should make it one of the places we come to more often.
