"Aye Cannndy... Baby I got your money, dont you worry... lol" Not sure why this should be the theme song of this place, but in my head it makes total sense. This place is supppppper cute. The facade of a candy store (with free candy that my teeth dont need, but my brain wants is genuis). It is actually pronounced like Eye Candy, but can't help the "A." Anywho... This place is a vibe, great for a night cap, predinner starter, or a great date night! Parking: Parking is very limited so Valet only, although the Valet was a bit preoccupied so it was unclear. You can probably find street parking, but please read the signs first. Ambiance: This is a vibe for sure. A cool hang out spot. Service: The host in the front was super nice. She explained how the placed worked to a newbie like me and even have me a piece of candy. In the actual bar, we were greeted with smiles as well. The Table Host shared the menu, gave us some options and we ordered. Although it was a bit of a busy night, the Table Host continued to check on us. That was appreciated for sure. Drinks: The drinks are super cute. You can tell these are handcrafted by a mixologist who knows what they are doing! However, I will say that I got a drink that I dont usually and it was out of my league for sure. Probably won't get that again. So, the final question: Will you go back? Ummmm yeah!!! This place is cool so I'll be back for not only the drinks, but the vibes!!!

This is a lovely speakeasy that is disguised as a candy shop from the outside. In terms of parking, valet is the only option unless you park in the residential area across the street. Don't park in the stores next to Aye Candy because you will get towed. Valet is $10 from Friday-Sunday but free during the weekday. The iside is dimly lit and beautifully decorated. The bathrooms are also a vibe! My friend and I ordered the following: Royale This was actually recommended by the bartender when I asked him which drink is the sweetest. Royale was a solid choice and I wish I tried the flower because it's edible- next time :)! Aye Candy Gin & Tonic My friend ordered this and it was such a gorgeous drink! I loved how I was able to taste the rosemary and all the other elements that were incorporated. This was probably my favorite drink of the night. Espresso Flor Martini The Hello Kitty decoration hello?! So adorable!! And tasted lovely Cocosol The presentation with the hibiscus salt rim and flower was beautiful. We couldn't quite taste the lavender syrup since the tequila flavor was quite strong but still a good drink! Although the drinks were expensive, they are beautifully crafted and you can taste the quality. Not to mention, the servers here are very attentive and keen to detail. This is a good place to take/impress someone after you state "I know a place"

Aye Candy was a very unexpected speakeasy in the Spring Branch area. Tucked away behind this white exterior candy shop, Aye Candy is sure to please! Service wise, we made a reservation for 2 on a Thurs night 745pm. There was no problems getting checked in, they open the door and you're instantly transported to a hidden bar/lounge. We decided to sit at the bar so we could see all the action of them making the drinks. We tried their aye candy gin and tonic, a classic margarita, moradita shots, and their signature espresso flor martini. All of the drinks were craftfully made and presented beautifully. The ambiance here was perfect for an intimate date night. The only downside to coming here is that they don't really have any food options available. They offer a medium or large charcuterie board or candy as an option, but we didn't think it was worth ordering for the price. Overall, I'll definitely come back for a future date night. The speakeasy vibes are immaculate. Cheers!

A date night hot spot! My husband brought me here on a date and I loved it! It was easy to find and had a very fun entrance. The waitress was fun and energetic. We ordered the candy board, an old fashioned and the margarita flight. The drinks were all very delicious and well crafted. The candy board was nice because we had dinner prior to our date here and having dessert with drinks was so nice. It's a gorgeous bar, I will definitely return in the future.

Cute place! Intimate, cozy, chic with a unique vibe for spring branch/spring valley. The cocktails are quality which is the key to it all!I love their seasonality, keeping the drinks vibe fresh and fun. I will say, I DONT love that it's valet only. But otherthan that it was enjoyable and I would like to go back to experience it again.

I was really surprised by this place. The attention to service and detail was superb. The lighting and vibe is perfect for an intimate date night. The drinks are well balanced with the right amount of sweetness and alcohol. Easy to go down which can also lead to not realizing how tipsy you're getting. Looking for a good date night spot, give this place a try.

AyeCandy is so cute. I love the speakeasy theme of it looking like a candy shop from the outside but it actually being a cocktail bar. Most of the drinks I've had there have been delicious and the staff are super sweet too. I love that I can go there alone with a book and enjoy myself or bring friends. I believe they also bring in a live band some days of the week, which is cool too.

Aye Candy is a fun speakeasy with a fun theme (as mentioned in the name). When you walk in, you're in a little candy shop where you can feel free to eat whatever is on the wall - be careful though, most of the bagged candy has expired, hence why they tell you to take from the jars! When you enter the bar, it has a lounge feel to it. Some nice comfy sofas, a bar set up, and then a few intimate tables. The drinks were solid. They had a fun assortment and they found unique ways to implement candy into them as well!

$18 drink and after tax and tip it was about $25 it was delicious.

Cute spot to get drinks. It's a speakeasy but not really in the sense that the host walks you right in. The space is great. It's intimate and classy and clean. The drinks on the menu are well thought out. Landre who was bartending that night is amazing. If he isn't too busy, he'll spend time chatting it up if you'd like. I read a review that someone didn't get in due to ripped jeans. I had jeans on but one small tear below the knees. I wore a blouse and dress shoes and I was let in easy. It was also a Thursday night and I was on my own. I'm sure if you didn't have reservations and it was busier, they would be more selective on who they let in as first come first serve. They do take reservations if you want to secure a seat.

Loved this speakeasy! Great ambiance and vibe. It can be easily overlooked when looking for the lot. When we arrived using the GPS it took us to the lot next door. They offer free valet parking which was great because the lot next door was definitely sketchy. We were able to book a reservation the same day. We went it and was seated at the bar until out table was ready. Service was great. I was waiting to get my order taken and the manager saw me and served us. We were seated shortly after and got our first round of drinks. Presentation was great. All the drinks looked beautiful. My favorite was definitely the gin and tonic and the lychee shots! Our group of 4 was able to catch up although music got loud from time to time. I can't say how impressed I was with the service. They were so attentive and condtantly checked in on you. Definitely recommend and would be back.

We came here for a light Saturday dinner. We had a great experience. The decor is cozy, drinks were delish. Th only food they served is the charcuterie. This is more like a bar drinking experience. Staff were very attentive and friendly. We would love to come back here again.

AyeCandy is a cute and quaint cocktail bar located in the Spring Branch area of Houston. Because I decided to visit on a weeknight, parking was plentiful, but I would imagine on a weekend this being a potential issue. When I made it into the Speakeasy itself, I was struck by how beautiful it was inside. The music was not too loud, the focal point in the space (the bar) was well lit and designed and I loved the overall ambiance. Bartenders made the drinks really well and I was able to try a few drinks including: The Gold Escalade- While Mezcal does not work well in most drinks, pairing it with the pineapple and egg white balanced out that strong smoky flavor. The presentation was beautiful and I'd definitely get this again. Cocosol- The hibiscus salt rim gives this drink a really interesting look. I am a sucker for anything coconut flavored and this drink did not disappoint. Aesthetically beautiful, especially with the flower garnish. A touch on the sweeter side, but overall another solid creation. Overall I had a great experience and would absolutely visit again.

Medium Charcuterie board, Wonka-tini, and another old fashioned :)
Vy N.

Made reservations for a party of two and was accommodated wonderfully, even though I wasn't able to make it on time! Finding the place was a bit tricky since there's no signage near the big blue Progressive light, so keep an eye out for that. The exterior is absolutely adorable, giving off candy shoppe vibes, complete with jars of sweets that customers can help themselves to, such an adorable touch. Inside, the bar is stunning, and the drinks did not disappoint. We ordered the medium charcuterie board along with a Vanilla Old Fashioned and a Wonka-tini, and both cocktails were fantastic, so much so that we had a few rounds! Service was attentive, though maybe a little too much at times. Our server checked on us frequently, and our waters were topped off even before we had a chance to take a sip. The restrooms were clean, though on the smaller side, so I can imagine there might be a wait during busier hours. One thing that caught us by surprise was the automatic 20% gratuity added to our bill, especially since it was just the two of us. I usually tip generously on my own, so while I understand it's likely in place to ensure staff are compensated fairly (and probably explains the very hands-on service) although, I wish it had been mentioned beforehand, either on the website or when we called to make the reservation. Overall, though, this didn't take away from the experience. The atmosphere, drinks, and vibe make this a great spot for an intimate date night or a fun girls' night out. We'll definitely be back!

The drinks were solid, and the overall atmosphere was definitely a vibe. We went on a Saturday evening, so it was pretty crowded, but once we found our spot in the Gold Room, we stayed there most of the night. Great music, great energy, and a unique concept. Definitely worth checking out if you're looking for something different for a night out. Not sure how it took me this long to stumble in here. Parking is what it is downtown so, there's that.

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ

This place is nearly pitch black. And I'm not saying this to blow up anyone's spot, it probably is a great spot for couples but it just wasn't my scene, especially when I vouched that it was a good place for me and my guy friend to chill. Also, the bartender wouldn't give me and my friend the time of day. Love the concept and the door behind the bookshelf. However, just tell us what to do and step out the way. They stand right on top of you and it ruins the pictures/videos. We get inside and the vibe is great. Low lit and nice ambiance and decor. We go to the back and get seated. It was kind of awkward seating for four but it got the job done. Cool view out of the single window to the city below. Let's get to the drinks and service. Apparently, it was a newer menu and many of the drinks we were told about were no longer listed. The server was very strange and off-putting. She didn't do the best job describing the drinks at all and kept calling us "my babies". Four full grown adults being referred to as "babies" by a woman our age or younger was just weird and she did it a lot too. No one liked it. The drink I got was extremely overpriced and came in a tea cup- not my cup of tea. My friend asked for something creative using tequila and pineapple- she said "sure, we can make that. Do you prefer 1942 or clase azul?" I stepped in. I know you have more tequilas than your two most expensive options. Of course they did and she gave him more realistic options to mix with. Had I not stepped in, she would have taken advantage of him. None of us were impressed by the drinks, the prices or the service. None of the fun and fancy drinks were shown to us nor seen throughout the bar or other tables. No smoke, no big bubbles being popped, no treasure chest with a drink in lol This was an expensive let down. We do a ton of high end and expensive dinners and bars. This did not live up to the hype or price point. Extremely overrated and the strange service left a bad impression on all of us.

Its no longer enough to just go listen to a good DJ and buy drinks from the bar. These greedy club owners all want everything to be bottle service just to give you a sub par experience. I came here with 7 white people, I was the only black person in our group. We walked straight in no line and immediatly went to the bar where someone in the group ordered a round of drinks and someone else ordered a round of shots. We enjoyed the music a bit and someone else orders another round of drinks. My point is, we were spending money in this place. At some point someone figures out that the upstairs, which is sometimes roped off for private events was open and there was no one up there and the bar was open. Being a group of 8 we migrated there for more space and settled into one of the lounge areas with a coffee table and sofas. There was no bouncer standing at the stairs, no rope, nothing. We just walked straight in. Up here we ordered another round of drinks and another round of shots in 30 minutes. By this time other patrons noticed us move to this area so people from downstairs were now filing in and some had sat at the other lounge area adjacent to us (all black people). We were enjoying the music and drinks when a bouncer comes up and tells someone in my party that if we wanted to sit there we had to buy a bottle for $1000 or said we would have to leave the lounge area. Now since when does a standard bottle of liquor for a section cost $1000 in Houston?! This is not Miami, who do you think you're talking to? Moreover, why was our group singled out and asked to purchase a bottke but the other lounge area with all black patrons were left alone? I straight up asksed the bouncer if he was asking the other area to buy a $1000 bottle and he just shrugged his shoulders and said "I dont make the rules" whatever that means. To make matters worse one of my friends was actually about to buy a bottle until I stepped in. I was tipsy but not so tipsy that I would let my friend be strongarmed by there unfair business practices. Literally the collective amount of drinks in everyones hands upstairs didnt add up to $1000 but you want to single us out for one $1000 bottle? I'll never step foot in this place again and will be looking into filing a formal compaint with the appropraite governing body about what took place.

I thought that the catch 22 ( mocktail) would be too sweet or vinegar forward but it was tangy and light. My husband actually said he liked my mocktail more than he liked his cocktail which was good but a bit sweeter than he likes. The second mocktail I ordered was off the menu. I asked for something tropical and not too sweet. It was pretty good but not as complex as the catch 22. My husband liked the jaded merchant better than the dew drop. He also was sipping far too much of my mocktail which speaks volumes about how good it was. Love the moody vibes, drinks, and service. I've only visited three times but should make it one of the places we come to more often.
