The vibe feels similar to H-Town Brewing Co. but on a smaller scale. You can also sit at the bar. I didn't really like the high tables/chairs. They're not as comfortable. It was hot out, and there are mosquitos, so we sat inside. I ordered the salmon plate for steak night. The drinks here are ok, and since I don't really drink, I was looking for mocktail options. In this era, most places have mocktail options with brand alternatives like Ritual, Seedlip and Lyre's or at the least, something with juice, Topo Chico and simple syrup. The female bartender made me a NA margarita which was great. I liked that she didn't make it too sweet or too tart which happens with mocktails that don't have alternatives and are mostly juice or lemon. On the other hand, when I ordered a second, the guy bartender made it too sweet. I didn't like his version. For the alcoholic versions, they seem to have good cocktails, wine, beer and flights. They also have daily specials. Aside from the steak night, they don't serve food here. It wouldn't be my first choice of bars in this area.

In the past, this place was under construction but now we saw the finished product which happened to be an attractive looking business. We opened the door to a bar with a few patrons and questioned if they were even open. Lanre who was behind the bar welcomed us in and took great care of us on our visit. The inside of the place is beautiful. It is not too large but they maximized the space with plenty of seating. Drink prices are on par with other fancy cocktail spots around town which is getting a little high for my liking. They have a signature cocktail menu, but also have reserved bottles of fancy spirits, champagne, mocktails and wine. I did see some beer in a fridge as well. If you need a little snack, they do have some light bar bites. I needed a little pick me up so I went with the Midnight Ritual. It was a rum drink with cold brew , cinnamon cream and mole bitters. This drink was beautifully presented, but was just ok as far as flavors go. It was one note when I was hoping for hints of all the flavors listed. Drinkable though. I did get to try the Gold Standard, Forbidden Bite and Midnight Drip. Now those drinks were really good in their own ways. The Midnight Drip came with a larger price tag, but it had Hennessy VSOP. Easily my favorite drink there. It was the coffee forward drink I was looking for. Overall, this was a solid, neighborhood spot. The drinks and vibes were cool. The only things that stood out to me that I wasn't a fan of was an automatic 20% gratuity is included in every check no matter if you are drinking solo or with a group. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. I think we played a total of 5-6 rounds with breaks in between and each round is a different goal (e.g. regular bingo, making an X, blackout, etc) with a different prize and the prizes gradually get bigger. Since the tables were all full, lots of people were either sitting around the stage, or on the turf, or standing on the back patio. Parking was super crowded.
