I've been to Plume once. The most recent was on a Wednesday at 7:30. Located in The Heights, this cocktail bar is in a residential area. They have a small parking lot, where I found parking for free. If you're out of luck, there's parking on the various side streets close to the bar. And if you're looking to hop around, while in a residential area, Plume is close to a bunch of bars on what I like to call bar row in The Heights e.g. Cedar Creek, McIntryre's, etc. Ambiance (4.5/5): This is one of the areas in which Plume shines. It's chic. It's sophisticated. The decor is impressive. Whether you're sitting at the bar, the seating outside of the bar, and the patio. It makes for a nice date spot. Service (3/5): Service, overall, was good, though a bit inconsistent at times. They also hit one of my pet peeves which I'm on a mission to mention again and again to the establishments that do it. You pay using those electronic devices. They don't show you an itemized receipt before you pay. Just some random amount. Come on guys! Show the customer what they're paying for before they actually pay. I asked for an itemized receipt, and they accommodated me, but I shouldn't have to ask for it. Food (4/5): On Wednesday's, they have a special pasta and wine deal for two. Outside of that, there menu mostly consists of small bites. we did the prosciutto flatbread which exceeded expectations. Rather than prosciutto on top of bread, the prosciutto was stuffed inside the flatbread with melted cheese. It was delicious! One of those dishes where I would come back and order it again and again rather than try something new. Drinks (4/5): Plume is a cocktail bar and they have a good number of craft cocktails (including seasonal selections). I started off with the Oaxacan Old Fashioned (think an Old Fashioned with mezcal) followed by the Plume G&T. What struck me about their G&T is that cantaloupe was one of the ingredients listed. Unfortunately, it was just a garnish. I thought it was incorporated into the drink itself. It was still nice to have a slice of cantaloupe in my drink though. The drinks are good, though a bit overpriced.
Perfect score all around from the service to the decor to the food !! Definitely will be back !!
Thursday night. Soooooo busy on a Thursday night. (7-9pm is when we were there) It is a truly beautiful place but the layout is a bit tragic. Honestly where we were sitting I really could not thoroughly enjoy myself because our backs were facing the bar area and there were so many people who kept on congregating there. That left a very very very thin place to walk through that even the servers had difficulty getting through let alone getting through with food and drinks. I hated it so much. Lmbo. The only thing that kept my mind off of it was my organization. That's it. It was so frustrating and I'm not someone who likes to be touched all the time so everyone touching me and hitting me and pushing me and jerking me it was just aggravating. The layout is terrible. You're fine if you get seating in the couch part facing the bar but other than that.. tragic. The mocktails here are super expensive. $12 for maybe three to four sips is a travesty. I tried: MOTHER OF MOCKTAILS: Dragonfruit, Mango, Lime, Pebble Ice. We asked them to make them look super festive and they were quite beautiful. And absolutely delicious. 9 out of 10. KYOTO GLOW SPRITZ Seedlip 108, Pineapple, Yuzu, Ginger, Lionsmane, Allulose, Topped with Topo. This was a huge disappointment. Beautiful to look out but absolutely disgusting. They were asking me what it tasted like and I said old stale coconut water with a hint of overripe pineapple. Gag. 1/10 (and that one point is for presentation only because it was a pretty drink) We ordered some appetizers. The one that I tried was:Cheese & Charcuterie Board A spread of artisanal cheeses, cured meats, and seasonal accompaniments. 5/10. Nothing special. A pretty basic charcuterie board. But it was beautifully displayed. Overall ... I would like to try some items on their advance menu and the rest of the mocktails because I don't want to judge based on my experience last night.
I went here for happy hour before going to dinner with the girls for a birthday. We were seated right away, and there is a parking lot. We ordered a mixture of happy hour options. There's almost a pre-happy hour, and a regular happy hour. So if you get there early enough, there are some additional specials. All of our drinks were really good, but I especially like the espresso martini. I would definitely go back for happy hour. I'd say just to check their menu menu for the specials and happy hour times in advance.
Popped by this new-ish cocktail bar and lounge on a Sunday evening (holiday weekend) before our dinner reservation which was also in the neighborhood. We arrived around 6pm and snagged a table in the bar area. The bar has a DJ on site and a fun vibe but service was a little on the slow side. We had to ask for our table to be wiped down because it was super sticky and no one came to take our order for almost 15 minutes. She was very apologetic and acknowledged that they were understaffed at the moment but there was also only one other table and maybe 4-6 at the bar when we arrived. My husband liked his espresso martini but said that the inclusion of licor 43 wasn't his favorite. We didn't order any food but if we had come after dinner instead of before I for sure would have ordered the chocolate truffles from Mostly Chocolates which is my favorite chocolate spot in town. We don't live in the area so I'm not sure that we will be back often but this seems like a really fun place to come with girlfriends or go to late night.
Plume is situated in the Heights just around the corner from all the other Shady Acre bars. The vibe... honestly it was just ok. Amongst all the other dives it kinda sticks out (the goal?). We went on a weeknight just around 6pm. No crowd, otherwise it's a "no". We had no problem finding parking but.. weeknight. Maybe a return? Nothing really extra special. Except the eggs.. ! Best bar with amazing bar tender! Went during happy hour and loved the meatballs, espresso martini, and old fashioned. During HH (Tues-Fri 4-6p), these are only $10. The vibe of the restaurant and bar area is luxury meets friendly and we can't wait to go back ! Oh... and the restrooms are really cool !
This place is a vibe! The drinks/food was amazing and the bartenders were very friendly. This is a hidden gem in Houston, and I highly recommend.
Came to Plume with my girlfriends on a Thursday evening. This place is very nice and classy. Upon arrival we were greeted by the doorman and he asked if we had a reservation. We didn't and he directed us to the tables that had not been reserved. Our waitress was very nice and gave us a rundown of the menu. We enjoyed a few options and of course indulged in the cocktails. The price point ranged from $14 to $20 for food and drinks.
The carajillo I got was amazing, but it wasn't strong and such little liquid for how expensive it was. I do love the decorations and atmosphere in this place though, the DJ was good!
Hollywood decadence and Art Deco meets Southern hospitality and Houston modern flair. I may not have made it to be an A-List Hollywood actor, but visiting Plume made me feel like I did. I haven't had this much fun from a first visit to anywhere. When I say run, I mean shower, throw on your business casual or dress to impress garments and arrive safely in style! Great for groups, date night or solo wanderer. I was only staying for one drink, but below you'll determine what happened as I became the main character, made new friends, while enjoying the night and having a great time. Ambiance: 5/5 With its elevated Hollywood decadence mixed with southern hospitality, this place makes you feel like the movie star of your story. With complimentary valet available, who doesn't enjoy that? (Recommendation, bring cash to tip the valet, they definitely earned it.) Dress code is business casual. Sorry but leave the flip flops and athletic wear at home. I haven't even gotten inside and I am already feeling like a star. Upon entering, you are immersed in the sights of regal and opulence with this nights musical vibes that seemed to come off my (EDM) playlist which of course I thoroughly enjoyed! I also might have Shazamed a couple of songs to add to my list. Thanks. I got to sit at my favorite part of the bar, the corner but also at the main entry. I got to see and experience it all. I was definitely meant to stop in this day. They also have a small outdoor area at the entry with cocktail tables and minimal seating if you need to step away from all the fun for a bit. Also recommend making reservations if you're wanting a table, as it can get busy and also makes the visit seamless and like you're on the red carpet. Service/Food: 5/5 I didn't have food, though they do offer it and also have brunch, which I'll have to return for. This visit was solely bespoke drinks by libations experts Joel, Kiana and Alex. The three of them went above and beyond to make sure my experience was 10's across the board. They refilled my water regularly and remembered my name. When I stepped away to the water closet, they placed a napkin on my drink. Below are the few drinks I tried and each one was curated to indulge the taste buds and leave you wanting more. Balanced and full of flavor for each cocktail as they were artisanally crafted. Clover Club - a simple, yet sophisticated gin based drink, while I'm usually not a fan of egg white, you don't taste the egg the raspberry syrup and lemon pair so well you finish and got a shot of protein. See mom, I may drink, but also get my protein in! Old Fashioned - my usual go to and favorite, good old friend, old fashioned. Balanced flavor with rye whiskey, good if you like whiskey and can't decide on their vast cocktail offerings. Espresso Martini - when you need a pick me up from having worked hard or just enjoy a boozy espresso, can never go wrong with this. Rich & Dirty - fancy vodka martini, I probably could've asked to use gin, but left it as the menu had it. And it has blue cheese olives, very fancy and delicious! Fall N' Apple - my favorite season (autumn) in a glass with my favorite spirit, gin! I want more! Eastsider - I don't believe it's on the menu, I've never had one, but spirits architect, Joel, graciously made me one and that drink was like summer in a glass. Keeping with my gin libation love, it was refreshing and just rounded out how well the fine cocktail curators at Plume know their stuff. Thank you! To finish the night, the manager, Chris, was walking around interacting with everyone. Got to talk to him for a bit and appreciated him and his staff for making my experience at Plume unforgettable. So much so, I'm ready to return and maybe become a regular to what I believe is truly an exceptional cocktail lounge.
Tried out the date night, 2 pasta dishes and a bottle of wine for $50. I had the portabella mushroom pasta and my partner had the creamy cajun pasta, both were very good!! The service is always so good here, from bartenders to wait staff. Definitely worth checking out, the food, drinks and service never disappoint.
So we went for a girls night on Friday night and let me tell you it was not packed so perfect for me! Dj was great with house music. It's an upscale bar in the Heights super neighborhood, friendly with complementary valet, I'm in my mocktail era and these were amazing! I got the naked in paradise

Came here for a friend's birthday party recently on a Saturday night and we had a great time. Our server impressively managed our whole group of 30+ people efficiently and quickly. The DJ was also bumpin'! Song choices were fitting and he mixed the music seamlessly which made the vibes so much more fun. We loved the Prosciutto Flatbread, the toppings were generous and the crust was perfectly chewy but crispy. We also got the Papas Bravas, which was pretty standard. For drinks, we got the Situationship, Lychee Lemon Drop, Smooth Operator, and Blue Tile IPA. All the cocktails were very tasty and perfectly balanced. Food and drinks here are definitely on the pricier side for a typical Houston bar. read more

The restaurant is beautiful, with a nice, romantic aesthetic. I went on a weekday and parking was easy/free in the parking lot. The deviled eggs were very good, but the meatballs were just okay. The servers were nice and made recommendations on the menu for us. Be warned that this restaurant does not allow take-away for leftovers. They do not even own take-way containers. My friend and I ordered several appetizers to nibble on with plans to take the leftovers home. But upon requesting to-go or takeaway, they informed us that the restaurant does not support the practice of leftovers so we had to leave so much food at the restaurant. read more

I recently visited Plume and had a great experience overall. The cocktails were one of the highlights of the evening--refreshing, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The food was equally impressive. We ordered - flatbread and the potato and brisket skillet. Both dishes were delicious. The flavors were well executed and the portions were perfect for sharing. My only complaint was that the music was too loud, especially for a Sunday afternoon. It made conversation at the table more difficult than I would have liked. That said, the food and drinks were delicious and I'm already looking forward to returning. I've heard great things about their Tuesday steak night, and I'm excited to come back and give it a try! read more

Walking into Plume feels like stepping into Old Hollywood glam.The interior is glam and velvet seating, rich jewel tones, and metallic accents give it a very luxurious, fashion-forward vibe. The peacock-feather motif is woven throughout, adding a whimsical yet elegant touch. Perfect for a date night or a night out with your girls. This is very much a cocktail-lounge-first establishment. The mixology is creative and playful and so very delicious!! The food menu is tapas-style, meant to pair with drinks. You'll find small bites like meatballs in a chipotle ragout, bacon-wrapped dates stuffed with blue cheese, papas bravas, and deviled eggs. Which by the way were very tasty! It's not just a place to grab a drink -- it's a destination. Whether you want to sip cocktails in a glamorous setting, enjoy a laid-back themed brunch, or dance into the night with friends, Plume delivers for sure!! I love this bar! It's the perfect place for a craft cocktail and great vibes. They recently updated the menu and I have zero complaints. The roasted oysters are a hit (and apparently they're half off on Thursdays)! The staff is always super welcoming and they have great drink suggestions. They change the menu out seasonally which I LOVE! This is def a great spot for a date or girls night. read more

Plume is a very cute LA or Miami esque decorated restaurant. All we need is oalm trees outside and we'd be in another land. We went here for my friends birthday yesterday. We are an hour shy of the 4 or 5 o clock Saturday Happy Hour which offered 6 or 8 dollar drinks. The mon happy hour price is 15-22 a drink. The bartenders and waitresses were very nice and knowledgeable about the menu and drinks. Everything was decorated sooo cute. They don't really have a food food menu just small bites such as tuna, charcuterie, small potatoes and meatballs. I got the meatballs. The sauce was sooo good but the meatballs tasted kind of like the meat out of the ravioli can so I wouldn't try those again. The potatoes were good! The drinks were good too. I will be back for the weekday and early Saturday Happy Hour! read more

Decided to give plume a try for an impromptu girls night out, and I wasn't disappointed. The decor is gorgeous to say the least- very much a modernistic art deco vibe. The staff is really sweet and inviting. We originally were sat at a table but chose to move to the bar. Every recommendation was a 10/10 - drinks and food. Love that you get a free shot of your choice on Thursday if it's your birthday season, and thankfully I was able to celebrate Virgo season with a girl crush shot which was sooo good we had to order another round! We also tried the porn start martini, the lychee lemon drop martini, and the London fog Carajillo- amazinggggg! Shoutout to AJ! I know Houston is inundated with cocktail bars popping up left and right, but I really hope this one is around for the long haul. Its not pretentious and they actually make you feel wanted there - go figure. I definitely want to return on a night where it's a little bit more of a bigger crowd but overall 10/10 without a doubt. read more

Tucked away in this residential area of apartments and townhomes in The Heights is Plume, and it is the epitome of posh. It has a swanky feel like Great Gatsby/Old Hollywood. The Christmas decor was up but fit the vibe. I love the art deco, black and white elements on the floor and tabletops, gold fixtures and velvet booth and chair seating. We got here around last call on a Tuesday evening. They were closing at midnight but usually are open till 2 am later in the week. I had the Clover Club gin cocktail. I'm a fan of cocktails topped off with egg whites. I saw they had a French 75, which is my go-to, so I'll be back to try that! Aside from cocktails, they also have mocktails, shots and tapas-like food options like deviled eggs on avocado toast, charcuterie, hummus, shrimp cocktail, etc. This cocktail lounge would be perfect for a night out with the ladies or a date night. Sit on the patio or inside. You can't go wrong with photo ops. They just opened at the end of July. I hope they lure in a more sophisticated clientele than the bars a couple blocks down. Food is great! The meatballs are my personal favorite. Service is a 10/10 we always go and make friends with the bartenders they're all fantastic. Ambiance is 10/10 this place is the best. Been here many times before for cocktails and happy hour. The cocktails are the best in the area hands down. We came for brunch today and let me say, "AMAZING"! The staff is always amazing, attentive, and we always have a great time. read more
Plume is a great option if your looking for a nice place to hang out and have well made cocktails. You can tell they're trying to set themselves apart and try to be over the top (not usually my thing but I get it I guess), but gotta give them points for excellent drinks and service. I had an old fashioned and it's probably one of the better ones I've had in the area. They also have good snack options if you need to have something to eat after a few drinks. read more
Ambiance: Swanky & upscale bar + lounge in The Heights filled floor-to-ceiling with Instagram worthy photo ops & decor. 10/10 Aesthetics & ambiance! High top tables inside and outside, bar seating, & lounging areas. Many tables were reserved during the peak hours of business, but we still enjoyed our time. Great spot for a date night, upscale evening out, or for enjoying craft cocktails. I highly recommend the Hugo Spritz or Espresso Martini! Does get busy on weekend nights but seemed to clear out a bit as the night went on - I would recommend either coming here when they open at after 11pm if you want indoor seating. A bit pricey but worth it IMO for the quality of cocktails. These are some of the best cocktails I've had in a long time! GNO on Friday night! Definitely a cute cocktail bar and feeling the Hollywood vibe ! Seating is first come first serve and baby is it hard to get a place to sit. There was reserved seating but from i remember from the website it's for parties 6 or greater. Drinks- I tried the Chai & Catch Me & Agave Buzz. So good agave buzz reminded me of carajillo if you're familiar with those. Service - the bartenders brought some entertainment while mixing drinks and it was nice to watch them. Swanky new bar in the neighborhood. I stopped by around 4:30 on a Friday and it was already hopping. The interior is super luxe and the service is friendly. I only docked one star because a couple of the drinks could use some more balance - the espresso martini was way too espresso-heavy and not sweet enough, whereas the Hugo spritz was a bit too sweet. The army & navy was good. There is a small parking lot in front and they also have valet. This area is so full of sports bars and dives and clubby bars with pounding music that it's really nice having a more swanky bar open up for a different vibe. read more
The best drinks, the best food, the best service. If you haven't been here yet you are definitely missing out. It has something for everyone here. Also, the ambiance is very inviting and comfortable. As long as this place is open I will be a regular! read more

Last night at Plume was so worth the wait!! I don't get out much these days so I've had my eye on this place for a while!! Drinks are incredible. Food was delicious!!! Definitely order the Ahi Tuna Thanks to Chris Amez, our night here was perfect!!! read more
The menu has a cool variety - lots of flavored shots and takes on classic drinks + the classic drinks. You can sit at the bar, in a seated area or by the DJ. Super cool DJ played great mixes and even played the electric guitar read more

Ambience was a tad stuffy for my friend and I but the drinks were decent I just would have liked the music to be a little better lower since we could barley hear anything while talking to each other and server. read more

Does this place have any door people at the entrance?
Yes we do! Chad will mainly be the door guy on duty! There are some hours that we do not have a door guy, but he's there probably 70% of the time, and always during the busy hours.
