Looking for something different around the office - decided to pop in...so glad we did! **it's in the same center with DSW and Home Goods Arrived around 12 - plenty of seating. Hostess was very nice and our waitstaff was friendly, helpful with understanding menu items and fun. Everything on the menu looked delish! - it was hard to choose! We had the chicken wrap w sweet potato fries, ginger chicken salad and a side of mac and cheese. The fries were perfect. Wrap was very good. Salad was fresh and tasty. Mac was cooked perfectly and the right amount of cheesiness.

Came here for a quick bite for lunch and the food was amazing. The quinoa bowl is definitely filling with lots of assorted veggies. One bowl with all the nutrients you need. The wings are average, they were really soft which was kind of weird. The environment was nice and I definitely want to visit during their happy hour. The waiter was really attentive and friendly.

Amazing restaurant with great food and excellent customer service. I love this staple for delicious healthy food options. I had the Oriental Salad and opted to add grilled salmon for protein. My table mates ordered the Chicken salad croissant sandwich, which the owner later came and sat with us and shared the story of how her mother prepared it for her and the secret ingredient that makes it so delicious. She shared stories of each dish on the menu and its significance in her life or her sons, and why they were chosen. The food is consistently great each and every time I visit and the customer service is the best. Definitely visit this beautiful venue with great food. Lots of vegan and gluten free options and their cocktail selection is the best.

Came for a solo HRW experience - the staff were very welcoming and my waitress was knowledgeable of the menu and offered great suggestions. I started off with a drink off their happy hour menu (which was generous, like weekdays 3-6pm). I got a spicy margarita for $7 that was refreshing & had a nice kick. 1st & 2nd course came out together: Caesar salad & turkey samosa were quite good! The salad had the addition of sundried tomatoes & Brussels sprouts to elevate their take of the traditional Caesar. The samosas tasted fresh and warm but I wish it had a tad more spice or flavor to it. 3rd course: Lamb chops were fairly decent, a bit on the smaller size. HRW portion only comes with 1 lamb chop so I paid extra for an additional lamb chop (honestly much needed because otherwise it wouldn't have been filling). Flavor-wise, the sauce was a sweet apricot so be mindful of it and the broccoli was bland. 4th course: tiramisu was delicious! It's made in house and was the perfect treat to end the meal. Their regular menu seemed extensive so I'd come back to explore more meals.

I came in a Saturday for brunch. We sat at the bar and service was ok. I ordered a mimosa and my entree. Unfortunately my first order had a hair in it. We brought it to our server's attention and she sent over the manger. The manger had it remade and took it off my bill which was very generous. The second time was a charm as the food was very good and filling. Bathroom was clean and huge parking lot out front as it's in a plaza of businesses.

I've ordered from here and been here many times and I love the jalapeno pasta, it is so flavorful and huge, I love having it for leftovers. Comes with broccoli and mushrooms so I love getting my veggies in as well. I can tell the food here is made with good ingredients because I have a sensitive stomach and it isn't bothered too much by the food I eat here! The chickpea wrap is flavorful with their tzatziki sort of sauce on the side. I've had the Caesar salad and that was super flavorful! This lemonade was so refreshing. They have outdoor seating, a bar inside and friendly staff that greets you when you come in and when you leave. It's American food with a bit of a spin, Mediterranean influence as well.

Me and my friends were looking for something healthy near the memorial city area and found this place through Yelp. As a vegetarian they had many vegetarian items so we decided to go here! It was 12pm on a Sunday and I was thankful they had a huge plaza parking lot. We were seated and checked out the menu, there were so many options- the jalapeño pasta looked good for us so 3/4 of us decided to order it. I am a bit sensitive to spicer food but thought it's just jalapeños so I could handle it. When the pasta came it was hot! It was creamy yet spicy and flavored so well! I also tried some of the truffle fries we got as a table and they were also Flavored well! So yum! We had a great time here as vegetarians! I do want to go back and try some of their other options. Highly recommend in memorial area!

Eat local, eat often! Service and atmosphere: The service was outstanding during our visit. The staff were friendly, helpful, attentive, and knowledgeable. The restaurant was clean, spacious, organised, and played good music. You can choose your table both inside and outside. Food and drinks: The menu was well designed and helped navigating through various food and drinks selection. The food choices were great. All dishes ordered arrived on time were well presented and tasted great too. Good hearty fresh ingredients that were well seasoned and delivered on the flavours front. Pricing: $$ - worth the flavours and great customer experience.

If Ember & Greens has no fans then I'm dead.. lol I honestly loveee this place. The food is amazing and the customer service is fantastic. This has quickly become one of my favorite restaurants. I always order the skewers! So much food and so flavorful, it comes with the quinoa it's so fresh and light and lemony. The sriracha cauliflower bites are so dang good too! I've made my friends and coworkers come here doing restaurant weeks and I converted them to being big fans! Their deal came with the an appetizer, a main, and a dessert! When my friend and I ordered the crème brûlée and they ran out, they comped our dessert and we got to choose a different one that wasn't on the restaurant weeks menus which was so nice. Again I love this place, so I recently had them cater for my birthday party. The owner I believe is Iman and he was the sweetest when we were communicating to have everything good to go for my event. They delivered it for free and everyone loved the food. Couldn't recommend this place enough!!

5-Star Review -- Ember & Greens (Houston, TX) Stopped in for brunch at Ember & Greens, and what an amazing experience! Ordered the Chicken & Waffles (perfectly crispy and delicious! ), the Coal-Fire Roasted Shakshouka -- full of bold flavor -- along with Fresh Bread & Garlic Olive Oil to start. Everything was beautifully presented and tasted even better than it looked. What really set this visit apart was the incredible hospitality. The owner personally came to our table to welcome us and made us feel truly valued as guests. You don't find that level of personal attention everywhere -- it made the whole experience extra special. Definitely planning to return to explore more of the menu. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a fantastic brunch or a standout meal in Houston!

    Al Pastor Flatbread
    Jason Z.

Located in a shopping plaza alongside I-10 with plenty of parking in front. There are both indoors and outdoor seating and the menu focuses on the healthier options that have more greens and grilling; they also have a pizza oven indoors hence the pizza and flatbread options on the menu. We got cauliflower bites and brussel sprouts for apps. Both were solid and tasty; I would've opted for a different sauce for the cauliflower that was less heavy. I got the chipotle ensalada for my main with steak and the Al pastor flatbread. The dressing on the salad wasn't really to my liking and the salad was a bit too reliant on iceberg lettuce vs higher grade greens like arugula or others. The steak was also a bit underseasoned and bland. The flatbread was tasty and could've been a pizza instead to better hold the sauce and toppings. Service was fine and it seemed like a fairly popular spot for the younger audience. Solid spot overall.

The vibe inside is super cute with mood lighting and plenty of intimate seating spaced throughout. Parking in said shopping center is sparse. I'm not sure if parking is allowed at the neighboring businesses after hours, but I wanted to play it safe and ended up waiting about 15 minutes for someone to vacate their space. Our group had a couple of tables reserved and they had no problem having everyone pay on separate tabs. Service is offered both at the table and bar. Our waiter was attentive and had great recommendations for wine. When I was conflicted between two whites, he graciously brought me out both to taste and decide. I went with the Cacciabruco Malvasia/Trebbiano, which is a skin-contact white wine, so it had more of a reddish hue to it and almost looked like a rose in the dim lighting of the restaurant. I really liked this, as it was on the drier side and satisfied my palate more than the Gewürztraminer that I had also sampled. I didn't try the food but others in our party really liked the flatbreads they ordered. I do want to try these out next time because I know they will pair great with the wine! I'm glad I finally discovered this place! I'll definitely be back for happy hour and even a date night. With so many good places popping up in in Spring Branch, I'm sure this will become a regular spot for drinks before dinner

There are books abound, along the walls, in the bathroom, everywhere. I had a glass of Experience, a Californian Cabernet Sauvignon. It was a good pour, not too little or too much and the taste was deep, well balanced and smooth. Since the event took place around dinner time I also had a Fig and Speck flatbread. The fig, prosciutto and other toppings complimented each other well. The flatbread dough itself was ok but could've benefited from a little more flavor such as some garlic, butter and herbs. I also would've liked it a bit thinner so I could taste less of the bread and more of those delicious toppings. Don't get me wrong it was good and I ate all of it but these are small suggestions I'd recommend to bring it to perfection. I could see parking and seating being tricky. I was fortunate to snag a parking spot on the side of the building near the auto place and once inside I found a seat at a table with a lovely couple, another couple joined us soon after. Many of the guests who arrived later stood at first and then halfway through the event, made their way to the floor where they sat cross legged. All in all, The Library was a nice establishment and although a little out of my way, I'd return for another event or if I were in the area again.

Bar Bludorn, unfortunately, is not there yet... and that contrast is impossible to ignore. Let's start with the good: the food is delicious. An honest 8/10. You can absolutely get a fantastic filet mignon here, arguably one of the best in the city. The kitchen knows what it's doing, no question. Now the problem: the service. For a restaurant charging Bludorn-level prices, the hospitality was shockingly absent. Our server seemed completely disengaged, as if we were an inconvenience rather than guests. There was no warmth, no attention, no sense that anyone cared whether we were enjoying ourselves, or even planned to come back. It felt transactional at best, indifferent at worst. Bar Bludorn positions itself as a polished, elevated dining experience, but the service told a very different story. When the hospitality misses this hard, it overshadows even good food. And in Houston, where you can get incredible steaks, thoughtful service, and better value all over the city, there's simply no reason to settle. Bludorn remains exceptional. Bar Bludorn, at least for now, feels like a concept still finding its footing while charging full price for the destination it wants to be. Until the service catches up to the ambition, we won't be returning.

One of our friends who arrived early got to switch us to a booth since we'd have a few plates to share for the four of us. My friend and I shared the NA red sangria. I liked that there was a NA option for that, and you can choose either red or white. We ordered a pitcher since we were sharing. It was delicious and refreshing. I think I had about 3 wine glasses of it. Our group shared the red fish à la plancha, patatas bravas, spinach frittata, olive oil pancakes and bacon-wrapped dates. Some of the dishes were bigger than others. Tapas is meant to be small plates, and they were, but it's a little overpriced. For example, the red fish was $15.50 for maybe 2 oz of fish. The stack of olive oil pancakes were small and thin for $8.50. If you're sharing, it's not that much food. I was going to order another personal stack of olive oil pancakes because that cinnamon butter was so good! I decided not to after I let all of what we ordered and drank settle for a bit after. The valdeon whipped blue cheese under the bacon-wrapped dates didn't taste very good and seemed grainy to me. It was my least favorite. The standouts for me were the olive oil pancakes, spinach frittata that was actually loaded with more veggies and bell peppers and the patatas bravas which was piled with potatoes topped with mayo that melted down and looked almost like melted cheese on top. It's a fun place for friends to gather or a cute date spot. You may or may not be hungry after depending what you order. There are larger plates/entrees like paella and branzino to share.
