I decided to celebrate my birthday here and I must say I was disappointed. There was only 2 other tables. I ordered a drink from the bar and 15 minutes later I asked the server and she said " sometime the bartender forgets to check the tickets". That is not a good thing with only 2 other tables. My wife and I are exploring new restaurants, and this one caught my eye. As senior citizens, we showed up at 4 p.m. on a Saturday, so parking was not an issue. The center parking lot is huge, but it includes a movie theater and other restaurants such as Dave and Buster's next door. The restaurant is beautiful with its five large murals. In addition to its regular menu, there was a bargain $49 three course menu. My wife ordered the salmon dinner which was excellent. I ordered one of the three pizzas at just $19. I was searching Yelp for new restaurants, and this place came up. I made reservations a day prior. When we arrived there was nowhere to park, we drove around for about 10 minutes and finally decided to park pretty far away. The restaurant was mostly empty when we came in. I ordered a cherry sidecar cocktail, that was absolutely fantastic, one of the best cocktails I've ever had! We ordered off of the holiday 3 course menu. We got the lobster bisque, and goat cheese. The lobster bisque was awful, it had too much tomato paste, and the 2 pieces of lobster still tasted frozen. It had a very fishy smell. They were out of the Halibut, but they substituted the fish with redfish. The entire dish was delicious. My husband ordered the short rib papardelle pasta, I thought the dish was good but not great. We ordered the cookies and cream and the pecan squares for dessert. Both were good but nothing great. Overall pretty good place read more

Went back and most likely will go back again! Tried to get a table at first but of course went back to sit at the bar because they're just so nice even though I accidentally ordered every appetizer I read on the menu. The staff is absolutely welcoming and still hilarious. They recommend the spicy tuna bites of course and they were delicious with Serrano used to make them have a perfect spicy kick which I of course ate the entire plate accidentally. My favorite was the charcuterie board actually, it came with prosciutto, salami, sausage, age white cheddar, sliced Brie, and a great fruit pairing of fruit to balance everything out. Even the couple next to me ordered it because I asked to have them all brought together with the New York strip which I didn't even get to. Their menu is extremely unique with every type of option so I wanted to try a little bit of everything. 100% will go back to try the entrees I couldn't get to. read more

I've been to Warehouse 72 several times since my first review and want to update with the latest. The food is very good, with some dishes being excellent. On past visits we've tried many dishes so I'm posting some so you can see the marked improvement since my review a couple of years ago. Of particular note on the dinner menu is the Purvian Roast Chicken (no pic), Tuffle Pasta, Seafood Risotto, Black Truffle Arancini and Roasted Beet Salad w/Goat Cheese. On the brunch menu I love the Chicken and Waffles, and Pork Belly, Spam and Eggs. I loved there pork chop but unfortunately it's no longer on the menu. Service is always great and Daniel takes good care of us. Not sure why Warehouses 72 is crowded, sometime for brunch there are on a few tables occupied. They also have some great special events with wine dinners, whiskey dinners, and more. read more

Our party of 7 had dinner here this past Friday. We found Warehouse 72 through the Houston Restaurant Weeks promotion. I selected the Meatballs Parmigiana as my first course. The meatballs were tender and delicious. I tried my friend's Fried Mozzarella, and it was delicious too. They make their own Mozzarella, so it wasn't the standard frozen cheese sticks. For my main course I got the blackened Salmon over whipped potatoes. I absolutely loved it. My other friend got the duck, and he thought it was just ok. He tried my salmon and loved it too. I got the chocolate hazelnut torte as my dessert. I must say the texture was a tad spongy. I did like that it wasn't overly sweet, but overall, I probably would not get it again. My friend's husband got the strawberry trifle and said it was delicious. Margaret was our server. She was thorough and attentive without being intrusive. We will definitely request her in the future. We could not be more pleased with our service and the food. While the ambiance was higher end it wasn't stuffy. We highly recommend and we are looking forward to having dinner here again. read more

Came in for a bite to eat before we went to Immersive Gamebox. They serve brunch on weekends until 3pm. Hubby had the Steak and Eggs. Contrary to the name, it actually only comes with one egg, so he ordered another egg. I had the Brunch burger served with their brunch potatoes. The burger was juicy and I loved the potatoes cooked with peppers and onions. We both were happy with our meals. Our waitress Kacie was really nice and attentive. I can't remember the name of the drink it was a blueberry lemonade martini I think, I had the mac and cheese with pork belly and the pork belly was cooked to perfection! Mother's Day lunch was a major disappointment from start to finish. Despite having reservations, we were seated about 20 minutes late. Ok because it was Mother's Day and they were busy. The prix fixe menu had a decent selection, although surprisingly there was no vegetarian entrée option. Service pacing was painfully slow. It took about 15 minutes before anyone took our order, then another 20 minutes for appetizers to arrive. The burrata toast was very good, and easily the highlight of the meal. The crab cakes were mostly filler, though the remoulade sauce was tasty. Definitely avoid the chicken and waffles -- the chicken tenders were extremely overcooked and dry. One person at our table said the chicken was "like eating a piece of wood," and honestly, that wasn't an exaggeration. Then came the real issue: after our appetizer plates were cleared, we waited another 45 minutes for entrées. For a table of eight, food arrived one or two plates at a time, making the whole experience even more awkward. We were warned that the quiche plates were very hot, but the quiche itself was barely warm on the bottom and refrigerator-cold on top. The potatoes were lukewarm but otherwise fine. The salmon was okay. The steak and eggs were barely warm as well. We can't comment on dessert because after more than two hours for lunch, we took them to go just to get out of there. And honestly, the only reason the meal was only over two hours long is because we skipped eating dessert at the restaurant. To be fair, our waiter seemed to be doing his best, but he had almost no support staff whatsoever -- no busser, no assistance, nothing. Unfortunately, this was not remotely worth the time or money, and we won't be returning. read more

We took my aunt her for her birthday on Saturday and I highly recommend. The food was absolutely divine and there was not one dish that we did not like. A few of my favorites were the Ribeye, Red Pepper Risotto, and Seared Scallops. Also, the staff went above and beyond by giving my aunt a signed birthday card from the entire staff. If you are celebrating a birthday this is the perfect place. The inside decor is super cool and they have long tables which is perfect for big parties. Tried out warehouse72 in the marquee area in Houston. It's surrounded by a bunch of other entertainment opportunities and restaurants. The inside has ambient lighting, they also have a full bar available as well. They give you complimentary bread and compound butter, the butter was really really good and went well with the bread. I started off with their black truffle arancini, broiled gulf oysters; and roasted bone marrow. The arancini is basically fried risotto, it had really good soft texture but the truffle flavor was really light so it's basically just eating rice. The oysters had roasted piquillo butter, lemon, and roasted garlic, but I felt like they over cooked the cheese, I thought it was just ok. The bone marrow had Dijon mustard and piquillo pepper chimichurri and this was definitely the best appetizer of the 3. For mains I got the Australian lamb chops, mac and cheese with maple glazed pork belly, and fettuccine burrata. The lamb chops were really big and tender. It had a spinach and hazelnut pesto and came with oak smoked carrots and sweet potato. The Mac and cheese was also one of my favorites. They use cheddar and smoked Gouda, make sure the noodle has some of the sauce on it or it'll taste bland. The pork belly was so so tender and melt in your mouth. The fettuccine burrata was made with basil pesto cream and blistered cherry tomatoes. I thought the sauce was kind of lacking. It's basically just a fresh pasta. Overall a really good experience, dishes were hit or misses but their good dishes were well worth it. read more

Let me start with the parking situation--because it really sets the tone for the experience. The spaces are way too narrow. They might work for small compact cars, but this is Texas... a lot of us drive trucks. I have a standard F-150, nothing oversized, and it was a struggle. Because the spots are so tight, cars end up parking extremely close to each other. After finally finding a space, I could barely open my door. It's frustrating before you even walk inside. What really pushed it over the edge was when I came out after an otherwise enjoyable lunch--great weather, good meal--and found an SUV parked next to me so close I literally couldn't get into my truck. No room to open the door at all. At that point, it completely overshadowed the experience. The food may be good, but the parking setup makes it hard to justify coming back. read more

Speciality cocktails are a little pricey at $18 each. Had a WH72 old fashioned. It was good but $18 for buffalo trace isn't the best deal. Beet salad 5/5. Red & golden beets with balsamic & candied pecan. Was super super good. I got it with no cheese Complementary sour dough bread with herbed butter is a nice addition. I don't recall getting bread in past visits. Brazino with brussel sprouts (instead of potato puree) & spinach was a 4.5/5. Fish had a nice pan sear crispy crust on the outside with skin & tail on. Very tasty. And this was the fish without the cream/butter wine sauce it comes with. Spinach was super flavorful. This review was for a regular dinner night, however, I've been here a few times even for my daughter's wedding rehearsal dinner. The manager was super accommodating & easy to work with. He really made our rehearsal dinner special while still accommodating regular patrons on a Th night. I have visited several times. Once for a Yelp event, a birthday and most recently for several alumni events. It is located in the area where Dave & Busters are located in the Marq-E Entertainment Center. There is a small patio in front when you arrive and the private room is where most of my experience has been is all the way to the rear. It is a glass front room with multiple tables for seating. My alumni has had a few football watch parties here. They have a varied menu with many choices to choose from. There is also a full bar up front. Its a place where you can have a private event with a fixed menu or you can order from the regular menu. I have tried several of their menu items and they have never disappointed. If you are looking to have a private event, reach out to them as there is a total financial threshold to hit for your food choices. read more

Ok after five visits, I'm writing a review to share my appreciation for Warehouse 72's ability to consistently provide excellent meals. I've dined here one on one and with large parties, greater than twenty, on two occasions. The decor is contemporary with lots of art in the entry way opening up to a large dining room with an open kitchen concept. The staff is knowledgeable, friendly and attentive without being over-bearing. I'm now under the impression that they will likely do all dishes very well. They have an exceptional Roasted Beet salad that I'll never skip. On my last visit, I ordered the Duck Cassoulet which was a first for this duck lover. Nothing was left on my plate. From the start the ambiance was amazing were greeted by Valerie with a warm and welcoming smile. Seated at the bar for happy hour drinks our bartenders were Jose and Eric. Jose went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and met our every needs even made us a special concoction that was delicious and thirst quenching. It was now time for the amazing Valentine Day's dinner with the wine pairing. I chose the filet and a lobster tail; cooked perfectly. My husband had the chilean sea bass and also a lobster tail; again perfectly cooked. For dessert I had cheesecake and berries yummy and he had the chocolate hazelnut torte. This was my final HRW stop making it a total of 10 this year, a new personal best! Walking up to the restaurant the first thing that catches your eye is the beautiful murals painted on the walls. Walking inside you see more beautiful murals around the interior walls. The dinning area is very spacious with an open concept. You can actually see the chiefs preparing the food or playing flip cup as it was slow during our visit. When the hostess took us to our table I thought it was cute how he positioned the table setting next to each other. Felt like he did me a solid to have my date closer to me. This HRW menu was on the nicer side with four courses. My date started out with the fried mozzarella which was a house-made mozzarella with marinara sauce and micro basil. I started with the beef satay which was grilled beef skewer that is served with Thai peanut sauce and roman lettuce. Both were amazing but my favorite was the beef satay. The beef was very tender and the peanut sauce stole the show. The second course were salads. I had the Caesar salad and Tiff had the garden salad. Not much to say here as beside the portion size was pretty small for my Caesar. Everything else about it would be what you expect. The third and main course definitely made up for the small salads. I had the jumbo lump crab pasta which is served on fettuccine pasta in saffron lemon butter with jumbo lump crab meat of course with a spinach and ciabatta breadcrumbs. The portion size was very large. The pasta was and crab were both cooked perfectly. The flavor of the sauce was spot on however I feel they did go a little heavy with the bread crumbs. Tiff had the Sous-vide pork chop. This thing was huge! It was a 14 oz Double Cut served with white polenta, crispy brussels sprouts, caramelized onions with a Garrison Brothers Bourbon glaze. I only had a bite of the pork chop which was also cooked perfectly and was well seasoned by itself. The bourbon sauce was good but I would recommend getting it on the side as I preferred the chop without it. The final course was desert Tiff picked the chocolate torte which is a Four layer torte. It consist of Nutella buttercream, chocolate pearls, and edible flowers. It looked impressive but after having a bite, I'm glade I didn't get it. Nothing was wrong with it but after such an amazing main course it seemed basic. I went with the caramel pecan cheesecake and yes it tasted as amazing as it sounds! The vanilla cheesecake is served with pecan-bourbon caramel sauce and toasted graham cracker. I would have liked more of the sauce because it was so good! Overall the service was great, the ambiance was romantic, food and drinks were solid. I would recommend this as a date night spot. We'll be back! read more

Wanting to try someplace we've never been foot New Year's Eve, we made a reservation at Warehouse 72. First - the place is gorgeous! The murals on the walls are amazing and if you scan the link it shows how they made of the models, photographed them and then the artist painted them on the walls. Now the food - we started out with the Charred Octopus beautiful presentation and's my husband said it was very good. I did try it because I do want to start trying new things. It wasn't too bad The pesto and chorizo on the fish mixed well with IT and it don't taste too fishy. Next he had the Roasted Beet Salad - again, I'm not a fan of Beets but I tried it. I'm still not a fan of beets but he assured me that they were sweet and the arugula and goat cheese was delicious. For our entrees I had the 15 Layer Lasagna. It has Italian Pork Sausage in it which gave it a little bit of a sweet taste. Really good. I paired it with the Broccolini. I would've liked the broccolini to be steamed a minute longer, but it was really good. My husband had the Sous-Vide Pork Chops. 14oz Double cut pork chops over white polenta! Cooked perfectly and it came with crispy Brussels sprouts. He loved it. Said they were the best Brussel sprouts he'd had. The pork chop had a glaze on it and it was really delicious. For dessert we had an Expresso with the Vanilla Bean Panna Cotta. Oh my gawd. So good. The berries melted in your mouth. Our waiter, Francisco was so attentive! Great suggestions for food and wine. We had Quilt Cabernet. James and Cesar also visited our table. Everyone made it such a great experience. We'll definitely go back. They have so much more to taste!! read more
