My husband and I had date night at Craft and it didn't not disappoint. Shout out to the staff specifically the manager/bartenders, for exceptional service. I hate it dont remember there names. I made a reservation not knowing the available seating for a Friday night but to our surprise there was adequate sitting. We decided to sit at the bar instead which wasnt a problem. The manager/bartender diligently checked in with us to confirm the change and that our experience was enjoyable. We appreciated the staffs attentiveness and follow through during our visit. We visited this bar with the intention of finding just good bar food. Unexpectedly, the food exceeded my expectations. We ordered wings, tacos and waffle fries. We didn't order much but the garlic parm wings and hot wings were extremely saucey and delicious. It had tons of flavor. The size of the wing itself was quite large and was dipped with a lot of flavor. 9 wings came in the appetizer. We also ordered the surf and turf tacos. I absolutely recommend this. Unfortunately, I only had one because I had to share with the hubby but I will definitely order these again . The service was good considering it was a bar. The establishment was nice and clean and placed perfectly in the post oak hotel. If I am ever in the area again, I would happily visit again and explore more of their menu. Five craft stars for Jade!! Such a kind, sweet server who made our meal special. Nice to spend a quiet Saturday afternoon with family for a birthday lunch. The fish and chips were so fresh and hot. The large pieces of fish had the perfect amount of crispy breading. So good with the malt vinegar, tartar sauce and fries. The kielbasa hot dog was a good choice as well. Rustic wood tables & high top bar. Wooden tables overlook the bar in this rather small burger/pizza/flatbread restaurant located inside the Post Oak Hotel. Valet parking is necessary, the restaurant validates the first hour, the $6 after per hour. Service: Was slow, very slow & it wasn't packed. There was 1 waiter, he wasn't overly friendly & didn't write down our order so it was all wrong. Didn't complain or send it back, just adjusted the burger myself. Turkey Burgers: (I ordered 2, one to eat there and 1 to-go $15 ea) Both burgers were highly overcooked & dry. They were very lacking with the cranberry sauce that was supposed to be on the burger it was so dry I had to request mayo to literally be able to swallow without chocking because the bread is very this & dry also even though very soft on the outside the bun was burnt around the edges (not good) had to pull off the burnt pieces of bread to eat the burger. Bison burger: Cooked well great flavor but it included everything and when ordering I asked to eliminate some items, that was not done. It's a messy burger so be ready for dripping everywhere. Waffle fries: appeared to be fried in old grease so they had an after taste & came to the table absolutely cold. Onion rings: Love these kind, smooth battered and sweet. However, same issue as the fries, cold & old grease flavor. I wasn't able to eat the fries or the onion rings COLD, huge disappointment. Even though both burgers had very good flavor, the burned dry turkey I won't order again & will request fries be hot when ordering. That is if I decide to return. Excellent burger. Cooked medium as requested. The steak fries were served hot and the portion was good but some of them were cooked more (better) than some others. Likely due to slice thickness but I'd hoped they'd figured out how to get this right when fries do not come with the burger. I also tasted the waffle fries that my friend ordered. Those were good. They were complimentary of their burger as well. I was served ranch when I asked for mayo when I placed my order. The smoked old fashioned was pretty good. However, the bar service was super slow. We got drinks after entrees. I would've probably been about half way through my burger (if I wasn't waiting for mayo) by the time drinks made it to the table. It didn't appear to be terribly busy but I understand the bartender may have been making drinks for people not physically in this restaurant. I'd definitely try a pizza next time. Met up with another here for a quick semi casual bite inside the Post Oak Hotel. One can try to park in one of the shared open parking spaces nearby and walk to the restaurant, but the are limited and fill up rather quickly, so your only other option is to valet with the hotel. This bar and restaurant is fairly small in term of the dining room, but the plentiful bar seating plus outdoor seating make up for it. Several televisions in the bar area play sports, so there's an opportunity to catch a match. There aren't any big screens, so to speak, but they are suitable. The menu is fairly straight forward, with familiar bar bites including shareable pub fare, salads, burgers, and pizzas. I opted for the Salmon and Pearl Couscous salad, while my dining partner ordered the #1 Burger and added fries, since they are not included with the burger. While bringing out our order, our server noticed the missing salmon from my salad right before setting it down in front of me. He apologized and took it back to the kitchen. My dining partner meanwhile, was served his gigantic burger. This was one tall burger! There appeared to be a nice sear on the smashed beef patties. I sampled some fries while waiting for my salad, and unfortunately they were the thick slabs type that I don't particularly enjoy-- no crispiness whatsoever. When my salad was finally brought out, it was quite tasty! The salmon was cooked perfectly and was nice and soft! The dressing, bits of olives, tomatoes, croutons, crumbled feta, scattering of couscous, and greens complimented the protein well. My signature cocktail was well crafted and tasty with just the right kick. Service was not as attentive as more guests arrived, but the staff was very pleasant from start to finish. Came here for dinner last night after a recommendation from a friend that wanted to try it out. It's located in the Post Oak hotel so you'll more than likely need to valet for parking. My friend paid $25 for the valet but I could've sworn last time I came here the Parking was validated if you ate at one of the restaurants (or at least discounted) but don't quote me. The restaurant itself is a little small on the inside, almost like a bar. They do have a patio outside if you wanted to sit outdoors as well. Our waiters name was Aiden and he was the sweetest, giving excellent service and helpful with recommendations. We started off with onion rings and the Junk fries for our appetizers and both were delicious. The onion rings were served with a poblano aioli sauce and it was magnificent. The junk fries were also Amazing! it was loaded with some kind of pico, meat, and a delicious cheesy type sauce (maybe similar to ranch I'm not sure) but it gave loaded baked potato vibes and I was all the way here for it. For my meal I ordered the "whatever the hell you want" pizza which is a pizza that that you can create with unlimited toppings. Soo the pizza wasn't bad but I felt like there was so much potential for it and something was just missing for me. For starters, it was actually a very pig portion for the crust I chose (which was thick crust). So big that it could definitely be split between two people. My friend got the cauliflower crust and that one was much smaller (like a personal size pizza for one person). I chose mozzarella sauce as my base but I did not taste it at all! Either they used the wrong sauce or it's so light that it's not even noticeable but my pizza kinda gave like a plain low-fat sauce type of vibe. Also I asked for jalapeño peppers which I noticed they put but they were cut soo but that I couldn't enjoy it. I also usually like mine cooked or distilled or something but this looked like they just cut the peppers fresh and threw it right in the pizza. Lastly, I think the crust of the pizza was very flimsy so it was hard to eat each slice without all the toppings falling off. I took my left overs home and air fried it so they made it a little more so idk but nonetheless still a little difficult to eat. Overall the restaurant was pretty cool and I heard good things about the burgers so I may come back and try them another time. read more

Ok, I still hate the fact that I have to valet to dine here due to a lack of self parking, but I guess the food is worth it! I've recently started ordering the Junk Fries as an entree and they are amazing! The Junk Fries is a bowl of waffle fries covered with BBQ Burnt Ends, Bison Chili,, Tomato Salsa and Scallions then topped with Chipotle Cheese Sauce and Ranch Dressing. It's my new favorite dish. We ordered junk fries that were delicious and topped with what they call burnt ends of bbq, but it was more like beef chunks that were juicy. I also ordered a #1 hamburger that says it's 1/2 pound of meat. When the burger came it was 2 thin slices of meat like you get in a fast food burger. I can say the same for the pizza with huge slices of pepperoni (although I prefer my toppings a little more well done from a wood oven) It was the service that nearly ruined the night. Our server seemed a little lost or aloof. Drinks took forever. We watched our pizza sit under the heat lamp for about five minutes which normally wouldn't be a big deal, but the place only had about two other tables with people in it. (Should have been a sign I guess). The table next to us didn't get bussed until we were nearly done with our meal which didn't help with the flying insects. We laughed about how slow the service was after the fact bc again, it's just food... but c'mon... in an area like post oak, you expect better. It is beyond indulgent, beyond delectable, and coming from an ex-bartender here, this means a lot: it is likely the best drink I've ever had. Hubs had an Old Fashioned, which I usually can't stand the taste of, but an Old Fashioned at Craft F&B gets a thumbs up. The bartenders are so friendly and personable- it's always refreshing to talk to bartenders who actually like people. Service was fast, food was good. Hubs likes their vegan black bean burger and I love love love their fish tacos. Very cute little bar with lots of TVs and HUGE portions. Located inside The Post Oak Hotel, Craft F&B plays on industrial ambience and delivers spectacular portions. From tabletops, to plates to silverware, copper is material of choice. Burgers are huge and good (I only ate a half of burger), as regular size is a half pound. Pretzel was huge and simply delicious. It is probably the single best pretzel I ever ate, and it could be a meal by itself. Our server Robert knew the menu and was very helpful in selecting the items. While there is a nice outdoor seating section, that will have to wait until Houston summer passes and temperatures become manageable! read more

In light of coronavirus restrictions we ordered delivery and were not disappointed Food We ordered the Baconic Burger and the Bison Burger. It's worth noting no sides come with the burgers so we ordered some of their loaded fries. Talk about a heavy meal, but wow! Both burgers were massive! Easily two meals if you don't bring an appetite. The baconic burger comes on a pretzel bun and I must say it was great. It's honestly so large with so much on it that you end up making an absolute mess so expect that. The bison burger is definitely more tame, but a nice lean twist on your standard burger. On the downside we requested medium rare for both, but both were cooked more to a medium well. No worries, there is so much fat content that they were still juicy with excellent taste. The loaded fries were ok, but honestly, I would just go with the fries straight. The crunch , profile, and taste I think the fries stand on their own. Pricing Always a subjective point, but I try to draw off the other market rates around town and what is included. On that note the prices are on the high side considering there is no side or drink included, but the counterpoint is you are getting a huge, fresh, high quality burger. Location certainly has a factor to pricing. Personally $2-3 off would make more of a value appeal when you compare it to some of the other local options around town, or throw in a small order of fries. By no means is it a dealbreaker, just be aware beforehand. Service Honestly it's impossible to really assess this portion given this is delivery, but the driver did not have to wait and it was ready to go upon their arrival. This was the first restaurant I returned to for a bidness lunch once things started to open back up for normal (read: not reckless anti-science type) people in the pandemic era. On the ground floor of the muy fancy hotel you get to feel moderately important in case the hotel workers mistake you, a person only here for a bidness lunch, for someone who might be muy fancy enough to actually be staying in the rarefied air at the hotel. Of the many minor but fun Gallagher-type scams you can pull in life if you come from the original south-side of Chicago, Philly, or Boston (not the yuppie gentrified south sides of today) is being accidentally, momentarily mistaken as someone who has more money and is more important than you actually are in life. So if you have nothing else going for you in life, come for a meal at this joint, walk through the hotel lobby, and get accidentally misidentified and treated as your betters, if only momentarily - it will make your day, it did for me. The actual restaurant indoor is very brewpub chic, tarnished by way too many teevee sets everywhere all tuned to sportsball. Do you mfs not know how to put on a spicy ep of Rick & Morty whilst the gentlesir is eating? Any restaurant polluting the minds and eye holes with that many teevees tuned to that much sportsball is already going to lose a yelp star in my mind. The waiter was straightforwardly managing to get water and keep it filled. But then came the ordering. The waiter found my request for no tomato and no onion (which I literally can't eat) on my turkey burger to be an unusually wild, bossy, and demanding request. Nobody else is going to look out for my health if someone surreptitiously slips me a piece of tomato, so if customizing my order to be no tomato and no onion makes me a diva, a Karen, or an eldritch terror you hope you don't see again until next Tuesday, I am fine with that. It was just weird having a request for an item customization appear to be such a big deal, like this guy hoed grandpappy's land out back and personally raised these tomatoes on premises from seed to monstrosity. For a bidness lunch it was nice to have some time to chat and talk bidness, but you will be waiting a good long while for your food here. So do not visit if you are in anything resembling a rush. If you work for yourself or have a yacht where you regularly light cigars with lit $100 bills then you can probably accommodate an extra long lunch at a place such as this. Otherwise, cancel all of your meetings and tell your goldfish you love him since you probably won't see him again for as long a period of time as it took some people on the Oregon Trail (the videogame, not the actual trail trail). The turkey burger was extremely dry and flavourless in the patty. At $15 for one of the only (or arguably) "healthy" options in this joint it was both disappointing and something I should have expected. The vibe of this place is not going for people who go to a brewpub, order no alcohol, and choose one of the only "healthy" options on the menu. This joint is looking for the people who already have a few beers in their belly and come in here wanting something big and/or greasy, along with more beers. All two star reviews are not created equal, so this is really a 2.1 rounded down to a 2 because of the low-quality turkey burger and the strange interaction with the waiter. The two stars it is getting are all for the short-lived upgrayedd you get on being treated in life by the hotel staff as you mosey in through the hotel into the resto. read more

My group mostly ordered the southern border burger, the bbq chicken pizza with thick crust and I ordered the baconic burger w sides of waffle fries. The bbq chicken pizza was enough to share. There was a plethora of bbq and lots of mixed cheese so it all came together really well. Although it was good, would try something else next time. The burgers came with two patties and no sides included so had to order sides. The southern border was a good amount of food, would def just get the burger bc with the fries, it was a lot of food. We decided to try something new and visited Craft F&B. Located at the bottom of The Post Oak Hotel, next door to the Bentley dealership, this was pretty easy to find. We did take an Uber so I'm not sure how the parking works here. The service was phenomenal, everyone was super friendly and they move efficiently, employees make sure you are comfy and that your needs are met while visiting. On to the food and adult beverages! This place is eclectic when it comes to the types of burgers and sandwiches on the menu, we had a tough time deciding what to pick because everything sounded so good! We opted for the BBQ brisket croissant and the bison burger. I tried the onion rings and my bf tried the waffle fries. None of this food disappointed and it all disappeared! The only thing about the brisket was that is was diced and not sliced, still tasted great, I was just surprised by the cut. The bison burger immediately melted and was so tender. The onion rings here are GRRREAT (fried to perfection and the onion easy to bite into) and the waffles fries were pretty good too! This place makes just about everything from fresh ingredients and fresh cuts, we watched the chefs at the bar near the wood fire stove as they kept everything flowing. The beer on tap changes frequently and they do an awesome job supporting local, Texas, and US breweries (kudos for that)! Full bar and nice as well!! Discovered this hidden gem Friday evening after work for dinner in the Galleria. Food is amazing and good drinks for a happy hour or light dinner. I had the chicken bbq pizza which is scratch made in their brick oven. Hubby had the fish tacos which were really good (sorry no photo; he was hungry) The burgers looked good so I'll have to try that next time. Beware this place is pricey but you're paying for the upscale location inside the new Post Oak Hotel which is equally amazingly beautiful. It's uppidity for sure but not snobby and service was great.
