I absolutely love this place!!! I drive a distance, but I don't care, it's so worth it. Everyone is wanting to serve you with excellence. I swear you get spoiled here by every person from the front where you place your order, to the waiter/waitress, to the server bringing out the drink and food, to the bus boy picking up. I hate to write this review, because the manager Hannah was empathetic, apologetic, and gave me a refund....but I dislike restaurants that advertise one thing on the menu, and then pull a bait and switch on what they think are unsuspecting patrons, by serving something else! This is the second time I've purchase the steak frites to-go at this establishment within a week, and they aren't serving what the menu states! Menu clearly says the cut of steak for the steak fries is ribeye, and this is absolutely NOT RIBEYE. The first time I ordered it last week, I let it slide because it was still tasty and this restaurant is in walking distance from my house so it's convenient...I just figured they ran out of the advertised cut of beef and made a one off substitution. Went in today and ordered the same dish and was served the same cut of beef, which is obviously a flank or skirt steak... definitely not what is being advertised! Called and spoke with the manager and she was apologetic and promptly gave me a refund. I'm only writing this review because it is a poor business practice to advertise one thing and serve something else. Either increase the pricing for what is advertised or change the menu to reflect what you're actually serving....It's just as simple as that! Transparency matters and this is very deceptive. I'm going to update my review for brunch - it's really great value we love their $10 chicken biscuit and their sausage biscuit. The biscuit is nice and fluffy. Also they give you a side with it so with the hash browns or a cup of oatmeal, it's tasty, filling, and great value! Service is friendly and casual ambiance. Highly recommended! We stopped for a light dinner after heading home. My friend loved her salad. I ordered the hummus because I had tried it at another Adair location. But the hummus was topped with mushrooms which I don't like. I had to scrape them off. Mushrooms have no business in hummus. I don't know if they add mushrooms in the Buffalo Speedway location. I didn't see any when my friend shared his hummus with us. The pita bread is delicious. Our waitress was friendly and serviceable. Had a nice breakfast there this AM. Food was very good and service was quick. I would not recommend over easy eggs (as I got) with the Huevos Rancheros as with the rancheros sauce it makes it very watery, and the tostado won't soak it up. Better get over medium or scrambled eggs. read more

We were excited to try the new Adair Kitchen, but the experience was really disappointing. I went with my son and daughter. I ordered the chicken, my daughter ordered the pork chop, and my son ordered the steak. As they were serving my kids their meals, the server told me they were out of chicken and asked what I wanted instead. I ordered the steak and was told it would come out quickly. My kids finished their entire meals and my food still hadn't arrived. I finally asked them to box it up to go because I was tired of waiting and watching everyone else eat. Then the bill came -- and they had both the chicken (which they didn't have) and the steak that I had to take home on it. At the very least, they should have taken the steak off the bill, since I never even got to eat it there. No one offered anything while I waited or even offered refills for drinks or another glass of wine. Really disappointing service, especially for a new restaurant trying to establish itself in San Antonio. read more

Enter: Adair Kitchen. Adair had been on my brunch list for a while, so I was thrilled at the chance to try it. The cashier joked along with us about our workout, and was incredibly friendly. I am partial to restaurants with an order-at-the-cashier set up, and Adair's ordering line moves quickly and efficiently. The baked goods looked mouth watering but we ended up not having room in our stomachs to try it. The service was fairly quick, and the aura of the restaurant is great - casual, but nice decor, sit where you like. The food was delicious. We got the huevos rancheros and the avocado toast. This is just ok. I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was a very small chicken breast with a bun that is about the quality you would get from chik fila. We were there on a Saturday night and it was empty...we should have walked out. We used to enjoy a nice family dinner here but they've lost their touch. Stopped in for brunch. It's a cute little restaurant with some outdoor seating directly in front. Seating inside is a bit crowded if you're not in a booth, but it's comfortable nonetheless. You order first, then head to your table and they bring your food to you. I wanted something light so I went with the two eggs any style that came with bread and has brown casserole. The wheat bread was okay, but the hash browns were a no for me. I was excited about the hash browns because many places don't have them on their menus these days and I was definitely disappointed. I barely ate anything besides the eggs, but the mimosas were great and very reasonably priced! If I come back, it might be for lunch or to try something else on the breakfast menu. read more

So, I stumbled upon this restaurant om accident. I will say I first went to their other location which is SOOO cute looking, but this location is the original and let me tell you, I sat at the bar and I LOVED the staff at the bar. They made me feel like I came to eat a meal with them and like I knew them my whole life. In a fast moving world where people just stay to their own, I really appreciated this on their end. The breakfast bowl is AMAZING and so is their coffee that I have had. They have it down with breakfast and lunch. Great service and food! Even the customers are nice. We used to come here regularly but since we moved we come by wherever we're in the area. After we sat down Raul quickly recognized us and took our order. He always remembers us but not just us. I could tell who all the regulars were by how they were greeted and with the staff knowing their drink orders before they were ordered. One older gentleman told the barista that she was a rockstar, which sweetly made her smile. Both our lattes were very good so the compliment was well deserved. My breakfast was delicious. I usually get the huevos rancheros or the avocado toast and my significant other gets the chicken and waffles but today he tried a new item, the egg and bacon biscuit. My family party of 10 were supposed to meet at the Buffalo Speedway location but we were told that they could not accommodate us because a big party of 85 was going to be there at the same time. The person who called suggested we relocate to their other location on San Felipe and Sage Rd in the Galleria area. So, reluctantly, we did. This location is a little smaller venue than their Buffalo Speedway location and unfortunately when we got there. they told us that there's no record of a reservation for 10-12 people. Nevertheless, the manager and servers hastily assembled 2 big tables together and sat us down. The whole family had a good time because this was a Christmas family dinner. We went to the Buffalo Speedway location last year and we had such a great time, we wanted to replicate the fun. No such luck this year! Well, we ordered small plates (appetizers) and then to the main course. The food was good - not great this time and although we had fun with the family there, the fact that we had to scramble to go to another location was annoying. Nevertheless, Adair Kitchen is still wonderful for these kinds of gathering. The food is good, their servers are young, friendly and energetic. We might try another venue next year for dinner though. Met a friend here for brunch on a weekend and this place was packed. To me that is a good sign as the food is probably really good. It is also located in the Galleria area so all the good brunch spots are usually packed just like this. It is an order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place which isn't always my favorite type of service. Getting through the long line and then waiting to find a seat was not fun. The young people at the counter weren't all that welcoming and the food took a long time to come out. Nothing really stood out to me on the menu so I just went with an order of their French Toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was pretty substantial in size and was topped with berries. It can be hit and miss at places, but this was a pretty good French Toast. It was nice and fluffy with just the right amount of crispness from the griddle. The bacon on the other hand left alot to be desired. They were lifeless, limp, fatty pieces that could've used some more time on the grill. If you can't get bacon right, I don't want it. Overall, this was an ok spot. It is super popular but my experience didn't leave me yearning to come back anytime soon. read more
