Salmon Three Ways
Helene S.

It's been a long time since I've been to Grand Lux Cafe. Went for a family dinner to celebrate a special graduation. The service was amazing! They were able to handle so many questions and requests for our party of lucky number 13. The food was okay. Salads were fresh. My salmon three ways was okay, but not hot and the flavors were off. Would not get this again. Key lime pie which I shared with two others was also okay. My sister-in-law did not like her tiramisu in a cup. For the food, I would give it a three, so I wouldn't come back, but the service was five star.

Has it ever happened to you that you want to order something different, but always end up getting the same dish? Well, that's me !! For some many years when I come here I order the Spicy Ginger Beef., it's always good, I love the flavors. The Grand Lux Cafe's menu is huge! You will find the Ginger Beef under the "Foods of the World" . Love the Strawberry Lemonade. And for dessert, I would recommend the New Orleans Beignets. Delicious!!! The restaurant, I will say it's casual , the service is good. Enjoy!!!

For longest time I thought Grand Lux Cafe was an adult entertainment center. I drove by dozens of times. I just never stepped in. Yesterday, my friends from my toastmasters club decided to eat here after the meeting. Getting here was no problem. There was about an hour before closing. The waitress was friendly and never rushed us. I ordered Chicken Lettuce Warps because I'm on the keto diet on Mondays. I drank water with no ice. It was perfectly room temperature. My friends ordered variety of dishes. The atmosphere was so grand. I see the decorator did a great job making this place looking like very high end restaurant. Food prices were reasonable for the Galleria. The dining room was huge to accommodate groups. So did the tables, which can be arranged to get a group to sit together.

We had a big party celebrating a birthday. It was a Saturday and I expected more people at the location. This restaurant is owned by the same company as Cheesecake Factory. The ambience and style is the same as Cheesecake Factory. The menu items are similar as well. The food was good but was slow to come. I got the buffalo wings as an appetizer for the table and garlic shrimp pasta as my entree. Both were satisfying. There were several large parties which made up for the bulk of the population at the restaurant; nevertheless, our server was very slow and seemed impatient anytime she came to the table. They don't take reservations on Saturdays and Sundays but again even with our party of 13, the wait didn't exceed 30 minutes. It was also a big night at rodeo so this may have had something to do with the crowd being low. I recommend it if you're in the Galleria area and is starving but it's not a place I'd make plans to go back to.

Nice greeting at entrance. Good service our waiter was very kind and checked in on us to ensure everything was going well. My friend had chicken and pancakes she said the pancakes was so very good. Another friend had chicken and Waffles and she said it was good. The Cobb salad was ok the chicken was very bland. The special salmon was ok the salmon was very bland, no season in the rice, the mushrooms were can not fresh product. The lemon sauce made everything tasteful it would be better to have a bit more lemon sauce. The inside restaurant looks very pretty and clean with a great amount of tables for guests.

I have visited Grand Lux in Vegas and Chicago before. The food at this location was very mid. My salad (Grand Cobb) had a ton of the bad lettuce corner pieces, and my wife's entree (Chicken Royale) barely had any sauce or flavor. The baked cookies for desert were the hit of the meal.

Arriving late in Houston on a Thursday night through a crazy thunderstorm was nerve racking. Thankfully, we had just the place to eat and relax! As it was late, service was efficient and prompt. The food was good and the place was nice and quiet. I've come to know Grand Lux is typically busy and not peaceful.

Pretty decent American restaurant near galleria area. Lots of variety on menu to choose from. You'll definitely find something to order. Lunch is till 5pm which is a huge price difference. I got the chicken Parmesan with rigatoni pasta and it was soooo filling. Shareable plates for sure. Huge interior with lots of seating, didn't have to wait at all and was seated instantly.

Service was amazing, as well as the food. I loved the vibe it was very nice and chill. The food came very quick and was excellent.

Waste of money. Didn't even offer a discount.

Extremely disappointed. The food was terrible -- the shrimp was badly overcooked and completely ruined the dish. Management was just as bad as the food. I had a reservation for 4:30 PM and my party was not seated until after 5:00 PM. The manager blamed it on being short-staffed, which is not the customer's problem, especially when reservations are accepted. There was no apology, no urgency, and no attempt to make things right. Poor service, poor management, and poor food. I will not be returning. I definitely see why they're closing, ruin my family Christmas Eve gathering!!!!!! I wish I could give a zero!

we were in the Galleria area and wanted salad so stopped by Grand Lux. It's been a while since we've been to Grand Lux and i'm still not sure the difference between Grand Lux and Cheesecake Factory. we ordered the fish and chips, the farmers salad and the appetizer chicken tacos. complimentary sourdough bread was given - which came our fresh and hot! the salad was good, large portion with lots of ingredients and good flavor. the fish and chips were decent, again good portion size and decent flavor. the chicken tacos took the longest and were a large appetizer portion and were decent. the price was a bit expensive but the portion and flavor were good

Waht a GRAND [Lux] birthday treat!!!

WOW--this place is fantastic! The food is always beyond amazing, every bite is delicious. The atmosphere is fun, welcoming, and full of great vibes, and the staff are incredibly friendly and make us feel right at home. An all-around awesome experience from start to finish. I have always celebrated my life's special moments there. Highly recommend!

I was in the mood for a Ahi Tuna sandwich, and it was getting a little late. I ordered from Grand Lux on door dash, and also got something for lunch the next day. I believe when ordering food to go it's better leave the sauces in the side so the bread doesn't get soggy. However the tuna was fresh and it still was a good tasting burger. It came with regular fries. The Indochine bowl was ok. I would have liked more depth in the flavors for a bolder taste and more spice. Door dash did not give me the option to change the rice for this bowl, I would have rather brown rice instead of white.

This was my first experience with Credence and the atmosphere was new, modern and a little noisy. The lunch gnocchi was my first experience with gnocchi (in particular cornmeal gnocchi) so I have nothing with which to compare; I would probably not have it again but it wasn't bad. I have had plenty of beet salads and this didn't make the top ten. The grilled tuna salad my husband ordered rated a 0 on a scale of 1-5. The tuna may have been grilled as advertised, but there was no evidence of it, and there was absolutely no taste to it. I would have expected there to be some seasoning, but again, no evidence. The green beans were so crunchy they might as well have been fresh-picked and the sauce over the snow peas was so tasteless, Ranch dressing would have been a huge improvement. I could only eat one, and I really like snow peas. Until they get a better chef, I will not be returning.

The ambiance was beautiful too, and the speakeasy was such a fun bonus. The monkey bread was the perfect way to start ! Warm, soft, and dangerously easy to keep eating. The baked potato was probably one of my favorite sides; it was super creamy with this crusted layer that basically melted in your mouth. The NY Strip steak was perfectly seasoned and definitely lived up to expectations. The branzino was fresh and cooked well, but the seasoning was a little too subtle for me, so it didn't stand out as much as the other dishes. I also wasn't a huge fan of the cabbage. Overall though, Credence absolutely delivered. Great food, great service, beautiful atmosphere, and plenty of dishes I'd come back for.

Every staff member we interacted with was friendly, and our waitress really stood out. What impressed me most was the attention to detail while taking our order. Instead of simply writing everything down, she asked thoughtful questions to make sure our meals were exactly how we wanted them--whether we preferred our bacon extra crispy, if I wanted to substitute my side salad for hash browns, and how I'd like my eggs cooked. Those little touches made the experience feel much more personalized. If you're looking for a brunch cocktail, I highly recommend the Strawberry Martini Mimosa. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect complement to brunch. For food, I absolutely loved the Bravocado Toast. I added bacon and swapped the salad for hash browns, and it was a great choice. My daughter ordered the Classic Breakfast and really enjoyed it as well. Even if pancakes aren't usually your thing (they aren't mine!), don't skip them here. We shared one, and it ended up being one of our favorite bites of the meal. The edges had a slight crisp while the inside was soft, fluffy, and full of flavor. Parking was easy with a large free parking lot, which is always a bonus. Another perk is the location--you can make a day of it by shopping at Nordstrom Rack, Marshalls/HomeGoods, and Old Navy, all within the same shopping center. If you're still in the mood to browse after brunch, The Galleria is just a short drive away for even more shopping (and a chance to walk off all that delicious food!). Overall, Snooze delivers great food, attentive service, and a fun brunch atmosphere. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Houston.

We split the chicken avocado sandwich and the French dip. Both were very tasty, but the French dip was hands-down the winner for me. First of all when they bring it out, it smells like garlic bread! It was flavorful, whether or not it was dipped in the au jus. We had the grilled chicken for the chicken avocado sandwich, and it was juicy. It looked like it only came with two slices of avocado though, which felt a little sad. Both sandwiches came with a ton of very skinny crunchy fries. I normally don't like shoestring-type fries, but these seemed like they were made in-house. My friend's salad with grilled shrimp looked so delicious. We live in the area and passed by this spot so many times without even knowing The exterior is appealing and eye catching. The whole section of restaurants has a trendy and family friendly vibe. It would be the perfect spot to enjoy some outdoor bites and libations if not for the insufferable weather we have most of the year, but luckily, the interior is just as lovely. It's immaculate, well decorated, and deceptively spacious. There's plenty of booths, tables, and there's even a fully stocked bar and takeaway area The menu offers a variety of delicacies from a french dip, to pecan crusted chicken, to enchiladas. They have lovely handcrafted cocktails to choose from - some classic cocktails and some signature concoctions Everything tasted and looked great. The pecan chicken was more sweet than I expected, but still good. All of the sides were great. The cocktails looked great and tasted good. I did order one cocktail that gave ingredients but mentioned a "thick pink juice" that is made in-house, and upon my initial taste I soon discovered they meant beet juice. It wasn't bad, just unexpected and a little overpowering Our sever was good. Our orders came out quickly and without any issues. We did have to wait a while for top-offs on water. Also, as I was taking photos of the food our server was behind me and I apologized and they said "phone eats first," and I hope that was only meant in jest and not throwing shade lol Some tips: These plates aren't the most shareable, but if in a group I would consider ordering a variety of entrees and sides and trying each others meals If you're feeling something sweet after your meal, consider walking next door to Milk + Sugar. They're one of my favorite West Houston ice cream parlors Cheers!!

The yolk needed more mayo or cream because it was dry and crumbly. 2nd Course: Brasserie Chicken - I enjoyed this entree. It was panko crusted chicken with lemon caper sauce. The chicken was flavorful. I also enjoyed the mashed potatoes and broccoli that accompanied the dish. The portion was much larger than my friend's 5 oz. Filet Mignon. I had plenty for leftovers the following day. 3rd Course: Carrot Cake - It was served warm and was very delicious! The icing was sweet and the cake was moist.
