His service was simply outstanding and he went above and beyond to make sure my companion and I enjoyed our meal! Picked this restaurant as I needed a location in the galleria for my boyfriend and I's parents to meet. Atmosphere for dinner at 7pm was great, with friendly staff, comfortable seating for a party of 6, and a menu with variety to suit a variety of palettes. Only complaint was because we were a larger party and took a bit longer to decide and were chatting, it felt like the server meant to give us extra time and ended up forgetting about us and we had to ask someone else for her to come back. read more

I came here for dinner on a Saturday evening around 7pm. Parking was kind of hard because the restaurant sits in a parking lot with several other businesses. The restaurant was definitely busy especially the bar. Outdoor seating that day was full as well. We sat at a booth behind the bar which was a nice spot. The atmosphere was intimate and lively at the same time. It took a minute for our waitress to come, but once she came the service was great. Our waitress was Jordan. It was my first time eating at Moxies and she had great recommendations. The menu had great options and a wide variety of dishes to choose from. The prices were decent $20 and up for dishes. I chose the Blackened Mahi Mahi and my friend chose the Steak Salad. The Mahi Mahi was a little overcooked, but overall the dish and its flavors were delicious. My friend loved her Steak Salad. The steak was tender and the dressing was light and spicy. I decided to get dessert and I chose the Toffee Pudding. It was AMAZING! The pudding was moist and not overly sweet to me. I love a good Moxies moment. I've been several times but this time my people and I were feeling very 'appetizer curious'. My go-to entree is the Chicken Madeira rigatoni. 9/10 for me every time, does it for me every time! Decided to try a cocktail this time around. Tropic Thunder was good, but of course mocktails are (in my opinion) always unnecessarily overpriced. This was no exception lol. For appetizers we tried: Hot Baked Crab Dip - definitely more on the cheesy side, would liked for the crab element to be more present. 5.5/10 Calamari - definitely one of the better calamari's I've had! A solid serving size, well fried, just enough seasoning on the crust and a good sauce to dip it in. 8/10 Steak bites - this one did it for us, very tastyyyy! Just would've been nice if more came with the serving for the price. 8.7/10 Again, Moxies is definitely a tried and true spot for me in the Galleria area. This review is long overdue, but anytime I think of a brunch place that is sure to satisfy anyone I am hosting, it is Moxies. On this particular occasion I ordered the farmers hash, maple glaze brussels sprouts and Keylime pie for dessert and everything tasted so good! I was a bit confused about the cherry sized tomatoes that came with brussels sprouts but they were some of the most seasoned and hearty size veggies I've had in quite some time. The Farmer's Hash had a good balance of bacon and sausage so that at each forkful, I got a taste of a little bit of everything to enjoy. The only downer of my order was the Lychee Martini; it almost tasted like a mocktail... The service itself was attentive and quick, especially for it to be a Sunday morning. I loved the spacious patio seating. I'll be sure to add Moxies into my regular rotation of Houston mainstays. read more

We walked to this place from our hotel, the Chifley Hotel. Great find - was looking for a place to watch World Series and MNF and score sat at a high top booth table and watched to my hearts content there is no sound on the TV's, just music turned up just a bit too loud. Nicely decorated and pleasant to the eye place. I think I was the only one wearing a jersey for the game. We weren't too hungry and I ordered a really tasty salmon and avocado cob salad. We tried to make reservations online beforehand but it said none were available but we walked in and was seated upstairs. Nice atmosphere not loud and relaxing. I like that it has a good menu with diverse choices. It being a Canadian company makes sense. Our waitress was very nice and engaging. Gave us great drink recommendations. Now the appetizers were delicious the baked crab dip was sooo yummy and bread toasted just perfect. I don't like calamari but it was nicely seasoned and not super chewy lol the shrimp was yummy but the best part was the shishito peppers. Now the downside I ordered the cheeseburger and asked for medium well it was super pink and had to send it back. Now the new burger was overcooked but I just ate it. Think that was the downside plus it was three of us and they added automatic gratuity of 20% we had no idea and wish they had told us ahead of time. So FYI if you go on the weekends. This was my boyfriend and I first time going to Moxie's. I really enjoyed it, and there was great atmosphere. The game was playing so he was able to watch the game as well. Went to Moxies on a random weekday. It wasn't busy at all during the day and parking was easy. I'm pretty sure on a weekend , parking would be harder as there are so many other establishments near the restaurant. Valet was also an option. We were seated upstairs where there was a full bar, TVs , and indoor/outdoor seating. Our waitress was pretty kind and lovely. While exploring the menu , there wasn't really a big selection to choose from. I decided to go with the chipotle mango chicken paired with quinoa. The restaurant is large with lots of bar seating, regular seating, and outdoor seating. Great location for larger groups as well. We had no reservations and originally wanted to eat at the Honey Hole, but unfortunately wait times were over 2 hours.Then my friend suggested we try the moxies that was across the street. Wait times there was only 15 mins, which was perfect for us. Service was fast, friendly, and informative. I guess Moxies is a chain, but I personally never heard of it. Our server did a fantastic job of informing me on the menu and customer favorites. I ordered "The Big breakfast" it comes with eggs, your choice of sausage or bacon, a roasted tomato, I opted to have French toast instead of the multi-grain toast, and finally I got potatoes with ketchup. The breakfast definitely lives up to its name, portions were humongous. I was definitely full. They have great options for mimosas, but I had a mocktail instead and found it to be quite tasty. What a great place to hang out with friends. We had a wonderful dinner with our group this evening. The service was great and we all agreed being on the second floor was ideal. It's not a place in the evening to take little ones though. The tables are pretty close together and there is definitely no room for them to run around. The room was filled with lots of conversation and sometimes hard to hear at our table of 8 but that is to be expected on a Sat night almost anywhere in Houston. Make a reservation because they fill up fast and they also do offer valet parking. Gratuity was automatically added to our ticket for a party of 8. Super cute place, valet parking is available. We didn't valet but found a spot. We were seated upstairs in a quiet area in the back. It seems they were putting all the groups in the back. We ordered drinks and apps, the nachos were huge and filling. I will get them again to share with the whole table and maybe the neighbors. We also ordered steak bites and lettuce wraps. Food, drinks, entertainment Went in for an early December team lunch on a Friday. Reservation for 8 so the first time to book for a larger party is 11:15 am. Parking lot is shared with Old Navy, Marshall's and a slew of other stores. There is also complimentary valet parking. Not sure what the first floor looked like because we were taken straight upstairs. There is an elevator all the way in the back with a two person capacity. It's a pretty, clean nice restaurant. They spent time and money into the aesthetics and did a great job. There is a bar and TVs (sports). You can see into the back area where the kitchen is laid out. (Partial glass) Moxie's offer a variety of food. Appetizers start at $14. Entrees start at $15 (Caesar salad) on upwards. Our table ordered burgers, veggie bowls, mahi chicken sandwich, vegetarian red curry, chipotle chicken and blackened mahi mahi. One person ordered the appetizer dumplings. The burger people all said it was delicious and huge and the fries were crispy and tasty (you can sub fries for a side salad). The vegetarian options - veggie mushroom bowl and red curry were liked as well. The curry bowl was filled with peppers which was somewhat of a minus to my coworker. The mahi mahi chicken sandwich and chipotle chicken were "so good". I ordered the blackened mahi mahi. It came on a bed of mashed potatoes with chorizo and corn and salsanado. Mahi mahi was cooked perfectly. Blackened but tender. The mashed potatoes were a perfect complement. The chorizo and corn mixture worked really well and added a little spice. The only negative thing was they topped it with pieces of avocado. The avocado was not ripe. It was so hard and had no flavor. Could have left it off. The place is very pretty and had a nice vibe. The majority of the wait staff were really pretty young women. They were all very friendly and on their game. And really gave off good energy. My friend and I were yelling at each other and continually couldn't hear what the other one said. There was only one other table in the room, the noise was all from the TV's/Music. I understand having it louder for a game night, but when your patrons can't even communicate, we don't exactly ever want to come back. We made reservations while still on the road and arrived to a short wait, but it wasn't long before we were seated with a smile. Our server was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. We ordered the steak bites, calamari, house salad, and sweet potato fries. Everything was absolutely delicious. Each dish had its own distinct flavor, yet everything complemented each other beautifully. The steak, in particular, was cooked to perfection. The only downside was the lack of professionalism from the hostesses at the entrance. They spent most of their time chatting and laughing with each other and seemed visibly irritated whenever they had to stop to open the door or assist guests. I observed this during the short wait and noticed the same behavior with several other diners. Their demeanor gave off the impression that guests were an inconvenience. I'm not crazy about Moxies for dinner, but I love it for brunch! I went on a Saturday without a reservation and it was busy as expected, but I was able to find a spot at the bar. Service from the bartenders was great for the bar being pretty full. I had mimosas and a Southwest omelette which was fantastic and came with plenty of breakfast potatoes. I was also able to substitute the regular toast it came with for french toast as well. The atmosphere is really nice with plenty of TVs at the bar to watch the games, which the staff was also very kind to change the channel for the game I wanted to see. Other people sitting at the bar were friendly to talk to and I even ran into an old college acquaintance.
