SEAFOOD TRIO with LAMB CHOPS signature cajun 'trio spice' alfredo, shrimp, lobster, crab meat, rotini noodles

We came to Provaré for Father's Day at the last minute. We didn't have a reservation but we were seated immediately. Parking is around $16, unless you park on the street. We were greeted as soon as we arrived and the service was great throughout brunch. The music was nice and entertaining. My husband and I had the Seafood Trio and Lamb Chops, which were delicious. I had the Cypress cocktail and he had a Lemonade Drop Martini with tequila and both were great! Overall, it was a great experience and I can't wait to go back and try the other options.

a day of spontaneity led me and a girlfriend to a birthday dinner. Despite not having a reservation, we were able to get outside seating (first come first serve) overlooking the spacious patio with an open view of the restaurant. Everything about this place screamed luxury. The service was excellent, there was minimal wait time despite the growing Friday night crowd, and the food was delicious! My only note is that I felt like the menu was limited.

I wanted to visit this place because I knew they had a location in Chicago. They've been opened close to a year now, but I ended up going during the first weekend of March, right when they just launched their brunch menu. I appreciated that the menu was straight to the point and not overwhelming. You want to keep parking in mind, it is a paid location. There are plenty of signs everywhere about towing and how to park. Even when we came to the front the hostess asked did we pay for parking. So it showed me don't bypass it. The waitress came and offered complimentary shots. The food came out and I didn't try any cocktails. The food was delicious I tried the chicken and honestly, if they offered an option for just wings, I would definitely order that because it was tasty. Overall, great vibes and worth checking out.

After attending a Yelp Event, I decided to stay and order a few dishes and get the full experience for myself. So glad I did bc the experience was Everything ..sat at the bar and had the most amazing time! DJ playing all the right jams and a saxophonist playing along throughout the night the live music. Let's begin with the ambience.. big screen tv's at the bar playing all the classic brown people films, beautiful waiters and waitresses serving up the delicious cocktails, and very welcoming decor to invite You in to enjoy no matter the hour or occasion. Here You will find a well thought out menu and Cajun inspired dishes. I had the pleasure of speaking with the chef who recommended the lemon pepper chicken and it did not disappoint. He also recommended I try the butter cake and My God was it divine! Every bite was buttery and delicious! I sat at the bar and while waiting on My food which I'd actually ordered to go I had a few shots along with My cake as I was told it's better to have the real experience. It's true! There was ice cream on top but I couldn't give it much attention bc the cake was out of this world but together it is a perfect duo. My bartender Shai was so sweet I hope She's there when I return for My next visit. I ordered the salmon egg rolls to go as well and they were just as good as They were at the Yelp event. An explosion of flavor in your mouth every time. There is a patio with plenty of seating and fans to cool you off during warmer temperatures. The restroom was very clean with nice esthetics as You enter. I have no complaints. I look forward to supporting this black owned business again soon and so should You if You're looking for a good chill vibe and food. There was hookah offered but in no way does it take away from the fine dining experience. I'm told parking can be expensive in the area and from experience of visiting the XO the week prior I can say that may be true. It varies I believe on the day and parking lot You choose. I caught a Lyft to prevent having to drive and park so that's always option of course. Especially if You plan to indulge in the delicious cocktails! Thanks Provaré for a delightful evening! See You next time ..

When we walked in we received a free complimentary glass of wine. The ambiance was amazing, very classy atmosphere. We ordered the seafood tower as well which was very good and served all 3 people in my party. The chef came out to pour the sauce over our tower. Definitely a great date night place.

Provare is beautiful! The ambiance is there for sure .. very elegant , great music , hookah , food and vibes . The service was great as well my waitress was very informative and sweet . Now they start you off with a welcome shot ! Niceeee but was not good . We started off with the Caesar salad and it was about a six out of 10. The Doritos kind of threw us off. So it tasted more like Dorito and salad. We did have the lobster bisque pasta, which was pretty good, but it was way too spicy. I probably would've got something else how known that it was that hot. The Italian beef pizza was okay , it honestly was a bit dry, but I do understand the logistics of what they were trying to create. I think if there was some cheese on the side, it may have been good. Overall, the food to me was about 7.5 out of 10. I will be coming back to try some other things, but if I had to compare this location to the Chicago location, the food is totally different as far as taste. I didn't really get much flavor. On another note the manager, the woman is not that nice like at all.

I went to Provaré with a group of friends for happy hour to celebrate one of their birthdays, and it was such a fun night out. We started with drinks, which are named after different Houston neighborhoods -- such a cute touch. For food, we shared the spinach and artichoke dip, which was fantastic. The bread it came with was especially good. We also split two pizzas, and both were solid choices. The vibe is great -- they had a live DJ and a saxophone player, which made the whole place feel lively and perfect for celebrating. Overall, it's a great spot for a night out, especially for happy hour or birthdays. I'd definitely go back!

Now I hate a sneaky restaurant. There is a 20% tip that "doesn't go to the serves/wait staff" somewhere does It go? This place requires reservations and a deposit but you won't get seated close to your reservation time. Think late night dinner plus loud music. The vibe was cool, the prices were inflated but all around not a terrible time. Lamb chops left me needing a little more seasons on them especially for the price point. The star of the show was whatever that crab dip was. Goodness, crab, cheese and the perfect bread for dipping

So today was my daughter's graduation day and she picked this place to go out for her dinner for graduation. We walked in well we actually didn't walk in when we walked up to the sidewalk. It was like a security guy was standing outside. He pat my kids farther down. He asked to look in my purse. He asked to look at our ID we showed them, and he asked do we have reservation reservations? I told him Yes, so he told us to go into the inside to the left and speak with the receptionist when we got to the reception desk she was very friendly and very welcoming both of the ladies it was really nice. The inside the one thing I couldn't vibe with was the nats. The nats were all over our table. They didn't even offer us a little fan to keep the flies away and all the other tables had the little fans except for hours onto the food out server I can't remember her name, but she was super super nice. I think it started with a K if I'm not mistaking she told us about the drink menu. What was the sweetest drinks do she have? What mocktails do she have, and my baby girl had a mocktail it was called the Edo. She said it was really good. Me and my cousin had the third ward and it was really sweet and strong no cheap liquor was in that drink my baby girl ordered some crabs stuffed egg rolls. I wanna say I tried a little piece and the little piece that I had. I thought it was too salty, but it was good lotta flavor so my daughter, my cousin and my kids dad they both had the trio and it was like it had all seafood in it and it came with the pasta. They said it was spicy and my cousin and my kids dad added a lamb chop. They both got well done like who eats well done lamb chops but that's neither here nor there I had the model got processed up with no bell peppers. It was OK. You have fettuccine pasta chicken sausage. I counted all the chicken sausage and it was like six of them. They could've gave me more chicken sausage than anything and my other daughter. She had Alfredo pasta with lamb chops and I told her to get a medium rare and she said that they taste really good like that and it wasn't chewy overall, the food was OK will I be back? Probably not but if you're thinking about going there go ahead don't let me stop you.

Provare is a nice restaurant located in the Heights area of Houston. This restaurant offers a great playlist and a classic movie playing on the big screen while you enjoy a satisfying meal. We were greeted by our server who offered a free shot to start the night. The menu is loading with pasta options but there are other entrees available as well. I ordered the Smash Burger with lobster and truffle fries. I must the burger was everythinggg!!! It was filled with flavor and it was a nice portion size. Hookah is also available. The only down side to this restaurant is the access to affordable parking. There is a parking lot available which is owned by a third party that is very over priced. I paid $14 for less than an hour of parking. Once my time expired, I had difficulty adding additional time. The hostess at Provare was absolutely amazing and she helped me with my parking issue. she was very professional and friendly. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant to witness a great experience.

I love this restaurant so of course I had to try their new brunch. Our waitress was amazing. All the food was delicious. We decided on bottomless mimosas I picked the your way option with strawberry flavor which came in a cute little tower. We chose the crab cake egg rolls as a starter can never go wrong and they aren't stingy with the sauce. I ordered the steak and eggs with soft scramble eggs with cheddar cheese added. I wanted my steak more medium but it was closer to the medium well side but it was still tender and flavorful. The shrimp and grits has more of a gravy type sauce than a cream cause. The chicken and biscuits needed a little more seafood sauce so we asked for more and of course out waitress brought some more. Other than that everything was 10/10. Even the breakfast potatoes. I missed bottomless mimosas in Houston so I'm glad Provare brought it back and it's a good deal!!

I visited Provare' for my birthday after seeing it all over Instagram and overall, it was a good experience. The food was nicely plated and definitely lived up to the aesthetic expectations set online. While the ambiance wasn't exactly what I anticipated, more of a bar and grill feel, it was still a pleasant environment and I enjoyed the vibe once settled in. The drinks and desserts were definitely my highlight of the evening both were delicious and well-crafted. The only downside was that it was a bit pricier than I had expected, the hookah smoke was a bit much but I felt the quality and presentation justified some of the cost. Overall, I'd definitely recommend not for a special occasion or a casual night out but to grab a bite to eat. The service was good and it's a fun place to celebrate with a meal and creative drinks.

Is there parking fees in their lot? Automatic gratuities? Or Services fees?

Is it true about all of these fees before you even order?

I'm not sure what type of fees you are referring to but there is a $2.50 pre-paid deposit per person to make a reservation. However, we were walk-ins and didn't have to pay a fee. Gratuity is automatically included in the bill.

So we walked on over to this little speakeasy and were immediately greeted by the bouncer. On a Thursday night, it was quite crowded, but were able to find the last remaining seats at the bar. We were seated at the left end of the bar, which was nice because we had our own little "nook" away from the rest of the bar. Adjacent to us was the server station - the one server tending to the tables, Marilyn, frequently came by and we immediately befriended her. She gave us excellent recommendations and provided her opinion on several drinks. Robin was the bartender who took care of us throughout the night. She was super friendly from the moment we sat down and gave us stellar recommendations on food and drinks. She was happy to tweak a couple of their seasonal drinks to our liking, and even offered to mix other drinks that weren't on the menu. Fantastic service from Robin throughout the night. I started out with Tommy's Margarita - this was just their take on a classic margarita, nothing super special. I then ordered the Oaxacan Old Fashioned - think of an old fashioned made with tequila and mezcal in lieu of bourbon. I was a bit cautious about this one since I am not a fan of mezcal, however the smoky flavor was not very apparent in this one, which was a huge plus! I also got the Ardilla - very unique drink made with mexican corn whiskey, cocoa nibs, sherry, and a milk punch. I award this drink for most unique I've had in a while, definitely give it a try if you're up for something new. To finish, I had the Cariña - their take on an espresso martini made with reposado tequila. I really liked this espresso martini - it was a great way to finish out the night and I left feeling inspired to make my espresso martinis at home using tequila now! With the little room we had left in our stomachs, we tried the Pato Tinga Memela, which was duck leg (no bone) with beans and onions and cilantro atop a memela. I haven't had memela specifically per se, but consider me a fan. It is basically a mini "cake" of masa that is pan fried to a slight crispiness. An Oaxacan speciality, where else can I find these in Houston!? We also tried the Guacamole y Tostadas. The guacamole was unique in the sense that it was Oaxacan style, so contains pepitas, pickled onions, and queso fresco. The tostadas were super crispy and reminded me of how they serve guacamole in Mexico (rather than with chips/totopos). Fun fact is that this bar is owned by Goode Company. Next door to this is Goode Co. Cantina, so it's nice that they created an adjoining restaurant + speakeasy concept within the same strip. At one point in our visit, Levi Goode was standing next to us. We didn't know until after he left and Marilyn informed us, that that was THE man. Just doing a casual check-in of his bar. We really had a good experience at Bar Buena and look forward to returning. The food menu has quite a few offerings I wanted to try had I not come from a cooking class. We were also told that the seasonal drink menu was set to change shortly after our visit, so I look forward to trying these drinks!

Clarkwood really does know what they're doing with these espresso martinis! I loved the added touch of the burnt marshmallow on mine, and the coffee seemed pretty good quality too. The second time I visited I also enjoyed their spicy watermelon margarita. Also amazing. It tasted a little bit like a spicy jolly rancher? SO good! They also let us know that if we posted and tagged them on our instagram, that we could receive a free round of shots. So, of course, me and my two friends posted to get some shots too. We were able to try the Mexican candy shot, the raspberry lemon drop shot, and the mini matcha martini shot. Honestly all were really good, but my favorite in order were the 1) raspberry lemon drop shot, 2) Mexican candy shot, then 3) the matcha martini shot. The matcha martini was good but as it's creamier, I think having it as an actual martini than a shot is more appropriate. Still, it's a great way to try a new drink and just sip on it rather than taking it as a shot. Also - the venue is so elegant and charming and such a cute spot for a date night. The music was a littleeee loud for me considering it's such a small space, but that's okay. Either way, I loved Clarkwood and will be coming back again :)

$200 to Get Cancelled On: A Masterclass in Hospitality…read more We had reservations for the 6:00 p.m. cocktail tasting in the Arc Room and were required to pre-pay $200--because nothing says "relaxing evening" like a firm financial commitment. Naturally, if we hadn't shown, we would have been charged in full. However, when we arrived right on time, we were informed the event had been canceled. Apparently, a text was sent. Equally apparently, none of us received it--nor did at least three other couples standing there having the exact same delightful surprise. The double standard was...impressive. The hostess was apologetic but clearly overwhelmed and not exactly presentation-ready (stained shirt, visibly frazzled), which didn't inspire much confidence that this was an isolated hiccup. The proposed solution was to seat us in the bar--with the added charm of a strict "out by 8:00" timeline. A bold recovery strategy for canceling a prepaid experience at the last minute. We ordered the Clarkwood gin and tonic and a lychee martini--both recommended--along with a charcuterie board. Neither drink made it to the finish line. The martini leaned aggressively sweet, and the gin and tonic featured fruit-infused ice that sounded creative but tasted...confused. It also arrived in a shade of neon blue that felt less "craft cocktail" and more "science experiment." The charcuterie board was, somehow, the standout disappointment. The almonds were oily, the meat had those telltale dried edges of something that's been sitting out too long, and the accompaniments included what appeared to be Wheat Thins and plain animal crackers. It was an unexpectedly nostalgic trip to a child's snack drawer--just not one anyone asked for. Overall, this might pass as a novelty stop for a 21 run looking for something flashy, but between canceling prepaid reservations, questionable communication, and execution that missed the mark at every turn, it's difficult to find a compelling reason to return.

Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. Next, I had the Three Dots and a Daiquiri ($13) with Rum, Lime, Velvet Falernum, All Spice and Pineapple and it was very similar to one of my favorite tiki drinks, the Three Dots and a Dash, complete with 3 luxardo cherries. To finish, I had the absolutely incredible Golden Laurel ($16) with Gin, Italicus Bergamot, House Greek Botanical Bitters and Sea Salt. It is equally beautiful served with a clear bay leaf and delicious. Last night, I was guided by the friendly bartender to try the Et Tu Banana" ($15) with Banana Bourbon, Spiced Pear, Creme de Banane, Campari and Citric Acid. I was a little worried about the cocktail being overly banana-y but it wasn't at all. It was a fantastic drink. For my last call, he recommended the Left Hand ($13) with Bourbon, Campari, Sweet Vermouth and Chocolate Bitters. Again, fantastic. Both nights, the bartenders and drinks were fantastic. Ambiance is nice with moody lighting. They even have a bidet toilet seat in the bathroom! Hidden Bar is a "hidden" gem, for sure. HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I ordered the Side to the Sun Rises (gin, yuzu, mint, cucumber) which was light, refreshing, and well balanced. I would recommend it if you enjoy gin-based cocktails with a slightly fruity flavor. My friends really enjoyed their drinks as well. They have all day happy hour on Sundays/Mondays. We did not get a chance to try the food, but the menu looked great. Overall, a fun spot with great vibes and definitely worth checking out!
