Valentine's Day 2026 at Mastro's was truly delightful. It was a breath of fresh air dining-wise, since the last couple of steakhouses I've chosen have not been so good. First, the wait for our table was short, which was good because the restaurant was packed. Our waiter was attentive to our needs, and the meal was exquisite. The decor inside was beautiful, and the overall atmosphere was vibrant. This was the best steak I've had in Houston in a while, and I highly recommend it to others.

This was my second time coming to Mastro's , and I have to say it never disappoints me. The first time was August 2022, and now January 2023. Once we arrived, our reservations were indicated for four instead of six, they were able to quickly accommodate us. When we first arrived, we had drinks at the bar with, sir Ivan. He was absolutely phenomenal, attentive, and definitely the go to bartender in that establishment. That man was absolutely breathtaking with the presentation of his cocktails, as well as knowledgeable with cocktails in general, and I cannot emphasize that enough. If you are ever at the bar, ask for Ivan! If you're seated, and you wanna cocktail, ask for Ivan, if he is there! Now, onto the entrées. My love had some steak, which I forgot to get a picture of it, with some lobster mac & cheese, we shared, as well as asparagus. I sure wish yelp with allow you to share videos, as you can see the true beauty of cocktails or As you can see here, I ordered the salmon, and a crabcake for an appetizer. the food was honestly phenomenal, and a true 10 out of 10. The ambience was relatively busy, as well as fairly dark. I wasn't too crazy about that, but they had TVs to see basketball, so I didn't have much to complain there after lol I do think there should be a bit of a dress code, because some people looked very... Let's just say, not presentable. I hope to see that change. Nonetheless, again, I had a second great experience, 10 out of 10, and I will be back once more. Update: valentine's Day 2026 Onur was our waiter for the evening. He was absolutely amazing from the beginning to end. First and foremost, from the beginning, we were welcomed with open arms and beautiful smiles at the front. Our host escorted us to our table and gave us further direction. Now, the star of the show was our waiter, Onur. He made amazing suggestions for myself, as well as as my man. We ended up getting a number of items from starters, appetizers, to our entrées, as well as cocktails. Our glasses were never empty, and our bellies were always full. This restaurant never ceases to amaze us nor fail us. The service is always exceptional, the ambience is always sexy, intimate and chic. And the food is always flavorful warm and never takes too long. But whenever y'all do come, ask for Onur, as a man goes above and beyond for his guest. Thank you again!

Food is good atmosphere is great. It's always high recommendation when you're looking for fine and then of course the lemon drop martini.

Amazing experience always, we love keep coming back and have Frank as our waiter, so professional and knowledgeable of the menu and wine it made our dinner so special and memorable! Thank you Frank and Mastro's for such a lovely evening !!

Lovely restaurant with your typical upscale steakhouse vibe - low lighting, white linens, etc. Service was good, friendly, and attentive. The 8oz filet was very good!! Cooked perfectly and melted in my mouth! Mashed potatoes as well as the mac n cheese were very good. *The mac n cheese is served in a HUGE shareable pan* The brussel sprouts weren't too great. Kinda hard and plain. Wouldn't get those again. Pork chop is really good too! All in all, I'd recommend trying Mastro's. We enjoyed ourselves.

This was my first time at Mastro's and from the time we walked through the door we were not disappointed. The ambiance is amazing, the staff was beyond amazing and they had live music and he played/song a little of everything. There was something there for everyone. Our server was amazing and very helpful. For starters we had calamari and wagyu sushi and my dad orders the French onion soup and let me tell you, by far the best French onion soup I have had. The broth was amazing and the cheese was so delicious, 10/10. It was my first time having the Wagyu sushi and it was really good. I also ordered a gimlet, one of the strongest and most delicious gimlet I have ever had. My sister and I split the 12oz bone in steak and we ordered cream of corn and spinach to share. My dad had the Chilean sea-bass. The steak was like butter and when I took the first bite, i was in heaven. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and butter cake. Both were great, but, the butter cake stole the show. When I took the desired bite I was transported to my childhood and my grandmother's cake. This is a huge compliment. The next day get called my sister and asked about our experience. They really take care of their customers, which not every nice restaurant does. I cannot wait to come back.

I came into Mastros recently & Everything went fantastic! I will definitely say that it was all because of Nia behind the bar. Her menu knowledge was as great as her drinks. When I tell you she kept me captivated within the restaurant and within her smile/friendly personality! I just became a regular here now all due to her sweet service and drinks! Originally I was never a brussel sprouts kind of guy, that was at least until she sold them to me. Now Im in love with brussel sprouts and a seat at her bar! I learned about a new cocktail as well because her, I love scotch and she put me onto a Godfather cocktail. I even stayed slightly after closing just for the conversation withMastros 10/10 Shout out to Nia Williams behind the bar!!!!

came here to celebrate my partner and I anniversary and Harrison was our server. Gave us 10/10 experience and really appreciate the effort he put in to making our day very special. Food was very good and we took some of Harrison's suggestions like the American wagyu steak and the Kansas City strip. Meet with the General Manager Sam and he was very kind as well! Definitely would recommend this establishment again for a special occasion or just regular dining!

It's never a bad time at Mastro's. Decided to grab dinner with some friends on Monday night. We got the seafood tower: jumbo shrimp cocktail, oysters on the half shell, lobster tails, chilled red king crab claws and crab legs. Seafood heaven! The oysters were so tiny... but still good. You can't complain about lobster. The crab claws were juicy. After the seafood tower, I was so full. Then the steak came out... cooked to perfection! I've never had so many sides in my life: Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Wild Mushroom & Black Truffle Gnocchi, White Cheddar Lobster Mac & Cheese, Scalloped Potatoes, Asparagus and Black Truffle Sauteed Wild Mushrooms. The lobster mac had a good amount of lobster (for the price, I would hope so LOL). Gnocchi with mushrooms? What's there not to love! My favorite cocktail is the Key Lime Martini. It's my absolute favorite! I rave about it to everyone that'll listen haha. I would go to Mastro's JUST for the drinks. They used to have a salted caramel martini, but I'm sure they'll make it if you ask! My friend had an ube cocktail and it was refreshing. If I wasn't so full, I would've got one, too. There's an extensive wine list (they literally give you the encyclopedia of wines lol). The ambiance is dark and romantic; great for a date night. There's a water wall so if you have a girls night out, the pictures would be so cute. Service was great as expected, after all, it is a high-end steak house. The servers were so attentive to us. We had some leftovers, and even when we microwaved the steak the next day, it was still good!

We came here to celebrate our anniversary. Great atmosphere and they had a pianist playing. The steak was really good but our favorite was the rack of lamb. The butter cake was really moist and slightly crispy.

As soon as I walked in and heard the live music going and saw the decor, I knew I was in for a good time. We started with drinks. I ordered a gimlet which is probably the strongest gimlet I've ever had but it was really good. For appetizers we had the calamari and one of the rolls. Then we shared the 12oz bone in steak with creamed spinach and corn. The spinach wasn't as flavorful but the corn and steak was too notch. Our waiter was nice and paced our meals perfectly. I appreciated the extra touch of the manager calling the next day to ensure we had a great service. We will definitely be back and highly recommend this spot for a date night or dinner with friends/family. There's something for everyone

INSANE time to be on hold.

The lighting is dark, intimate, and behind every level and door, there is something else going on. There is an element of discovery in every corner and a new adventure on every floor. Ever watch the movie Tron? There are some areas of BCD that feel incredibly futuristic with neon-lit interiors and a legitimate sci-fi feel in some areas. The areas are ass follows: The main bar with a DJ and a spacious dance floor, the red room with a visualizer setup of big bass and pulsating lights, the gold room with a speakeasy feel and a curated cocktail menu, with the secret room that is a unique space behind a certain set of doors. Most of the music on the main bar is good, the DJs are energetic, and the bartenders are efficient while professional. It's not the easiest place to photograph anything, but the different (hidden) spaces make it a worthy destination for discovery. The one area that I don't love is that they rock automatic gratuity. I do love how diverse the crowd is on the weekends, which is a testament to the city. Drinks are solid, but the speakeasy drinks are the ones that stand out the most. The latter definitely comes at a price, but beware that some drinks may have all the presence but not enough of the substance. __________ My photos: https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/behind-closed-doors-houston?userid=ysCBsXWPB-LAiewVS3jZfQ

Giorgio's is one of two restaurants located in the beautiful Hotel Granduca across from Uptown Park. This is a very nice and upscale property with both valet and self parking available. When I made the reservation I initially chose inside dining but after arriving we decided to take advantage of their offer to sit outside to take advantage of their lovely patio by the pool and the very pleasant outdoor temperature that evening after a nice rain. We were seated near the door where the pianist was playing nice music inside that allowed us to enjoy it. Giorgio's HRW 3 course dinner this year was $39 and I ordered the Burrata Panzanella Salad as my first course followed by Cavatelli Bolognese for the second finishing with the Flourless Chocolate Cake for the third. While waiting we were brought some bread along with trays of peanuts, potato chips and popcorn which was a little unusual but no one complained about free food. I must say that all of my 3 courses were excellent tasting. The Burrata salad had a large serving of the above named cheese with fresh tomatoes, olives and ciabatta bread that was cool in temperature and I could have eaten another serving because it was so good. The pasta bolognese was equally delicious except warm in temperature with the Akaushi beef making a delicious bolognese sauce over the cavatelli. Finally the cake was fresh and full of chocolate flavor with berries and Nutella alongside a scoop of rich vanilla ice cream. This was a perfect finish for what was a fine meal. The outdoor setting was also perfect and one that I wouldn't hesitate to repeat. So why do I only give 4 stars? For some reason not understood by anyone in our party was the fact that this entire experience took us 3 hours from being seated to paying the checks for our 3 course dinners. They didn't appear to be too busy that night so I'm not sure why it took so long. Our group did enjoy our time together and filled it with good conversation but still this dinner should have taken at least 1 hour less. My company decided on an array of appetizers for his "main course", while I went with their Fried Salmon (served with Mac and cheese, and collard greens). Omg! So tasty! The pepper was prevalent throughout, but it did not over power the flavor! I make collard greens at home (and learned from one of the best), and even I found theirs to be pretty good! My company selected fried ribs, along with the lobster bites, and crawfish queso dip, and their wings! I tasted what he got, and we both agreed that the wings were "off the chart" delicious with a beautiful straight off the grill smoky flavor! So good that he got another order to go! Lol. What made our experience there amazing was our server Ray (Rajean = think "the 90's TV Show "Living Single"..."smooches"!)...she was the best!! From her hello, to walking us through the menu (as first-timers), her recommendations, her energy, her smile, and her being very relatable. Loved her! My only gripe was the bathrooms, the ladies room needed attention (and could use a spruce all around). It doesn't help that it is a bit small, but yeah, they need to focus some efforts on ensuring it's upkeep. As for seating and parking, there is a bar area and limited seating toward the front of the restaurant, but it does extend to back of the house with additional seating. There is also patio seating as well. Because this place seems popular, it is best to reserve ahead to ensure your seating. Parking is very limited! They do however, offer valet (but at $20+). There is off-street parking, but be careful since this is a residential area and nothing is secure. All in all, I really had a great time and left with my belly full! Definitely worth checking out! What was lost is now found! Enjoy!

The valet charges $20 or $40 on a week day and its not even that busy. We walked in and nobody was at the front so we asked the first person we saw " do we sit ourselves" , and she said just wait by the entry door and the host will seat you. Well the host came and said "go to the front & I can help you there". Cool. We get seated and given a menu. The menu was dirty, sticky, and over all filthy. We moved inside to the bar and asked a waitress "can you let the bartender know we are here, we think she went to the back for something". The waitress looked at us and said " oh, she know y'all here. She gone come". Instead of letting her know we moved to the bar. Anywho, Bunny took great care us. She literally made our experience go from 1 to a high 8. Ask for Bunnnyyy at the bar!!! Nice music playing. Minus the bugs on the patio (love bug season in tx) and long wait on the patio, the ambiance wouldve been great outside..... Service needs a bit of tweaking, food was good, Bunny was amazing. Well be back in some time. Thank you Bunnyyy!
