We came on Monday for HH around 7:30 pm, we know HH was almost over, we live 5 mins away and wanted a quick bite and drink. The valet charges $20 or $40 on a week day and its not even that busy. We walked in and nobody was at the front so we asked the first person we saw " do we sit ourselves" , and she said just wait by the entry door and the host will seat you. Well the host came and said "go to the front & I can help you there". Cool. We get seated and given a menu. The menu was dirty, sticky, and over all filthy. We moved inside to the bar and asked a waitress "can you let the bartender know we are here, we think she went to the back for something". The waitress looked at us and said " oh, she know y'all here. She gone come". Instead of letting her know we moved to the bar. Anywho, Bunny took great care us. She literally made our experience go from 1 to a high 8. Ask for Bunnnyyy at the bar!!! Nice music playing. I will start with the positive! the loaded fries with chicken was very flavorful and a shareable size, 3 of us ate from the plate and we had leftovers. Fourth Ward welcomed my best friend and I with opened arms! We loved Lost & Found and was so happy that not only social media but friends told us to find this spot. They have a pretty large patio with plenty of TVs and fans for the summer time, but there is indoor seating as well. Hookah is also available here. Now this is a well known popular spot in Houston, so prepare to wait to be seated, especially if you do not have a reservation (highly recommended you do). Lines can be long and wrapped around the parking lot during peak times. However, once seated, their service is pretty quick for how busy they get. Parking can also be another issue because their small lot is valet only, so if you don't want to valet you will have to find street parking which can be a real task in that area. The parking was a bit sketchy and we got charged when we parked our own vehicle just for the parking attendant to move the car. Next, we were seated fairly quickly and we got a great seat with high tables and booth located near the bar. Lost & Found was a great spot to hit up after visiting the Museum of Fine Arts. They've got limited parking so valet or be mindful of where you park your car (thieves in the area, tow trucks, etc.) The patio area is great, the whole place is decorated nicely. So perfectly crispy & well seasoned. The service was terrific - a dark haired gentleman with stretcher earrings & black nail polish served us. Probably one of the most thoughtful servers we have ever had. There was an automatic 20% tip for our group of 5 which I get & support. Only problem is I definitely should've tipped even more so I'll have to get him when I go back. They play loud rap music with plenty of curse words so if you're delicate about these things maybe don't bring the kids. But mine are teenagers & we didn't mind. I will say to make sure that you read because they already include gratuity and someone like me. I always tip so me not even knowing that they already took my tip. I tipped again so he ended up getting a really big tip. And it's not that he didn't deserve it. I think everyone should have an option of tipping. If you already have gratuity, then remove the tip option after someone pays. Or just remove the gratuity. The ambience is nice . They play a lot of hip-hop music, which I love. They also serve Hookah everyone in Houston serves Hookah. Let me start with the ridiculous valet only parking. Or signs that say there's a lot of break ins in the area. So, $20 for regular valet and $40 for VIP valet. That was a turn off. We had reservations and they gave us a booth. Cool... however you can tell they don't really clean the tables/seats. There was a long hair on the booth - btw, we were there when they had just opened so they did have time to clean up. The table had something sticky on one of the corners. Service was decent. So we waited about 45-60 minutes for a party of 3. We sat outside and the temperature dropped, we requested a heater multiple times and was finally given one after about 20-30 minutes. The prices online is different than the menu. When asked about it our server informed us they updated prices about a month ago, on the website the jerk lamb chops are $43 but on the "new menu" it's $61.... $61 for 4 lamb chops seem a little pricey. They also do not take tap pay you have to have a physical card because they don't want to get "scammed" since it happened a lot in the past. They are also cashless. No Apple Pay and no Cash App cards are able to be used because they are worried about being scammed. Met some colleagues here on a Friday afternoon. This is a good place when the weather is good and you have a group. We had about 10 people rotate in and out over the course of 3 hours and it was easy. Our server was nice but her shift ended while we were still there so she closed us all out and we had to start over with someone else if we wanted to order something. I suspect this was so she could get her tips that she rightfully owned, but it just felt a little weird to be asked to do that. Overall people enjoyed their food - wings seemed to be a hit. I had a sprit-free colada and it was SWEET! I'm talking pour half of my glass of water into the drink and let the ice melt sweet. Because of that I didn't really want to eat anything and a few other people said their drinks were too sweet for them as well. Music isn't too loud outdoors so you can actually hear across the table if there are no side conversations. The first issue happened on February 4, 2025, which was my daughter's 22nd birthday. We had carefully planned her birthday dinner at this restaurant down to the hour. Only a few hours before our reservation, we received an email stating that our reservation was being canceled because the restaurant decided to close. Canceling a reservation within hours of the event is extremely inconsiderate, especially when people are celebrating important occasions. It caused unnecessary stress for both my daughter and me as we had to scramble to change our plans at the last minute. Despite that frustrating experience, I decided to give the restaurant another chance on February 27, when my sister wanted to try it. Unfortunately, the problems continued. When we arrived for our reservation, the staff could not find our reservation in their system. The only reason we were eventually helped was because I had the foresight to take a screenshot of the reservation confirmation. Without that screenshot, we likely would have been turned away. Customers should not have to prove their reservation with screenshots. That alone reflects poorly on the organization and professionalism of the establishment. The next issue involved our server, Tyrese. When it came time to be seated, he offered us only one table--an extremely undesirable one that was directly in the way of traffic. I declined. Immediately afterward, a group of women who had arrived after us were offered two table options, including the same undesirable table and a much better one. Naturally, they were allowed to choose the better table. That option was never offered to us. This felt incredibly unfair and dismissive. To make matters worse, we were told the wait would be 10-15 minutes, yet we waited over 45 minutes to be seated, and even longer before receiving proper service. When I politely mentioned to Tyrese that I would have gladly chosen the better table if it had been offered to us, his response and body language were extremely apathetic. My sister and I even noticed him making small snickering gestures behind our backs, which was completely unprofessional and disrespectful. After the meal, I asked to speak with the manager, Courtney. I want to be clear about one thing: Courtney was the only professional part of this experience. He listened carefully, handled the conversation respectfully, and even offered a dessert or drink as a courtesy. I declined because I wanted the restaurant to understand how inconvenient and disappointing the overall experience had been rather than simply smoothing it over with a complimentary item. At this point, I honestly have no plans to return to this restaurant. The reservation issues, seating situation, excessive wait time, and the dismissive attitude from our server created an experience that felt disorganized and unprofessional from start to finish. The only reason I would ever consider giving this place another chance would be because of the professionalism demonstrated by Manager Courtney. Without that interaction, this would have been an even more disappointing experience.
