Came here to try the burgers, because the Burger Bodega owner says Tiny's burgers are honestly very good! And indeed they were. Our waitress was very nice and prompt, and she split the burgers for us so we could try each of the two burgers they had - the T5 and house. They're both solid, I would just knock off one star because they are low on the sauce inside. And i do love a good sauce on a burger/smashburger. Also for the price point, it's steeper but we were pleasantly surprised by the generous portions.
Really enjoyed my time at Tinys. We sat outside, and it was hot, but still somewhat enjoyable, I believe our server was Jalyn, she was so sweet and patient. Per her recommendation, I had the Paloma cocktail, which was light and refreshing. For my meal, I ordered the Watercolor, and it was incredibly flavorful! My friend is allergic to shrimp so we had to get the shrimp on the side, but surprisingly it still was very flavorful. I appreciated the kitchen ability to keep the consideration for the allergy in mind. We also shared the prosciutto and fig pizza. I was too full to try it, but my friend really enjoyed it. For dessert, we split the chocolate chip cookie, which was served warm, gooey, and perfectly soft. It was the perfect way to end the meal!
After going to the 'wrong' location of Milk & Cookies next door, I wanted to return here for my last lunch before leaving town due to the pleasant staff and similar menu to Tiny Boxwoods since they're in the same family. Taking a seat at the bar, a bartender/server was attentive right away. I didn't see the risotto I had the previous day at the other restaurant, but they had the summer salad I was looking to try, in addition to some of their house fries. For some reason, I thought the salad had grapes (it did not) so I guess I was trying to make this into a Waldorf-style in my head, but I still enjoyed what I had. There weren't as many julienned apples in my dish as I have seen in photos, so I made sure I consumed all the ones I came across. Candied nuts-pecans in this case-make everything taste better. Fries with ketchup and a chipotle aioli were also enjoyable, and I could not finish the portion. Bar filled up while I was there, and the smaller dining room off the side was packed. It took some time to grab the attention of the staff, but once I did, I added five cookies to go for the flight crew. Parking lot is a little oddly shaped but I'm just grateful they have a (free) lot, and spots were available on both my visits. All the places under the Tiny Boxwood umbrella I tried were enjoyable, and I look forward to trying more dishes on a future visit!
I love the ambiance of this restaurant! Such a warm and inviting place with nice restrooms. When a restaurant has a good bathroom, it says a lot about the establishment. My Migas were phenomenal. The pork almost melted into the eggs. The French fries with my husband's Cuban sandwich were delicious and the chipotle aioli was great. We also got the crab cakes, which we enjoyed and the bread, which I would have preferred to not be toasted. They do not accept reservations for breakfast, so we arrived right when they opened and I am glad we did because the place quickly filled up on a Sunday morning. My mo would have enjoyed this spot. Great indoor seating and a beautiful courtyard area.
Farm to table style restaurant with beautiful seating outside - vibes are vibing once again especially during this beautiful weather season. Ordered a variety of food - would say menu is pretty limited to salad sandwich burgers etc. the appetizers are very solid - including crab cake and burrata! the salmon was amazing - however would recommend with a salad. The grain and things was seasoned weird and was too heavy for my liking. I enjoyed the grapefruit juice reportedly was fresh juice! Would appreciate if their food menu has more options Service friendly attentive nice people!
The bakery trio was a great starter and desert option. The cookies are always the best. My food was the steak and eggs. I asked for my steak to be medium, definitely wasn't. Also the wait as extremely long. Took over 45 minutes for our food to arrive. We had to ask for togo boxes as soon as our food arrived due to the long wait.
Stopped by Tiny's No. 5 yesterday for a later Saturday brunch. The place was packed, so our wait was about 50 minutes--but that's to be expected on a busy weekend. I ordered the Mother's Breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausage, a cinnamon roll, and the Lucky Burger. My absolute favorite part of the meal? The biscuits with honey butter and strawberry jam that came with the Mother's Breakfast. The biscuits were perfectly fluffy, and the honey butter + strawberry jam combo was honestly to die for--I'd go back just for those. The cinnamon roll, unfortunately, was a bit of a letdown. It came out room temperature and the icing wasn't melted at all, which made it feel pretty "mid," especially knowing their pastry shop is attached. The Lucky Burger was solid, and the highlight was definitely the Lucky Sauce--that really made the burger. Overall, the restaurant has a cozy, inviting vibe. It was super crowded, but the aesthetic makes it a fun spot for brunch. I'd definitely come back for the biscuits and maybe try some other pastries next time.
We love the location of Tiny's No 5 in the heart of the West U neighborhood! We've been visiting the location for years for their bakery and had never actually eaten at the restaurant until yesterday for lunch. It's a very nicely decorated and laid out restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating options, and the staff was attentive throughout our visit. We thought everything we ordered was good, but if we were to return we agreed the only item we'd likely reorder is the burrata. Although the presentation made it a bit tricky to eat, we figured it out and really liked the flavor combination with the burrata, marinated tomato, olive tamponade, pesto and balsamic. My husband got the Bee Keeper cocktail and said it was refreshing, but much more suitable for spring/summer than winter. For his entree, he got the Lucky Burger and said he liked it but wasn't wild about the sauce that came on it, wishing that had come on the side instead. I ordered the Cubano with a side salad and thought it was tasty, especially with the homemade spicy mustard. The sourdough was tender and slightly crispy due to being buttered and pan fried. We ended by getting cookies to go since we were full from our meals! We always enjoy their cookies as a straight forward, basic chocolate chip. Given the service, ambiance and quite decent food we wouldn't count out a return visit, but we did feel like the prices were a bit steep, especially at lunch time, paying over $100 with tip for what is listed above.
I've been here multiple times and love it every time but I've only been for dinner twice. My second time was my 30th birthday with my mom and I had the redfish it was SO good and packed with so much flavor! Of course couldn't forget the BEST cookie ever!!!
it is a nice modern feel inside and i felt high quality food. We had some sourdough bread to start and each had a cocktail from the menu you see in the picture. they loose the 5th star since said cocktails arrived after the mains arrived despite being ordered right when we sat down. I guess understaffed, but still.... Other mains ordered were teh lucky burger, some sort of pasta boulanaise, a chicken romesco. All good stuff but lots of flavor, spices etc. not for those used to eating more plain food. Did not see the wine list as , i mentioned, the cocktails came after the mains had arrived so not really time to order wine.
I love this for a good outdoor experience. Great little neighborhood restaurant that is quiet. They do get busy at times.. but always has a relaxing feel. The food is so so good. My favorite has to be the sweet potato fries but also really really love the turkey club. Great dog friendly patio, I try to bring my dog Oliver when I can. I've sat inside at the bar as well - very clean and good service. Just a perfect little West U gem!
First time here having dinner, we loved it. We came here for a birthday party of 18 people and our waiter did absolutely amazing, and they found a table to fit all of us which was awesome! They have both indoor and outdoor seating, Everything we got was really enjoyed! They have an extensive wine and cocktail list. Lots of good red wine choices. We got the braised short rib and the T5 Burger both so freaking good and full of flavor. We definitely will be back for date night.
Anytime I come to Houston I make it a habit to hit up one of these locations for brunch. As usual I always have a pleasant experience. Rania was our waiter and she was great along with the rest of the staff. Everyone was accommodating and Rania made sure we were takin care of and everything was to our liking. The menu seemed to have changed a bit unless it's just this location, but I got the burger and sweet potato fries and delish! Of course I had to order a few cookies to go and a couple to eat on the spot.

First time brunching on a Sunday... This place is always jamming on Sunday, as it closes early at 2:00pm. Normal wait time around 11:30am is 30-40 minutes. If you live in the area, the key is to get on wait list before actually arriving. Getting on the wait list requires an in-person visit, and then you can show up at the appointed time. The restaurant is good about estimating the wait time, and they will text you with a 10 minute grace period. We tried margaritas, the Mom's Breakfast, and an avocado club sandwich. The food is really tasty, and the cocktails are pretty awesome. I would suggest ordering as soon as you sit down so the food wait is not as long. read more
The food was good, but took forever to come out. We waited 30 minutes to get our order and then they did not bring out the entree for one of our party. After 10 minutes of asking various waiters to locate our waiter, he finally came over and said there was a mixup in the kitchen and they had to remake it. It took 14 additional minutes to get the last entree. The manager. Laura, came over and apologized and said she would take some items off the bill. That's a nice gesture, but it wasn't just our table that had extraordinarily slow service. One table left before they got their food because it was taking so long. The restaurant is busy, but not as busy as it usually is at this time. read more
I really wanted to like this place after we had such a great experience at the attached Tiny's Milk and Cookies, but ultimately, despite handling the Father's Day rush well, I was really disappointed with the food quality and service. We came in on the Saturday before Father's Day and as expected there was pretty good turnout, but I do feel the front staff handled it well, no complaints there. The atmosphere is very cute and rustic, although with a full house, it gets really loud with everyone conversing (not to mention it's all hard surfaces on the interior so the sound just bounces around). Our server was pleasant enough, but did not seem to care for our table and was more interested in talking with other staff off to the side. Due to the weekend turnout, the food took quite a while to come out (45 minutes or so) and with very little update from anyone. We got the burrata brunch appetizer, chilaquiles, and salmon avocado toast. The Avocado toast took another 10 minutes to come out after everything else did with the reason being "we're still plating it". I'm no chef, but I wasn't exactly impressed with the plating of salmon tossed haphazardly onto the toast and plate. Taste for everything was just "okay" despite touting farm fresh ingredients and everything being made "in-house". The others at my table had a slightly better experience with their dishes, but overall it was a bit of a letdown (despite how good things looked in the photos). I wouldn't be so critical if it weren't for the fact there are so many other great restaurants in the area and in Houston as well. Maybe it was just a busy day and I would be open to giving it another shot, but ultimately, I would try somewhere else if I wanted a cozy brunch spot. Again, I did enjoy the milk and cookies and pastries courtesy of the adjoining bakery, but the actual brunch service could use some work. read more

I just came for their cookies and ice cream and it was really good! I tried their food before but I remember not enjoying it as much so this time I went back for their baked goods and it didn't disappoint! Definitely recommend cookies. I bought it from the little stall outside and it came out fast and the workers were nice and gave us recommendations. read more

I love the Tiny's restaurants. I have come here and to Tiny Boxwoods many times for coffee, brunch, and lunch/dinner. They have hosted private events for my family. I love the rustic farmhouse, outdoor garden ambiance. It's the best place for outdoor dining when the weather is nice. I wouldn't order brunch food unless you want to leave hungry and unsatisfied, but the lunch and dinner food is generously apportioned and tasty. This time we ordered the cubano sandwich (the sandwich and the sweet potato fries were terrific) and the turkey burger (was more of a miss, because the patty was sour from all the cheese in it, but the soup was good). Unpopular opinion - their cookies are overrated. read more

Firstly, the restaurant is extremely cute and is perfect for a night to dress up and dine! Secondly, all of the food was amazing. Everything was brought out in a timely manner and it tasted delicious. Here are food ratings of everything we ordered : 4/5 Meat & Cheese Board - The mustard cream was extremely tasty. 5/5 Crispy Brussels Sprouts - Whatever that sauce was on the side PLEASE give me more it was so good I started to take my fork and eat the sauce from the bowl. 4/5 Hamachi Crudo - Very refreshing! 5/5 Pesto & Mozzarella Pizza - I was a bigger fan of this pizza, reminded me of a Margherita pizza but the touch of pesto added that perfect slight nuttiness! 3/5 Fig & Prosciutto Pizza - It had an interesting flavor profile but I'd say it's worth trying. 4.5/5 A la mode - Personally the cookie was baked a little longer to my liking, but if you like a more solid cookie then I would highly recommend this. Lastly, I would like to thank Christie for such an amazing experience! She even gave the dessert menu a seat next to me so I could get a full look :) read more

I been wanting to try this place for a while and finally got to experience eating here. I enjoyed the food I had which was the turkey bacon sandwich. I enjoyed our waitress and had a pleasant experience. The ambiance is beautiful inside and it's kept tidy. I would definitely order their chocolate chip cookies because they are my favorite! read more

Overall, had a good experience. This place is beautifully aesthetic. It's a great place to bring your girlfriends for a cute brunch spot! Our server was phenomenal and so sweet. She provided great service and gave us everything we requested. I went with my girlfriends and they said the turkey club was good, but the turkey burger was okay. I got the migas and I thought it was very very tasty. I definitely recommend this place! read more

This place is so beautiful inside! Right off the bat, the host team is extremely welcoming. The menu for breakfast is a bit limited, but still offers the more popular breakfast/brunch dishes. Our service experience with our waiter was extremely minimal, even with our orange juice arriving after our meal, but still showed good hospitality service so it didn't take away from the dining experience. Plates were filling and the jam & biscuit combo was so good! The sausage patty was very dry. I recommend the bacon instead. Parking lot is a fair amount. Fun fact: Tiny's Cookies is just around the corner walking distance! read more
We were so impressed with our dinner here. The atmosphere and service were outstanding and the food was incredible. We got pizza and some appetizers and loved all of it. Best of all, you can finish the meal with cookies from their attached dessert stand, Milk and Cookies. One of the best overall experiences we have had in Houston. read more

We came here for an early dinner on a Saturday (around 5:15pm) as it was lovely patio weather. Many others thought so as well, but we were able to snag a table regardless. They have an interesting menu in that many of the dinner options were heavier/bigger than we were looking for (but they sound delicious) so we opted to share a pizza and the shishito peppers. The pizza crust was just about perfect; nice char while still having a pleasant softness and droop for foldability. The peppers were also nice, albeit gigantic when it comes to generally small and poppable shishitos - a pleasant surprise! Service was very friendly. Make sure to stop by their cookie/dessert walk-up window around the corner for a sweet treat before you leave! read more

This place has that small town charm, but is located in the middle of the city. Came here for a quick dinner on a work night. Ended up having a glass of sauvignon blanc and a pizza. I got the Tony's Calabrian pizza which was amazing. Too bad I could only eat 3 small slices as I had a big lunch earlier otherwise I would've finished it. Our waitress was attentive and came back to check on us several times. Definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more

It was my first time at Tiny's so it was a good thing my friend was already there and she saw me looking lost it's tucked away at the end but such a wonderful place! We didn't get a table because the place was packed for lunch. We ended up sitting at the bar which was great because we met Ruby. She waited on us and she was just fabulous from start to finish. Great personality, wonderful knowledge of products and menu, and she made great suggestions and accommodated us well. I only have a photo of my drink because I devoured my avocado toast with an extra crispy side of bacon and no black pepper. My friend loved her pancakes and bacon and enjoyed my drink so much that she ordered one too with a splash of ginger beer This is definitely a great place to dine at and catch up with friends read more

Tinys No 5 is a beautiful, sophisticated space that was jam packed on the Saturday morning I went. The menu is not very big and leans towards savory items than sweet. I got the pancakes and bacon. The pancakes were golden, fluffy, light, and gently sweet. However, the little container of syrup was 1/3 full, which felt a little cheap. There was a ton of butter and 2 spoonfuls of jam. The ratio of toppings served felt, but maybe that's just me. The server was friendly and brought more syrup when I asked for it. Bacon was well done and was on the crispier side. Tried some of my friends' dishes and they were both over salted. Prices are slightly expensive for the quality of the food, in my opinion. Service time was reasonable and everything was beautifully plated. Overall a cute place to have brunch, though quality of food is pretty average. read more

I've been here a few times but it hasn't been super memorable, as I find it to be hit or miss. I've had avocado toast for brunch and more recently, fried okra and a Caesar salad. The salad was drowning in dressing--soggy and unpleasant. The croutons were tiny, scarce, and more chewy than crunchy. The fried okra was very crispy and delicious, but half of the order seemed to be crispy batter bits vs. more substantial pieces of okra. I liked my white wine mojito--it was decently strong, but would have had a nicer flavor with the mint being muddled instead of a large sprig as garnish. We finished with the doughnuts for dessert, which I've definitely had better. I'd consider them to be cake doughnut holes, of which I'm not a big fan. However, the basque cheesecake with cherry sauce and candied pistachios was fantastic. Service was good, and they gave us some excellent chocolate chip cookies to take home. Overall, I'll keep coming back, I'm sure. I'd really love to try their steak with blue cheese risotto some day. read more
The food always hits, but the service fell short of the amazing typical Tiny's experience. Demi our server was really friendly, but we got far better service from other wait staff bringing the drinks and food than we did from her. She forgot to bring our water to our table, and we got our food far before we were ever given water. The matcha latte I ordered was great, and so was the honey lavender flat white my dad ordered. The hot chocolate looked like it was made from a packet. My friend ordered the dirty matcha chai but she stated the waitress didn't ask her to sweeten it and would've tasted better if it had been sweetened. I was celebrating my one year remission from cancer treatment so it definitely was a little disappointing that the service could have been better. Overall, we did wait a tad bit for our food to arrive, and it was quite noisy indoors but it was raining and humid outdoors. If it weren't for the great flavor of the food, I wouldn't return. Yes! They allow pets in the outside grass area. They also have dog bowls for water upon request

Depending on when you go yes. Mostly because people tend to order slowly?

Nope! Tiny's at night is table service. You're seated by a host and the server takes care of you.
