Overall, my breakfast experience at Adair was pretty good. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive and kind. I ordered the Farmer's Market Skillet, which was absolutely delicious, perfectly cooked eggs, fresh greens, and just the right amount of flavor. I switched the sausage for turkey bacon and requested for over hard eggs. The black beans I ordered on the side were also really tasty and well seasoned. The misses for me were the biscuit, which tasted more like plain bread with chicken and a side of honey, and the coffee, which unfortunately didn't have much flavor. I personally liked it and would give it a 8/10, but it was a bit dry for the rest of my friends. For Appetizer: -Hummus w/ bread- 10/10. There were mushrooms, olive oil, and pomegranate on top of the hummus. Everything paired very well with the warm pita bread. -Brussels sprouts- 10/10. The sprouts had a great crispy, smoky flavor. For healthy food, this ain't bad. I am not a crunchy girl, clean eater, whatever. I love greasy burgers and food with lots and lots of spice and flavor. So for a healthy restaurant that has food that I will enjoy...hey that's pretty impressive to me. Honestly, you would never know Adair kitchen use to be Vietopia back in the day with the remodel inside. I think even with the long line, they went pretty fast and we got our food at a reasonable amount of time. The staff seemed helpful and kind, but some did seem overstressed as they hustled to clear tables and what not. The place was tidy, which was a plus. The food, again, I'm not like this crunchy girl, but I enjoyed the parts of my meal that weren't things I usually don't like. Like I don't like eggs even though I still eat scrambled eggs, but the rest of the breakfast bowl was good. I had my eggs scrambled caused I wouldn't even touch poached eggs. My husband ordered a goat cheese, spinach and egg taco with salsa and it was actually good. When he described it to me it sounded so gross. But I liked it. This was a a cute brunch spot but food was just average. This location has plenty of parking in a large plaza. The interior is very spacious. You order at the front and food is brought out to you. I went to Adair for the first time this week and i loved it so much! The place is beautiful, very spacious, bright, and open. There's plenty of seating inside and outside, and great service. It's in a cute shopping center so you won't have to fight for a parking spot. Also can be a good spot to study too as they have outlets around the booth areas! Fresh fish tacos: 8.8/10 - SO good. Fish tasted fresh and they were seasoned very nicely - I substituted the original side to sweet potato fries. The server told me several side options that I could have, so just ask them if you want something else! The fries were crispy on the outside but so fluffy on the inside. They have a small little courtyard outside and if you're trying to beat the heat, inside is just as cute, or even cuter as well. In the past two weeks I have now been three times because I LOVE their coffee and breakfast bowl. It's amazing and light to where I don't feel like I just ate a gross meal. What happened??? I only write reviews if an experience is stellar or so supremely bad, I feel the need to warn others. The last few times we've eaten at Adair it seemed to have gone downhill but safe to say, after tonight, we're done. We just had one of THE WORST meals we've ever had. Chicken wasn't cooked through and I will now live in fear for the next 24 hrs; praying that I don't get food poisoning. Also the sauce that came with should only be served with a dessert dish ( why anyone would want sweet apple pie filling on their chicken is beyond me). Beet salad also bad and the branzino was the smallest cut of fish I've ever received at a restaurant. I recommend skipping Adair, too many good spots in Houston; I'm VERY surprised it still has 4 stars. read more

Went to a dare kitchen for the first time. We ordered three items up the menu. Two of my guests were served and one was left out. I had to chase the waitress to get her item. Surprised to find this little gem in a high-end strip mall. We came for the live music and stayed for dinner. Perfect weather for eating outdoors. Although they don't have a gluten free/dairy free menu, the manager was able to assist me with a made-to-order green chicken enchilada with cilantro rice, refried black beans all surrounded with the best green tomatillo sauce ever, perfectly seasoned. My husband ordered the pasta dish. We cleaned our plates. Both dishes were spot on. We are sitting here talking about who we are going to bring back here when we come again. What made this such a sweet experience was it was totally unexpected. I have a difficult time finding any restaurant that can accommodate my dietary restrictions. I came into this location so excited to try based on the food selections. Not only were we not greeted, but if you are of color, please, do not waste your money because they do not want it. I promise you. My boyfriend picked this spot for me as I'm visiting. Upon entering, we were not greeted, of course, and we were unaware of how to order (there were no available FULL menus to be seen), so we waited in line. Once the family ahead was finished, we stepped up (another family had to tell the very rude, disgusting, unpleasant lady that we were first--she was aware, as we were the only people in line at the time of asking if we order or can sit down). Here's the funny part: I asked about the ordering process and was met with "Well, you have to pay before you order." I responded and said, "Oh well yes, of course, just wasn't sure if we were able to take a menu and sit down." She then fixed her mouth and told my boyfriend and me, "You had plenty of time to go sit down and then order." Let me tell you something--the devil is alive and well, and hell is hot. That lady knows who she is. I wouldn't tell the homeless person on the street to go to this establishment because obviously they don't know what customer service is. For this to be my experience while visiting, whoever owns this should be very embarrassed. And if it's family-owned, shame on you because I see other comments of people that look like me not being greeted or not having a pleasant experience. Remember, whoever you pray to does not like ugly. I was excited to write a good blog and take content of this establishment, but I will be sure to tell everyone to never step foot in this place. I don't care if the food is good--I'll be sure everyone I know doesn't come here. Black people, STAY AWAY.
