Great service and food! Even the customers are nice. We used to come here regularly but since we moved we come by wherever we're in the area. After we sat down Raul quickly recognized us and took our order. He always remembers us but not just us. I could tell who all the regulars were by how they were greeted and with the staff knowing their drink orders before they were ordered. One older gentleman told the barista that she was a rockstar, which sweetly made her smile. Both our lattes were very good so the compliment was well deserved. My breakfast was delicious. I usually get the huevos rancheros or the avocado toast and my significant other gets the chicken and waffles but today he tried a new item, the egg and bacon biscuit. We wanted a chocolate muffin but someone had bought the last one. Raul went to the back and found another one. It looks like now they're baking their own muffins. They are soo good! My family party of 10 were supposed to meet at the Buffalo Speedway location but we were told that they could not accommodate us because a big party of 85 was going to be there at the same time. The person who called suggested we relocate to their other location on San Felipe and Sage Rd in the Galleria area. So, reluctantly, we did. This location is a little smaller venue than their Buffalo Speedway location and unfortunately when we got there. they told us that there's no record of a reservation for 10-12 people. Nevertheless, the manager and servers hastily assembled 2 big tables together and sat us down. The whole family had a good time because this was a Christmas family dinner. We went to the Buffalo Speedway location last year and we had such a great time, we wanted to replicate the fun. No such luck this year! Well, we ordered small plates (appetizers) and then to the main course. The food was good - not great this time and although we had fun with the family there, the fact that we had to scramble to go to another location was annoying. Nevertheless, Adair Kitchen is still wonderful for these kinds of gathering. The food is good, their servers are young, friendly and energetic. We might try another venue next year for dinner though. Adair is a brunch gem! Staying close to the Rice area, I was on the hunt for a well rated brunch spot for my mom and I that wasn't super expensive. Adair popped up and I looked at the menu. Very affordable prices and it was only about 10 minutes away. It surprised me to find this place in a Randall's shopping center but I'm glad we went. My avocado mash (add two eggs) was really good. I was pleasantly surprised to find out it also came with a side of my choosing. My mom, visiting from Indiana, went Tex mex and got the huevos rancheros. Had to add a mimosa since it was brunch. I enjoyed the flavor of the waffle as well as the chicken. That was my favorite. The pesto pasta was good. I would have preferred for it to be a bit more creamy, but overall the taste was pretty decent. We did not enjoy the homemade lemonade and homemade juices. It was a pretty day so we sat outside. Met a friend here for brunch on a weekend and this place was packed. To me that is a good sign as the food is probably really good. It is also located in the Galleria area so all the good brunch spots are usually packed just like this. It is an order at the counter and seat yourself kind of place which isn't always my favorite type of service. Getting through the long line and then waiting to find a seat was not fun. The young people at the counter weren't all that welcoming and the food took a long time to come out. Nothing really stood out to me on the menu so I just went with an order of their French Toast with a side of bacon. The French toast was pretty substantial in size and was topped with berries. It can be hit and miss at places, but this was a pretty good French Toast. It was nice and fluffy with just the right amount of crispness from the griddle. The bacon on the other hand left alot to be desired. They were lifeless, limp, fatty pieces that could've used some more time on the grill. If you can't get bacon right, I don't want it. Overall, this was an ok spot. It is super popular but my experience didn't leave me yearning to come back anytime soon. read more

Found them because they're close to the office. I ordered a sirloin burger and sweet potato fries for curbside pickup at lunch. I was very glad I food was ready at the stated time but they were so busy, the curbside part didn't happen. It was no big deal though, I was able to walk in and grab it quickly. Meh. I don't see the alure, but one of my friends raves about it, so I decided to give it another try. Afterall, it had been at least 4 years since my last visit. The restaurant is one large room with a high ceiling and a large fan. They have a covered patio outside, inside regular seating (a few booths along the wall, but mostly table and chairs) and bar area seating (about 3 stools available). The bar area is also the walk-up ordering section, so it can get a little crowded. The service was fair and the food arrived fast for the crowd they had this particular day. I was not satisfied with my meal. I purposely ordered something "easy" so I wouldn't be disappointed (that didn't work well) and I was also very hungry; nothing worse than not enjoying your meal when you are seriously hungry. I figured a burger and fries would be satisfactory - not so much. The parmesan and rosemary fries arrived cold, the burger was charred on the edges, the lettuce was so large I had to tear it in half and I had to ask again for mayonnaise even though I specifically requested it when initially placing my order. I waited at the table for about 3 minutes then finally had to get up and ask another person since my server didn't return. That kind of nonsense really makes me upset. That's one of the reasons I don't like the multiple people service restaurants do these days. They are too busy and you lose consistency with runners taking the food to your table. I heard another table return their waffles because they arrived cold, so I know it wasn't just me. They do not have sweet tea, but they do have lemonade available. I mixed my tea with lemonade to made it sweeter. I will say the prices are pretty good. My meal was under $20.00 even after tipping 20% (yes, even with all of that, I still tipped 20%). There is literally nothing special about this place, in my opinion. I absolutely HATE giving lower than 4 starts. I take reviewing seriously and love to see good places thrive. I also don't like being disappointed in my meals, so there's that. If under 4 stars, then I must have truly not enjoyed it. It takes very little to make me happy with my experience, so that should tell a lot. read more

To be honest, the music was a bit loud for me, which I don't normally mind... when I actually like the music. Alas, that was not the case yesterday, so I put on my noise-canceling headphones. I could still hear the restaurant music over my own haha. The burger was ok... too much bread in my opinion, and I much prefer dill pickles over sweet. I was hoping for some of signs signature sauce or aioli, but I didn't sense anything. The French fries were mediocre, as well. I'm glad my server brought the ketchup, because it helped! I ended up ordering a cup of coffee and water and the order of chicken and waffle. Wow this was so good there chicken tenders are amazing! Thick white meat lightly breaded and extra crispy. Our waiter was awesome and I wish I caught his name. It was actually my 1st time having chicken and waffles in my entire life and I went full throttle and poured all the syrup on top of the chicken and the waffle! I know.. i live on the wild side!
