I ordered the salmon to go, and overall it was really good! The salmon was well-seasoned, flavorful, and cooked nicely, and I enjoyed it with the rice and sauce. My only regret is that I didn't realize when ordering that the meal didn't come with any vegetables. I definitely would have added a veggie side to make it a little more balanced. Overall, though, the salmon was a solid choice and something I'd order again--just with vegetables next time!
We stopped for a light dinner after heading home. My friend loved her salad. I ordered the hummus because I had tried it at another Adair location. But the hummus was topped with mushrooms which I don't like. I had to scrape them off. Mushrooms have no business in hummus. I don't know if they add mushrooms in the Buffalo Speedway location. I didn't see any when my friend shared his hummus with us. The pita bread is delicious. Our waitress was friendly and serviceable. Meal service in the evening is with wait staff, as opposed to breakfast.
I hate to write this review, because the manager Hannah was empathetic, apologetic, and gave me a refund....but I dislike restaurants that advertise one thing on the menu, and then pull a bait and switch on what they think are unsuspecting patrons, by serving something else! This is the second time I've purchase the steak frites to-go at this establishment within a week, and they aren't serving what the menu states! Menu clearly says the cut of steak for the steak fries is ribeye, and this is absolutely NOT RIBEYE. The first time I ordered it last week, I let it slide because it was still tasty and this restaurant is in walking distance from my house so it's convenient...I just figured they ran out of the advertised cut of beef and made a one off substitution. Went in today and ordered the same dish and was served the same cut of beef, which is obviously a flank or skirt steak... definitely not what is being advertised! Called and spoke with the manager and she was apologetic and promptly gave me a refund. I'm only writing this review because it is a poor business practice to advertise one thing and serve something else. Either increase the pricing for what is advertised or change the menu to reflect what you're actually serving....It's just as simple as that! Transparency matters and this is very deceptive. Not sure if I will dine here again.
Had a nice breakfast there this AM. Food was very good and service was quick. I would not recommend over easy eggs (as I got) with the Huevos Rancheros as with the rancheros sauce it makes it very watery, and the tostado won't soak it up. Better get over medium or scrambled eggs.
I ordered the chicken and waffles to-go, and the ordering process itself was smooth. When I arrived, I saw a line and thought, "Okay, this place must be good." Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The server working the to-go checkout was very attentive to the women in front of me, but never acknowledged me once while I waited. When it was finally my turn, I paid, and he immediately tried to move on to the next person without even asking if I needed anything else. I had to stop him and ask for hot sauce before leaving. Once I got to my car and opened my food, I was even more disappointed. There wasn't even butter for the waffles, and nothing about the presentation or order made me excited to come back. The chicken was overcooked, tasted old, and was honestly inedible. It went straight into the trash. Between the poor customer service and the disappointing food, this was a complete waste of money. Food: trash. Service: trash. Experience: trash. I definitely would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
My partner and I, individuals you may describe as unfit, decided we needed to change that status . So, like the intelligent individuals we are, we went and completed F45 on a Saturday - which includes a bonus 15 minutes of exercise. Well, suffice it to say, my partner and I left the class HUNGRY. Enter: Adair Kitchen. Adair had been on my brunch list for a while, so I was thrilled at the chance to try it. The cashier joked along with us about our workout, and was incredibly friendly. I am partial to restaurants with an order-at-the-cashier set up, and Adair's ordering line moves quickly and efficiently. The baked goods looked mouth watering but we ended up not having room in our stomachs to try it. The service was fairly quick, and the aura of the restaurant is great - casual, but nice decor, sit where you like. The food was delicious. We got the huevos rancheros and the avocado toast. I do wish the huevos came with a second tortilla shell, but the hash browns were delicious. The avocado toast was a solid dish, though I wasn't floored. A great eating experience and definitely a place to visit again in the future!
One of my favorite places to "Lunch". A favorite of many in the Tanglewood/Galleria area it serves Salads, Soups, Burgers, Plates. Serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with Classic American dishes. Check out the Chicken Harvest Salad and Roasted Beet Salad. Two signature bowls. Large dining room area with a mix of tables and booths. Plenty of parking makes it easy to meet with your lunch buddies. Too many good dishes to list....
Our 1st time here and the place was packed for lunch. Service was OK. Food wise on my own opinion wasn't impressive. Wonder why it's so packed. I had the potato soup and it was super salty couldn't eat it. The burger was just OK, I surely had better burger elsewhere. The ambiance by the bar is nice.

Went here for brunch and had a solid meal. I ordered the Farmer's Market Skillet with my eggs overeasy. It was delicious but could use a hint more salt (easily remedied this myself). The amount of food is definitely fair for the price I paid. My friends ordered the French toast with a side of bacon and the huevos rancheros which they both thought were good. I will say that the juices here are on the pricy side and I would recommend getting juice elsewhere or pressing it yourself. The interior has a farmhouse vibe to it and I loved how bright it was inside. In addition, the restaurant wasn't too noisy and we could easily hear each other talking. read more

Really great staff (curly short haired female) who helped recommend food and drinks. Ended up getting an omelet and Think Pink (Beet, strawberry, pineapple etc...) not exactly what she suggested but close enough. The place looks good and is filled with people. I'll definitely be back for more food, drinks, and people also seem to be able to get work done here. Better option than a Starbucks for a change read more
Mmmmm! The vibe of this place feels cozy and familiar. I love the laid back yet classy energy. The food is yummy! I had the black bean quinoa burger, sweet potato fries, chocolate chip cookies, and mahalapeno green juice. I'd definitely come here to eat again! I can't review the food because they wouldn't make my to go order and I couldn't wait another 27 minutes for an order of one waffle and one pancake Just to be told that they are still working on it. Made an order online on Toast and the estimated time my food would be ready was 10:51am. I got to the restaurant at 10:53am. My mom went in expecting to go in and pick up the food. She walked in and was told the food wasn't ready and would be ready in three minutes. After 10 minutes, the food wasn't ready, so my mom checked again. They actually went to the kitchen to check and came back out and said they are making the food right now. After waiting several more minutes, we knew that they were just not going to make our food. I told my mom to get a refund. The employee who gave her the refund didn't apologize or try to make it right. My mom came back to the car at 11:05am empty handed with a refund. The restaurant could not make a to go order of one waffle and one pancake in 27 minutes! The waffle batter and pancake batter I assume is already premade. All they had to do was cook the batter. Not sure why the kitchen wouldn't make my food even after the front of the house went to the kitchen to ask about the status of my order. After wasting 45 minutes of my life driving to this restaurant and waiting for food that the kitchen refused to make, I eventually ended up at Magnol Bakery. I was still upset, and while I was in line waiting to order, I called Adair Kitchen to speak to the manager to voice my displeasure. I spoke to the manager and he indicated that he was open to "make things right". How are you going to make things right? I already left hungry and had to go somewhere else. It is not like I will ever go back to this restaurant. Update: OMG! I just checked my text messages and they texted me at 10:38am that my food was ready!! See the pic. WTF. I am so confused. So my food was ready at 10:38am, but when I got there at 10:53am they said it wasn't ready. Where did the food go? And if you mistakenly gave my food to someone else, why would you refuse to remake my order? It is not my fault you gave my food to someone else! read more

Had the Kale and Quinoa salad, no feta cheese but with added chicken ($9.50 + $3). It was excellent. The dressing was tasty and in the right amount. Not too heavy like in most places...... It came out pretty fast. The waitress was really nice, which seemed to be the case of the whole staff. Overall? Salad was very good and fresh. Staff is nice. Prices are good. I really like this place, and have for years. The only downside is that it has become TOO popular, and is always packed! Always a big workday lunch crowd with a line all the way to the door from the counter to order. And though I'm always worried I won't find a place to sit, one always opens up just as I need it. We sat at a two-top table today that was crammed elbow-close to the ones next to it. The tables themselves were a little too long, and we found ourselves leaning forward across the table to hear one another. The crowdedness is my only reason for knocking off one star, but in its own way it's a testament to how good of a restaurant the Adair Kitchen is. The food is always very tasty. I didn't have it today, but one of my favorites is their Bacon Waffle, with bacon pieces mixed into the batter. Gives it an awesome flavor when mixed with the maple syrup! Today I had their Club Sandwich. At first when it came out, I was disappointed that the bread had not been toasted. However, it looked incredibly fresh, still lightly powdered with flour on the crusts; possibly made in house or delivered from a nearby bakery. Then as I began to eat my sandwich, the bread itself had such a wonderful flavor that I was thankful it hadn't been grilled! The sandwich is pretty big and could probably feed two if you were looking for a smaller portion. I did note however that the big chalkboard had listed the sandwich price as $9.95, but the newer printed menus had it listed as $10.95, so I guess it has gone up on price recently. Overall a tasty and trendy choice that I keep going back to! Would definitely recommend, but be sure you aren't in a rush. read more

First time trying this place. It was great. Ordered first then found a table. I had the avocado toast subbed the feta cheese for goat cheese and added a scrambled egg. I would have loved the bread to be toasted a bit more so it could better hold the toppings but it had great flavor. The hash brown casserole was delicious and flavorful and the bacon was perfectly to my request. Also shared a Mimosa pitcher wit my fried. Great value. It's a relaxed, casual family environment. With a moderate noise level depending on the time of day. Will be adding this to my list of go to's. Will definitely be back to try lunch and dinner! read more

It was so good I didn't get to take a picture of our food. We ordered the French toast, and chicken and waffles with a side of fruit and a cranberry mimosa! Absolutely everything was amazing!! I personally prefer my waffle a little harder but the flavoring was so good. I could taste the vanilla and buttermilk. The French toast tasted like a cinnamon roll. It was absolutely amazing! Their fruit cup was perfect large enough for my 2 kids to share and it had a great array of fruit. The mimosa was good, it has a very subtle taste but it was very strong. 1 is enough to start a day. It is a self seating restaurant and you order at the bar it allows service and turn around of tables to move quickly. We will be back before our trip back home! read more
Uber Eats Delivery* Adair kitchen was pretty solid. The chicken salad sandwich was nice, really fresh, just a little bland. The BYO salad, which i customized was good too. Decent size for the price. The lettuce & vegetables were super fresh & tasted great. The negative from that was the sirloin was just a partially cut up burger patty & wasn't warm at all (could've been from the delivery time). I stumbled upon this delightful treat one night while visiting Houston as I was looking for something different to eat and it was fantastic! This low key spot has a large indoor space that has a relaxed feel and great outdoor space for dining outside. I had the salmon and it was absolutely delicious. I will most definitely be back on my next visit to Houston. This place may be a best kept secret, do yourself a favor and check it out! read more
Houston is slowly reopening back up and yesterday was my first time dining out in nearly two months of quarantine. With physical distancing still being very important for me and my friends, we felt comfortable and safe eating at Adair. On my visit during lunchtime, I observed there were a total of five or less tables. Upon entering the waitress said we could sit anywhere with flowers on the table. The other tables had faces of celebrities, and patrons were not allowed to sit at those tables. (See photos) I ordered the Pesto Pita with sweet potato fries (to die for) with a Lemon Asparagus soup. Both were fresh and yummy! The next time I dine out, I will order myself the big, healthy bowl called the Super Foods Bowl! (Also see photos) At the time of closing out, I wish there was contactless pay where you can take a picture of the QR code (our friend was having difficulty using that method of payment) or tap your card to pay. I think they're still working out the kinks though, but the waitress came to our table with a mobile payment device to swipe our cards for payment so that was convenient. With this new normal of physical distancing, it felt great to be out supporting restaurants by eating inside their establishments. And as always, please remember to wash your hands before and after each meal. (No new normal there!) read more
Today my job ordered food from Adair Kitchen. I tried the Roasted Veggie Bowl. It had forbidden red rice, carrot, zucchini, squash, sweet potatoes, red onion, sprouts, sauteed kale, cashew tamari vinaigrette. It was extremely tasty. What i really like about this place is that they have a lot of healthy and gluten free options on the menu. The food is colorful and a nice presentation. My meal got an A+. I will be ordering from them in the future and even visiting the restaurant. read more

Ate at Adair's for the first time and was very pleased. Social distancing is being enforced so if you are worried they are taking precautions! Breakfast was so delicious I forgot to take a picture prior to eating. I had some avocado toast and fresh fruit. We choose the outdoor patio seating to get a little fresh air. The ambience is so nice and chill and the food is great. This will definitely be added to my list of go-to breakfast spots read more
My fiancé and I came for lunch here while we were out and I've always wanted to try this place! Their social distancing protocols inside aren't the best, but thankfully there is outdoor seating (not many tables but good that they have this). Overall the food was pretty good. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was not the best though. The chicken was reminiscent of a regular chicken tender that you eat when you're a kid, but the waffle was really good! The pimento cheese sandwich was falling a part a bit but had good flavor. The soup honestly stole the show for me. The lemon artichoke soup is a must have at this place! It was very flavorful and tasted unique. The cold brew was also yummy and so was their hash brown casserole! This was very fast and easy! Such a nice staff and the food is outstanding!!!!!!!!! They use Toast POS so it was very easy to pay without money trading hands during covid! We love coming to places like this and look forward to coming back! Our ticket for two lunches came out to around $45. I have to tell you its going to be hard trying different places for brunch on the weekends. I love Adair Kitchen. I like to give places a few tries before rating them depending on my experience. And my experience with Adair was really good. Plenty of parking is available as its located in the same lot as Randall's. They do offer ordering online for pick up as well should you choose to have a picnic or just take it home. Plenty of seating inside for big parties or just a table for 2. So I had ordered an omelette with spinach, tomatoes, and mushrooms. Along with a side of fruit and side of bacon (they do the bacon right - crisp quality bacon) and delicious latte. I'll tell you it was so good I put that tongue to good use and licked the plate clean. It will definitely be part of the brunch rotation - I'll have to try out lunch and dinner. Its an experience I look forward to exploring. I would highly recommend them for breakfast and if your a bacon lover get some. #yourwelcome read more

COUNTER SERVICE/SELF-SERVICE Came for breakfast for a friend. You walk in and order at the counter. They give you a number and you find an open table to sit at. We barely missed the breakfast rush. The line out the door by the time we got our food. There is plenty of seating inside but we opted for an outdoor patio spot. It is covered and the weather was nice and not too hot. It can be tricky when it is busy because you were just scouting for tables that are about to leave so that you can snag them. (3/5): FARMERS MARKET SKILLET: The portion was a little small. It was a very healthy breakfast. There were big chunks of red onions. The onions were still a little raw which I'm not a huge fan of. It was good but not mind-blowing or anything. First time visit was impressive! Starting with complementary filtered bottled water to open space ambience, nice music and happy staff Adair Kitchen is must try. We started with bacon wrapped dates stuffed with the blue cheese. It was a bit on a sweeter side but tasty. Turkey meatloaf with red pepper sauce was to die for and so was pecan crusted baked chicken. Dessert was a lime ice box which was equally fantastic. AMAZE-BALLS!!! And what's the dressing they put on this?! Sooooo yummy delicious! Met my girlfriend for a quick lunch and turned into a healthy yet full of flavor bowl. Anytime you pair kale with salmon you can't go wrong. We topped it off with the apple cider vinegar donuts! They have to be healthy right?! Well either way they were so scrumptious that I forgot to take a pic. Heads up...this place gets super crowded at lunch time so get there early if you want a table. I don't believe they take reservations. Please don't have someone hog /hold an empty table - just order at the counter as usual, it works out for everyone that once you've ordered, picked up your drinks, tables spring up. There at least 4 large…

It's limited. 4-6 tables. Most are four seaters.
