I ordered the salmon to go, and overall it was really good! The salmon was well-seasoned, flavorful, and cooked nicely, and I enjoyed it with the rice and sauce. My only regret is that I didn't realize when ordering that the meal didn't come with any vegetables. I definitely would have added a veggie side to make it a little more balanced. Overall, though, the salmon was a solid choice and something I'd order again--just with vegetables next time!
You order and then sit. I had no trouble finding a spot. I ordered a latte, farmer's skillet and pancake (don't judge I like to taste things). The pancake is big and was good. The skillet is very kale heavy. Not like a mix in but the base. The sausage was like a kielbasa sausage not breakfast sausage. I'm sure it said these things and I didn't read closely but not what I was expecting. It was tasty but earthy.
I absolutely love this place!!! I drive a distance, but I don't care, it's so worth it. Everyone is wanting to serve you with excellence. I swear you get spoiled here by every person from the front where you place your order, to the waiter/waitress, to the server bringing out the drink and food, to the bus boy picking up. I highly suggest you eat here. The ambiance is busy with chit chat going around. I am sure there might be music in the back ground. If they had a little brunch live playing group. It would be full. The food is yummy.
We stopped for a light dinner after heading home. My friend loved her salad. I ordered the hummus because I had tried it at another Adair location. But the hummus was topped with mushrooms which I don't like. I had to scrape them off. Mushrooms have no business in hummus. I don't know if they add mushrooms in the Buffalo Speedway location. I didn't see any when my friend shared his hummus with us. The pita bread is delicious. Our waitress was friendly and serviceable. Meal service in the evening is with wait staff, as opposed to breakfast.
I hate to write this review, because the manager Hannah was empathetic, apologetic, and gave me a refund....but I dislike restaurants that advertise one thing on the menu, and then pull a bait and switch on what they think are unsuspecting patrons, by serving something else! This is the second time I've purchase the steak frites to-go at this establishment within a week, and they aren't serving what the menu states! Menu clearly says the cut of steak for the steak fries is ribeye, and this is absolutely NOT RIBEYE. The first time I ordered it last week, I let it slide because it was still tasty and this restaurant is in walking distance from my house so it's convenient...I just figured they ran out of the advertised cut of beef and made a one off substitution. Went in today and ordered the same dish and was served the same cut of beef, which is obviously a flank or skirt steak... definitely not what is being advertised! Called and spoke with the manager and she was apologetic and promptly gave me a refund. I'm only writing this review because it is a poor business practice to advertise one thing and serve something else. Either increase the pricing for what is advertised or change the menu to reflect what you're actually serving....It's just as simple as that! Transparency matters and this is very deceptive. Not sure if I will dine here again.
Had a nice breakfast there this AM. Food was very good and service was quick. I would not recommend over easy eggs (as I got) with the Huevos Rancheros as with the rancheros sauce it makes it very watery, and the tostado won't soak it up. Better get over medium or scrambled eggs.
I ordered the chicken and waffles to-go, and the ordering process itself was smooth. When I arrived, I saw a line and thought, "Okay, this place must be good." Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The server working the to-go checkout was very attentive to the women in front of me, but never acknowledged me once while I waited. When it was finally my turn, I paid, and he immediately tried to move on to the next person without even asking if I needed anything else. I had to stop him and ask for hot sauce before leaving. Once I got to my car and opened my food, I was even more disappointed. There wasn't even butter for the waffles, and nothing about the presentation or order made me excited to come back. The chicken was overcooked, tasted old, and was honestly inedible. It went straight into the trash. Between the poor customer service and the disappointing food, this was a complete waste of money. Food: trash. Service: trash. Experience: trash. I definitely would not recommend this place and will not be returning.
My partner and I, individuals you may describe as unfit, decided we needed to change that status . So, like the intelligent individuals we are, we went and completed F45 on a Saturday - which includes a bonus 15 minutes of exercise. Well, suffice it to say, my partner and I left the class HUNGRY. Enter: Adair Kitchen. Adair had been on my brunch list for a while, so I was thrilled at the chance to try it. The cashier joked along with us about our workout, and was incredibly friendly. I am partial to restaurants with an order-at-the-cashier set up, and Adair's ordering line moves quickly and efficiently. The baked goods looked mouth watering but we ended up not having room in our stomachs to try it. The service was fairly quick, and the aura of the restaurant is great - casual, but nice decor, sit where you like. The food was delicious. We got the huevos rancheros and the avocado toast. I do wish the huevos came with a second tortilla shell, but the hash browns were delicious. The avocado toast was a solid dish, though I wasn't floored. A great eating experience and definitely a place to visit again in the future!
One of my favorite places to "Lunch". A favorite of many in the Tanglewood/Galleria area it serves Salads, Soups, Burgers, Plates. Serving Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner with Classic American dishes. Check out the Chicken Harvest Salad and Roasted Beet Salad. Two signature bowls. Large dining room area with a mix of tables and booths. Plenty of parking makes it easy to meet with your lunch buddies. Too many good dishes to list....
Our 1st time here and the place was packed for lunch. Service was OK. Food wise on my own opinion wasn't impressive. Wonder why it's so packed. I had the potato soup and it was super salty couldn't eat it. The burger was just OK, I surely had better burger elsewhere. The ambiance by the bar is nice.
AMAZE-BALLS!!! And what's the dressing they put on this?! Sooooo yummy delicious! Met my girlfriend for a quick lunch and turned into a healthy yet full of flavor bowl. Anytime you pair kale with salmon you can't go wrong. We topped it off with the apple cider vinegar donuts! They have to be healthy right?! Well either way they were so scrumptious that I forgot to take a pic. Heads up...this place gets super crowded at lunch time so get there early if you want a table. We sat outside on the patio b/c it was a nice day out. read more

I swear Adair Kitchen is a 100% knock off of Corner Bakery Cafe. Heck, even the font of the signage and font are similar. The few meals I've had at CBC have been good; so I'm not really dragging either restaurant under the bus. Adair was a short drive from our hotel; simple order at the counter process just like...well, you know. Wife hated the coffee; never seen her drink so little coffee in 10 years of marriage. Drink station even had mint for my iced tea which was a nice touch. Expeditor who delivered our food brought back ranchero sauce ala salsa back to the table in a timely manner. By the time our food arrived to the table there was a line out the door. I had the daily scramble for $8. You get the requisite scrambled eggs plus two add ins from the "mix-in list" along with your choice of side. My mix items were goat cheese and proscuitto with excellent results. I'm not a huge black bean fan so I chose hash browns that were remarkably similar to Cracker Barrel. Somehow I got some toast too! Wife had the croissant sandwich with egg, cheddar, field greens, tomatoes, and avocado which she added. So, similarities aside to the national chains the dishes at Adair are a win for the price point. Except for the coffee which my wife still want's me to give them crap about. We walked out fat and happy; ready to tackle another day on our visit to Houston. read more

Not sure the issue really. But there is... Started frequenting Adair two years ago upon moving to Houston for the delicious prime burger. Well seasoned and delicious bun and delicious shoe strip Parmesan fries . Unfortunately of the last three visits they had struggled. 1st to get my burger cooked medium or 2nd forgot my addition of bacon and cheddar cheese on a to go order (as well as cooking it medium) and 3rd on getting a refund on order number 2 I thought I would come in and sit but still received a medium well/ well burger. I did not send it back but question the inconsistency. Overall everything I've had at Adair has been delicious from the burger, turkey meatloaf. But for some reason of late the struggle is real. One recommendation would be ordering to sit down as their very busy uBEr eats business may add confusion to your order? Overall when cooked to order Adair has great food and service. I will be back with * asterisks * in my head! read more

Hi there - We are very sorry to see that this was your experience at…
I ordered Adair Kitchen via UberEats today. Normally I don't like reviewing places unless I am physically there but this one warranted writing a review. We ordered three orders of the blackened shrimp and goat cheese salad. Overall, the food tasted fine. The shrimp was cooked with a glistening glaze and had a nice flavor profile. The red peppers when mixed with the spinach (lots of spinach) in the balsamic vinaigrette tasted delicious. My experience turned sort of negative when I saw what my coworkers had received. However, all three of us had varying quantities of shrimp in our salad. Here is the breakdown: Salad #1: 6 shrimp Salad #2: 5 shrimp Salad #3: 4 shrimp I am kind of curious/kind of glad that there was/was not salads #4, 5, 6 because at this negative linear rate the last person would have only received 1 shrimp. When the quadratic formula fails, I guess just plug in the kitchen staff from Adair Kitchen. There will be plenty of +/- solutions available. One of my biggest pet peeves at restaurants is the inconsistency of food being served. Anyone who knows me knows that I firmly believe in the philosophy of no bad carbs. That was the case until I had the bread/crouton/cardboard of a monstrosity I received with my salad today. I just went to my dentist this past week and now I am thinking I probably need to go get another assessment on my teeth after eating this bread. It was so hard that I only took one bite out of it before my body had a visceral reaction where I got up and hurled the piece of bread into the trashcan. I would like to think that this was a mishap on the kitchen's part as it was an UberEats order and they were probably rushed to prepare it. I would really like to go back and give this place another chance so that these sort of problems can easily be addressed with a manager. But after this experience, UberEats is a definite no. read more

*Dine In Experience I was introduced to Adair Kitchen about 4 years ago when my friends and I wanted a quick bite before a concert, but didn't want to spend too much or be in a hole in the wall. As the foodie I am I pulled out my yelp and got to searching. I came across Adair Kitchen a cute out of the way spot by the Galleria area in Houston. We agreed to stop in as they close at 9pm which was perfect because we had somewhere to be! I remember our experience being OK, nothing more nothing less.We hated the Mac & Cheese, Chicken Tenders was flavorless, Waffle was dry, but drinks and fries were BOMB!! Lol NOW FAST FORWARD!!! ( I'm a writer, just stick with me I had to give a backstory) A few years had passed since stopping in and I was invited by a friend who had no clue I had been here before and didn't really care for it. However as a true foodie I like to give places the benefit of the doubt at least once. The chef could have been having a bad day or maybe replaced so my experience could possibly be different. So with a few reservations I met my friend at this location and prayed for the best. Family I ordered the Pancakes, turkey bacon, side of fries because they don't have roasted potatoes and cocktail. My friend ordered the Chicken & Waffle & some kinda fresh juice. I enjoyed every bit of my meal, my friend on the other hand not so much. I know what you're thinking why didn't say anything, well guys it's been years I didn't think it would still kinda suck lol my bad! It was in that moment when I realized this isn't a bad place, their Chicken and Waffle is just trash. Also, if you stop in make sure to try a cup of cafe, OMG I just love a cup of Caramel Latte from here! I come in all the time now! Let's Talk Staff?!.... Today I walked in ( 7/5/21) and the vibes were weird from two males at the bar that are usually cool, but I'm just whatever. Anyways thus far I've had a good experience with the staff! Foaud is like one of my favorites because he greeted me with so much kindness even when I had a thousand and one questions about the menu. Baby B (Bianca) had me smiling and I love her eye lashes. Nick (Coolest Coffee Maker) he was polite and made me feel like I could have what I want, just like a lady lol! Esau, he was so nice and listened to my story time about his name, thank you! Lucia my PM barLADY she is so pleasant and she makes me feel comfortable to stick around and work.... THANK YA'LL SO KINDLY! + I Gave a 3 Rating because today's experience didn't validate my other experience, it's my current mood. Otherwise they are 4 Stars! I would recommend stopping in and trying them out! Overall my stars are accurate...Until Next Time, xo Dollface! read more

Came here for a late breakfast with my wife. It's one of a row of shops, with a few tables out front, which we loved since it's a wonderful day for breakfast on the patio. The choices for breakfast are varied and interesting. I chose the huevos rancheros, my wife the breakfast taco. We poured coffee and sat outside, and it seemed like our plates came in just a couple of minutes. The combination of crispy tostada, eggs, and sauce was just right for taste and texture. Along with it were hash browns and black beans, both of which were fabulous. I'm not ashamed to admit I was scraping the bowl of black beans to get as much as possible. My wife was surprised by the generous portion of egg in her taco. I'm not sure what else was in it, but she finished it quickly. We were able to enjoy our coffee and relax a bit before heading off to a farmers market, and we left wondering about when we might return to try more delights at Adair. read more
Adair Kitchen is a super cute establishment on the end of a shopping strip, nestled in the corner of Uptown near West Oaks. Depending on the rush inside, you either place your order at the counter or are seated by the host(ess) and a waiter will come by to take your order. The servers are nice do a great job of checking in to ensure your the water in your glass and in your carafe is filled. We started our meal with the Texas Trio. Large pile of tortilla chips, chunky guac, meatless queso, and a warm tomato salsa. That salsa was great! Not much heat, but great balance of acid and sweet. I appreciated that the chips were already salted and 10/10 recommend doing a mix and match with the dips. Do all three, or dip that guac-y chip in the queso. Slather the chips with queso and dunk it in the tomato salsa. You cannot eat it wrong. TBH: I mixed all three and ate it sans chips #shameless For my entree, I ordered the Grilled Ahi Tuna Salad from the seasonal menu because how can you turn down a good Ahi tuna? I did replace the champagne vinaigrette with a balsamic vinaigrette at no extra charge. However, as soon as the plate landed at our table, disappointment set in. Ahi tuna is a delicate piece of fish that has to be treated with some serious respect. If it isn't being served raw in a tartar, than it only needs a quick sear on either side and it was clear my protein received more than a quick heating. Ahi tuna becomes hard as it cooks, which is why I actually prefer it rare. Perhaps I should have asked the waiter at what temperature the fish is cooked to and then made my preferences clear; however, I also was not asked. The rest of the plate was pretty good with Bibb let's and mixed greens, fresh mangoes roasted red bell peppers, and just the right amount of toasted, slivered almonds. To the side was a squirt of avocado puree- and that's exactly what it was. A puree. Very interesting texture and tasted strictly like avocado. Do not save it for the end, eat it with the salad. Overall, I was underwhelmed by the experience. My friends also felt the same regarding their orders. Perhaps we will be back in a different season or to try another one of their small bites. read more

Food is great but the takeout service is repeatedly bad. Went for lunch today and ordered a sandwich. Selected fries as the side. The cashier specifically asked me about that. Waited for my sandwich. I really was not sure what to expect out of the AK because one, the yelp reviews are a bit all over the place, and two, I really was not sure in what context I was being summoned here which does tend to affect the mood in more ways than one. Regarding the former: Friend Kellie trashed the place with a one-ny. Friend Ako hit them with a two-fer. And Friend Gino rounded out the trio as the most optimistic, sticking them with a stiff three-bie. But other people rated them higher - at time of writing there are 266 reviews with an average rating of foursies. So they must have something going for them. Regarding the latter: this could have been anything from a friendship hangout, to a romantic date-date, to a business-guy meeting where I am supposed to get muh network on as a big man about town, to a potential new client initial consultation so long as it was the very general business planning sort of conversation that can be had in public rather than fielding specific fact-based questions about the various criminal laws as applied to an "alleged" criminal enterprise. But I can only handle so much uncertainty and I have far too active of an imagination when someone is nice to me, because it doesn't happen very often. Let's just say I put on a pair of pants for this rendezvous to cover all of the bases, even though the yelp page says the attire is 'casual' at this joint. A good lawyer isn't supposed to be casual if that's what this was; and a good romantic partner needs to demonstrate he owns somethin' other than /comfy/ basketball shorts and a lager-stained wifebeater shirt that looks like it was featured in an episode of COPS on the teevee set as recently as this morning. So we're set for most eventualities. AK is in the same Bad Randalls strip mall on the edge of San Felipe @ Sage as Ciao Bello which I get summoned to relatively frequently by one client, as if I am Crowley f/k/a Fergus Roderick MacLeod and the CB is the crossroads. Hello boys. Even though it is a large lot, there are a lot of popular places in the strip mall (and it's off San Felipe, land of all the traffic in the West) so securing parking for the Dragon can be a bit bothersome at times. Of course when there is little parking, that means a lot of people. At AK you order at the counter so expect a line, the same as you would at the Local Foods where when the line is at the door or out the door it is not worth going to at that point because of the wait time, not just because they turfed every single good beer they used to carry on draft like all of the Karbach. Ermahgerd, no kerberks? Not going back if I am paying. The scene is very much a similar replica of the Local Foods. It's a hipstery kind of semi-upscale joint, but with cutesy enough decor it's not imposing and/or cost prohibitive. You order at the counter. You go find a table. You plant your flag with the order number on a table. You get your water from the fountain area on the back wall if you so desire. You wait for your stuff to be brought to you. My dining companion mirrored my order of a latte, since it was too late in the morn for bfast and not quite the gentlesir's three martini lunching hour. $8.55 and a mixtape gets you two lattes here. They have a small patio outside for when it simmers down a bit. I think the patio would be more desirable for the noise level, even with the beggars in the parking lot, and the cars whooshing by. It was quite loud inside and there were still a few empty tables. I can't imagine how loud and unkind for casual convo this joint is on full blast. This is the first strike against them, it is just quite loud. It's hardly romantic to be shouting at someone, unless that's what floats your boat in a scary 50 shades of grey way. In which case, spend more time at church. The second main strike against them is going to come at the latte. I had read in many of the quicktips and reviews that things don't tend to come out of the kitchen "piping hot" or "warm" and sister, my latte was no different. I prefer a not-scaldy temp bev when I need to carry the thing from the bar area to the seat through a bunch of Mac power cords and hipster beard hair flying every which way, like I need to at the Blacksmith which is probs my fave for coffee in this town. However, here they bring it out to your table, so I want that thing McDonalds coffee tort suit hot. I want this thing to be as on fire as my mixtape over on the soundcloud, fam. The latte was nearly room temp, and otherwise unremarkable as far as a $4 cuppa something will take you in this life. However there's a certain amount of upcharge to live with for a place like this in this neighborhood. As Sonia addressed, there are not a ton of options in this area like we have back in my neighborhood with the Blacksmith and then the other things that are not the Blacksmith. Three stars for the AK because they have room for improvement in the latte game; and it is quite loud inside. Do better. read more

Besides the long line to order your food, the set up is pretty decent. The good came out quickly. There's a good flavor here, but typical. I ordered the Tequila Mockingbird Cocktail.. it's strong, but tastes like a green heAlth juice with tequila in it, so I didn't really care for that. Other than that, I'd give it 4 stars. I'd recommend it. You'd have to wait but it's not super long either. read more
I came by for dinner last Friday night for the first time, and am so glad I did. The restaurant was busy that night but table waits were less than 5 minutes. It has both indoor and some outdoor seating. I ordered the pesto salmon entree that came with asparagus and rice. I added a mixed green salad to the meal which came out first. I liked the salad and rated it at a 4. It was a decent sized salad for a side salad and had good content. The entree followed about 10-15 minutes. It was very good with a nice grilled flavor to the fish with the veggie and rice tasting good too. I also liked the pesto sauce on the salmon. It was a very good meal and a healthy one too. Table service was prompt and professional with my drink glass never getting more than half empty. I like the interior decor of this restaurant. It has an open and airy feel to it with the large front windows. I thought the prices were reasonable especially since this is a Galkeria area restaurant. I would be happy to come back. read more
I loved the atmosphere of this place when I initially walked in, however, much to my chagrin I quickly realized that the seating was cafeteria style.. I wasn't a big fan of this seating - the first come first "seat" bases.. couples and individuals walking around and hovering over others to grab a seat as soon as a table becomes available! Much like music chairs lol. Again, this is just my opinion! Now for the food; I ended up going with an egg white omelette with spinach, bell pepper and sausage - this was solid for sure! I partnered it with a bowl of oats and berries and it tasted more like a bowl of milk and oats; definitely not my favorite. Overall this place was okay.. check it out if you like. read more

Really enjoyed our experience during lunch at Adair Kitchen. Very nice atmosphere. Love the decor. Everything we ordered was brought to our table hot and cooked perfectly as ordered. We arrived before the brunch rush and food came out very quickly. We were a little rushed by the cashier in the beginning but that could have just been his dynamic! Very kind employees and great mimosas. Will definitely be returning. Omelet - Cooked perfectly, filled generously with everything requested. Great strawberry preserves. Fruit bowl was ok. Farmers skillet - Eggs cooked as requested. Perfect combo with the sweet potatoes and sausage. Pancake - Skinny whole wheat pancake, SOOOO fluffy & good. LOVED the butter. read more
