When we walked in we were told to sit anywhere which is fine, so we picked a table. The waiter was friendly, told us the way around the menu and advised us on wine/drink options. We are not drinkers so we ordered Diet cokes. The waiter came back around and was ready for our order, but we hadn't made a choice so we asked for a few more minutes. This is where it starts getting strange. We were chitchatting when the owner passed by our table and said something along the lines of "the table is empty", and she rushed off. A few fingers were pointed our way from the bar making us feel pretty uncomfortable. Then a random lady walked by and asked if we had seen our waiter. We told her we asked him for a few more minutes to look over the menu, she walked away. The owners were at the bar and the lady went back to them. Much more obvious finger pointing our direction... The female owner walked up to the table and asked if we were going to be eating, and we told her yes but we had asked for more time. We went ahead and placed our very simple order with her. A Cobb salad for me and a Caesar for my sister. Our waiter stopped back by the table and apologized, he had stepped out to take a phone call. He was given very bad news on the call and we told him to take his time with us, we were in no hurry. Many more glares from the bar and fingers being pointed our way... Then the food was brought out. My sisters salad was a very basic caesar, mine had a few more toppings including chicken. The chicken on mine was horrendous, it tasted like a frozen breast popped in the microwave the day before and left out over night. It was so bad I spit it into my napkin. I pushed the chicken to the side and ate the lettuce and few toppings. We got our ticket, paid and left. I don't think we will be returning. I sure hope that waiter still has a job. The staff seemed to be on his butt. When he would walk around and move a chair, someone would walk behind him and "fix" it. We came in before the dinner rush so I was able to enjoy and explore the place. They even have board games and arcade pacman and our favourite mini hand held Tetris and Space Invaders. Now the food! Not a lot on the menu but everything is good. I had the shroom burger and I loved it. It was so good I finished that burger, which I have a hard time eating anything up. This has nothing to do with the food, as we never got that far in the course of my miserable experience at this location (not sure if it's a chain or not). Walked into a relatively quiet restaurant somewhat later in the evening after strolling a bit in the summer Houston heat around the Woodlands. A couple of people recommended Postino. The issue arose when I asked for a possible menu modification. Specifically, I was trying to avoid GOAT CHEESE on the meatball dish I had my eyes on (which otherwise looked pretty tempting). The server indicated that they probably couldn't do it but I nevertheless requested this... a couple of minutes later the server returned with the bad news. Apparently, it simply had to be served as-is, according to the menu. This in itself wouldn't have got me to the point of writing this review. However, I, incredulous, was kind of laughing (you have to laugh) and said something like "so I can only order exactly what's on the menu, and the kitchen can't do anything different?" (slight paraphrasing, perhaps). There wasn't much further conversation with the server but within about 30 seconds of this exchange, a "manager" stormed over to the table and borderline-abusively shouted "is there a problem?!". This "mini-manager" as I will refer to her, proceeded to inform me that they could NOT accommodate changes because it would "violate the integrity of the restaurant" ... I of course I also found a bit humorous, and in this state inquired further about what sense it made to be so obnoxiously strict for someone just trying to grab a quick bite about 30 minutes before closing. I'm sensitive to the work involved in running restaurants and serving obnoxious customers, but I was NOT rude, obnoxious, or difficult. Just blown away by this treatment. I was then informed by the mini-manager that she was from LONDON which I assume meant I should accept that her cosmopolitan background and (I assume vast and high-level culinary experience) meant that I should shut my trap and stop being so picky. At this point I was compelled to mention that I, too, grew up overseas and was very surprised at this complete lack of flexibility. Within another 30 seconds or so of this dialogue, the mini-manager tipped the menu over on the table and abruptly shouted, "you know what, I'm refusing you service!" That made it all easy from there as we promptly (while laughing, partly out of shock) exited the facility. Huge disappointment and embarrassing in my view for a restaurant that seems otherwise to have maintained a great reputation - and especially so for the fact that service (and people in general) in Houston tend to be kind and accommodating, not typically RUDE or reactionary. I'm encouraging this restaurant to have a look at the service model. I can't say I'll try Postino again the next time I'm in Houston, but I certainly hope it continues to truly earn its 4.5 star rating, 'cause they sure did NOT when I was there this weekend.

We have been going to Molly's pretty much weekly for about eight years. We've celebrated multiple…read morebirthday parties, going away parties etc there as it's our good to place. The majority of the staff are incredibly nice but there are definitely a few who are very abrupt/do not have very good customer service unless they know you/you are their friend. Even though we have been going there for so many years, and all the staff members know us not all of them are very polite. Jeff (the owner or manager) is incredible. He's always made our experiences there great. So have Misha, Kelly, Chris and Sibley. They are plenty of pool tables, a foosball table, electric darts upfront, regular darts in the back, shuffleboard and a ping-pong table. Every Tuesday night they have trivia. Every Wednesday night they have bingo. As die the pub food, we love it. We normally get one is their sandwich or nachos. There is a decent variety to choose from and all the food is good. Now that we've moved a wage in Nebraska every time we come back to Texas to visit family we make sure and stop by Molly's at least once or twice while we're in town.

Stumbled into Notes Wine and Music the other day to take a break from shopping and get my daughter…read morea glass of wine. Notes is a cute little wine bar/tasting room that also seems to host live music in the later afternoon or evenings as they have a little stage, seating and some instruments laying around. We had a few glasses of some delicious and refreshing wine as we chatted with the attentive and lovely young lady who was there.
