We have been going to Molly's pretty much weekly for about eight years. We've celebrated multiple birthday parties, going away parties etc there as it's our good to place. The majority of the staff are incredibly nice but there are definitely a few who are very abrupt/do not have very good customer service unless they know you/you are their friend. Even though we have been going there for so many years, and all the staff members know us not all of them are very polite. Jeff (the owner or manager) is incredible. He's always made our experiences there great. So have Misha, Kelly, Chris and Sibley. They are plenty of pool tables, a foosball table, electric darts upfront, regular darts in the back, shuffleboard and a ping-pong table. Every Tuesday night they have trivia. Every Wednesday night they have bingo. As die the pub food, we love it. We normally get one is their sandwich or nachos. There is a decent variety to choose from and all the food is good. Now that we've moved a wage in Nebraska every time we come back to Texas to visit family we make sure and stop by Molly's at least once or twice while we're in town. read more

Except for one guy, the bartenders and wait staff are far less than friendly. One girl, who I was told hadn't been there long about 3 weeks ago or a little more, intentionally pass me at the bar and went to the next guy. He pointed her back in my direction because he saw me standing there well before he walked up right next to me....as she did also. Burger patties are tiny. Waitresses skip over my black ass and ask everyone else around if they can get them a drink....like the bartenders. It just has a " get your black ass outta here" kind of aura. I want to co-sign everything Curtis S. shared in his review. What happened to him and his friends at Molly's Pub is deeply disturbing and completely unacceptable. Discrimination based on race or ethnicity should never be normalized or tolerated--yet, based on Curtis's experience, that seems to be exactly what's happening here. Selectively asking for identification from Black and Latino patrons while allowing white patrons to enter unchecked is not just unfair--it's textbook racial profiling. The fact that this happened more than once, involving different staff members, speaks volumes about the culture of this establishment. Add to that the aggressive behavior from the waitress and the demeaning way she discussed paying customers with her coworkers, and it's clear that this place fosters an unsafe, unwelcoming, and racially biased environment. Let me start by saying I do not frequent this place but every time I've been here I've had fun. That being said, it is a pretty shitty bar. All Molly's pubs are that way. That's fine. The staff was in the Christmas spirit if you worked for the grinch. This Christmas tree and our nice elf waitress kept the cheer high while we drank cookie shots and played darts. Let me start by saying the place has great potential. I've visited twice - first time with my black friend and I was permitted to enter - he was not. They didn't like his identification was the story. Last night - I went with 3 friends, one was latino, one black and two whites... I wasn't required to show identification nor the other white girl but they stopped the Latino and black guy had made them show identification. While we were inside standing at the bar we were aggressively approached by their white blonde waitress who is long overdue for termination - and was very bothered by where we, the customers were standing. We moved so the Princess could do whatever she needed to do - and resumed our conversation. Princess then goes off to obviously began dialogue with her other colleagues about us as well as other customers. After we recognized what was going on, we felt in danger and we made our exit! I seriously would change every bar tender and every management person out of that establishment and create a new vibe - one that is inviting and welcoming to everyone not just white privileged people. I would not recommend spending a dime in this horrible place! read more

I just wanna start by saying that any bad review you see about this bar is either false, described way over dramatically from what actually happened, or didn't actually happen at all. I've been coming here for years and know the entire staff very well. They are easily the nicest staff of any bar in the area until you give them a reason not to be. Alcohol prices are great, food is what you'd expect from any of your average Irish pub style bars but specifically the sandwiches are top tier. Not sure what people mean by saying it smells like smoke inside the bar, never had that issue. Also they offer pool, darts, shuffleboard, ping pong, buck hunter, and golden tee for games to play if that's your thing. Quaint little pub right off the side of 494 offered a great selection of beers and pretty good bar food. With little experience of pubs, I was ecstatic to get pints of Guinness that were consistently up to par with how they should be. Their bar food was pretty good, having some of their pizza, mozzarella sticks, and more. Our servers were excellent and constantly making their rounds while we ordered our rounds! Never been treated this badly from a bartender! Came in alone on a slow night and found a seat at the bar between a man and a woman. Awkward already just going to the bar alone, I look up and the bartender is staring in my face, I ask him for his drink recommendation and I was shocked by his response..."I don't know what you like" Ok that was hella uncomfortable, so I reword it, "can you recommend a drink that you like to make"? Again..."I don't know what you like". By now the energy surrounding me is drawing in attention and I'm so uncomfortable I want to leave as fast as I can! But, the woman sitting next to me steps in and tells the bartender to get me a modelo on her and from that point on she took me under her wing. That bartender never did change his poor attitude. A bad bartender is a real turn off...we left shortly after that and went to Montana's. I'll probably return in a couple years and see how much different it may be. I went in late afternoon during the week. Only a few people there. Bonnie the bartender was a doll. I had wine and the nachos with jalapeño. I wish they came out hotter and with more cheese but that's ok. The place is huge. Very dark. Very clean. They have pool tables and a huge outside area. The patrons were very friendly as well ! I also wish they had some music playing as it was pretty quiet but again nice place. I'm going to try their Monday night bingo next week ! read more

I walked in and the bartender had a few people at the bar and one table. When the bartender finally acknowledged me he asked how I was to which I replied I was starving and asked how the burger was, he grumbled something I couldn't understand. He did not ask what I wanted to drink but I told him I would really love a cup of coffee did he have any. He said it would take a really long time and I said I didn't mind waiting. He then turned his back to me, threw his notepad and his pen down and grumbled something else and huffed and puffed up like a toad. I left. I'm going to start this review by acknowledging that we may have just encountered the worst possible bartender on a really bad night. My friends and I live in Houston, Stafford and Sugar Land. We went to Kingwood for a wedding which ended a little early. A number of us were staying in hotels in Kingwood, expecting a fun, long night and decided to go to Molly's to continue our little soiree. Boy. Was that a mistake. I'll begin by giving credit to the gentleman at the door. He checked our ids and was actually quite pleasant. He did not give us any kind of sass or lip or trouble. We approached the bar to get a round of drinks, to which a very surly bartender refused to give us service. I know what you're thinking. We were a bunch of drunk hooligans and you agree with the bartender - it's bad to continue giving alcohol to the already-drunk. Yet, I ask that you continue to read. We arrived at this establishment around 11:30pm. Most of us were not driving. Most of us had last had a drink at about 9:00pm, shortly before the bar at the wedding was closed. The bartender was refusing to give drinks to a group of roughly 10 people because "one of you looks like he's had too much". While I agree that you shouldn't give alcohol to that one individual (who wasn't even drunk, I still can't figure out this judgment call), you should not deny service to about 9 paying customers. We tried to talk to him about this, but he wouldn't back down. It's worth noting that other bartenders disagreed with him, but apparently since he made that call, none of them could change it. We ended up going elsewhere - and happily. The place didn't look that great anyway. read more

Molly's is the quintessential dive bar. It's also not quite my scene. Don't get me wrong--I've been to my share of dive bars (hello--I lived in Queens!) Sure, the beer selection isn't bad, there's pool and air hockey, and you'll get some interesting stories if you can get one of the gruff regulars to chat with you, but ugh...the place just reeks. Honestly, it smells like feet. When I go, I almost always have to park myself outside on the narrow patio just to escape the smell. While you may think a patio would offer some aesthetic sensibility, in this case, you get the side of a red brick building. Lovely. And don't even think about ordering food. It's all greasy and if you're lucky, you'll walk away with only a mild case of acid reflux. Moreover, the service is rather spotty if you do go outside. We only saw our server twice the entire two hours we were there last. Molly's certainly shows that there's a gruffer side to Kingwood's usually polished, uppercrust exterior. And if you can tolerate the smell, then it's a great place to catch a game. But as far as dive bars go, this place is just a dumpster. read more

Molly's is practically in my new backyard since relocating, and it's nice to have a bar with a number of good beers on tap is so close. The only drawback is the bar is situated in Mongomery County which is dry, so you must have your license scanned and sign a "membership" receipt in order to drink in the bar. Once that's done, then it's free game! I also appreciate that Molly's is smoke free, big and has pool tables. Most of the bars in the Humble area still allow smoking, so a clean air bar is perfect for me! I've been told the food is dismal, so I've never ordered anything, but the beer is cold and that suites me just fine! read more

Hubby and I went on a Saturday night, around 11pm, and there was a bit of a crowd. We sat at the bar, but it still took the bartender several minutes to notice us. We ordered margaritas, which were a little too tart for me. Our fellow patrons were very engaging and chatty. There was one guy who maybe shouldn't have been served anymore, but at least I convinced him to leave the waitress a bigger tip. We were just looking for a decent place to have a drink without being bothered or having a fight break out. We're people watchers so that was fun, too. We have been going to Molly's on Sundays to watch football. The service is fast, friendly and everyone in the bar is friendly as well. It is a nice place to sit, relax and drink some beer. It may not be someone you would like to see, but that's besides the point. It still reeks of cigarette smoke despite the fact that you have not been able to smoke indoors for a while now, the draft beer selection can be described as inadequate, and there is the possibility of seeing a classy Montgomery County citizen with false breasts the size volleyballs if you time it correctly. I used to visit this Molly's location weekly to get my beer & trivia/Texas Hold 'em fix when I lived in the area but the last time I came here I was severely disappointed. My mom, brother, his girlfriend, and I came here after dinner recently to celebrate the gf's 22nd birthday. We had some drinks at dinner and felt like playing some darts and having a few more. The place just felt old and dirty. The old and dirty feeling was further felt when my mom ordered a ZiegenBock draught that tasted exactly like mold. Mold beer wasn't really what we were feelin' so we all switched to bottled beer to avoid anymore run-ins with old moldy kegs and taps. I gave my bartender my DL in exchange for darts. She gave us two sets but one set was broken and they didn't have any more. She said that we could switch them out when someone else turned their darts in but since we didn't see anyone else in the whole bar playing darts, we didn't get our hopes up. Instead we used the one set for both teams. The bartenders weren't stellar and there was zero table service. That along with the moldy beer and broken darts makes for a pretty crappy night. We went to Mollys and were very happy with the service from the bar tender, and later the waitress. The menu is short but we found everything we needed for our fussy keto diet. They have lots of beer on tap ! We watched the NFL playoffs on one of many TV's that would be great for any sporting event. Loads of games in the back - pool tables, darts, shuffle board - and the rest rooms are very clean !!! (A tidy loo this is a deal maker for my lovely lady, so we will be back) read more
