The Brass Tap is a hidden gem in Kingwood, tucked away at the end of a shopping center parking lot. The patio overlooks a creek area, making it a really nice spot to sit outside when the weather permits. They have a decent food and drink menu, a nice atmosphere, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. Oh, and I must add they have a small humidor area and sell cigars, which is a nice bonus for cigar lovers. Definitely a little hidden gem worth checking out! read more

Very new and clean- nice patio, which will be nice when it's not 1,000,000° in the summer. Our server was great and everything that everyone ordered was delicious. Definitely get the pretzel! read more

I ordered a steak Caesar salad with EXTRA steak through UberEats. I paid for express delivery so my order would come directly to me. The hot steak was placed inside the container with the salad causing the salad to completely wilt, the cheese to congeal and the croutons were wet from the condensation. To add insult to injury- there was about 9-10 tiny overcooked pieces of steak. UberEATS wouldn't make it right and the restaurant was unhelpful too. read more

I love this little place. I met the owners last year. Both very nice people .Their son runs it. Fantastic liquor selection, and occasional entertainment. It's gonna be a great place to hang out on the outdoor patio when the temperatures get cooler. read more

Kingwood needed a better sports bar. This is it!! It's not dark and dirty with a parking lot for a patio. No sir the patio here overlooks a green space and has plenty of TVs. Brass tap offers a large selection of draft beer and a creative cocktail menu. So far I have only tried the wings and they were great. I can't wait until next time to try the burger. The service was friendly and prompt. I bet this place is a tun of fun on a game night. read more

My husband and I came in for dinner a few weeks ago since we've been wanting to try Brass Tap. If you like beers, this place is for you. If you have a gluten intolerance, I wouldn't really advise coming in. Though we had a great experience and pleasant server (who did his best to find items on the menu that accommodate to gluten free), there are very limited options - unless you want a salad. I had the grilled shrimp and risked cross-contamination with the fries being in a shared fryer. No gluten-free buns are offered, which is really disappointing. I also only had about 6 shrimp on my plate, which isn't much protein for the price. There also aren't many appetizers that are GF. This is why I'm leaving a four-star review. My husband will definitely be back for guys night. He said his burger was really good, and he enjoyed his beer. I know they have live music some, so we came early to avoid the crowd. There were a handful of people in, but as we were leaving, they were getting busy. read more

The food (steak nachos) and my White Wine Sangria were delicious! They have great outdoor seating, but the smell outside was unbearable. Maybe it was just an issue that particular day. We did have to wait a little longer than expected to order/receive drinks. Our server didn't have that many tables, but she was super sweet. read more

The Brass Tap - Steak Nachos, easily shared with 3 people. SO GOOD!! - Beer Bar Near Me - Kingwood, Texas

We ordered the Asian Chicken Sandwich and the Brisket Tacos. My sandwich was delicious and I would order it again tomorrow. My wife's brisket was overcooked and hard so her experience was a little different. The restaurant has a cool vibe that makes you want to sit and stay to watch the multiple games that were playing. They also have a really nice outdoor area. The drink list was great and had many offerings and they also have a few mega drinks that are shareable versions of popular drinks! The service was friendly and helpful with recommendations. Bathrooms were clean, drinks were great, and the food was good. What more can you ask for?!? read more

Overall great experience, have had one issue with a server on a slow day. She was too busy flirting instead of working and got upset when I transferred the tab to the bar. Best time to easily grab a table is during lunch, happy hour to close and the weekends are very busy. Standard upscale bar food, love the fish and chips and burgers. The whiskey/bourbon selection will do and they make a consistent smoked old fashioned. If a sangria drinker, pass as it's just bottled wine and they throw some fresh fruit and ice in it. read more

Bartender Dee was so great And so attentive. I ordered a side grilled chicken and avocado.

We came in a few weeks ago and drank. The drinks are fine but we liked the atmosphere and decided it would be a good place to bring the kids. We don't live in the area and we took the 30 minute drive in and I'm really sorry we did. It's a rainy Sunday afternoon and the service was slow especially with not that many people in the restaurant. When we got our food it tasted reheated and prepackaged. My wife steak tacos where she could on,y taste the queso, I got fried shrimp and the breading had no flavor. read more

Sunday lunch had one waitress trying to manage all the tables. Took 30 minutes to get our sodas. Food came out in spurts but tasted fine. They weren't super busy but it was too much for one person. Took over 20 minutes to pay and leave. Will stick to coming in for drinks every now and then. read more

absolutely atrocious service. Sunday, 5pm. not many people. we sat outside. waited at least 20 minutes after I went in a flagged down a waiter, for someone to show up and ask if wanted a drink. ordered iced tea. table was a mess and wasn't wiped down. waited another 20 minutes. no iced tea and no sign that anything was going to show up. went inside and wait staff was meandering around aimlessly with about three tables occupied. DONT TRY THIS PLACE! read more

I've been here a handful of times...I'll probably look elsewhere in the future. The food isn't great, especially the chicken. The chicken used in their tacos and salads ...well it's kind of like chewing on rubber bands. And the beer on tap tastes like they need to clean their beer tap lines. The service is always slow. Today for example, I had to go to the bar to get my check. My server was no where to be found for 20 minutes. read more

Yummy food. Great service! Dog friendly patio! Belgian beer was a perfect antidote to the summer heat!

Great! The house side salad was super fresh. A delicious combination of mixed greens topped with cheddar jack cheese, crispy bacon, diced tomato, and red onion rings. The house dressing is a tasty sweet vinaigrette. The BBQ Chicken and Bacon Pizza was the BEST! Crunchy crust topped with a tangy barbecue sauce, cheddar jack cheese, chunks of moist white chicken breast, crispy bacon, red onion and fresh cilantro. Large enough to feed two. Great service. The weekly drink was a bit sweet for my taste, but the bartender had no problem adjusting for me. Can't wait to try more of their menu. read more

My wife and I ate lunch here with a group of Kingwood retirees. Overall we all enjoyed our lunch, several of us ordered a beer from the extensive line of taps behind the bar. Very nice overall and our server was good. The food did seem to come out in small batches but to be honest our group of 12 took a while to place our orders. read more

Love this place. We go for trivia, singo bingo, all the things. Food is elevated bar food. Keto options. We love the huge beer selection

Seriously didn't think I'd be a regular at a bar but here I am! Good food. Good drinks. Good people! It's a cool vibe. Ask for Donis if she's there. She'll make sure your drinks are proper. read more

Kingwood's Hidden Gem.. The Brass Tap This is not your average bar. The Brass Tap has 50 draft beers from craft to international, including THC seltzers and everything in between. My experience was the bar staff at the Brass Tap are very attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. Oh, and the food...It is on point! The Tap does not serve the "normal bar food. It is amazing! Yes, you can even have it delivered, via DoorDash, Uber eats, etc. Well done BrassTap! Much needed for Kingwood. read more

We have been regulars here ever since it opened and this place has really gone down hill in the last couple of months. The food used to be really good and has become very mediocre. The nachos did not have any cheese on them last time we went. It appears that they may have had a management change since the previous managers name is no longer on the door. We have given it 2 additional tries after the first bad experience and won't be back. read more

Trying so hard to like this place . Still need help on service side , more training . This vist wife tried the brisket ,Mac and cheese sandwhich said it was excellent. I ordered wings and they were decent . Alos ordered the Guac and chips, claims it's homemade but NOT. This item is $ 11.00 , a full TRAY of not so good chips arrived with a 4 OUNCE CUP of guacamole! The same cup size that my dressing came in for my wings ! Ridiculous, I asked waitress if this was the $ 11.00 portion? She said she would check and returned with a yes ! Very disappointed and this should be shared up front . Same price guacamole made fresh at most resturants is enough for two . I assumed a manager may come out and discuss , but nope . read more

5 stars alone for their pretzels! They were soft and buttery. Unlike most places which are hard. Service was super friendly. And the drinks are a hard hitter! My husband had the hot wings, and he devoured them. I had the tikiman drink and left giggling. ;) we will definitely be returning! read more

We've been wanting to try this spot and finally got our chance this afternoon. I was excited to see the very large selection of beer, especially the local breweries. We weren't sure on a couple so our waitress brought us a couple of samples. It helped us decide which ones to choose from. The only problem was that the beer wasn't cold enough. I expected frosted mugs and a nice layer of frost on top. Unfortunately it was not that cold. The taste was great but not enough to offset the temperature of the beer. We didn't order a second round. My wife had the steak sandwich and it was very tender and had great seasoning on it. My burger was juicy and very flavorful. If I had to quibble it would be the frozen fries. I would like to see fresh fries with the entrees. It may be just me but that would put it over the top. Hopefully they'll get the temperature fixed because we really could use another place that serves ice cold beer here in Kingwood. read more

Great food and service, Jonathan was a walking encyclopedia of beer knowledge and recommended nothing but winners!

We were excited about this new business in Kingwood. Hoped for a new place with a good happy hour and food. We enjoy craft beer and usually meet on Friday afternoons after work. Their happy hour beer special was very limited and not a good value. To highlight one dollar off of a few beers isn't worth the time to go there. Why not offer a beer special that includes a all beer. We also ordered a margarita pizza that was served barely hot and very sparse toppings. Maybe they will consider a better beer special to drive new business. For now there are better choices to be had nearby. I would add that the service was very good. read more

Everything was amazing. Bartenders are top tier. Singo bingo is always such a great hit and so much fun. It is extremely busy but the food and drinks kept flowing without nearly no unacceptable wait. Donis was on top of her drinks! Hard to do with such a busy bar. So happy to see this place properly managed and staffed behind the bar. Wow. 10 stars. read more

All things considered, I want to preface this by saying I will give them grace because I know they are new. But just for a little bit of constructive criticism, my husband and I went here for the first time tonight. And I believe the drinks were pretty decent, but the food is subpar. I do not mean this to be harsh, but I would say it is a kin to bowling alley food. The fries tasted like they came from the grocery store and they just put a bunch of onion and garlic powder on them. The burger was OK but not good. The service was OK, a little slow. But again, I understand that they are new and getting things in order. We probably will return, but I probably will only go to the bar. We love to go to three B's, and definitely prefer them. read more

i got the chicken poblano tacos from the happy hour menu and they were delicious! they came with chips and salsa for only $9 all together. my friend got the happy hour burger and it was pretty big and even had bacon on it. drinks were good too, i had the raspberry lemon drop martini which i enjoyed. wednesdays are also half price wine read more

I was out in Kingwood recently and stopped in The Brass Tap. I was so impressed with the service! And the manager, her name was Sherri, She was awesome! It's ok. Food was mediocre, service was below average. Hardly anyone in the place and you can't get a waitress for 25 min. Unacceptable.
