Super glad to have discovered what's clearly a local hotspot…read more Summary: - The good: draft beer selection, friendly service, good beer knowledge, good craft beer selection, large space, good food. - The not-so-good: parking is limited and therefore sucks when it's crowded, dark beers are served just as cold as light beers, and they need mozzarella sticks or cheese curds on the menu. That's right. Adding fried cheese to the menu is important to me. Because beer + fried cheese = happiness. It is known. Forgot what apps we DID enjoy, but they were good. Even if they weren't fried cheese. Love good stout and porter selection, and they have it! Love to see a bar that hasn't turned all of their craft taps to IPA. Good to have variety, folks. Especially in winter. It WOULD be amazing to have dark beers served just a *wee bit* closer to cellar temp... not true cellar (too much for Americans), but at least in the 40's F. Just be ready for crappy parking and you'll be good to go. It's worth the patience to find a parking spot if it's busy!

Everything I had tased is yummy, but it's the naked Cajun Lemon Pepper wings that I keep coming back to. Steller tap list (and clean lines). Additionally, they have an extensive selection of canned beers and THC beverages you can take home or consume onsite. Friendly service! We are always greeted with smiles, the staff cares about the beers and your experience.

Brewery #384 My…read moreexperience at Copperhead Brewing was a little weird. The place itself has a weird vibe with Life magazine pages all over the walls. I first thought it was wallpaper made to look like Life magazine pages, but some pages seemed to be peeling. I don't mind reading hemorrhoid ads from the 60's while drinking my beer per se, just an observation. The furniture was mismatched like estate sale items picked up from people who wanted to think they were high class in the 1960's. You could probably still smell Lucky Stripes every time you sat on the seat cushions. There was no music playing and there were only 6 or 7 (don't you dare do that 6-7 thing with your hands while reading this!) other people inside. So, I had to listen to this pretentious group talking about opera, the child welfare system and other topics while their noses were up and pinkies were out. There was an older guy on the opposite end of the room that seemed to be loudly mocking them. He thanked me for coming as I was leaving.... was he the owner? LOL. I ordered my standard flight from a very nice lady that seemed to be new. I got 2 IPA's (Mongoose Slayer and Striker IPA) that were solid, a Black Venom stout that was ok and a Belgian Quad (Medusa) that I wasn't fond of. There are no food options, but I assume there are food trucks from time to time. The outdoor area has a few games and tables and a more normal atmosphere. If they had some music to drown out Lilith and Frasier, I'd go back and give them a try.

They have a decent selection of drinks and a nice outdoor patio. My kids grabbed Battleship and Connect Four and enjoyed sitting in the hammocks while drinking their soft drinks. There is a food truck outside but we chose to eat at the game instead. It's a great deal for parking and we also grabbed a couple drinks on the way back instead of heading straight home. Looks like they have some fun events during the week as well!

There's a handful of breweries in and around downtown that are worth a visit and Frost Town is one…read moreof them. Fun fact: the brewery is named after the Frost Town settlement which is considered one of the first neighborhoods in the city of Houston. Frost Town is a few blocks from Daikin (still haven't adjusted to the name change) and is a popular spot for folks to go before/after Astros' games. The brewery is quite large and is great for groups. It's two stories, though I've never sat upstairs. There's a nice sized patio as well. According to their website, they're family friendly and dog friendly too. I've enjoyed all of the beers that I've tried including the Kolsch and Pub Ale. I haven't ordered a flight, but I like that you can order up to 6 pours (I've never seen a beer flight with more than 4-5 pours). In addition to beer, they offer wine, cider, and NA beverages. They offer weekly specials like $5 fruit beers on Fridays. They also have events like game nights, yoga (Sundays), and trivia night (Wednesdays). If you're planning to hang awhile, they have a shelf full of board games near the bathrooms for patrons to play. They sometimes have a food truck on site, although the times that I have visited, they didn't have one. They do allow patrons to bring in outside food (if you need a Tex Mex fix, Irma's is nearby). I have not had any issues with parking, though the times that I visited haven't been super busy. They have a parking lot as well as street parking (free after 6 pm and all day on Sundays). Frost Town is super chill and laid back. Just the way I like it!
