Food was great, the employees are super sweet and helpful. Love this cute, quiet and hidden spot. We live in the area and have been wanting to stop by and glad we finally remembered.

My family lives about 5 minutes from this restaurant and I never even knew it! Glad I came across this place, very beautiful environment, lots of space to hang out. Already looking forward to going back so I can see more of what this place has to offer. Got the Cluck City Sandwich, pretty good, I did wish it came with a few more fried pickles (I only like got 2 ) The chicken was good, breading was great, but I think the juice of the chicken made the sandwich get soggy a bit too quickly. The fries that came with it were very good, nice and crispy and great flavor. The staff was very friendly, always keeping an eye out for what customers may need. Can't wait to go back when I visit my family in Houston again to try the beer and the games! I did see they had a game room, so I'm very intrigued to see what games they have!

Absolutely loved our visit to City Acre Brewery! From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel right at home--warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The new menu is full of exciting and creative options, and we had a hard time choosing what to try first (a good problem to have!). The handcrafted sodas are a unique and refreshing touch, and the beer? Outstanding. You can really taste the care and craft that goes into every pour. We were lucky enough to chat with the brewer--charming, passionate, and clearly dedicated to making the experience special for everyone who visits. And the food! The burgers are absolutely next level--made in-house, juicy, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the brews. You can tell there's a lot of heart behind everything they do here. We couldn't recommend City Acre Brewery more and are already looking forward to our next visit!

Don't let the first impression of the location fool you. We were met with excellent customer service a super cool outdoor area, and expansive library of board games to play while we waited. We were blown away by the food! What a great way to start our trip to Houston! Highly recommend!!

This community is lucky to have such an awesome space. The brewery has tasty beer and food, plus they have a very unique game building and a huge variety games. Definitely the most expansive example I've seen of that, I wish I lived in the area!

Came here with my family to meet up for lunch and greatly enjoyed our visit. There was plenty of room outside for the kids to play, and they are dog friendly. We ordered a couple of beers and food. The guy helping us navigate the food and beers was super friendly and very helpful. We sample some beers and then ordered our food. My little cousins enjoyed their house made rootbeers, and we enjoyed their berry IPA and Mesa Cerveza. Food came out pretty quickly, and overall, it was really good. The chicken for the chicken and waffles was very moist and had the perfect crunchy skin. The only tiny issue I had was that the waffles were very sweet. With the hot syrup it it was a little sweetness overload. There tots, though, are AMAZING! Excited to go back to try more!

We really enjoyed this brewery. It has two indoor areas where you can order food and drinks. It also has two outdoor areas. There are games provided in every area and great music playing. The service was quick and very helpful. Every member in the staff made you feel comfortable to ask questions and chat. The property was also beautiful and great to hang out at. Overall, I highly recommend a visit.

It's located in a neighborhood of a part of town that I typically don't go to, but it's not that far from downtown. There's a large parking lot so parking isn't an issue either....win! And it's the perfect COVID gathering or date spot as all tables are outdoors and properly spaced out. It's a very chill and cute atmosphere with the gardens on the side and trees. Feels like an outdoor party in someone's backyard. Menus are also accessible via QR code and hand sanitizer is provided. They had a more extensive drink menu than I expected for a microbrewery, so even if you don't drink or like beer you have options, which is very nice. We visited during Oktoberfest weekend and the food was surprisingly very good! Excellent service also from the staff. Great food, great beer...you really can't ask for anything more!

We stopped in and I asked if they did flights and I simply got a rude "nope" and the guy just looked away. So I ordered a Happy Accidents pale ale that was decent. I asked if they had stickers and I got the same "Nope". I asked if they ever had them or if they were just out, "out" was the reply. Not exactly a chatty guy. So, this most recent visit, I came with a couple buddies. We stopped in before the World Baseball Classic. Still no flights and still no stickers. (The stickers are important for my garage man cave wall!). However, the beertender was a much friendlier lady this time and I got an orange fudge stout that wasn't very good. The place itself is pretty cool for the most part. Really big outdoor area with a bunch of shipping containers turned patio covers. There are a bunch of pinball machines, and the decor is fun. They are also heavy on the cannabis side of things. Areas for improvement: Get some stickers offer flights so people can try your beers parking sucks

In addition to beers on tap, they also have this cool concept of in which flavored ice cubes of orange juice and different flavors are placed inside Prosecco, for a refreshing mimosas which I thought was neat. I got a flight and sat outside. The flight included 6 beers (SCORE!) 4 IPA's, a stout and a hefeweizen but you can get unlimited 4 oz beers. All of them really good Humboldt Hazy being my favorite. It was delicious, hoppy, juicy glass of perfection. The beertenders were very friendly and knowledgeable. They have food trucks that park out front plus there are other eateries down the street. When we got here, we 1st went to their gift shop so I can get a sticker for my garage wall and ended up picking up a tin tacker too. They even threw in a few free glasses. Score! Everything was reasonably priced too. From there we went to the Biergarten because they had a huge TV to watch the football game. To my slight disappointment, the tap list outside was limited and they didn't have flights, so we went back inside. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar and I got my flight. The tap list is very large, and they have 5 rotating tap room exclusives that they call "Fun Series". I always love to see this. Take notes Shiner! Their flights are 5 beers each (always love the larger flight boards.....also take more notes Shiner with your measly 3 beer flights) so I got 3 different IPA's, a brown ale and a pumpkin lager. I usually hate pumpkin beers, but this one was quite good. My favorite was the Rodeo Clown Double IPA. The lady friend was able to get a non-alcoholic beer that they also brew. We didn't get any food, but I will certainly be back to try it.

They prepared my food ahead of time. Pizzas, Brussels sprouts that we all fought over, hummus, nachos, and 3 sets of wings. When we arrived the tables had reserved signs with our group name. It was 3pm so we were all starving. We ordered drinks at the bar and some of my group members pointed out all the pride flags making them feel welcome and happy to patronize this place. People commented on the ginger beer and loved every single thing on our tables. Most awesome is that they didn't want a deposit two weeks before when I called even though I offered since they were making so much food for 20. I wanted them to know we were really going to show up. As a group of artists, we loved the artwork especially the mural with Houston letters. We took a group photo and some of us headed back on the road to SA completely satisfied. Others loved the vibe of the place and neighborhood and decided to stay longer and explore some more. Thank you Gristworkz!

Inedible steak night…read more I've been coming to Gristworkz. They brew their own beers, have a huge kitchen with pizzas and finger foods. Each night has a special. They have indoors and outdoors seating. They accept dogs on the patio. Parking is rather easy. But this time, on Wednesday, the food didn't meet expectations. Service was great. The two gentlemen are at the bar, super friendly and ready to take your order. Wednesday is steak night. We came here to try and this will be the first and last night for the food, and might even be on the bottom of my list to get out of my way for beers as well. We've got two orders of steak, $25 each, which is rather affordable, or so we thought. You have to order sides, which is fine. I chose brussel sprouts and caramelized onions and a basket of tater tots. You get a buzzer. The brussel sprouts came out first. Cooked and ok to eat. Then, the steaks took a while. The entertaining part is that you can see the kitchen. But I see one of the cooks touching the meats for a bit too long. Fine, use a thermometer to ensure the steaks are cooked to our requests. But my rare steak was served luke warm. I might be too demanding. Let's see the second order, which took an additional dozen minutes to be served. At a medium rare, the steak was unfortunately inedible. Luke warm once again, and ultra chewy. No matter what teeth, what knife, whatever cutting method, it was a piece of plastic. I was horrified. Was I too harsh on steaks ? Neither orders had flavors besides a quick peppery taste. The caramelized onions weren't a side, they were served on top of the second steak order. Let's not forget about the tator tots. When they were served after the brussel sprouts, they were also close to cold. I asked to be warmed up or redone. Then, they tasted like full of oil. Was their frying oil not hot enough ? I don't know what's happening but all the food orders failed. The one memory I have from the kitchen is staring at the cooks touching flipping massaging those steaks with the thermometer. With gloves but they weren't edible. So... Did she know ? Back to the bartenders, I mentioned the results and they did not wait to refund both orders, which was a very generous act. Last comment was "they didn't receive the proper meat order". Then, don't serve it !!! Say they're sold out ! Something. Don't pretend to do something well to lose the trust of the patreon. Very disappointed. It was supposed to be a steak night, enjoying the cooler weather outdoors with beers. We finished that first and one beer and ran out as soon as we could. Still hungry.
