    Outside patio with fans

I came by on Saturday early afternoon for the first time. It's a chill little spot. They have outdoor picnic style seating with fans (win!), indoor seating, and bar seating. Small parking lot on the side. Surprisingly, not packed. Probably a lot of regulars drop in and pick up to go. Drinks- they don't have any sours. There menu is limited, maybe 6 or 8 styles, but this may be intentional of the brewer? I had the "Intellectual Brew" which was hoppy & pleasant for my taste. And the "R house" which was a pale ale, and super easy to drink. Service- was simple enough. Server, let me try before I buy, a plus. Food- they also had a food truck on site, with some yummy tacos that I enjoyed. I believe they rotate different ones from time to time.

Cozy and neat. Wall of Oregon and Alaska T-shirt's framed in the corner made my heart happy. The first beer I had was a traditional Hefeweizen with heavy clove flavor. It was well done, lightly carbonated, and tasty. The second beer was a well-balanced IPA. When I think of balanced IPAs, I am looking for the beer that gives some strong hoppyness without a lot of bitterness on the back end. This beer did a good job with that. All the beers looked like they are developed well, but nothing jumped out to me as eclectic or outside the norm. Solid IPA, stout, hefeweizen, etc. The service was sort of friendly. When we asked about non-beer options the rather dry answer was, "water and root beer." Also, I think they were busy and a little overwhelmed, plus it appears the keg blew as they tried to pour my beer. The food truck outside looked and smelled awesome. There were paper menus spread throughout the brewery making it easy to peruse the menu. My partner commented on the "rooty" flavor of the root beer. Totally in a positive way. Not too sugary or sweet.

Maria's kitchen was absolutely delicious, the bar staff is the nicest people and the environment is so cute think a old school garage shop/gas station turned indoor/outdoor bar 10/10 so cute and chill

What a little neighborhood gem! The location and brews are all very thoughtful & creative. Love that they're dog-friendly. They even have little treats. Great vibe!

I'd just arrived in Houston to visit family and friends, and wanted to bring all parties together for a drink. My cousin suggested meeting at Baileson's to enjoy a brew and an al fresco lunch. As I walked up, I discovered that Baileson's is built on the site of a converted gas station and garage. I love the use of space! I sampled several wheat beers and a sour, which were all delicious and perfect for a warm day of reunions and amazing conversation. Service was very friendly and I was surprised at how affordable the beers were. There was even a vendor serving Mexican food, which we definitely needed to sample. Platters of quesaadillas, street tacos, and quesabirrias were the perfect compliment to the atmosphere and we finished every single one. The locals all live nearby and visit often, and I'm looking forward to returning to Houston for beers, birrias, family and friends. Food: 9/10 Service: 10/10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 10/10

Great local little brewery. They are in a converted old school auto garage / service station. It's small but they also have shaded spots to sit outside and they are dog freindly, something that is always a big plus! They beers that I had were delicious and the staff were friendly. You can tell that they have a rapore with the neighborhood. The music was decent too and they had the game on. What more could you ask for? Can't wait to come back.

This brewery was just what this neighborhood needed. Everyone who lives in the area comes here to hang out, and they all keep coming back. It is an especially dog-friendly environment (there are even dogs in the logo/theme of the place), with a big front yard space and water bowls. There is a usually a good truck parked out front if you get hungry while you're there. They usually have local games on TV too if you're trying to stay on top of scores. The menu is primarily IPAs (very good ones), but they also have a Hef I enjoy. If beer isn't your thing, there is a wine bar next door that lets you bring a glass or a flight over to sit with your friends outside the brewery. All-in-all a great little spot to hang out with friends if you're in the neighborhood.

Baileson Brewing is a fun neighborhood option in the Rice Village area. I truly enjoyed this brewery and loved the laid-back atmosphere. My favorites from the tap wall included the Bearliner (Berliner Weisse) and Structural (Coffee) Stout. I look forward to returning.

Nice place, we sat outside and I had a coffee porter. I petted puppies and had the veggie (vegan) dog from the food truck. It's an old gas station and nice to enjoy a local beer

Love the fact that this place even exists! It's no nice to have a local brewery, in the loop, that's not large and overcrowded. I like the small, neighborly feel that this offers. I also love the fact that they are dog friendly. We had a great time! They have a beer flavor to fit anyone's taste profile. What a good way to waste away a Sunday with friends, fur babies and beer! Parking is a hassle though!

Ask the Community - Baileson Brewing

    What's the parking situation?

Leo, we have a small parking lot next to the pub. You can also park on any of the adjacent streets, as there is no permit required to park in the neighborhood.

    Is it dog friendly?

Yes!! They have a great outdoor space which is dog-friendly. Also, I saw people with their dogs (mostly small ones) inside as well :)

The brewery is located in the East End/Second Ward and it's owned by the same folks as Brash Brewing. The building was built in the early 1900s. The taproom is moderate in size and there were quite a few tables. I had a pint of the Oktoberfest which I really enjoyed! I also ordered a flight with the following: 3 Seashells, Brash EZ 7, Spin Jammer, and the Exotica Scorpion. I didn't care for the Exotica (it was too sour for my preference), but I did like the other three that I tried. We didn't see any food during our visit, but they do have rotating vendors that sell food on site. You can also bring in food or have food delivered to the brewery. They don't have any TVs, so this wouldn't be a place to watch a game. They do allow free parking at the brewery if you want to take the train to the stadium which is pretty cool. They have weekday specials and they host events like Music Bingo and Yoga on the 4th Sunday of the month. Check their website and social media for events and specials.

There's tons of space, different sections, lots of seating, and various games to entertain. I came for a carnivorous plant show and really enjoyed my time there. It was a pretty hot day and though it didn't seem like there was AC in the space, the air flow and shade kept things cool. I enjoyed how there was space for the plant show/booths as well as a singo event on the other side. There is still a bar with select beers, cocktails, and drinks. The servers were friendly and explained why the menu seemed sparse (focusing on event space vs brewery). I got a rice lager and enjoyed it, very refreshing on a hot and humid Houston day.

It was spacious, family friendly, and cool inside despite the heat. They even had games to enjoy. I'm giving a 3 because the beer was good but not great. With that said, it's worth trying and I would return.
