We made an impromptu stop at Baileson Brewery on our way home and had a tasty experience. This brewery has over 30 beers listed online with 10 in house on tap. And if you don't drink beer they offer a few nonalcoholic options. We picked four beers to try The Chosen Family (Pils), Unsupervised Dads (West Coast Pils), Beauhaus (Hefeweizen), and Saguaro (Saison) which were ALL bold, crisp, aromatic and refreshing. The ambiance of this brewery was simple and cozy, with both indoor and outdoor seating available. Dog friendly and there were families there including children as well. Parking is limited, but there is street parking on the surrounding side streets. The staff was friendly, knowledgeable of the beers, and very welcoming, making the experience even more enjoyable. While the brewery doesn't serve food, there was a Polish hot dog vendor outside grilling fresh sausages, which was a great bonus. If you're in the area and have the time, this brewery is definitely worth a visit and 5 stars. read more

Their food truck ran out of food the evening we were there and that was a bummer because we had to find another place to eat. They have a parking in the back which is convenient. The open seating in the front is nice specially when a nice breeze is blowing after some rain. The beer was good. I came by on Saturday early afternoon for the first time. It's a chill little spot. They have outdoor picnic style seating with fans (win!), indoor seating, and bar seating. Small parking lot on the side. Surprisingly, not packed. Probably a lot of regulars drop in and pick up to go. Drinks- they don't have any sours. There menu is limited, maybe 6 or 8 styles, but this may be intentional of the brewer? I had the "Intellectual Brew" which was hoppy & pleasant for my taste. And the "R house" which was a pale ale, and super easy to drink. Service- was simple enough. Server, let me try before I buy, a plus. Good beer, good pizza, but bartender was, at first, nice, but then became very rude. He was trying to speak Spanish to me and I told him I was Brazilian and didn't speak Spanish. Not sure if this was the reason, or, because I was sitting outside, this group of people, paper pizza cover, flew over my blouse, and delayed it, with grease all over. I went ask him for a sparkling water, to save my blouse, which they don't have. Went to the bathroom to wash it out, but they didn't have soap in either bathroom!! Asked him for soap, which he had underneath the countner?! After words, I told the owner about my blouse, and she just said "oh no!" Same with the people from the pizza, who didn't even buy me a beer after damaging my blouse! Very bad experience! Cozy and neat. Wall of Oregon and Alaska T-shirt's framed in the corner made my heart happy. The first beer I had was a traditional Hefeweizen with heavy clove flavor. It was well done, lightly carbonated, and tasty. The second beer was a well-balanced IPA. When I think of balanced IPAs, I am looking for the beer that gives some strong hoppyness without a lot of bitterness on the back end. This beer did a good job with that. All the beers looked like they are developed well, but nothing jumped out to me as eclectic or outside the norm. Solid IPA, stout, hefeweizen, etc. The service was sort of friendly. When we asked about non-beer options the rather dry answer was, "water and root beer." Also, I think they were busy and a little overwhelmed, plus it appears the keg blew as they tried to pour my beer. The food truck outside looked and smelled awesome. There were paper menus spread throughout the brewery making it easy to peruse the menu. My partner commented on the "rooty" flavor of the root beer. Totally in a positive way. I'd just arrived in Houston to visit family and friends, and wanted to bring all parties together for a drink. My cousin suggested meeting at Baileson's to enjoy a brew and an al fresco lunch. As I walked up, I discovered that Baileson's is built on the site of a converted gas station and garage. I love the use of space! I sampled several wheat beers and a sour, which were all delicious and perfect for a warm day of reunions and amazing conversation. Service was very friendly and I was surprised at how affordable the beers were. There was even a vendor serving Mexican food, which we definitely needed to sample. Platters of quesaadillas, street tacos, and quesabirrias were the perfect compliment to the atmosphere and we finished every single one. It's small but they also have shaded spots to sit outside and they are dog freindly, something that is always a big plus! They beers that I had were delicious and the staff were friendly. This brewery was just what this neighborhood needed. Everyone who lives in the area comes here to hang out, and they all keep coming back. It is an especially dog-friendly environment (there are even dogs in the logo/theme of the place), with a big front yard space and water bowls. There is a usually a good truck parked out front if you get hungry while you're there. They usually have local games on TV too if you're trying to stay on top of scores. The menu is primarily IPAs (very good ones), but they also have a Hef I enjoy. If beer isn't your thing, there is a wine bar next door that lets you bring a glass or a flight over to sit with your friends outside the brewery. All-in-all a great little spot to hang out with friends if you're in the neighborhood. read more

I love me some good brews. With dog-friendly space. And options for indoor/outdoor seating. AND they fill up personal growlers if you want to email ahead to place an order (info is on their IG). They're dog-friendly, kid-friendly and COVID-aware. I've been here multiple times with different folks and also for pick up. I love that since COVID they've been very safe with distancing and giving chips out with every beer purchase. Their restrooms are clean and they have lots of outdoor seating vs indoor spots. Their beers are divine...I love their variety of wheats to darks and pale ales. I also love the people who work there. They also have one restroom that is gender-inclusive and clean! Parking is kind of rough. Idk where most people park (probs across the street), but they only have a small parking "lot" that's basically about 5 spaces that are shared with other businesses in the same lot. It's tight. This brewery never disappoints. They've got amazing brews and a lot of folks with puppies! If you love dogs and beer, then this place is definitely for you!! They are super puppy friendly. This brewery is very cozy, even when it's busy. It's definitely a local neighborhood brewery. Maybe that's why I love it so much. They have a food truck available if you get hungry. It comes whenever they are open. The only thing is that parking sucks if they are busy. It's quite a walk to the brewery if you do street parking. One of my favorite breweries in the city and my go-to spot for Friday post-work beers! The owners are passionate about their beers and you can tell they've worked hard to make it an inviting and fun neighborhood spot. It's a converted old gas station, which is such a cool vibe, and extremely dog friendly - in fact, Baileson is named after the owner's two dogs (Bailey and Jameson!). There's always a food truck posted there if you need a quick bite to eat, and they have a partnership with the neighboring wine bar where you can bring wine over and sit at Baileson as long as someone in your party got a beer. Makes it easy and flexible if you come with friends who might not be beer fans! I've loved every beer I've tried and it's my favorite place to unwind and kick start the weekend. read more

Baileson Brewing is the new kid on the block, so we had to check it out a few days after it opened. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of beers they had on tap for such a new brewery. They have tables outside and a decent amount of seating inside. We can with our dog after reading that it was dog-friendly. The brewery itself is named after the owners' dog, so they fully embrace the dog theme, and even welcome furry friends inside, which is so nice! We ordered a flight, so we could sample most of the brews they had on tap. We tried the Oktoberfest, Honey Nugget, Amarillo Hopkins, Structural Stout, and the Masinghorn. Of the bunch, I liked the Masinghorn the best. It was hard to tell the Oktoberfest from the Amarillo Hopkins even though one should have been significantly more hoppy. On our second visit, I don't remember what I tried, but I really liked it! Overal, Baileson is making tasty, high quality beers, it is around the corner from us, and we love the vibe. read more

It was very refreshing to see a new brewery walking/biking distance if you live in the Rice Village and Greenway Plaza area. The atmosphere was cozy and its location is just far enough away to avoid the Rice Village madness. Parking wasn't bad (and it is free), however we did go around 8pm and it did get more crowded as the night went on. Unlike the other small breweries, there seemed to be a decent amount of seating available inside with air conditioning, which is plus in Houston. We ordered a flight of all 6 beers that Baileson had to offer, and my personal favorites were the Honey Wheat and Oatmeal Stout. The oatmeal stout had a nice rich, silky, roasted flavor which was perfect for a chilly night. One thing is, there isn't much variety if you're not a fan of the bitter flavor that comes with Pale Ales and IPA's. Hopefully, their selection expands overtime. So the space is a little cramped and we couldn't find a chair or good parking but as long as the beer is good then we are happy. And guys, the beer is pretty good. If you want to find a local, neighborhood brewery where you can bring the dog, or just hang with a bunch of the regulars, this is your place. I could literally walk to this place considering I live so close. During the pandemic, they are (of course) allowing beer to be picked up, but it is a cute little brewery. The beer selection seems to stick to a wide variety of IPA's from Amarillo Hopkins to Masinghorn, and from El Kapitan to Modern Mo'Tralaxy. I was able to come up and get a crowler of Beauhaus, which is a hefe. They come in quart size cans, which really wowed me because it was a first for me. I took it home, let it chill in the fridge for a while, then had a taste. This beer reminds me of one that's not too hoppy, but just hazy enough for a good taste. I think I'll have to try more of their beer because they have tastings sort of like trying a flight. My friends at Free Grillin' always do a steak night every first Friday of the month at this particular location. So if you're feeling in the mood for a great steak, come see the guys here and you'll be amazed. It will certainly go good with some of those tap IPA's that this little brewery has to offer. There isn't enough parking in the front, but I'm sure there will be places nearby that will let people park on the street and take the short walk to the brewery. There isn't any food, but they do let you bring your own, or have it delivered so that you can enjoy it right there on the patio! This is our favorite Houston Brewery. We love their hazy IPAs-juice box hero, modern Mo and hey Zeus. I like their west coast IPA, parliament and their Saison. We even have taken some on family trips and my dad loves their Structural stout. They have a small area of parking on the side, but most people park across the street in a larger lot. They always have a food truck, wichcraftpub and Maria's is my ALL time favorite. Can't say enough good things about Baileson!!! We love it there! read more

I want to give this place a total 5 star, but I can't. Here's why. As a brew, 5 star. Amazing beer across the board, I've brought plenty of people here and they've all applauded the great brews. But this is where it fails.... ...the dog situation as a location, is terrible. It is a dog friendly place, which I have no problem with. But keep it actually outside. The issue is people bringing the dogs into the inside area, and then they bark. They do their sonic boom yaps. It's terrible. It kills the mood. It kills the vibe. That being said, if your love for beer outweighs your vibe then this is a 5 star joint. If you love a vibe, then plan on sitting outside (where the dogs aren't at...) and plan for the heat with great brews. This was a decent place to grab a beer. Honestly though, I didn't get any amazing vibes off of the place. I came in, grabbed my beer from the 3-4 selections available, sat, and drank it. There was an ok food truck outside, but the food was average and the service didn't stand out as something special. I wanted to like this place. I live near it and I enjoy chill brewery spots, but I just didn't get any special vibes from this one. That said, I drive by it all the time and it seems really popular, so maybe I just didn't come at a great time. We randomly drove by this on a Saturday afternoon and decided to stop in. We had a glass of their IPA which was amazing. I have to say I'm not a beer person (my husband is the beer fanatic) but I enjoyed it. They even offered to let me bring a glass of wine from the place next door and drink it with my husband. They allow dogs inside, which I'm sure most people love. But I'm a bit afraid and allergic. It was fine, I found a seat away from them. But just FYI if that bothers you. I love coming here and the beer keeps getting better! The three star review is because I always bike here and I every time I'm here I see other people biking here and they don't have any bike racks. It's a massive oversight and it would improve my experience so much if they had good bike racks. Edit: Baileson responded to me and informed me that, while they bought a bike rack, they have no solution about where to put it and have no plans to install a bike rack any time soon. It's a bummer but everything in my review seems like it will be true for the foreseeable future. The brewery suggests that anyone who bikes there can just leave their transportation unsecured outside and that will be fine. read more
