    Monster Beast Theatre. Cookie ale

Enjoyed a beer last night. Loved that there was free games to play also while hanging out. Tons to walk around looking at or activities to play with friends or maybe a new person you meet there. The cookie ale was amazing. I felt that the hard seltzer was something I'd expect from a college party smell wise not in a good way. Overall though the others like the hazy ipa were tasty. The bartender is who recommended my choice when I told him I liked everything. I am impressed he got me so excited easily.

Bad Astronaut Brewing in Houston served as another interesting stop on our brewery tour. The sitting area is massive, and judging by the abundant signage, they host a variety of events. There's also a fun mix of games scattered around, which adds to the overall lively atmosphere. However, our beer tasting was pretty average--decent but nothing that screamed "take me home!" The real adventure turned out to be finding a decent spot to sit. We tried several tables, only to discover most were either wobbly or in need of a good cleaning. Eventually, we resorted to improvising: we grabbed a towel, wiped down the least dirty table we could find, and even wedged some napkins under a leg to steady it. If you're on a brewery tour, it's a cool spot to check out. But if you're planning a dedicated trip, your either a local and this is your go-to, or it's the last brewery you haven't been to in Houston.

Sometimes when I describe bars and breweries in Houston to out-of-town friends, I often say we have so much space we don't even know what to do with.. and Bad Astronaut Brewing is almost the perfect example. it's a large warehouse space with a great selection of beers and free bar games. Who doesn't love free billiards, air hockey and hoops?! I like the fact the venue is ideal for hosting large parties and events, with plenty of seating for sports watching. It's dog friendly, kids friendly, and features food trucks outside. Plus there's plenty of parking (at least when I went in the daytime) in their back lot. Lots of beers to choose from, they can even do a half-pour if you feel like sampling a few stouts. This spot is definitely on my revisit list, if anything I will be back for the hoops and beer!

Great location (near other breweries on the north of downtown) and great concept: cold local brews, select wines on tap, non-a selection, food trucks, and free games! Lazy, easy-going, boring Sunday and we wanted to get out and watch the Astros & the few futbal games.

The best part about the brewery is the eclectic vibes and art, as well as all the games available to play. Pool, ping pong, air hockey, foosball, and basketball shooting (all for free). A lot of events and collaborations, such as cumbia night! The beer, however, was meh.

We go several 5ounce beers to try. You can't go wrong with any of them.

Super fun and quirky place. Very cool vibe! They have pool tables, basketball, etc. They have several large TV for easy viewing and fans to keep things cool! The beer is great and there are lots to choose from.

Nice meet up spot after work or hanging out with friends. I came here after work to meet up with some old colleagues. Great beers, awesome pizzas and free games. The games consist of basketball, foosball, pool and air hockey. The brewery was not busy and not as crowded. Staffs were friendly and let you sample beers/ciders if you asks. They also allow pets indoors which brings me joy. Cannot wait to revisit this place again.

As an experience - Bad Astronaut is the perfect location for throwing a birthday party, inviting your entire friend group out for some beers & a Shuffleboard competition, watching the game with your dogs on a Saturday afternoon, or taking photos for the Gram with graffiti backdrops. IMO this is the place to go to when you want to enjoy good beer but also a fun time. They have multiple pool tables/foosball/shuffleboards and games galore. There is no shortage of backdrops for photo ops , even in the parking lot! Bring the kids, the dogs, and the entire gang. They also have multiple NA beer options for those in your crew who don't drink. Onsite parking available as well as street parking. Large bar to order at. Some merch for purchase. Clean bathrooms. Plenty of weekly events to attend such as Monday Air Hockey Tournaments & Tuesday open mic comedy nights at 8pm. I would go back here any day of the week purely for the atmosphere alone (The beer is nice too!)

Fun place for adults and is also kid friendly. This converted warehouse space has plenty of try of room to spread out and enjoy free games. My teen nephew had is birthday party here and it was a perfect place. Pizza, beer (alcoholic and nonalcoholic) and cocktails are on the menu. There is a small parking lot in the back and street parking around the venue.

We love hanging out here at bad astronaut. The main draw for us is the big space with the free games - pool, foosball, air hockey, table tennis etc. Their beer is also not bad and they have some beer cocktails as well to add to the variety. As far as food, they have a taco stand sometimes. Parking is decent and has never really been an issue for us. Staff are friendly, and they allow puppies inside. I'm actually surprised this place isn't super busy every time we go. There's always been a crowd, but it's never super packed. If you're looking for a chill brewery to hang with friends, try this place out.

What is the parking situation like? Where do we park?

It can be a challenge during peak hours. There is a small lot adjacent to the building, and street parking all around. You might have to make laps.

Is there a time when it becomes adults only?

    After 9pm daily!

The ambiance was great for the holiday they had themed drinks and specials going on, which added a fun touch and made it feel festive without being chaotic. Definitely a solid spot if you're looking for somewhere social but still comfortable. The drinks were good, and overall the vibe was on point. It felt like a place you could hang out for a while, whether you're there to celebrate something or just have a few drinks with friends. One thing to note is they don't serve food, I did hear they rotate food trucks at times, but none were there when we went which was a bit of a downside, but they did allow us to bring in outside food, which honestly made up for it and gave us more options. Parking wasn't too bad when we went, and since it wasn't super packed, everything felt smooth and easy. Overall, great vibes, good drinks, and a fun place. Definitely a spot I'd come back to for a casual hangout or social night out.
