TL;DR: Another great microbrewery with a full bar and live music! I selfishly want to keep this place to myself, but I loved my visit so much that I had to review it immediately. If it hadn't been for Yelp, I wouldn't have discovered this hidden gem in the first place. My friend and I had drinks at H-Town Brewing the other day. I chose this place because they have a full bar which is very unusual. The photos of the cocktails looked really good too which intrigued me. H-Town is tucked away in a neighborhood near White Oak Music Hall (WOMH). My GPS took me out of the way and had me turning down a bunch of side streets for no reason instead of just directing me to turn onto Glen Park St. from N. Main. They have a decent sized parking lot (a larger one in the front, smaller one on the side), however I could see parking being an issue if they host a large event. On the day of our visit, traffic wasn't an issue. Given it's proximity to WOMH, traffic may be heavy on days when they have an outdoor show, so plan accordingly. I ordered a flight which comes with any 4 beers on the menu. Bartender Jocelyn let me taste some of the beers before choosing. I was undecided on one of them so she threw in an extra tasting on the house! Bartender, Dustin helped me carry the flight to my table which was so nice. The staff checked in on us throughout the evening which was awesome! I had the Golden Boy, Juice Box Hazy, Hazy Train, Texan wHEAT Wave, and the Peach IPA (bonus pour). I enjoyed all of them, especially the Peach IPA (which is crazy because I don't usually go for IPAs). I also had a pint of the Live Oak Lager which I enjoyed. There's plenty of seating indoors as well as out on the deck. They also have a bunch of picnic tables on the other side of the parking lot near the food truck. They had live music on the deck from Taylor Marberry. She was excellent! In addition to live music, they host events like salsa night. They had a guest food truck on the day we visited, however they usually have a food truck called H-Town Street Food. Outside food is allowed too which is a plus. H-town has been open for 7 months. They haven't started selling beer in stores yet, but that is in the works. Breweries have been struggling, so I really hope H-Town does well! Support local, y'all!

This may not necessarily be the best way to rate a brewery but OMG it is so beautiful!!!! It's gorgeous inside and out. I can't wait to visit in cooler weather when I can sit under the gorgeous trees. I enjoyed a flight of dark and light beers. I'd definitely recommend the light beers. The dark beers need a bit of tweaking. They taste too watery. It's nice that they have a full bar for my non-beer loving friends. Service was quick. They also have a fun range of games to play.

Really nice and clean brewery with great entertainment. The owner goes around and checks on people too for great service. A place that I would recommend and go back to for a chill place.

I wish I could say I had a chance to try this establishment but the customer service really let me down. I came across an IG post that really captured my attention as I am looking for a group outing & activity to celebrate my best friend birthday. I reached out via email to the email listed on their website. No response after a week. I then filled out the contact form on their website website which said I could expect a response within 48hrs. Needless to say it's been 5 days. I tried to reach via IG and they don't accept messages. My best friend really wanted to do H-town Brewing so she called today and she was welcomed to "The person you have dialed can't take your call right now" message. It shouldn't be this difficult to try to give your business to an establishment. Nor should it be impossible to reach a business that promotes to Host Your Next Event with them. Believe me we tried. We had high hopes and we are only left highly disappointed. I really hope H-Town Brewing does better to improve their lines of communication.

A very memorable day when I visited this place, H-Town in my head as an inspiration for it and I had fun with the people I went with

I love everything about this place tho I did met a person that was in displeasure of the service being rendered but still I love it myself

Beer, trees, outdoor deck, live music stage.

The best spot you didn't know about. This place has great drinks and vibes. The location has so many trees much greenery it makes you feel like you're outside the city. Great spot for live music or for watching sports.

Amazing selection of beers, food, and stellar location. Just one street away from White Oak Music Hall. We have been here twice and love their beer. Kid-friendly and fun to hang out. The service is great and their people are knowledgable and friendly. Most importantly, their beer is amazing and has a balanced variety. This has quickly become one of my top favorite breweries in Houston.

Such a nice place. I came here when it was Black Page, and it's so cute with a nice outdoor patio. The staff was so friendly, and they even gave my dog a little goody bag! The beer is good and I had a margarita and that was delicious! I recommend going for sure!

    The beer garden

We decided to check this place out, the staff was very welcoming. Plenty open spacious areas for future gatherings and scenery was pretty nice with little white oak bayou running throughout. We didn't try the food truck but the doppelbocks were great! Will be back soon.

This is a hidden gem that is a 3 minute walk from White Oak Music Hall. They have a beautiful facility surrounded by whiet oak bayou with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The (brewed on site) beer selection is wide ranging and interesting. The food truck on site is convenient and the tacos are very good. The service is prompt and attentive. It is always empty on nights when nothing is happening at White Oak. Fantastic time to come and enjoy the ambience.

    Hot dog,

Loved the flautas, asked for them without sour cream and they put extra cheese, I loved it. Eat them quick because they can get soggy. I loved them that way. Fajita and chorizo mixed mini tacos were awesome. Salsa is good and spicy. Hot dog was okay, wiener was overcooked. I wouldn't recommend. Fries are yum and hot. I want to try the green pozole, cauliflower wings and a few other items. Stay tuned... Beer is good, we liked the Guava saison. The lemon drop martinis are great. Good wine selection.

Food truck is quite expensive and very poor quality food. They also inexplicably don't accept credit cards...which is wild.

The food was the perfect amount of food for a late night meal and everything was fresh and flavor. I regret I don't remember the name of the drink I had, but it had rum, Ube, spices, and guava.

I had…read moreheard good things for years, and I remember driving past it a couple times and not seeing it or any signage. Even this time the GPS took us to an entrance that had us going the wrong way down a one-way, but we eventually figured it out I will say that the parking isn't all that great, but we were able to find a spot. If the parking lot is full you should be able to find street parking nearby Kanpai Club is a sister location to Handos. They share a kitchen and you can walk through an inside door access either. You can find the same cocktails and bites from Handos on the Kanpai menu, but there's also additional drinks and bites The bar feels like a Japanese Izakaya. It's a narrow space resembling a Japanese outdoor bar. It's intimately lit and well decorated. We did have to wait for two spots to open up, but that didn't take too long The bartenders were friendly, professional, and efficient. We went on a Friday night (fairly late), and they had two dedicated bartenders The cocktails were fun and were beautifully crafted. Most were served in novelty glassware. You can order classic cocktails, but both Kanpai and Hando offer a variety of signature cocktails. Most having some sort of Japanese or Asian fusion. They have beer, wine, and extensive sake list, as well as green tea and other nonalcoholic options The cocktails were tasty. The only one I was iffy on was their Espresso martini. It was poured from a machine and I guess there were having issues with it. The presentation was phenomenal. There was a roasted marshmallow garnish. The drink itself was far too Smokey in flavor than I like, or at least in terms of my espresso martinis The Yuzu Kosho fries were incredible. The flavors really hit the spot. The Okinawa Potato salad was both questionable to looks and and to eat lol. This purple mound of potato's had an interesting taste, look, and consistency. It wasn't bad, just... interesting and new Some tips: If you can't find this spot from the street, look for Handos. It's part of this restaurant Ask the bartender about the happy hour menu. And most nights they're open until 12am, but on Fridays and Saturdays they are open until 2am If you order food online (technically from Hando's) you can get 10% off using code: HANDO10. This is part of their "Hando and Chill" special Cheers!!

Stopped in for a drink after work, thankfully not too far away from where I work in downtown…read more A big win for me was that they have designated parking, I had parked but wasn't sure and then saw Dylan, bartender, and I asked him and he said I was fine in the parking lot next to the bar, and that they also had parking across the street on Enid St. For me that's one thing that's important is to have parking. Midtown with their questionable parking makes me not want to go. Upon entering, the place is a nice, intimate setting, with a handful of seating areas along with bar and outside seating. Recommend bringing a light jacket as it was a bit cold. The menu had a variety of offerings, and noted that all drinks are $12. They are card only, so bring your card or tap to pay and also your ID. Because they are 3 feet from a school and are considered a private club, they comply with TABC regulations to ensure safety and efficiency in their business. From the variety of the drinks, I opted for my signature drink, an Old Fashioned, it definitely had a bite to it. I slowly sipped on it while I lounged in one of the seating areas. My sister tried the Starduster Ranch Water, and she didn't like it, I had a sip of it and it tasted like only way I can describe is like soap. Saw that they also have Mocktails and THC Beverages, I didn't try any of them. We headed out as we were trying to grab dinner and Starduster doesn't currently offer food. I did get to speak with Dylan again outside and he clued me in on a couple of things they are planning to do such as having food trucks and also open the upstairs for additional space. Overall, I know being new (had just opened last week) there are many things being worked on and do hope that things improve here and they add additional seating, it got busy for a bit and seating was standing only. Thankfully I was there early enough and got a nice cozy seating area. I removed a star because both my drink and my sister weren't really anything special, it tasted like they were premade and poured from a tap, I missed seeing each one be made. I did like that there aren't TV's inside, it helps maintain the personal interactions natural and focused. Outside they do have TV's which makes sense for bigger groups. Though the seating is limited inside, likely to maintain it as a cozy and intimate space, outside has a lot of seating AND they are PET FRIENDLY! In cold weather without heating lamps, don't think anyone would really sit out there. Once spring and summer arrive, it will be nice. On their menu they indicate "Weekly Specials" Spaghetti Western Sundays Monday Night Steak Night (not sure why it wasn't happening the day I was there, would've enjoyed some steak) Tarot Tuesdays Whiskey Wednesday
