Sometimes, the neat places you stumble upon are just off the beaten path. I came here yesterday with my friend and his band, Zenjii (they're awesome so check out them out sometime) to pregame before their show at the nearby White Oak Music Hall. My first impression of the humble establishment was that it lacks pretentiousness and offers an aesthetic of a hole in a wall minus the grime. While H-Town Brewing primarily focuses on adult beverages, it has an on-site food truck. I was full from an earlier lunch, but my friend offered me his fries and tortilla chips, which were really good. I kicked myself for having nothing but plastic because the food truck accepted only Zelle and cash (I lacked either). It was a bit quiet, but I imagine with football season just weeks away, it's the place to be to catch a game. read more

By far the easiest 5 stars I have ever given. The service was spectacular, the drinks are good, the decor is nice and modern & the vibes were spot on. My friend and I arrived at this spot at 6:30pm and it wasn't busy which is good because I don't like large crowds anyways. I approached the bartender & wanted to order an old fashioned, but he said that they don't have the type of ice to make this particular drink & he didn't want to disappoint me. I respect that he was upfront with me. So I went ahead and ordered a Jack and coke. He was generous on the pour & the drink itself was strong. Next I went ahead and got their whisky sour. The drink was sweet & tangy but it didn't overpower the taste of the liquor. To end the night I ordered the mojito and requested for them to put some tajin around it. The mojito was the strongest drink out of the 3 & the tajin went well with it. During our time there the other bartender came by to check on us a few times which was so nice of him. I like this spot because they have a food truck in case you're hungry, however their truck is currently down to repair the damages from hurricane Beryl. They did have another vendor there but it wasn't many options to pick from. They only had tacos with limited variety of meats & quesadillas. So we passed on the food. Overall, it was such a great experience. Our Bartender Dustin and the other bartender who check up on us (didn't quite get his name) was awesome. The decor on the inside was modern & clean, it was a little cold but luckily they have a nice outdoor patio to hang out. There was also live music, the performer was talented & she was nice enough to take some of my song requests as well. They have a good amount of beers to pick from & I was able to try a sample & it was delicious. I've never been to a brewery that had a full bar, so it was perfect for me since I don't drink beer that often. Will I come back? Oh heck yeah. Hopefully their food truck is up and running when I come back again. TL;DR: Another great microbrewery with a full bar and live music! I selfishly want to keep this place to myself, but I loved my visit so much that I had to review it immediately. If it hadn't been for Yelp, I wouldn't have discovered this hidden gem in the first place. My friend and I had drinks at H-Town Brewing the other day. I chose this place because they have a full bar which is very unusual. The photos of the cocktails looked really good too which intrigued me. H-Town is tucked away in a neighborhood near White Oak Music Hall (WOMH). My GPS took me out of the way and had me turning down a bunch of side streets for no reason instead of just directing me to turn onto Glen Park St. from N. Main. They have a decent sized parking lot (a larger one in the front, smaller one on the side), however I could see parking being an issue if they host a large event. On the day of our visit, traffic wasn't an issue. Given it's proximity to WOMH, traffic may be heavy on days when they have an outdoor show, so plan accordingly. I ordered a flight which comes with any 4 beers on the menu. Bartender Jocelyn let me taste some of the beers before choosing. I was undecided on one of them so she threw in an extra tasting on the house! Bartender, Dustin helped me carry the flight to my table which was so nice. The staff checked in on us throughout the evening which was awesome! I had the Golden Boy, Juice Box Hazy, Hazy Train, Texan wHEAT Wave, and the Peach IPA (bonus pour). I enjoyed all of them, especially the Peach IPA (which is crazy because I don't usually go for IPAs). I also had a pint of the Live Oak Lager which I enjoyed. There's plenty of seating indoors as well as out on the deck. They also have a bunch of picnic tables on the other side of the parking lot near the food truck. They had live music on the deck from Taylor Marberry. She was excellent! In addition to live music, they host events like salsa night. They had a guest food truck on the day we visited, however they usually have a food truck called H-Town Street Food. Outside food is allowed too which is a plus. H-town has been open for 7 months. They haven't started selling beer in stores yet, but that is in the works. Breweries have been struggling, so I really hope H-Town does well! Support local, y'all! read more

This may not necessarily be the best way to rate a brewery but OMG it is so beautiful!!!! It's gorgeous inside and out. I can't wait to visit in cooler weather when I can sit under the gorgeous trees. I enjoyed a flight of dark and light beers. I'd definitely recommend the light beers. The dark beers need a bit of tweaking. They taste too watery. It's nice that they have a full bar for my non-beer loving friends. Service was quick. They also have a fun range of games to play. read more

Tried this Brewery on a Saturday evening. The place has limited parking at the actual place with a parking fee and additional parking on N.Main for a parking fee of $15 and then you have to walk a steep downhill about 2 blocks to the Brewery. The service is very slow and the cocktail drinks made didn't taste like there was any liquor in them at all for a premium price and the draft beers were not very cold either. The place wasn't anything special or extraordinary and with that said there are way to many other better places to go to in the area and with better parking accommodations. I definitely will not return to this establishment but would say try it yourselves and judge and rate it based on your own experience, but remember there are Much Better Places. read more

I wish I could say I had a chance to try this establishment but the customer service really let me down. I came across an IG post that really captured my attention as I am looking for a group outing & activity to celebrate my best friend birthday. I reached out via email to the email listed on their website. No response after a week. I then filled out the contact form on their website website which said I could expect a response within 48hrs. Needless to say it's been 5 days. I tried to reach via IG and they don't accept messages. My best friend really wanted to do H-town Brewing so she called today and she was welcomed to "The person you have dialed can't take your call right now" message. It shouldn't be this difficult to try to give your business to an establishment. Nor should it be impossible to reach a business that promotes to Host Your Next Event with them. Believe me we tried. We had high hopes and we are only left highly disappointed. I really hope H-Town Brewing does better to improve their lines of communication. read more

We came here kind of on a whim and I'm so glad we did. It wasn't packed at all, which made it feel like we had found this little hidden gem. New mom here, and needing kid friendly places now. I came here with another mom friend and was really pleased. They were very friendly and had some seating indoor and even more outdoors. They have tv's all around to watch games. They have a cute outdoor area with a large screen. I only had beer, but I do believe they have wine and some liquor. If you want to eat, there's a good truck outside that you can order from with your phone and they'll send a message when it's ready... very convenient. Parking is free and they have a descent size lot. If you have a stroller, there's a ramp on the back of the building. read more

This is a hidden gem that is a 3 minute walk from White Oak Music Hall. They have a beautiful facility surrounded by whiet oak bayou with lots of indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of parking. The (brewed on site) beer selection is wide ranging and interesting. The food truck on site is convenient and the tacos are very good. The service is prompt and attentive. Loved the flautas, asked for them without sour cream and they put extra cheese, I loved it. Eat them quick because they can get soggy. I loved them that way. Fajita and chorizo mixed mini tacos were awesome. Salsa is good and spicy. Hot dog was okay, wiener was overcooked. I wouldn't recommend. Fries are yum and hot. Here now and definitely a relaxing vibe with good music and lights for a great ambience! The ranch water is pretty delicious, one of the best I've had. However, I cant say the same for the ipas, they lacked the same robust amd flavorful element most new micro breweries suffer from. I can only compare the taste to what happens when you make hibiscus tea and remove the hibiscus too soon from the water, it doesnt absorb the flavor of the flower so comes out tinted but not very flavorful. They have beautiful customer service and ask for your opinion so im 100% certain this brewery will be up there with Spindletap and Equal Parts very soon. read more

A visit to H-Town was on the bucket list. Once Black Page Brewery , H-Town has relit the torch. Master Brewer, John Ritter has an impressive line up showing off 27yrs in the biz. The beers are true-to-style first, then the creative side kicks in. The 13 beer offering from light to very dark is balanced and includes a sour and Seltzer. Things to try; Imperial Peach IPA, Rodeo Red an ALT, Rocket Man WC IPA, El Toro MX Lager, Abuleta MX Imperial Stout and I'll be Bock Doppelbock. Both Stout and Bock are barrel aging.​ read more

4/5 stars. Miss Jocelyn, the bartender, had a great and welcoming manner when we first arrived. She was very nice & offered us to try any of their ipa's before ordering, which I think is very important. First time here, wanted to check it out. My main attraction was the cleanliness, everything very organized, clean, and spaciousss. The music was great, I heard a bit of country, alternative music, rock music, but could be more diverse & include some hip hop, or some Spanish music to the mix. We enjoy IPA's & this brewery had a nice variety of them. Pricey beers to be honest. We had El Toro IPA, had a nice lemony flavor to it, light enough, but still strong enough at the end of its flavor. Coated with tajin on the rim, very nice. But again, pricey, in my opinion. Overall, I enjoyed it & looking forward to see how this new joint gets creative with their service/atmosphere or if they keep things the same. read more
